We got Deluxe for good for 2 with water kettle. Very nice hotel near to train station. Spacious room. Nice staffs. Our rooms with free drinks but you have to get it downstairs. Drink all you want of water, beer, juices... Free coffee in the room.

Nice area next to the train station “Wittenbergplatz”. Room was comfortable to stay. No A/C in the room but that was fine. I stayed one week there and no one change the bed sheets but I didn’t ask for it. Breakfast was so tasty but not included and it cost 15€ per person and it’s worth it. They have a beautiful Terrace with a nice plants and colorful flowers outside. I recommend this place for families and couples.

The location is amazing. A few minutes and you're right at the ubahn station not to mention plenty of great places to eat at. As far as quality the beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. House cleaning is discreet and that's a major plus. The only reason I left one star off is because of the length of the hallway. Having more points of escape in the event of a crisis is always something relaxing. The hallways are extremely long and if you're not a fast Walker it takes a while to get to your room. Other than that this was a very comfortable experience.

The room was very basic but was affordable, clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff. Very good and varied breakfast buffet, although slightly pricy. Very good location with supermarket and other close amenities. Overall good experience and would return. Would recommend.

Good location and clean. The rooms are small though and they use an ancient key system. That sucks when your travelling with another person. Update to a card system

The hotels location was very good in a quiet street and close to a U Bahn station. Breakfast looked great but I preferred to eat elsewhere as it was a bit expensive and I was room only.
Bed was comfortable and kept very clean. Shower was great but bathroom was quite tired. No safe for valuables so I had to rent a strong box in reception.
There was no fridge in the room which could have been useful because I had medication the should have been kept cool. Also no tea or coffee facilities. Old style key. Basic hotel but in a good location.

A decent hotel more noticeable for the things it lacks than the things it has, which is a shame because there's great customer service and the potential for a great hotel experience too.

Notable issues included:
-no air conditioning in the whole hotel. We were there in May but during a 30+ degree heatwave. Limited fans available at reception, which ended up largely ineffective combating the heat anyway. All this combined with the fact that a thick winter duvet was provided (we removed the innards and slept in just the duvet cover!)
-no safe in the room.
-no fridge or minibar in the room.
-bottles of water are charged at €5 for what you can get for €2-3 anywhere else.
-toilet bowl is the weirdest I've ever experienced, and not in the bidet sense!
-bathroom is nice and well featured, but has no window or extractor fan. Again, in 30+ heat this was a real challenge and we ended up showering with the door open.

Plus points:
-thorough daily room clean with no fuss about it (e.g. we didn't always put towels on the floor but they are always changed anyway).
-24hr reception with good service and language skills.
-great sized rooms with large wardrobes and desk.
-great central city location with useful services very close by (e.g. good value Edeka supermarket open until midnight most days a minute away, and the U-bahn station another minute away).

Overall, an unusual experience where a potential 4-star hotel was severely let down by managing something as straightforward as air conditioning and basic amenities when everything else on offer is so good!

Beware of the 5 euro bottle of water in the room scam. Read the small print. Otherwise fairly priced, nice breakfast, pleasant staff. Location near Wittenberg Platz is great for transport everywhere.

Good customer service and cute, clean room but WiFi in room on my phone did not work the entire time. Room could have a better scent, bed were a bit stiff, but overall experience was good.

My boyfriend and I were very happy with our stay at this hotel! We booked five nights here in advance, and when we wanted to book an extra night, that was done with no problem. The location is great, close to many restaurants, cafes etc. and right by an U-bahn station.

Good value for the price. We paid about the same amount as we would have for a hostel for a room in the older part of the hotel. Breakfast buffet looked good, but it was quite expensive (15 euros/person).

We stayed for two weeks. A very nice hotel, very cleared and big rooms,excellent place, very close to local transportation, many restaurants , perfect breakfast, nice personal. I defenately will stay again in my next visit to Berlin.

The breakfast was good but the bathroom in our room was a bit leaky the day we went. The hotel is Central and it makes it quite easy to visit places around Berlin. I would patronize them if I visit Berlin next time.

Amazing place to stay in! The room was in great condition and looked great (like in pictures), and we had a big, beautiful, and comfortable bathroom. Reception working 24/7 which is great!
The only disadvantage in the room was the lack of a kettle, but outside the hotel you will find a perfect bakery named "Schnell" that also sales coffee and tea (in my opinion, it's a good and cheap alternative to the hotel breakfast which we didn't try).
You can also find a local pub, a supermarket that works until 00:00 and a metro station with three lines in less than 1 minute of walking.

Great place, good price. Stayed 4 days over the new year. Nice clean room spacious bathroom and really peaceful. Breakfast was great even had Sekt. Lots to choose from and helpful staff. Would recommend to friends and would definitely stay again. Only down point was 18€ a day to park bit expensive considering you also pay for the room.

