This is the 3rd or 4th time I have stayed in this hotel, I have always enjoyed the service and facilities very much. Our room this time was good too, though housekeeping might want to periodically look into the switches as some light switches do not work. We also had a missing side of the block out curtain, so the sunlight shone in during our sleep. Otherwise, everything was good and staff were very helpful in helping us look into transport options to the nearby restaurants.

I stayed at Rm 1308. Upon arrival there was a bell boy coming out apparently trying to help us with the luggage. But he dashed back after seeing that I was involved with a short chat with the driver. I checked in requesting two room cards but was given only one for the reason that the hotel was 'very busy'. Room internet stability and safety is a joke. There are at least two electricity plug which aren't working. I checked in with four guests, but there's only two large worn out towels; no face towels at all. Stayed for three nights, but the request of additional bed was only catered for the last night because of lack of bed.

There are some good points. Breakfast was good. Price of the room was very good, so as the location of the hotel. Hotel lobby impressive. Swimming pool is fine. The service in general is actually quite good too. So long as the rooms are upgraded I can see the potential of this hotel becoming great again.

Walking distance from City Square! Rooms were awesome, staffs were friendly and helpful! For my annivery, they even prepared cakes for us on the house! Great stay! Will definitely stay there again!

The room were in good condition. Bath room, not too bad. I say this because the tub seems to have stains. The wall hair dryer , there were expose wire there. Other than that, I had a good stay and good night sleep.

An amazing hotel for stay. Rooms look nice as that was the first I have been there. Good room service. But did not get enough heat in the showers. As i had been there during ramadan season they had setup a really good feasting dinner with a wide variety. Also helped out with a birthday celebration. They did a room deco which was really nice and worth it.

Despite lodging in a smoking room, there was no hint of cigarette smell. There was a power trip at the start of the night that only affected the air conditioning and television which was resolved in about 20 minutes. There was also a leak somewhere in the bathroom that left a peesistent puddle. Otherwise, everything else was fine. Location wise, it was conveniently located near city Square.

This is one of my favourite hotels that I'd spend a night or more whenever I go across the causeway. It's conveniently located very near to many shopping malls and you don't have to travel far to go over these malls.
What I like about this hotel is the friendly staff who attend to you. You'll feel the warm welcome and they wouldn't mind chatting with you whenever they're not attending to guests. The rates offered are just reasonable but the most attractive pull is the range of food offered to you whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner.
The next time you go over, just give yourself a try at this hotel. 😉

The location is great, just a short walk from City Square. Hotel and rooms are quite aged, dated, still acceptable for a one night stay. Equipped with a good gym and clean pool.

The location is very near the checkpoint and the malls. Pretty safe place to be at. The price is relatively cheap compared to the other hotels of similar standard. Room is pretty old and outdated, but it's very big. Would definitely go here again

the room is spacious and the ambiance great. the only downside is the carpet is wet, probably due to leakages to the bathroom, WiFi is unavailable and the room service is out of order. other than that, it was a great experience.

Very poor internet connection considering that its a well known hotel. Staff not able to help to rectify the issue and was told to wait for the next day but he did not follow up. Paid for the additional birthday decor which was too simple for the price. However, the bed were comfortable, the room is spacious and clean. The morning meal could have been improved as topping up were slow and guests not able to enjoy the food. Parking were full and cramped and were told by a security that their boss wants him to close the carpark and did not offer any alternatives. Totally dissappointed as guests should always be the first priority.

The service was great and the food was very good. I enjoyed staying at the hotel. The staff at the hotel were always there to help and the over all customer service was very good.

The location is good but the shower tap really need some looking at at room 1116. Can turn complete round and loose fit. No hand tower provided, only 2 bath towel provided. Wifi is bad, cannot even connect to wifi. The view is nice, the bed is comfortable, I will be back.

Rooms condition are very old. Water heater nit hot enough. Rusty water from tap. Bathtub needs to be replace as it is old and worn out. Everthing in the room is outdated. Time to revamp to stay competitive.

