This is a great hotel chain, this particular location sustained considerable damage from hurricane Michael and is currently not open. I'm sure they're working quickly to rebuild but prior to the storm it was a great place to stay.

many of our family members when in town and needed extra space would stay here and spoke about the quality of the bedding as well as the breakfast area and friendliness of the staff

Had a great week staying here. The staff were over the top friendly and accommodated my every need. My room was always clean and the bathroom essentials were ready at my disposal. I stayed in room 214 whi h is a few steps from the elevator and did not hear a peep from my neighbors or the things happening outside in the hallway.

Our room was nice and clean, I had no problem with the staff. Housekeeping came by every day to clean, we stayed 7 days. The only complaint I have is we specifically booked the hotel bc we knew it was a rainy week & with 2 young kids I wanted to make sure even if it rained they had a good time. Ofcourse it didn't happen that way, the pool was closed the whole week & at check out they didn't even apologize for the inconvenience of having the pool closed. We only used the pool the day of check-in then the rest of the 6 days it was closed! Breakfast was good, pretty much the same thing everyday but it was decent for the price and location of this hotel. I will recommend this place but make sure the pool works if you stay here.

Staff let us check in early - thank you for that! Everyone I came across was polite and helpful. The rooms are nice. Rooms have a small refrigerator, microwave, and a safe. The televisions are of nice quality and have an area to hook up a gaming system. Decent pool with a sauna. Also handicap accessible. 24 hour gym. I would recommend this place.

Great customer service. Loved the breakfast! Good place togo on vacation on a tide budget. Only 12 miles from the beach. The location of this Hotel is great too, and secure. Many restaurants, and shopping stores in the same street.

The Wingate provided a quite pleasant five star experience. The layout was easy to understand, conveniently navigable, and suitably accessible, and the pool was more clean than any pool I've had the pleasure of visiting. All in all, a great night.

The room was clean and comfortable. The single king bed room is spacious. The front desk staff was very friendly. I honestly have had no issues so far.

Bed was comfy, front desk was friendly and helpful about local family attractions. Breakfast was spare but adequate (family of 6). Location was 20 minutes from the beach.

Our room 407 was right over the bright blue neon sign. Then the lamp in our room blew and caused everything to stop. When they reset it, we couldn't turn the bright hall light off because the tv would turn off. We had to sleep with that light on all night, plus the neon light needless to say we didn't sleep well at all. The breakfast was decent and the Receptionist and front staff were nice. One more thing was the chlorine in the hot tub is too much. Everyone that got in couldn't stay long and even when they got out their eyes and skin burned like crazy. When I was sitting watching my girls, when the hot tub started bubbling I could smell the bleach! We had to leave

I rented this hotel on Priceline as an express deal and I am glad I did!!! I wanted to take my kids on a vacation to pcb but was on a strict budget! This hotel was very nice as well as the employees! The lady that does breakfast is awesome! Overall great experience!!!

Great place to stay! Wife and I enjoyed the spa, sauna and indoor pool (even tho it was cold considering it said it was heated)

Room smelled, from the air conditioner. Breakfast was a big disappointment! When I took the kids down to eat, there was no waffle mix in the machine. Told them to get a bowl of cereal, then was told the hotel was totally out of milk. Most of the food bins were empty! No sausage. No eggs. The lady at the front desk was on her phone! 👎

Great hotel at a great price I’ve been working up here for months and I’ve been here at the hotel from the get go. They had no problem accommodating my dog that is not little by the way. The owner is very nice and the staff will bend over backwards for you,

Loved it except the pool was a little cloudy and to cool for me to go in. The hot tube was great. The room was clean and kept that way everyday. It is not a fancy place but I wouldnt mind staying again. The staff was helpful, but the breakfast could have been a little better. Does have a safe in the room as well as a coach and chairs area. The only problem we had was a noisy toilet! Plenty of parking including 4 handicap places out front.