The hotel is located in a good place with access to public transportation system and big markets. But the rooms are somehow old, the quality of the shower was not good enough. The decoration was also not very artistic nor new. The breakfast was really good with different types of things to start the day. It also has a good and big conference hall.

I stayed in here for a week. The room needed to be refreshed and the internet was patchy. The breakfast buffet had a good selection and the staff were friendly and helpful. Close to the Berlin Zoo and there is a market a minutes walk away.

An excellent hotel very close to a U-Bahn station, so handy to go everywhere. Very friendly personnel. Nice room, good beds.

Staff, service and quality outstanding. The friendliness and helpfulness is astonishing, especially for Berlin. Phantastic love for details. Post was delivered to my room and I was notified, birthday wishes surprised me and the safe service at the reception is top notch. Breakfast included a wide variety of dishes and is very tasty. The rooms are slightly old school but since the service beats everything I love staying here. Location great, too. Lots to explore in close vicinity.

Lovely hotel and the location is perfect for tourists who like shopping. Berlin zoo is just 10 minutes walk from the hotel and there lots of buses and train station just 2minutes from the hotel. The service was brilliant and the room was clean and neat. I would definitely stay here again when next I visit Berlin...

I have stayed in this hotel over several years.There has never been issues or difficulties with the staff or the rooms.
It is centrally located and convenient as location.there is no heavy traffic or neighbourhood sounds.There is a coffee house that serves alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages.but no food but very light snacks in the morning there is a buffet breakfast.
the hotel is clean and the rooms are not run down like in some 3star hotels.
the staff is helpful,some of older staff are more reliable than the younger ones.less bossy.it is a very pleasant place to stay

The staff was nice and helpful and the hotel is located perfectly. The room was clean and was cleaned every day. For this to have been a perfect stay, I would have liked to have vegan options in the breakfast buffet as well as in the coffee machine. It would be nice if you would be able to serve food for vegans as well as for meat eaters. Berlin has many vegan restaurants and supermarkets, so I think that it would be great to also see those options in SORAT Hotel Ambassador :)

The Sorat Ambassador hotel is very conveniently located near the Tiergarten/Zoo and it's very easy to get to other places of interest in Berlin.
The neighborhood is surprisingly quiet for being so centrally located.
The staff of the hotel was friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were very clean and plenty spacious for us. We had a wonderful stay and would go back to the same hotel if going to Berlin in the future.

Visited 3 years ago. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Excellent hotel for the money and would recommend. Very near the U bahn station and walking distance to the zoo.

Staff are pleasent and helpful. The floor carpets are look worn and jaded.. The lack of aircon in a warm end of July meant we had to have window open at all times with street deliveries starting as early as 5.30am --- so little sleep after that. Happy hour with 20% off means it's still at least 25% cheaper to drink across the street. Breakfast @13e is substantial and plenty of choice.

Very pleased with my stay. The hotel is located near to everything I needed. Staff very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.

Quite comfortable and clean hotel. Great location near the subway station and bus stops. However, room was quite hot in the night time (no A/C), breakfast is quite expensive (13€) and visitors need to redeem a 24hrs coupon from reception to use the wi-fi connection which had some connectivity problems. Also the water pressure in the shower was too weak. Staff was friendly and helpful.

An excellent hotel to use as a base for our stay in Berlin. Friendly helpful staff. We did not eat there but found the bar and drinks very good. Rooms were clean and comfortable. An alarm in the room was useful. Two minor points though. No tea and coffee facilities in the room, and if you used more than one bottle of complimentary water it appeared that you were charged 5 euros. Also, wifi was a bit on and off but maybe because we were on the 7th floor.

Basic but good value for money stay in an excellent location. Clean rooms, friendly, prompt service. Smell of breakfast room was off-putting so never tried it hence I can't judge on the quality or otherwise.
One huge turn-off was the fact they charge you a fee for storing your bags, e.g. after check-out. It's hard to believe the income earned is worth the cost in reputation. It's for that reason that I won't be back.

Nice and clean, but the walls are really thin and the rooms need an upgrade. The beds however had new matresses, and very comfortable.

Nice stay, hotel in great location to main shopping area and short hop into city centre on the u bahn. Room and breakfast were fine, my only negative experience was the poor Wifi which needs an overhaul as not acceptable to have woeful Wifi in 2017. Apart from this, I would recommend the hotel, friendly staff, great location, supermarket and coffee shop opposite the hotel which is handy. For those first time visitors to Germany be warned NOTHING opens on Sundays which is incredible in this day and age.

a pleasant stay( 11 nights) in a well located hotel. Close to a few shops and plenty of choice in restaurants, very near to the U bahn station only a few stops from most places in the city centre.
Hotel was fairly clean and staff fairly pleasant. Our room contained tea/coffee facilities which was a pleasant surprise. on the down side the whole hotel was far too hot (February!) we had to leave our window open 24/7 and were thus rewarded with early morning bin and delivery noise. The fridge for our use on the landing was padlocked making access impossible!
The sound-proofing is non-existent and we could hear the folk upstairs whenever they used the bathroom! same for the neighbouring rooms.
However it was inexpensive and we slept quite well on comfortable beds, clean sheets would have been nice more than once during our stay.
We would use the hotel again but certainly not in the summer when the lack of any air/ventilation in the room would make it unpleasant.

