Great hotel. Great locations. Lots of food and shopping nearby. The room was nice. The breakfast area was clean and organized. The evening social was nice as well. I enjoyed my stay here and will stay again.

The location of this hotel is within 5 minutes drive to Jordan Creek, restaurants, and I-35. There is an Applebees right across the parking lot, and Wal-Mart across the road. Both are an easy walk. The rooms are large and perfect for kids. We rarely hear anybody in adjoining rooms or in halls, very quiet. The breakfast and evening service are outstanding. We stay here almost exclusively when staying in the Des Moines area. Downtown Des Moines is an easy 15 minute drive taking I-80 and I-235, rarely congested enough to add more than 5 minutes to travel time.

Cleanliness issues in Suite. They throw recycling in garbage. Staff was nice though.

It's seems like a lovely hotel/suite but they treat the customers/guest with respect but there need to be a map in the building cause its easy to get lost

This Homewood Suites was very nice and I look forward to my visits. Great location. Walk to walmart in 2 minutes.

Hotel is nice and location is great. Room had no soap when I got there and it wasn't the cleanest room I've stayed in either. Overall the stay was good though.

Great location. Mall and lots of shopping, eating and theater within walking distance (less than 1/2 mile). Place was clean and friendly.

When we arrived they didn't have a room available for us and they needed to clean the 1 room that was for us, but the maids had already left for the day. The desk clerk looked into putting us up in their sister hotel but they were filled. He finally got help and they went to see how much was left to clean in the room and it was ready for us in a half hour. Otherwise everything else went well and we would consider staying there in the future.

Nice room and good location in West Des Moines for shopping. The hotel is next to a busy road, which was the only main detraction. Breakfast was good and the facility was clean and well kept.

Rooms were very clean and spacious. Included everything needed and more. Ammentities were great. Complementary breakfast was beyond expectations.

Reservation was incorrect due to issue between corporate and hotel. We had to call corporate to get corrected, or so we thought. The room was very small, I would not call it a suite. We booked specifically to have a separate bedroom to help with young kids naps, but did not have a separate bedroom. We asked for adjoining rooms with family, but did not get them. Also disappointed the pool was closed. Entire hotel was very hot and dry. Suprirsed they keep it this way as it creates ideal conditions for the spread of flu and other viruses in an already high risk public place. We will not stay at this hotel again.

Rooms are large and very clean. As a former flight attendant, I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and believe that much more is required for a higher star rating. The check in process was clunky, another person's card was linked to our room. When we got to our room, it was not what we booked. We were given a 12% discount, but only after pointing out is was the wrong room. Not enough towels and not clearly marked as pet friendly during the booking process. We love animals, but my boyfriend has severe pet allergies and suffered itchy eyes all night. Also had bad parking/door directions from front desk at check in.

Wonderful stay with my husband and 3 kids. Very clean and modern. Breakfast was ok, but we got there late and everything was a bit picked over. We've already booked another stay at another Homewood for an upcoming trip.

Excellent service, with very clean and modern suites in an upscale area. Amenities were some of the best I've seen in-room. Delicious full breakfast is definitely worth having. Just about the perfect stopover hotel.

The motel itself is nice, the rooms were fairly spacious, very comfortable bed, nice T.V. But.....and it's a big one, I paid 3 months before I stayed, I made it abundantly clear the room was already paid for and she agreed. I got home and checked my credit card, boom, they charged me again, I called to complain and they offered a refund. I called on Tuesday, they actually put it in on Thursday making me late to pay other charges I had, thankfully chase credit card understood. I WILL NOT be staying here again!

We stayed here on 07/15/17 while in town for a wedding. We had a suite on the 5th floor. My wife and I both thought the room was great! Loved the layout, the ceiling fan, and the many electrical outlets to plug stuff into. The room was very clean, and the bed very comfortable. We slept in Sunday morning, and missed the breakfast, so I can't comment on that. Our only gripes, although minor, are that the elevator was very hot and the tv in the bedroom part did not work. The tv in the living room area worked fine, and it wasn't a big deal to us. We would definitely stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone.

