Wonderful overnight stay to celebrate a wedding anniversary. The room was very clean and well maintained. The food and drink service was excellent. Parking was a little difficult as it is not in the hotel but paid for the valet service to look after the car.

This is the second time my company has had a conference at the Savoy and I cannot praise the place highly enough. The food is always of a high standard, the facility is kept clean and tidy and the service is very very good.
Specific praise for Kara who was the lady helping at both conferences I have been to. She is brilliant; punctual, goes above and beyond, always smiling and keen to help.

Decent hotel. Professional staff at reception. Room was comfortable, clean and newly refurbished. Sound insulation could be better - could hear people talking in next room. Request a room with external window; there are some rooms that only look into the central atrium and would potentially get noise from the restaurant below.

Located right across the southern cross station (perfect for business trips), Vibe Savoy is a hotel with a lot of histrionic value and a story behind it (being over 100 yeas old). Interior designs are modern with a hint of victorian era vintage in it.

However, unless you are a party animal and/or a drinker, it is note worthy that hotel is just round the corner of Kings Street (a major drinking area. You may experience running into hobos, drunks, hookers, and issues arising from the intoxicated (alcohol).)

Food around the area seems a little limited given that it's more of a watering hole than a foodie area.

Foodie should stay around Flinders street area instead where there's ample to offer for you food lovers. 👍

Service wise, hotel has been quite inconsistent with refilling enmities. (Over the 6 nights I stayed, almost every single night requires me to contact the front desk for them). Though have to give the helpful staff a thumbs up as they've been very helpful and we're able to cater to all my requests without fail.

Would I recommend it?
For business trips travellers, I would.
For leisure travellers, I wouldn't.

Lovely Hotel, at least 5 stars maybe 6. Art Deco work is carried into the lovely bedroom with up to date bathroom. Excellent breakfast at $19 per with 5 star restaurant for dinner. The hotel is surrounded with all transport opportunities, free trams and all rail networks within 2/3 min walking. Our hotel in Melbourne now that we've found it.

Rooms are recently renovated, they are large and well appointed. Location is great for public transport, bathrooms are beautiful. Staff were fantastic and very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

Decent place to stay and sleep. Internet sucked for me but everything else was nice. Edit: after being here another night I feel super stopped up. Check my air filter in my room and it was almost an inch thick with dust. Today I was woken up by the sound of drilling going on through the walls. Called down and was told I have to hear this until 5pm today. This is my day off from work and I can't even relaxe in my room because it's so loud. I'm on the 8th floor and the construction is on the 5th floor. I was never warned of construction being a possibility. If it was up to me I probably would try another hotel next stay here in Melbourne.

Check in was friendly and efficient. Hotel is well located not far from the train station and airport buses. Room was updated, modern and quiet with clean linen and a comfortable bed. TV has some additional Foxtel channels (Sports, sky news, Fox 8). Small gym was fairly limited in terms of equipment and no windows, however functional. Free wifi limited to 1Mbps on two devices but faster if you pay more. Breakfast $29 or $19 if you book it the night before.

Attended one of company's event here. The rooms were quite small compared to other places where 50 people can be accommodated. The buffet lunch was good!

Good location, opposite to Southern Cross Station & 25 mins from airport by skybus . Ask them for refurbished room. No coin laundry provided but there is one nearby (google lonely socks, nice place). Room cleaning could be better.

This hotel is in the middle of a refurb. If you can get one of the finished rooms, they're lovely. They've attempted to put USB charging points directly into the walls, but they weren't working in my room unfortunately. The bathroom was lovely, and the be was really comfortable. Very close to the bus station, and a short walk or tram ride into the middle of the city. I was very unimpressed by the breakfast buffet. I'm vegetarian (no eggs) and there were limited options. Not even mushrooms!

Great hotel at a great price. The valet parking service was the icing on the cake that I never knew I needed. Clean and well serviced room.

I stayed here on a recent business trip, the room was comfortable and the bed was quite good I found the pillows to be a little annoying, I think they were feather or lacked substance. The biggest plus was the proximity to Bourke Street and the Train Station immediately across the road. I found the room to be very quiet and the only fault was that there was no milk or complementary coffee pods. I am unsure if WiFi is complementary as I didn't use it. Overall I would be happy to stay here again.

Just about everything seemed great about the hotel other than the fact that they had planned maintenance on the floor directly above our room and didn't tell us before putting us in the room. We woke to work being done with hammers and shovels before the jack hammering started before 9am, I was extremely disappointed that we weren't told this before being given the room and also being given the room which seemed to have the most amount of work being done in it the day we stayed.

Stayed in a king suite, which is very spacious. Room had a slight outdoor, but nothing too bad. Bed and pillow ok, not great, but not bad either. Air con worked a treat. My dirty linen was taken first day but not replaced. Some issue with wifi on the first night which help desk couldn't resolve. Stay was OK especially for the price.

Me and my wife went on our honeymoon (provided that information in our booking info) and the service was wonderful. They provided a bottle of champagne in the room and were receptive the whole time. We received a high room, but didn't have a view of any sights. The location was perfect. Right across the street from Southern Cross, and close to a ton of restaurants, bars, and shops.

This location is prime!!!! Right by the station. We had a slight glitch in getting the room we had ordered so they bumped us up into a great room. This location is walking distance to the free trams, there is a metro ( supermarket ) across the street and lotsa food spots close by. Hotel is super clean, rooms r very decent sized for the location. I would stay here again!

What a beautiful hotel, the lobby is very inviting with a cozy bar that has a good atmosphere. The room I had was spacious and comfy looking over Spencer Street Station. Breakfast was a good start to the day.