It was really good to stay. The room has sufficient stuff except refrigerator and tooth-related amenity. But, there is one supermarket near hotel. So, it is convenient to get the thing. It is also located near the subway and bus station, so very easy to go to all tourist attractions.

Great hotel for the price, no breakfast included but there is plenty of places to eat around it.

I cannot praise the staff at the Sorat Hotel highly enough. The thoughtfulness to place a lovely food gift basket and card in my room on the day of my Birthday even though I had not made it known to them was so surprising and unexpected. I also need to mention a big thank you to Kevin for his kind assistance when my airline cancelled my flight home.
The hotel is in an excellent central location, within walking distance to everything you would need while in Berlin, including the train and bus lines. While the hotel is a little dated in it's appearance, it is sort of charming and is kept pristine by the diligent cleaning staff. Based on my experience, I would definitely like to stay at the Sorat again. Thank you for making my time in Berlin so magical.

I spent a winter week in the Sorat Ambassador in Berlin. I loved the location; close to meetings at DIN, close to public transportation both too and from the airport, for touring the city on the 100 or 200 bus, and Wittenberg Platz U-Bahn station, and close to Ka-De-We for it's entertaining food floor - also good for gifts - and seeing stuff the top 1% buy. The hotel staff were gracious and recognized me after the first day. The breakfast was well worth the cost - beautifully displayed each day, lots of choice, and all very fresh including the small croissants being warm first thing in the morning and an espresso/cappucino machine so I could get my fix of espresso before the day began. My room was kept spotless, I could open the windows for fresh (cold) air and regulate the radiator. I found the late 60's, modern vibe charming.

We had a lovely room on the 3rd floor facing the street. Large bed and a fine bathroom. We stayed for 4 nights and because we had booked through the hotel's website we got a voucher for a beer at the bar. Friendly reception although we arrived late. The hotel is centrally located for bus and Ubahn, 2 min. from Wittenberg Platz in a relatively quiet street. Large and rich breakfast but we would have liked freshly baked bread. We would like to stay here again next time in Berlin.

I stayed at the SORAT Ambassador Berlin for 6 nights last week. The room was large, clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty with many options. The location was perfect, close to where my meetings were being held, also close to restaurants and major shopping.

Nice place with old-fashioned style but in good maintenance.
Breakfast is good too.
And first of all, in convenient place to reach underground and buses.
I recommend!

Good location for visiting Berlin. Next to u-bahn station, easy to reach from Schönefeld airport. Clean and quiet. The personnel has been very kind. Recommended.

Hotel was really nice and staff very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were nice and clean and everything in good condition.

Hotel really close to Wittenbergplatz train station which will take you all over Berlin. Also very close to good food, a supermarket, and a small park that has local markets on a couple days of the week.

Only downside was that there's no air conditioning in the rooms. On day 3 we had to ask for a fan because even with the window open all night and no duvet on, we were roasting. Staff were happy to help when we brought it up, just wish we'd brought it up sooner.

Would absolutely come back here. Excellent for the price, really enjoyed our stay.

Free Wi-Fi, buffet is €13. The rooms are fairly small, but nice. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They have many services, but other than Wi-Fi, you have to pay for all of them.

Perfect location!!! 2 minutes to Wittenberg Platz where U-bahn (underground) goes every direction. Quietly and calmly and so close to the centre. Lots of shops nearby (bakery, pub, KaDeWe). Room cleaned every day. Towels changed every day. Nice service staff. However the price of breakfast is too high compared to room (26 EUR for breakfast/2 pers/ it's additionally 1/3 of room price!). We paid 8 EUR for nice breakfast on the other side of hotel. Small disappointment at the end - 1,5 Euro charged for each luggage storage - it doesn't look nice:(
All in all, I would choose this hotel next time.

Not nearly as nice as the pictures online made it look. The guest experience was however very good, the staff were very helpful.

The standard is good, the staff very service minded and the location is great. The reason I put "ok" in stead of "liked it" is because of the restricted internet access and lack of air condition.

only problem - no minibar in the room and they charge extra for every thing (for exemple 1.5 Euro for each luggage storage - why charge extra for each luggage? I think it should be complimentary for guest leaving after a few days in the hotel

Very good wecome, comfortable rooms, very quiet. Good rate quality/price