Me and my family had a getaway vacation and decided to stay in your hotel which we have not been to for a very long. Hotel is still nice to stay-inn but the bathroom need to be renovated badly!!! yr breakfast spread is still very good and very satisfied!! staff are very friendly...We had an enjoyable stay!!!

The rooms are pretty spacious and clean with basic amenities provided. We love the view too! However, the in room phone need to be fixed as we're unable to call any hotel staffs.

The place us old but the service & facilities are good. Pool is small but clean. It's 10 min walk to the CIQ so it's near to most shopping centers for a quick weekend trip.

Good for families especially if they drive.
Walking up the hill not recommended for the really elderly, very old hotel, wifi terrible in rooms, air con not cold, they recommend to use wifi at lobby. Personally there are some other choices nearby with better facilities.

Only good thing was the view as I requested a good view. Added walkway for shortcut if u are going up from city square shopping center. Beside public bank there is a staircase going up towards the hotel.

Service was good, heard the live singing was fabulous, rooms are well kept and cosy though toilet and bathtub can be better maintained. There was a slight rusty smell to the towels. Television reception is a little unstable, but otherwise we really enjoyed our stay!

My husband and I checked in to your hotel on the above stated dates. We both enjoyed our stay there. I was lucky that there wasn't much hassles upon checking in and out. I also noticed that the air con wasn't working well as i felt the room was stuffy. However, your maintenance guys came to attend to my needs quite efficiently.
However, I really do hope that you are able to do some renovation on your hotel as some of the fixtures are quite old dated and the shower curtains are stained.
And I will really appreciate that your service counter staffs can explained better on how to go into your WIFI.

Nice and comfortable stay. Seperate jacuzzi and sauna for male & female. Lovely spread of breakfast. Staff are attentive to guest needs. Easy access via Galleria.

It’s always the details that distinguish you between average, good or excellent. Eg.
1.Our room was not given face/hand towels.
2.The bathtub tap obviously need some repairing- hard to stop the water flowing.
3.The sink stopper was stuck, it just needed an adjustment- which we did.

Love your hotel. We came here a few times and each time , it’s the details that needs attention . Look into the details of the rooms, the restaurants. Do not be complacent. That’s how you become excellent.

I like the spacious room but the room is a bit dated. It would be great if it has been updated. If you are on going online in the room then it will be best to get a data SIM for the purpose. The WiFi is not as good. The breakfast option is pretty good. You will have plenty of option even if you are a vegetarian here. No worries.

Strategically located in city centre. Varieties of buffet breakfast spread is great. The pool is loved by the kids.

It was an okay stay - however i felt that some of the staff were quite racist. Very simple breakfast menu and things ran out by 10am. Spacious room but cleanliness needs to be checked. An affordable place compared to doubletree.

I was given a free upgrade to a bigger room which was really delightful. The room was relatively clean with 2 free bottles of water provided for consumption. The hotel is just opposite of the 2 big shopping malls after clearing Malaysia customs but it was a little difficult to find the shortest route to the hotel. Overall a decent stay for the price but could be better.

1. The check in time is after 3pm and we arrived at 5pm. A day before a personnel from the hotel has called to confirmed on our booking and I have mentioned that we will be arriving before 5pm. But as we arrived our rooms are still not available. We traveled with elderly and we have to wait for almost 45 minutes until they upgraded us to Executive floor.
2. The room was clean except for the poor condition of the quilt cover. It has torn and the pillow cover abit smelly. Not sure if it has been changed before we checked in
3. Despite all the staff are friendly and kind

Excellent location as far as proximity to komtar and shopping mall.
Great place to stay if you have to commute to Singapore.
Could do better on maintenance of rooms.

. The toilet flush - it took me some times to figure out how to flush it, and a substantial amount of force had to be applied on the button for 6-8 seconds in order to make it worth.
. The shower hot water - is just lukewarm and not hot enough.
. Internet speed - slow and cut off intermittently.