We attended the Vibe Hotel's V-spa for a couples pamper package for our 20th anniversary. The experience was amazing. From the second we walked in the front door we felt welcomed. The staff created a sense of calm as they introduced us to the treatment room where we had a 30 minute foot spa. Then we were taken into a private room for a one hour body massage, then a 30 minute facial followed by a private 30 minute hydro stream. We left feeling very relaxed and rate the experience "ten out of ten, will do again".

A very pleasant and comfortable lobby with a decent and spacious bar. The bar was supposed to be closed past 10 pm last night (Saturday) but they reopened it due to the number of people still asking for drinks. Concierge was very helpful.

This is quite a nice but basic hotel in a very good location at a great price.
I liked the style of the hotel but some room features like the bedheads, need a little refreshing.
Staff were friendly. Check in check out easy and simple.
Don't expect slippers robes or any other extras provided by a lot of hotels.

Biggest issue we had was noise from the other room.
People talking could be heard as if they were in your own room and this might be a deal breaker for many. Luckily for us we were only in our room once at the same time as our neighbours, but due to this, id be unlikely to stay again to be honest.

I recently stayed at this hotel for my school exam week (I live two hours away from Melbourne) and I can't say enough good things about this place. The staff was amazing, especially Mary, and the room was perfect. Thank you for making my exam week a little less stressful.

As usual, had a fantastic stay at Vibe Savoy over the June long weekend. We keep coming back each year as it's a fantastic location, great price and the wonderful Staff always make us feel so welcome.

Located right opposite Southern Cross station. Rooms are pretty Spartan and looking a bit aged but service was excellent. Wifi is very slow and not worth the hassle.

Nice staff, good coffee. Wheel in (extra) beds are a little firm and too short if your a full size adult but that is not overly suprising.

Perfect location for city break or stopover in Melbourne as close to the main train station (Southern Cross) where you can take trains out to wherever or book a hire car to do the rest of Victoria. Great sleep there, great location for Melbourne itself. However we did not get early check in and the breakfast was truly disappointing and overpriced!

Room is a little smaller then I'd prefer but nicley refurbished. Bar and foyer nicely refurbished also. Late night room service menu could be improved, I'm often a late arrival so the poor options are a negative for me.

Friendly staff who were eager and willing to help me store my frozen and refrigerated goods past check out times while I explored Melbourne for the day. Room was great with everything I needed being easily accessible.

The decor of the hotel was so beautiful and elegant. We were welcomed by wonderful, friendly staff and one in particular stood out who was Emily. She and the staff went out of their way to blow up balloons as well as leaving a a wonderful gift of wine, choccies and a beautiful card. It made my Fiances birther extra special. The room was beautiful, comfy beds and the 24 hour room service came in handy when we came back from a night out. The morning buffet was lovely and again welcomed by friendly staff and a yummy selection of breakfast and check out was smooth and farewelled by happy, lovely staff members. Location is also convenient, right across from southern cross!

Decent prices, good location, decent room size and friendly staff but a severe shortage of people on hand at one of the busiest times of the year. Service is generally friendly but extremely slow if you call from the room for anything, and the complimentary items are limited to the basic toiletries of which only one lot were provided despite three guests staying.

Dated decor and furnishings, and the bar and restaurant were similarly skeleton crew maintained like reception, as was the housekeeping team which likely comprised of one person.

Overall, would consider revisiting but only at discounted rates as you can enjoy better for a similar price range less than a minute away.

The staff are really nice and helpful. The food in the restaurant is good. The hotel is in to energy conservation. The Wi-Fi can be a little tricky to manage.

Pretty good place to stay. Got a great price through wotif mystery hotels. Shower could be better but all round pretty good!

From the outside, this place shows some old-world charm. Inside too, as the rooms are arranged around a central courtyard. Unfortunately the old world continues inside the rooms as the fittings are largely dated and not in incredibly good nick. The bathroom design is straight from the 70s and even the phone plugs are the old Telecom 602 type not the RJ12 connectors the rest of Australia has used for decades.

By some lucky reason got this chance to stay in my booking but upgrade to the most luxury level of room type the "massive suites" in vibe savoy hotels Melbourne. (Really have to thanks the hotel's made a great responsible for the system issue became my amazing experience)

The massive suites is wild, luxury and mordern design! Feel a bit like from royal family when I staying. The view can see the whole southern cross station building from the Windows. Also I ask for the daily rare for a night actually compare to other luxury hotels is very reasonable and affordable. Recommend for whoever planing to travel, and enjoy a special royal experience night with vibe

Walking distance to public transport, supermarket, cafes and Etihad Stadium. Minutes to Bourke St mall shops including Myer and David Jones and only a few stops on the Tram to Southbank and the Crown Casino Entertainment complex. A very good choice and sure to impress

All in all, this was a great place to stay. So close to everything including the Skybus and local trams.

Decent, clean hotel. Very friendly staff, who are willing to give suggestions on what to do around town. Free internet is capped at 100mb/day, which is ridiculous though. Breakfast is good, but expensive.

The room is nice, but the WiFi limited to 100Mo and slow, witch is amazing when you know how expensive can be the night ! Beware of the "Room service", Breakfast ordered for 6:20am as they offer you on the order form, but they cancelled it at 6:40am...

Dissapointing and our room was certainly not 4.5 stars as it was advertised! The floor was stained. Dirty, moldy bath/shower and cracked, moldy glass. Gross dust/goo covered vent 8 inches from your face in the shower. Bathroom was like being at your grandmother's. Double bed was literally two single beds stuck together.

Staff lied upon booking about room availability and pricing. Tried to scam for more money and blamed it on an employee "in training." The "in-training" young lady was actually the best person to deal with. (I hope she did not receive any trouble.)

The filth under the room a/c vent was nasty. Checkout seemed like it was a sad task and showed little care. Hopefully he was having a bad day.

You find newer / nicer rooms for that price in small towns.
