This isn't your typical hotel. The rooms are set up like an apartment complex. The rooms are large with a living room area, a fireplace and a fairly large kitchen. You could certainly spend a lot of time here.

The pools looked nice and well maintained (our rooms were facing one of them).

The complimentary breakfast was pretty good for free breakfast. Nice assortment. The attendants are friendly and accommodating.

I am staying here for about a month and a half. The hot water heater cut out and they keep giving me the run around on when it will be fixed. I was told that it would be fixed that day. Well I leave and come back around 7 to find out the water heater was still broken. I called only to be told the repair team had left for the day. I would of been okay with this had they given me a courtesy call.

A few weeks later the sewer line goes out in my new room. This time the front desk manager was fast to contacting me and even helped move my bags to the new room. The new room is an upgrade on the more quiet side of the complex.

Well, I haven't had any problems with this Residence Inn until now (have been coming here since 2015 a few times a year for work.
Some grounds keeper pulled a- no beer and music rule on me when I was alone in the pool area. Someone give that guy a hug, he need one.

08/2018 update
Well of course my company assigned me this hotel again. Everything is going alright here, which it usually does besides a few little things. One thing that I miss about this place is the access to propane grills by the pools. I've been coming here for years through my company and we all ised to enjoy each other's company by cooking on the grill after a successful trip. The grills are gone and there is (1) grill available for use now. You have to reserve it and you ONLY have 45 minutes of use. This is the same grill that they serve the evening food on a few days a week. I was going to reserve it... But after carting everything I wanted to cook all the way to the main building... I figured I'll just cook stove top. Bring back the grills folks.

Very clean, different, friendly staff, great complementary breakfast and evening wine /beer serving. Rooms with amenities makes it even lovelier! We'll definitely revisit again.

What a wonderful resort for a family vacation. This residence inn has a lovely pool and access to tennis courts and basketball courts. The breakfast service is excellent! The staff was courteous at all times, and they were also very helpful!

We stayed in a penthouse overlooking the golf course, which made it quiet and had a nice view. It's a convenient location, not far from the beaches and The Collection, for example. Breakfast was extensive and pretty good.

This property is one of the cottage style Residence Inn's. The rooms appear to have been updated sometime in the last several years. The property is in a nice location right next to a golf course and very nice communities. There is very easy access to the freeway, shopping, and restaurants. The staff is very responsive and friendly.

This was a great place to stay it was very clean we had all the amenities we needed we were located right out of the swimming pool and jacuzzi area the main office was within close walking distance. There breakfast every day was wonderful and far better than other places I have stayed. They had waffles fresh fruit eggs oatmeal cereal Bagels toast you name it they had it. Check in and out was very easy. I would recommend this stay

Lovely hotel rooms!!! I seriously couldn't ask for a better stay. Me and my family stayed in two rooms with 6 kids in total so they gave us a near by rooms:) Also we were able to save on money since they have complimentary breakfast yummy food! The pool and hot tub was a plus too.

Very Nice Hotel with a full kitchen. Much more like an extended stay apartment than a hotel room. Next to the golf course and a pretty good breakfast buffet included in the price. Hard to do better in Oxnard.

We had to stay here while our house got repaired. Was crazy having a puppy and newborn in the room but the king suite was lovely and had more than enough space. Right next to the golf course. Wish they had the full room service but the free breakfast was cool! Thanks

Very nice place to stay. The hotel staff were quick polite and helpful. Morning buffet was typical but very well done. Bed and room where very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Very nice hotel. The rooms are in little mini buildings with studios on the 1st floor and 2 bed 2 bath lofts on the 2nd. There's 2 pools (outdoor) with hot tubs. Has to be the largest RI I have ever been to. There's a golf course on the rear of the property. Very quiet. I'll definitely stay here again!

I must say... I was very happy with this property. It's location is fantastic and it's service was really excellent.

I very rarely take first floor rooms, however did in the case of this hotel. As was expected a group of teen's had the room above. Not wanting to be the cranky neighbor I placed the responsibility of contacting and asking them to quit stomping as if they were playing a squash the ant game upstairs. The first offer from the front desk was to move my room which was awesome however everything was already in it's place. So instead I asked them just to give a nice call to the room and go from there.

It quieted down quickly after that call! Bravo to the front desk, who then followed up to check and make sure it was all better.