First and foremost I would like to thank Ms Karolina for her fantastic hospitality. She is very pro-active and have an eye for details.
She did her level best to accommodate to our needs for a change of rooms with minimum hassle. She surprised my daughter with Complimentary Cakes with a Happy Birthday wordings written on the plate. That was a perfect example of "going the extra mile" for all the staffs to follow. I stayed in room 935, the HSKP attendant that did my room, clean it superbly. Thank you so much for the great experience.
We'll definitely be coming back to the hotel again.

Everything was good. I love the food during my stay. There's a lot of choices that we can choose from. The customer service also good. Keep up the good work.

Positives - Located near to city sq mall and boosted with large rooms and great hotel facilities like jacuzzi and sauna. Commendable service and checking in/out was smooth. Local daily newspaper provided to every room.

Average - WiFi relatively stable but unable to take in large streaming (i.e. music videos), TV a bit small, gym has only 1 treadmill but there is a range of other equipments to choose from, pool relatively small and breakfast less than ideal for a hotel (though I would say it's still okay)

Downside - steam room wasn't working, tennis court poorly maintained, condition of bathtub not too good, in-room dining at exhorbitant prices

Considering the price per night, I guess I would henceforth be more inclined to rate a 4.

Overall it has been a good stay especially the staffs. The staffs are pleasant and helpful. However the room probably needs upgrading or repairs. The sink kinda leaks. The bath tub is too worn out to soak in it and some stains though.
The room carpet has stains. Although some stains are difficult or impossible to remove, at least spray some fresher so the room will smell good.
Too bad you no longer issue small hand towels or they were not placed there by room service?
Suggest remove the bath tub, just leave the standing shower unless guest request the room with bath tub.
You do have rooms that have both bath tub and standing shower but the standing shower temperature and water pressure is difficult to control and low respectively.
To sum up, the people are pleasant and helpful but the facilities can be much improved. Tq.

excellent hospitality starting from the concierge until the receptions. Even the breakfast staffs were all excellent. This was my first to book directly with the hotel because usually I used Agoda etc.
Room of improvement could be :
1. more selections of breakfast spread.
2. repeat/loyal customer i.e me :) should be given better price or package.
3. simple slides at the pool.

Room was spacious, well-kept and with a view (princess deluxe room). Counter staff was friendly and helpful. Environment was nice. Located near city square mall and food streets. Recommended if booked early with cheap rates.

Bed very comfortable. Nearly late for checkout if not for my alarm. Air-conditioning not too cold, even with blanket, my leg isn't too hot. Near city square. Relatively hard to find as roads are small and unfamiliar with the roads.

Perfect location for shopping and food. Room (deluxe) was very clean and comfortable with a great view of the causeway. Tried the room service; excellent nasi goreng and Assam pedas oxtail.

Went to kai cuan chinese restaurant. The ambiance was nice. The only problem is that there's not much choice of beverages... but overall, food are great

A higher end Hotel situated very near the JB CIQ, City Square and Komtar. A little dated, requiring renovation. Basic necessity in room, without hand towels, and no bath robes. Internet is very slow.

I love this Hotel...good to stay with Family. The staff is friendly and warm.

Clean and comfy room, can get SG TV channels but the WiFi even with given password was hopelessly disappointing. Maybe your SG strong 4G may work better or else get a local SIM card.

Overall good but do need to have more attention to detail inside the room. First day check in there was hand towel inside the bathroom but no face towel. Second day there was face towel but hand towels were not replaced. Floor trap under the vanity counter was loose and shower head rubber washer was faulty and water was seeping out. What more can I say?