The hotel itself is decent and they have a decent breakfast each morning. However, the staff is trained poorly on how to explain the payment process. They take the initial amount from your credit card when you check in. So even though this amount is a pending transaction on your credit card, they still expect you to pay the original full amount of the room upon checking out. Pay through Expedia, not through the hotel. Their policy is ridiculous and everyone is not trained to explain it properly!

Room was spacious and nice. Shower was hot. Swimming pool was a little cold but breakfast was great.

We're here for 2 nights and we enjoy the free breakfast, lots of food to choose from, the pool, even though the water is cold and the hot tub is broken. Room is awesome!

The hotel and room were clean. However, we were not told at check-in that the pool and hot tub were being maintenanced and would not be available that evening. Two kids in bathing suits that evening, and was then told about it. Were were told we could use the pool at the hotel across the parking lot. We went there and their pool was also being maintenanced. Then were told at Homewood Suites that their pool would be available the next morning. It wasn't. Very disappointing. Also, no meat options in their continental breakfast. Really, no meat with breakfast in Iowa? Hotel staff during check out was very friendly.

Great hotel with beautiful clean rooms that offer a full kitchen with a dishwasher and a full size refrigerator. Plenty of restaurants and stores around. Staff is helpful but could work on their professionalism and friendliness.

I hate being away from home. But Homewood Suites changed that. It was my best experience EVER in any hotel/motel. From the friendly and helpful staff to the beautiful and extremely clean suite. The best nights sleep I've had in a very long time. I won't need a reason other than just to stay at the Homewood Suites to return to West Des Moines!

While I haven't stayed overnight, but as a professional guest, using their conference room, the place is great and the staff have been very accommodating.

Starting from the room to the service I loved, very good breakfast only thing is eggs looked a bit green but they still tasted good !!!!

Go when it's nice out and sit at the barbecue pit. Met some fun people just hanging out at the pit! Room was nice as well but will never forget the 4 couples I met here.

Friendly staff and nice clean rooms, couldn't ask for much more! It was a bit difficult to navigate though, for some reason google thinks its across the stree on the other side to stage coach.

Newer hotel in uber yuppie West Des Moines. Easy access to freeways. Quick drive downtown if needed. Lots of nearby shopping and restaurants. Sports bar across the street. Nice Commons area.

Incredible !!! This is by far the best place I've stayed in a very long time. CLEAN ! SPACIOUS ! HUGE TV's ! COMFY BED ! GREAT SHOWER HEAD ! SHOPPING !!!!
Breakfast included biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, tons of fruit, sausage egg cheese croissants, fresh juice. Plates were hot, food was hot and tasty !!!!
I didn't interact with staff much except for front desk-late night very quick, kind and helpful man.

The location is pretty optimal. Walmart is right across the street, plenty of food choices in the area, and it's not far from the city. The rooms are spacious, and the staff is super friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was great as well.

Great hotel. It has an awesome aesthetic. The rooms are incredibly spacious and will kept. Super comfy bed. A massive bathroom. Could have held a party in the bathroom alone. The breakfast was on point too. Friendly, helpful staff. Would stay again.

The location was very centralized and convenient. The local restaurants were plenty. All of the shopping centers were near by. The bed was comfortable and clean. Only issue was direct TV which went out when the wind was faster than 3 mph.

Hotel was great. Rooms were emaculent! Close to Jordan Creek Mall! Many food options and close to downtown Des Moines. Front Desk guy Michael was informative and super funny! Will stay again!

We ended up not staying here. Before you dismiss this review the reason why we stayed somewhere else was because the night staff did not assist us until just after midnight due to not answering the doorbell and a general inattentive attitude. My wife and I were very disappointed after driving several hours. I was a diamond member for the past two years and have stayed at many locations one of the worst service I encountered. Went next door to the Hampton Inn and had a great experience.

This is the BEST hotel I have stayed at this year. Breakfast is hot, delicious, and ovrtall really good quality food. They serve dinner Monday-Thursday as well! Free beer and wine along with dinner if you drink. Overall, quality of this hotel is 11 out of 10! My stay has been great!