The breakfast was one of the larger spreads I've seen at a Residence Inn as well, I didn't leave hungry. Finally the property itself was one of the apartment complex style, and while older it was still attractive and the surroundings and location quiet and beautiful.

Excellent service and restful sleep are all one hopes for when working on the road. Residence Inn Oxnard raised the bar with our apartment; everything worked well, bedrooms were roomy and the common area allowed everyone to work together when needed. Kitchen was large enough to cook for 4 with plenty of room to sit and eat.

Best place to stay in Ventura County for extended stay. Great breakfast included with room. Afternoon "mixer" best way to network, learn about the area and enjoy the food and beverages offered.

Beautiful, large, clean comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast service. The food is hot and fresh. The rooms are well put together though the parking leaves much to be desired. Occasionally a long walk from the parking lot to the room, but altogether a comfortable and fun place for families to stay.

Very cozy and homely. Quiet and nice. The breakfast is reasonably good as well. It’s like having a home! Pets allowed also. There are places where you can walk your dog.

Great location. Rooms comfortable. Upstairs people did walk a bit loudly but not enough to the kids. Didn't get to try the pool. Breakfast was very good.

This residence inn has a different layout than traditional ones I've been in, the room layout is different and the rooms are arranged in mini condos rather than floors and I'm the hall. I loved the stay, the breakfast was great. Definitely recommend!

I stayed at this hotel for a company workshop. Location is good with easy access to a close by shopping mall and freeway access. Great views over rolling golf greens and delicious food. The staff is very friendly and accommodating!

Great stay.Rooms are different and unique very clean With kitchenettes. Property is beautiful many opportunities staff is great , we had a marriage conference here and they accommodated us very well.

Stayed there for 2 nights. Chose this location because it was pet friendly (we have 2 dogs). Could have done with a few more channels to chose from on the TV and the breakfast sausage patties were a little like hockey pucks. Enjoyed walking the dogs on the path behind the hotel on the edge of the golf course. Room wad clean, staff were friendly. Overall a good experience.

Location is great. Loved the set up of the room. It was fully equipped with everything necessary. Also loved the dinner and breakfast that was included.

Rooms were nice with lots of space. The snacks at the evening social were good but not enough for dinner.

This all Suites hotel is centrally located near all types of businesses the rooms have full size kitchens bathrooms living room areas and bedroom areas it's also located on a golf course the amenities are full with many Pools and jacuzzis there's a business center or breakfast buffet that's free as well as a small area where you can purchase Necessities if you forget anything. It's in a area of the city that is accessible to the ocean as well as being a Seaside community.

Great location close to a nice beach and across from the golf course. What I loved best was the open spaces and ability to walk along the course. Rooms were cheap and clean.

The Residence Inn by Marriott Oxnard River Ridge is an excellent hotel. The rooms, housekeeping, the entire staff, food, and conference center are all excellent. I've stayed here at least once each uear during the past four years. Looking forward to next year's stay.

Week long stay to attend a conference. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Some rooms in need of some maintenance. Everything needed at the one location is hard to beat.

Original style of residence Inn but very comfortable. Staff are courteous, bk is great especially bk room has a view to a putting green. Crowded in the weekends.

Lots of different buildings. Even at 930pm there was plenty of parking, although a higher percentage of compact parking spots. The room seemed nice, having a full kitchen is a good feature.

Visiting father in law who is staying there frtim out of state first time I been there in a long time but rooms are just a beautiful as i could rem ember.. he is older and we had got him a handicapped room.. it was nicer than most studio apartments I have seen in town.. very very clean, nice king size bed, a place to sit in huge shower, full kitchen minus stove/oven they all have microwave only I believe.. It's his first time staying there and he couldn't had been more pleased... top 2 hotel in Oxnard imo..

This Hotel is top notch it's quiet, clean and a nice place to stay. The breakfast is okay but , it's hot and very convenient when you have to leave in the early morning hours. The staff is professional, friendly too.. All It needs is a restaurant / bar near by or on the same property, because it does feel resort like when you stay there. My family and I call it our second home, when we visit our relatives in Ventura County. Thank you to all there and will definitely recommend your Hotel to family and friends.

It was nice and clean. The place is like an appartment or maybe it was an appartment that was bought by residence inn. It has a golf course basketball court and tennis court. They also have pools and workout area. The price is good but better if it is cheaper. Good complimentary breakfast too

Place around the area are really nice. Right next to a golf course. Rooms are clean. The Dallas Cowboys hold the their summer training camps there.