Overall the hotel is very nice. Rooms were very clean and had a lot of amenities for hooking up various electronic devices. Beds were comfortable. Staff was always friendly. They had an indoor pool. The bathroom was clean and satisfactory but could have used a little work. There was a long crack in the sink and the caulking around the bathtub needed to be redone but otherwise good. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was satisfactory. Good selections and what one would typically see. Obviously not as good as a sit-down restaurant where you can order off the menu but all in all good.

The Wingate is more of a layover hotel than anything. It has everything you'd expect from a this type of property in a basic rugged way. We stayed there for one night while on the road and the experience was nothing to write home about. The room was very basic and a bit dated, so was the bathroom. The indoor pool was freezing and really had a strong chlorine smell to it. The gym was more like a doctor's office waiting room.
The staff were nice, friendly and helpful.
To sum up - if you are on the roads, looking for a quick, clean overnight stay, this property offers exactly that. I wouldn't stay there for much longer than that.

The Wingate welcomed us during Irma and made our stay enjoyable. They accommodated our little chorkie and helped book additional nights when we decided to extend our stay. Thank you for making this a positive experience and keeping us safe during our hurricane adventure ❤

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Wingate. Location was good with plenty of places to eat near it. Room was very clean and plenty spacious. Pool and hot tub area was very clean as well. Only minor complaint was one of the staff servicing the breakfast buffet in the morning was very ride to my wife. Other than that the rest of the staff were very professional and courteous.

Very nice room, great price. My 3 year old locked us all out, including herself, of the bathroom, and they were very quick in responding and getting the door opened. Lol

Would certainly recommend them when traveling through.

Return visit to this fabulous place. Off the highway enough to traffic is quiet. Always friendly staff to greet you. Great rooms set up for both business and leisure.

Wonderful employees and a very clean and clear pool and Jacuzzi also the sauna felt really good I almost fell asleep a nice workout room nice room service.

We stayed for a night. The room was a little small and the floor was wet when we came in which was a little strange. Other than that the staff was accomodating and the breakfast the next day was good. We didn't get to go in the pool but that area looked really nice. I'd give it a 3 1/2 almost 4 stars.

The room was great, large. I was disappointed in the 60.00 non-refundable deposit for my small dog. That information needs to be on website. There is already a 75.00 refundable deposit if there is no damage! Anyway that is my rant.

Clean. Great staff. When we got to Breakfast at 9 the people in front of us had 4 kids and literally ate everything. We were told they were bit putting anymore out. But it looked and smelt great.

I spent one night at the Wingate while in Panama City. The appearance of the inside of the building and the room was nicer than I had expected. I did not use the fitness center, pool, or breakfast, but all of them looked to be of pretty good quality.

The rooms were clean and nicely furnished. There's an indoor pool, but I didn't get to try it. It was a quiet stay

I loved the stay with pet friendly rooms. Rooms are clean and very nice. The breakfast bar was plentiful but not very good. Food could be too cold, bland and lack flavor. Eggs were very dry. My only other grind would be the hot tub. I was desperate to get in for it has been years. I was there for Christmas and I wanted to relax and ease some pain. It's hard to do that when it's cold. I would think the temp of water was mid 70s or low 80s.too cold. I would stay again. Just need to fix the hot tub. I was bummed because I saw the hot tub and went to nearby Walmart to buy a cheapo bathing suit just for it. Boo.

Location is approximately 20 minutes from the pier nice quiet area walking distance to Walmart another chain types shopping. Staff was friendly, room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The hot tub and a sauna were both out of order. Would recommend for families and couples wanting to be close to the beach but not in the thick of the crowds.

Rooms were fine, but tub in shower didn't drain. The toilet wobbled. The hot tub was no where near 104. Temperature was closer to 85. Breakfast was really good with lots of options. Wendy's is practically in the parking lot if needed.

