Slept amazing, had a lovely calming breakfast and dinner. Everything about this hotel (Staff + Views + Food) is perfect for the correct get away. Since arriving, Estelle has made it her top priority that customers receive the up most care. I know I will definitely be coming back!!

Fantastic friendy, helpful staff. Incredible views despite the pretty terrible storm, loved watching the clouds roll as the poor seagulls showed off some acrobatics. Great easy to reach beautiful nook of Scotland - next time taking better waterproofs and definitely trying at least part of the cobbler. Great escape!

This was just a cheap night away for us. It was absolutely amazing! Staff were fantastic, food was great and had a live singer for entertainment! Only down fall was the fry up in the morning, there wasn't enough of it.. But can't grumble as it was free! But all in all, absolutely fantastic night away! Highly recommended

I came here with my two friends, the staff were so welcoming right from the start.

We enjoyed sitting at the bar and enjoyed the food.

Later in the evening we sat and enjoyed some entertainment which was great.

We have a lovely room with loch view, which was beautiful. I would say the only negative point was the bathroom could be doing with being painted, other than that we enjoyed our stay.

This is quite a historic hotel, situated right on the Loch. Plenty of parking and the room I was in was fine, with nice views out over the loch and mountains. The staff were also ok. The hotel is in need of a refurbishment but if/when this is completed it will be a really great place to stay and explore the surroundings.

Really thin walls (and other guests are noisy). There is nothing to do in the town of arrochar, and the place caters mainly to tour buses. The staff were not helpful (or existant). I would not recommend this place.

We have been visiting The Articular Hotel for several years now and have never been disappointed. It is a friendly hotel with marvellous staff and a scenic position on the shores of Loch Long.If you are prepared to pay the supplement fora loch side room it is well worth the extra. Most of the rooms are spacious with a good en suite but some of the cheaper rooms need to be extended to make them comfortable. As I have not stayed in one of those for some time so maybe they have been altered now.
The food is presented well with portions far too big for me and breakfast is very good.
A big thankyou to the staff who are pleasant, helpful and very hardworking

Stayed for one night as a stopover whilst travelling further north. Welcoming, clean, efficiently run Hotel overlooking the top end of Loch Long. Food was good, the bar well stocked and they have live entertainment in the evenings. Would certainly stay there again.

Not much choice on menu breakfast also minimal. Staff seem quite laid back and hardly smile. Very dim lights in room and damp smell. Feel that hotel could do with inside redone. Shower and bath taps could do with a clean not very nice to look at.

Pretty nice hotel for the middle of nowhere. Food was decent and the people were nice. No air conditioning, but the great views made up for that.

5

Nice little hotel. We got an extremely good deal of 2x nights 2x breakfasts and 1x evening meal for about £60. The decor is quite outdated and the walls are very thin. But the staff were really helpful and it was pretty clean. Its not super fancy but does the job.

7

Great location with brilliant views onto Loch Long. Decor is a bit shabby n it's a bit run down, could do with an upgrade. First room we got given was small n had dirty bed sheets though the Manager apologised and moved us to a larger room which was nice, also got a free bottle of wine with our dinner. The food at dinner was quite nice, 3 options for each course and you can pay a supplement for food off the other menu. Breakfast was also ok. Overall, had a nice stay and staff were friendly, was worth what we paid

From check in to check out our stay was fantastic. Staff were very helpful and cheery. We were given a loch view room which was superb. Rooms are as others say tired and dated but lovely, clean and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast at the hotel were both tasty and served quickly. The location of the hotel is the real selling point as minutes from loch lomond and on the shores of loch long. Very easy to get to and a great base for exploring. We would consider visiting again.

Spent a night here with my wife. Booked a superior room at the front, great views of the loch. Only black Mark on the room was a damp stain at the window- as I am in the damp and rot business, I think I will leave my card as this will turn out to be a problem. Note to hotel- email me and I will give you a good price!
Good choice for evening meal. Steak was as requested and plenty chips and some salad. Staff were on the ball, could have slowed down a little and given you longer between courses.
Clean room, (See above) linen etc.
Entertainment on the Saturday was a Buddy Holly tribute, few hic- cups at the start with equipment which went full volume and bar staff got such a fright that glasses were dropped, that was entertaining!
In summary, good hotel for a stop of, clean, friendly staff. Would book again.

