Thank you for the front office staff for being so accommodating in my recent stay this week. I was traveling with my elderly grandmother who could not go up stairs. Front office was able to give us a room on the first floor facing the parking area. Check in and Check out ran smoothly with all employees being extremely helpful.

The motel was good. I appreciate the parking lot being laid out with enough space to navigate. Prices were decent for the area. There's a couple things that could be improved. The floors were dirty in the room with a lot of hair. Larger trash cans in the room would be great to control messes better. Stronger exhaust fans in the bathroom would help dissipate moisture better.

Location was great, being right off the freeway.
The check-in was quick and the clerk was personable.
The room sufficed for a late night last minute check-in. The light switch by the door didn't work, so I had to fumble in the dark to the next light switch.
The faucet was about to come off the sink and the toilet seat needs to be changed or resurfaced.
Also, there was a paper towel wad stuck in the peep hole. Not sure what that was about or why that wasn't removed during cleaning.
Overall, Motel 6 met the need for the night.

My wife and I were there last night because we're moving out of San Diego, it was out last night in town, and the movers had already taken our stuff. We've stayed there once before. The rooms are nice and clean, but the reason I don't give it a better rating is the parking lot. Drug use, people living out of their vehicles, and folks drinking to excess out there make you not want to be outside, and worry at least a little bit about your vehicle.

I was in San Diego for Comic Con, the woman who checked me in took the time to explain the bus and trolley lines to me. She was extremely helpful and kind and ultimately saved me time and all the money I would've spent on Uber! I appreciated her hospitality and kindness.

Having stayed here for an extended period of time, allowed my boyfriend and I to be familiar with a lot of the wonderful staff. Aside from excellent customer service, and general exceptional hospitality, the staff are friendly, helpful, considerate and kind. Cindy was welcoming in the morning, and Yosenia (sp?), was great at night. The older housekeeping lady was also our favorite, she was always so patient with us and our dogs. This is a great place to stay, they have a beautiful walking trail in the back, that my dogs loved to chase the squirrels during the day, and rabbits at night. Its within walking distance of a Walmart, and grocery store. And only a short drive to a movie theater and shopping. If you ever need to stay in a motel in the Clairemont area of San Diego, this would be the best place to.

Room was very clean. The beds were great ! Slept like babies. Korean BBQ next to the motel along with many other shops and restaurants. Excellent staff and no issues with the area or parking along with no noise.

Was there only for a night before catching a morning flight. Hotel was clean.. sheets have holes on it and it was a little outdated overall. It was clean and quiet. Good for the price. Left at 4am..so didn't tried the breakfast. Fairly average.

I have stayed at this Motel 6 three times already, and plan to do so in the future. It is close to my disabled sister (whom I will be visiting regularly), which is nice. The price is far less than many other places in the area. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are clean. The people (so far it has been only women) who greet me when I check in are attentive and thoughtful, especially this most recent time. I'm glad I found you!

The staff was wonderful. The location was perfectly close to the funeral ceremony at the Miramar Cemetary I attended for a family member, as well as all the Asian stores and restaurants. The rates were as expected.

Good service, reliable, excellent, and friendly customer service. The room was clean. I would definitely stay at a Motel 6 again.

I was staying in the one near by cleairmont, it was better than I expected, big parking slot, nice beds, big rooms, polite workers and in a good price. I will stay in any of your chain motels without hesitate.

It's a bit off the beaten path, which for some may actually be a good thing. It's surprisingly quite for being right next to the 805 fwy. And while there isn't much to do within walking distance it is however right next to a Korean BBQ restaurant that is ALWAYS packed with people.

Toilet base was cracked, molding around bathroom floor was peeling off exposing rotted wall underneath, door to outside did not close well so room was extremely noisy, shower head/stream was not adjustable and stream was so sharp we had to ricochet the water off our hands to wash or it was painful, pillows were flat and hard, some other guest called our room looking for a USB charger and even asked if he had the correct room number - this being after I saw a man two doors down sitting on the concrete in front of a room wrapped in the hotel bedspread smoking a cigarette. It was good to have a place to lay our heads for one night close to the wedding we were attending but just an overall poor experience and we would not stay here again. Staff was very nice, though!