I am surprised at all the negative ratings here. I don't think this hotel deserves one star review since I have seen A LOT worse hotels that deserves one star. I stayed here over the past Labor Day weekend and seeing the price on Groupon and the pictures, I didn't expect too much from this hotel. When I look at hotels, I look at two things: clean bed and bathroom. For me, the bed sheet has to be clean white and the bathroom MUST be cleaned. So I was really surprised when I walked in the hotel because both bed and bathroom was clean! The service was great and the people who worked there were really friendly. There was a lady who walked in after checking out the night before and she has a long drive from Florida to Texas. She fell down at the beach and her clothes got wet so she asked if she could take a quick shower in the room she stayed at. Normally, hotels will not let you do that since you have clocked out. However, without hesitation, they allowed it. The only things that wasn't 100% satisifying was that the hot tub and the sauna was not hot at all. Other than that, I give ie 4/5 stars.

At first, seeing all the reviews written here, I was not convinced that this hotel is bad. My mother worked in a hotel for 15 years and every time I go visit her, they treat their customers really good. I thought that was how hotel staffs are supposed to be and I judged too quickly into thinking every hotels are like how my mother's hotel treatment is.

When I got to this hotel, I was really tired. It was almost 1 am and we drove all the way from Tampa. The lady working in front is nice. She was not rude or anything, and I thought that "Hey, the reviews online was wrong." I hear her saying to the person in front of me that the hotel will charge $50 and will be refunded after we check out. I thought that was reasonable so I did not question it.

When we got to the room, it was neat and really spacious which I thought was perfect since I have two dogs with me. The bathroom was nice and clean. The carpet stinks though. I know that they placed me in a pet friendly room, but aren't they charging us pet fee so that whenever the occupant leaves they can clean the carpet really well? I dont know but the carpet really stinks and sticky. So always wear slippers cause you dont know whats in the carpet. We slept right away and I felt really comfy at first but in the middle of the night I woke up because it was soooo hot!! The AC is set to 70 degrees already but it still so damn hot. But I ignored it because I'm nice and I dont complain in little things like that. Because it happens.

The next day I asked for a set of towels and they told me that they dont have any yet because its in the laundry. I understood that because maybe they had a lot of people ask for one. So I said, I'll come back later. The lady is really nice and helpful though. She's so sweet. I actually feel bad into giving her hotel 2 stars but it is what it is.

When I checked out, they charged me wrong. They charged me two pet fees and a room priced for $139. When I talked to Anita on the phone, the price that I got was $119 and some change because we had Triple A. I was ok being charged $139 because at this point I got tired of them being disorganized and not very true to what they tell you. So I just asked them to charge me one time for pet fee. Anita told me on the phone that the pet fee was $60 for two dogs. I specifically asked her if its for TWO dogs already and she said "yes because they are small anyways." But when I got to check out she said since I have two dogs she's charging me $90. I didnt say anything anymore because I am so tired of their shit. I just wanna get out of that hotel because I feel like im being ripped off if I stay there longer. So in total I wasnt xpecting my total balance by the time I checked out. It was $100 more than What I was expecting. I am a student so everything in this vacation was planned down to the pennies.

SO I AM REALLY DISAPPOINTED WHEN I GOT CHARGED TWICE IN MY BANK ACCOUNT. One is for $539.97 and the other for $455.83. I am really pissed because my credit card's limit is not that high because i wanted it that way and now, the hotel is charging me beyond my credit card limit. I am very upset AND I CRIED because what was supposed to be a good and memorable vacation turned into nightmare. I cant even get gas at this moment because my card is charged too much. And I get paid this Friday, with the exact money I'm supposed to only spend in this vacation. But they overcharged me.. now how am I gonna pay for it? PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL BECAUSE THEY OVERCHARGE YOU AND IF YOU ARE A PERSON WHO IS NOT LIKE ME THAT CHECKS THE RECEIPT, YOU ARE BEING CHARGED TOO MUCH. I wonder why people in this reviews give them 5 stars. Like really? Have you not been in a nice hotel that this is what nice look like to you? I JUST HOPE THAT THEY WILL GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK IN 4 DAYS. Cause if not, I am gonna call their corporate office. I am really pissed and upset. They don't even compensate you in anyway.

Had a really nice stay here..after some of the reviews I was very skeptical and quite pleasantly surprised to find it was an extremely nice hotel.nice staff,and nice variety of free breakfast.will def stay again if in the area.