Older lady at desk not very welcoming. Hotel very dated. Our room had stains on the walls. Spider and cobwebs above the curtain. Heating we could not control manually. It was so hot we had to open the windows. Lamp did not work. Shower curtain all pink and mould stains at the bottom. Disgusting! Breakfast, the host took our room number and said help yourself to the buffet. Orange juices were all warm. Milk was warm. Very very basic. I asked if that's all there was to offer. The host says no, the menu is there on your table. No information of this on arrival. The cooked breakfast was minimal. One sausage. One uncooked fried egg, one potato scone, one piece of bacon and black pudding. Toast. There could have been more of an option. Baked beans, mushrooms, scrambled, poached eggs. For such an outstanding hotel in a perfect location. Just disappointed. Lunch meals were skimpy for what I was paying. The entertainment was shocking. Really shocking. Won't be back!

Nice hotel in a great location. As mentioned, it could use some minor renovation as some parts are white dated, but the experience as a whole is quite enjoyable and generally very clean and well organised. Adding to that the decent prices, this place is a good pick!

8

It's a beautiful location, right next to the Loch. Very friendly staff. The hotel is a bit dated and definitely needs an update but most importantly it is very clean and you get everything you need regarding toiletries, bedding, towels, coffee and tea facilities and a TV. Another great thing which is really important: there is free WiFi throughout the hotel that is a decent speed. I would say it's a decent place to stay where you can relax knowing the rooms are clean, you can use WiFi and the bar and food is pretty good.

Busy hotel in the summer season I'm sure not so much at other times. The check in staff asked my name and I gave it. He gave me the twin room which was booked. Later on it seemed that the room had been booked by another similar name. Oops. Complete mix up and not a problem. However the dirty looks from the guy at the front desk from then on were not called for. Like we had purposely spoiled his day. The dining room was empty if people and staff. Even though we had been advised to book. When we then went to eat in the bar area we were given more dirty looks and told to cancel our booking. Again by the guy from the front desk. All the rest of the staff were nice and the food wasn't bad either. Breakfast was excellent and the setting is absolutely stunning.

Had a lovely 2 night stay here. First night was in a room on the back as we didn't realise we had to ask for a room with a view when booking but a quick word with reception and they were able to move us to the front overlooking the Loch for the next night. Very friendly staff.

Great Location, breakfast, price and traditional feel (not in the bad way) - there were parts that could do with a bit of fresh paint and a little more explaining about the FREE drink promo for not having your room cleaned (read the small print)

Would recommend highly

While the room I used had a lovely view of the Loch, the lock on the door didnt work. I was only staying one night so it didnt bother me but i wouldnt want to leave my stuff in there if i went out for the day.

Breakfast was lovely, but the staff were hovering around seemingly quite bored. It's not a 5 star resort by any means; you get what you pay for. Despite the quirks, its very well priced if you're stopping for the night passing through, as I was.

We stayed here for one night only in June 2015
The hotel overlooks the loch and is easy to find. Room was nice and clean, and the bathroom was a good size, although the shower was very poor.
Unfortunately we arrived quite late, 8pm, and after unsuccessfully trying to find food outside the hotel,
returned to find that we have missed last reservation for dinner, so we ended up at the local chippie just up the road, which we can highly recommend.
Breakfast was cooked to order, so was nice and hot
Arrochar is a lovely quiet village but one night was sufficient

My partner and I stayed at this Hotel for one night.Cant say anything about the room.Clean fresh linen.Fab view of the Loch. What I will say is that the breakfast staff put me off eating..They were dirty looking uniforms.First thing in the morning, they should have been clean and fresh uniforms. One boy could not fit into his shirt. His trousers were discusting, with god knows what on them. They were held together at the bottom with tape or staples on the, what was obvious ripped seam. Not very professional looking. If the waiting staff do not take pride in their apperence then what does the kitchens look like??Also,a Goodmorning ,would have been nice..

We stayed there for 2 nights over Easter. We had made a booking for 2 adults + 1 child and were given a twin room

+ points:
The staff is very friendly and welcoming at the reception and the restaurant
Prices were reasonable given the time of year and how busy it was
The location is stunning
It seemed quiet enough that we weren't disturbed by the Saturday night entertainment at the bar

- points:
2 single beds to sleep 3 people is cutting it short. Luckily our little one likes to sleep in makeshift beds
The rooms are kinda rickety, the style is very 1970s, the door locks are pretty wobbly and the floor boards quite creaky.

We're likely to go back simply because it is quite convenient overall.

I was here 13 years ago with my late mum and sister-in-law when it was still part of North British Tours and also under happier times!! Service was very good then! And good now! I'm sure!