I was very upset at the Hotel Circle Motel 6 for directing me to the Clairemont Mesa Motel 6. I had asked for the best location to get to the San Diego Old town trolley station, and I was told that Clairemont Mesa Hotel 6 was the best location. Jessie, the girl at the counter at Clairemont, said that I needed to ride a bus to the trolley station, and that the fee for the night was higher than the $67 that I was originally told by Hotel Circle Motel 6. As it was 1AM and I had just traveled from LAX via a van service, I was pretty damned upset. The non-smoking room we booked stunk of cigarette smoke and interestingly a young man was smoking right outside of our room. I must say that Jessie handled my situation very well and assigned us another room. She was very polite to me despite my ranting and raving, and I would recommend that she receive a raise.

There were no frills but as far as a place to stay it met every requirement. The style was a little dated but everything seemed clean.

Wonderful staff, very nice accommodations and centrally located as no other hotel can be. Your literally 5-12mins from anything worth doing in San Diego; just watch out heading northbound on weekdays 6-930, they can be crowded at times. As long as your not some broke dope head trying to get high in the parking lot

The location was fine, though the sign is very hard to see from the main road. I had a bit of trouble finding it.

the water pressure was so low, i was unable to take a decent shower either day, even though i complained about it on the first day.

We were well taking care of. Service was fast and smooth and made the stay even better. Was helped by a women named Ysenia and she was very accommodating!

No hot water . Need to check hot water flow to 101. I enjoyed my stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will be back!

the room was not as clean as other motel 6 I have stayed at.
Cleanliness to me is one of the most important aspects of a motel.
There were stains in the curtains and the blanket.
Please make sure everything is clean.

The bed was hard as a rock. Other than this, it was a great overnight stay at a budget friendly price. Most importantly, the area felt safe, and I would stay there again. I'd just make sure to bring a few extra blankets to soften the bed ;)

It was good for the most part. Room is clean. Only complaint I had was the toilet. Didn’t seem like it was cleaned properly or maybe it just was a stain. Buy overall, I recommend this hotel if you’re looking for something affordable.

I put my granddaughter and her family up there and the place was clean and reasonable and the amenities were excellent. I would recommend this Motel to anyone who wants to save money and have a nice place to sleep.

Well it's right off the 805 the rooms are completely nice now compared to the way they were back in 2000 and the service is pretty much a okay you have a good handyman name Oscar and the sheets are always clean not too much traffic I must say it was a good day

Location was difficult as it sits directly behind a restaurant. You must turn as if going to the restaurant and then drive behind the restaurant to get to the front of the hotel. There are no other roads leading to this hotel. Beyond that, it is a basic room. It has a bathroom, bedroom, and a little nook to sit at. There is no dresser, so you will be using your luggage as a dresser. Nor is there a mini fridge or microwave. Though there are several local dining options. Parking is free but wifi is not. Parking is plenty. The walls and door are dense and do a good job of keeping out noise. In conclusion, if you need a simple place to stay, this is a decent choice. If you are looking for a get away hotel or if you will be staying an extended time, you may be better looking elsewhere for features to suit your needs.

I stayed 1 day/night at this motel, the front office staff was friendly and accommodated our needs. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and everythig we needed was in place.
The only item that would have been nice to have access to would have been a small refrigerator in order to keep our bottled water cold.
Otherwise it was a great experience.

A bit pricey for a budget motel. However the girl at the front desk made checking in painless and easy. Picked up a motel on whim after driving 9hrs. Entire room seemed clean. Bed was okay. Definitely a one night only type of place at $140 I'm sure if I spent more time looking online I could of found a better spot. I gave it three stars because most of my complaints are expected of a budget motel.

First of all, their location is convenient for both UTC (UCSD), Downtown, Sea-world bounds. The motel is next to I-805. The counter staff, especially Eva, was very friendly! The room seemed recently remodeled so I did not have any complains about amenities. Plenty of free parking spaces as well. I used to live in SD so I can tell the area is quite safe as well. Good for solo or moving travel.

I really liked the layout of the room. The dining table was great and doubles as a desk. It has a very modern/1970's retro vibe. A fridge would be ideal. The front desk service could have been a little friendlier, but overall it satisfied my needs. I don't think the sink had hot water.

I stayed at the Motel 6 in San Diego at Hotel Circle. The rooms were clean. We enjoyed our stay and the manager was very friendly. I would return again.