Check in was fairly fast with an efficient lady at the counter. Took the key with my three kids in tow and bags to the 6th floor and the key wouldn't work! Asked housekeeping to open my door but naturally he wouldn't... so security seems in order. Dragged all my kids down and had our key changed. By now I was irritated. Went down to the pool.. it's empty, but for one very nice waiter. When I ordered drinks, I was told quite decidedly that it would take long. Why? Why? I wondered. We were the only ones at the pool! I nevertheless proceeded order the drinks via the phone that was at the poolside. Margarita, Vanilla milk shake and a bottle of water. Needless to say, it took at least 40 minutes and only the margarita came. Cost MYR 37 AND it was ordinary to say the least. So far my experience is not good. So I ask about the other two drinks and the waiter seems to know nothing about it. About 20 minutes later another waiter shows up and is ready to take my order( as if it was not placed before) . I order again but by now I'm done with my margarita and so I have ordered a mojito as well as my kids vanilla milk shake and water. As I type this some 30 minutes later, it still hasn't arrived. So yeah I guess that's why I'm giving this hotel a two star. What's happened to good old fashion service in this country? I remember as a kid it was fantastic at these types of hotels in malaysia. Waiters and waitresses would engage with you and deliver on a world class level. Now the prices are exorbitant and that's ok if the service matches it. I'm writing this review because I want to see change. Not to get anyone fired.

Booked this facility for 2 nights...All Local taxi and Grab cab people know the location so its easy to find. Walkable distance from Major Cafe Hopping Lanes. Everything is around 1 KM including City Square. Rooms were good. Nice clean Furnishing. Good cheerful service staff. Always Helpful and Informative. Seen them taking Initiatives for customer comfort and info sharing.
Includes a Buffet Breakfast with options from all cuisine including soups...pastries....breads....nasi lemak....Beef/Chicken rendang....prata....curries....fruits....juices...etc...etc...If its not included in your deal you can pay RM30-32 something for a Lavish breakfast. Spices will be on lower side to cater everyones Taste.
They have swimming pool for children too. Dry Spa with Jacuzzi. I enjoyed it a lot. They have 3 to 4 restaurants on premises and one of them serves Liquor too but has timings. Sat bar dance is there to enjoy. Gr8 dance group as we enjoyed it and you will love their Synchronisation and smiles.

Still some areas can be improved such as Pool and Bar should be opened 24 hrs for late nighters like us to enjoy or at least till 2 am.

Overall a great comfortable and Secure place to Stay with family or as a couple.

Try t o avoid BackAlleys or shortcut after 10 pm to reach hotel on foot. Use Grab services or Taxi..Be safe.

Near to JB City Square Mall. Both interior and exterior looks kinda old, but everything was functional. An advice when using any tap in the rooms. Let it run for a few minutes to let the muddy water out. Check in was kinda slow, and strictly at 3pm only. Breakfast and in room dining (at own cost) was good. A good place to stay whenever in JB.

Big and old but relatively clean and well kept hotel. Can see it used to be grand. There's a famous dim sum restaurant here. Rather pricey though. The swimming pool is very old.

this hotel is a few minutes walk from the Malaysia JB checkpoint.

Very convenient as it is nearby the shopping center. I stayed here recently during the holidays & we have some issues with the checking in part.
we were told that we are only allowed to check in after 3pm as there are a lot of guest checking out and the housekeeper will need turn down the room before we check in. I totally understand their situation as i work in a hospitality industry before, but there were some impatient guest that day & they create nuisance right at the front desk as they were frustrated with the late check in. maybe the hotel management will do something about this to avoid any unhappy guest. for me i couldnt ask for more cause they upgraded our stay to suite. it was a nice experience for me & i will sure stay at this hotel the next time i visit JB. The puteri pacific Johor keep up the good service & i know you can improve better.

Decent hotel with a good buffet.

For the prices of 200 ringgit for a 4 star hotel. It's okay. But clogged toilets, stained carpets and malfunctioning lights gives us a headscratch. Haters below are right but you cannot deny the amazing price especially if you want to go legoland. If you are a foreigner I'd expect you to stay at the hotel next to legoland or the traders hotel at puteri harbour.

Extremely old and tired hotel. Dirty also. No cloth to dry the feet in the bathroom. Towels are stained. Hair in the bathroom. Carpets r stained. Mattress has squeaky sound...