Clean, spacious rooms. Nice living room space and kitchenette. Well equipped for extended stays for business or families. The hotel grounds are huge - feels more like a condo complex than a hotel. Hot breakfast is quite good for a hotel. Evening happy hour and food (both free!) on weeknights.

The Residence Inn River Ridge is a favorite place for my family to stay. It's not the newest property but it's well kept, quiet, and spacious. And the cost is usually lower than similar places nearby. It's also easily accessible from the freeway and close to major attractions.

Hotel was timely and accommodating for our event. Everything is clean and in good working order. Fun events like social group tennis with a pro trainer. Happy hour with tacos was a lot of fun and made a great meal.

I have been coming here for over the past couple of years for work. I always picked this place because I like the rooms that have a full kitchen and I like the layout of the rooms. If you get a downstairs room you just might get a fireplace. They have free drinks and food Monday Friday I believe at certain times. I often go down to the fire pit and kick back and have a few drinks. There is an excellent view of the golf course behind the main lobby.

Rooms have plenty of closet space perfect for extended trips. Housekeeping daily with beds changed twice a week. The staff is polite and friendly without being nosy. No smoking in rooms. The coffee in lobby is delicious..the courtesy coffee in the room is horrid and no room service. WiFi works okay

The rooms are clean, comfortable, Staff is friendly. I travel to Ventura often to visit family this is my go to spot to stay. This hotel has a great restaurant attached to the hotel awesome food I am telling you it was the best!!

My family and I enjoyed our "extended stay" at this location. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They respected our privacy while providing great service. Breakfast food was very good and the selection was better than I expected. Pool area was set up well and clean.

This is our "go-to" hotel any time we are in the area. We've stayed here 4 or 5 times, every time meets our standards! Clean well appointed "mini apartments" at the same price you'd pay for a fairly cramped room elsewhere. The rooms we've had were all clean, with coffeemaker and fixins included in the kitchenette which has pots,pans,serveware,and plates as well as microwave, tiny stove, and a small full size fridge. Small sitting area as well as a generous bathroom complete a room that feels more like a home than a hotel room. Great place.

Have stayed here a few times and it never disappoints. Great rooms with everything you could need. Except robes for some reason. Very comfortable more like a friend's house then a hotel. Amazing breakfast included looking out on beautiful golf course with wild life. It's about $150.00 but worth it for comfy beds and other amenities.

Residence Inn Oxnard River Ridge, is a great place to stay when in Oxnard. With in the last 3 years, I've stayed here at least once each year. The staff is friendly and the service is excellent. The accommodations are beautiful and excellent. I love the place.

Where do I begin! We are Marriott platinum rewards, meaning we stay at A LOT of Marriott chain hotels. I think this is my favorite to date! It's like a mini apartment. Full kitchen, full size fridge, dishes, pots n pans, stove. The cabinets are nicer than the townplace chain ones. Attention to detail here. A fireplace in the living room! Comfy bed, large bathroom.. And this wasn't an upgrade, this was a standard room:-) I can't wait to go back and see what an upgraded room looks like!

Rooms were great and spacious. The free breakfast was superior to most other hotels. However the lack of a hotel bar was a big oversight.

Excellent hotel. Nice clean rooms. Nice staff. The only thing I can say that I wish to change is the breakfast. But I would like to change it in all of california hotels. The breakfast is poor. No vegetables and a very slim choice. In my country the breakfast even in 3 star hotel is better.

Great location close to Oxnard and Ventura harbors and downtown! Reasonable pricing for a spacious room with a sitting area and full kitchen. Free breakfast is great with scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffle maker, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, pastries, bagels, etc. Get to breakfast early if you want donuts, they do run out. Overall a great stay. We've stayed here twice!

We've stayed at Residence Inn Oxnard River Ridge 3 times and have never been disappointed. I LOVE this place! The rooms are spacious and clean. The beds and pillows are super comfortable. The employees are very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place.

The rooms are bigger than most normal Residence Inn rooms. The setup is pretty nice. The breakfast here is much better than at Camarillo Residence Inn. The dinner was lacking though (which Camarillo has a good one). The first night I stayed was basically cheese and crackers. However it's a good location near The Collection and lots of restaurants. The gym was small but had dumbbells and cardio machines. It's the old chalet style but well lit at night.

Rooms are very nice and clean. The whole staff from front desk to housekeeping were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be returning here :) awesome hotel!!! 5 stars!!!*****