Even tough most workers are friendly a white woman at the front desk didnt like I notify her the sink was clogged at the point i couldn't used it. I have been very patient even though within less than 48 hours I was moved to three different bedrooms. I appreciate the maid service but not the attitude of this woman that I certainly informed her with courtesy about the problem in the third bedroom was assigned to me. I can understand the building is not brand new and it seems they have problems with plumbing -the first bedroom is leaking no one knows where, the second bedroom the toilet is getting clog- but courtesy is the key for people that is at the front desk of any service, more over if the customer has been courteous.

Motel 6 is definitely underrated. Most of the reviews online don't do it justice. My stay was comfrtoable & cozy. It was modern and clean. Extremely close to the city, & employees at the front desk were so helpful! We're on planning on booking again soon!

I'm not a motel snob at all. I know there are some things about this place that will make others give it less stars than I. And, I did not encounter on unfriendly face in their staff. They took care of me when they didn't have to (helping to watch my bag until my room was ready is one example. The room was clean and I really liked the setup. It's a cheap price, and the people are phenominal. The rooms are comfortable. No microwave or fridge.

I stay in Motel 6 because I am in the motel for very short time each day and just want to get in clean up and sleep. I fly from Texas to San Diego to teach a biology class for 3 days. I am in class all day and then eat and crash. I like low prices and clean rooms.

Everything was perfectly acceptable with my room and the staff was very friendly. My only concerns were that the bed slid around and off its frame far too easily and one wall needed some patch work. I would have given 5 stars for the price and quality but this location does not recycle (or at least doesn't appear to) and in southern California I find this unacceptable and a little ridiculous considering how close this location is to a major city recycling center.

I needed a break from the every day strife of everyday life. So I got a room. Nice and peaceful . The staff was so kind and helpful. The room so inviting and had a quiet night INN. THANKS for a peaceful nights sleep.

Nice enough rooms. No amenities. Bring your own towels, shampoo, conditioner, and blow drier. The rooms were nicer than other motel 6 I have stayed at, however the staff was not half as welcoming. I was not pleased at all with my experience with the staff. The woman who booked my room was very rude. And the man who checked me in could not get me a smoking room, and when he asked if I'd like too or bottom floor I said ground floor and be replied oh sorry there's no ground floor so upstairs it is. The room again was nice enough. But the staff needs to learn some serious customer service skills

The location is great. I was unhappy that you cannot purchase internet usage when you book. Also the front desk does not ask if you would like it. You have to go back down to the front desk and pay and then get a 6 digit code to enter every day of your stay. Also this only runs one device.

Easy to check in, very convenient location and was very understanding of my situation, and the staff was excellent . I was able to order room service and my dog was able to stay free!!!

Security saved my grandmother from getting hit by a truck last night. I never been more impressed and grateful.

Very pricey, $299 per night for 2 people. Small double bed, mattress pad kept coming off, cigarette hole in comforter. No additional pillows, no hair dryer, no shampoo, toilet didn't flush completely. Coffee available at office with the smallest Styrofoam cups. Only good thing was decent AC and hot shower.

Great value and location. room was very clean and bed comfortable. close to perfect experience at this motel. highly recommend this place and will definitely stay here again on my next trip.

The room is very modernized, bright colors and a huge flat screen TV.
The room do not come with shampoo and conditioner. There was no hair blow dryer or coffee maker either. The room was very clean and is a huge plus that this motel 6 accepts pets.

I found this place online after checking into a true Roach motel. I really like the new contemporary style rooms that this motel has. Although there isn't anything really special about the rooms they were clean and very close to a lot of nice restaurants that I could easily walk to. Easy access from the freeway. Perfect for a business trip.

I stayed here because of location and pet friendly. However, there are def. drug people (tweakers) hanging out at night around the parking lot, on steps, sleeping in bushes on a path to walk dogs on. Very concerned about these people. I moved my car into a spotlight near the front desk check in. There was a very thin tweaker (drug addict) hanging out in parking lot at night with a white shirt over his whole face. There was a man with a SECURITY shirt but he did nothing about these people. I'm sure most of them were not guests of the Motel. The rooms are nice and renovated...clean....new flat screen...they've tried...but, come on! Get rid of these druggies.!

Everyone is very professional, respectful and friendly to their guest. The rooms are clean and all the basic needs provided. WiFi access, Screen TV, Prices are reasonable too. Location great: close to shopping,and freeways. The beach is pretty close too. And don't forget: free coffee @7am.
