It is true that the hotel is in a great location with a very adequate buffet breakfast with lovely decorated rooms. The linen is of a high standard as is the toiletries but the gem of this hotel is the staff. Every staff member was happy and helpful. We had a wonderful experience when our TV did not work, not only were we upgraded to much bigger room but we were helped to move. Every request we made to staff was carried out in a cheerful quick response. We had the opportunity to interact with a most pleasant employee - Sam was not only courteous to us but a lot of fun to banter with. We recommend this hotel on the basis of its staff, just so professional and abiding. Do yourself a favour, book and have a few laughs with Sam, you won't regret it!

Nice place, situated at city centre. All types of food joints / cuisines in nearby area. Walkable distance from Darling Harbour and Sidney eye.

Location is value for money. The attitude of one staff at the restaurant spoiled our stay here. Rest of the staff was good or acceptable. Location very near to Central Station. You can move to any part of the Sydney from there. It is very reasonably priced. On Sunday you can travel in any public transport Train, bus or ferry only for the Aud 2.6. The cheapest option.

The workers are very nice. Located at a convenient location. Close to central station, market city, china town and capitol theatre. Nice bar down stairs and lots of nice restaurants nearby. Highly recommended.

An average hotel with a great location. The free WiFi here is hideously slow so that's a big downer. There might be noise from the A/Cs of neighboring rooms. Rooms are good but could be a bit better.

This is a great hotel that’s located close to Central station. Good service and easy check in/out process. The rooms are really clean and modern. Room Service menu has lots of variety and the food is fresh and delicious. Only negative would be that I’ve had issues with the TV remote not working properly on the two occasions I’ve stayed here.

Rooms were decent. Reception staff lacked polish. Playing on their phones at the front desk is a big no no for me. Housekeeping were fantastic

Price quality equation might be there but unacceptable to find a huge cockroach on our bathroom in the first night! Also, we had book a room for 2 adults + 2 kids but they wanted to give us a double room with one added bed which was impossible to fit. We had to discuss for over 39nins to get them to recognize that we had a room for 4. A bit of a painful process at check in when we were exhausted from an 8 hrs flight

Clean hotel. Located near big street, so a little noisy at night. Morning buffet breakfast is not great. Little overpriced I think.

The hotel is located walking distance to China Town and a few markets! It's a great location. The rooms are kept very clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodated all of our requests. We enjoyed our time at this hotel. The only thing I would say was negative were the mattresses. They sunk in as soon as you lay on them.

Great location. Not always easy to find your way there if you are driving. Rooms are clear but needs a bit of a revamp. Outside windows really need to be cleaned.

Excellent rooms, friendly staff. Only issue was the step at the front of the hotel as you walk in, safety hazard if you aren't paying attention. A ramp there would be much safer.

Great location, staff can be lovely, especially those in the restaurant, food varies in quality depending on staff. Drinks are well priced and the bar is quiet at night, great for drinks after work, some of the staff love to chat when it isn't busy.
It can get busy with large tour groups in the morning for breakfast, hot tip, ask the front desk what time the group is dining.
If you want somewhere chill and relaxing keep looking.
Of you are there for a concert or event this is the right place.
Don't pay more than $250 for a standard room, it isn't worth more than that.
Elevators break quiet often and getting to your room can be frustrating when that happens.

Excellent location, good price, friendly staff, nice rooms. Good value for money however I would say they're closer to a 3-star hotel than 4 stars. Reason being there is no gym/pool, very few supplied toiletries (we forgot our toothpaste and had to buy our own - most hotels we've been to have small tubes available). Oh and the water pressure is terrible!!

Rooms are spacious and the bed very comfortable could do with a larger restaurant and larger selection but food was nice all the same

Good enough to be good value. Rooms are fairly quiet, although it is next to a busy intersection. Close to transport, CBD and Darling Harbor. Had the room ready and allowed us to check in early.

Brilliant location. Hotel average as far as cleanliness and comfort and amenities. Staff good.

Good stay. The bed was terrible! I mean it would have been better to sleep on the floor. No padding, big hard lump between two joint bed. Could not sleep :( complimentary internet was so slow that I had to use my mobile data for the whole week. For price I paid I would not stay here again.

Great pricing for a good room, clean and tidy with fast and complimentary WiFi. Carpets looking a little tired in spots but fittings in good condition. soundproofing could be improved as could here kids in next room. Location great if your arriving by train in to Sydney.

Nice and clean. But for a 4*Hotel they could have good and fast WiFi. We were three and stayed in one room with WiFi just for one person and what they don't tell you is that you have it just for 12 hours and you need to log off and on again (during the night) otherwise you spend the whole amount.

I couldn't get a room here so it seems popular. Location is right in the thick of it near Central Station and China town. I met there with a colleague at the bar and it seemed very nice and good value for money.

I was at the Rendezvous Hotel for a work function. The room was not ideal as it was very long and thin. If you arrived late and ended up at the back it would have been hard to see and hear. I thought the vegetarian food was nice but the chicken roll had too much dressing. It also would have been nicer to have some warm food as the day was very cold. Even if just the filling of the roll was heated. Overall it was an ok venue but in a good location as it was close to the train station.

Meeting room was neat and well presented, staff were polite. Coffee machine is decent.

The rooms are nothing special. The bed is mediocre and the lip into the bathroom can cause some foot pain. But it's nice for the price, the location is amazing, and the breakfast buffet was nice as well. The "free" limited WiFi is also not the greatest. Staff was courteous and helpful.

Good hotel but poor service. We arriveed early and was told room would be ready by 2pm and would get a call. Buy 3:30pm room was still not ready and was then given an awful room with no window. Up grade? More like a downgrade. Wont be staying here again

While the bed and more specifically the pillows gave us sore necks and backs after the second night, the hotel was a nice stay.

Conveniently located a hop, step and jump from Central Station you didn't get any more street noise than you would in any other CBD hotel.

The staff were quirky and I even saw them get out Google Translate so they could help out a client who spoke French.

Breakfast was good (big buffet with plenty of food) and open early enough that my partner could eat before his conference on the Saturday.

Rooms were simple but clean. The only pet hate was the lack of a fan in a bathroom - but that seems to be common these days.

Overall, we would definitely stay here again.

Brilliant Hotel. Perfect location, not too far to walk to the Markets and take-away food is right at the door. Not to mention the restaurants food is scrumptious. Staff were helpful and excellent.

It's value for money and great staff. I accidently booked an extra night and officially the time to change the booking had run out. But they were very understanding and allowed me to change my booking even at the last moment, because I had e-mailed them in advance. When I arrived, they checked me in 4 hours earlier and on day of checkout I was unwell, so they gave me 1.5 hours after the official check-out time.

That's just the staff. The hotel was in a superb location and the rooms were well-furnished. Value for money as I stayed at another hotel for the weekend (so weekend rate was higher anyway) and they were well behind this hotel. Double thumbs up to Rendezvous. Yup, and free luggage storage (unlike the others who took even a 50$ deposit!!)
