A decent beach side hotel. It would normally be a 3 star in a normal city but for the beach it's definitely a 4.5 star. It was clean but a little dated design. You could tell they tried to keep the hotel rooms up-to-date. However, it's hard to update something like adding an additional elevator. Overall, I'd stay there again. It was right next to the beach.

Talk about convenient. Stones throw from beach, which is so helpful. Loved the outdoor pool overlooking beach. And right by the boardwalk to enjoy an outdoor movie. Great location.

Adequate, however some similarly priced hotels are better maintained. They could also use either some sound reduction materials or a set quiet time. Beds were comfortable and room seemed clean. Wifi was good despite the challenge of getting signals through a building like that. Both dining options on property were closed any time I had to try them so I can't comment there.

Just went here for their buffet breakfast. The location on the boardwalk with ocean views was enjoyable. Not a huge selection of food but they have the standards and did them well. Not crowded at all during the week and great service.

I have stayed in a many hotel and not everything is perfect. This hotel has withstood the test of time. I love it here... close to the beach, rooms are clean, staff is welcoming. I will stay here every chance I get. Love it!

The hotel has upgraded considerably in the last few years. It is much better than it used to be. The location is great. Seated right on the boardwalk with a salt water pool.

I went to a conference last weekend which was held here. The rooms were very nice. We had a 2 double bed..it had a separate living room area which had a pull out sofa and a sliding door. It was very clean. The staff were extremely nice. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is it was a bit worn.. not the rooms but the property. But that is normal for a beach hotel. We will definitely go back. Within walking distance to the action too.

It's very nice clean rooms & bathroom & can see ocean from our balcony, not noisy, very quiet, snack & soda vending machines at end of hall for my son. Comfortable stay...

I held a catered affair. Staff, food, decor and ocean view all fabulous! Chef Brian was amazing and prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend for any size party, we had over 350 guests and it went without a hitch. First class all the way.

Somewhat aged (AKA retro) right on the ocean. The amenities are sparse in the winter but the cleanliness is outstanding & the staff are WONDERFUL. Bend over backwards to be helpful. Love to come in the winter for an overnight escape. The ocean views on a crisp day are captivating. Winter clothing!
The boardwalk is delightfully uncrowded, but there are enough shops open to provide ample shopping & junk food time. Terrific Italian restaurant at the corner of 1st & Baltimore has several excellent 1/2 price entrees on Tuesday evening. Limited breakfast offerings anywhere nearby, so bring along some muffins & juice (fridge & coffee in the room) for breakfast on the balcony to watch the sunrise. With $99 for a nice room (AAA among several discounts-or just ask for a reduction, might work in the off season) & multiple discounts around town you can leave with room, dinner for 2, a t-shirt & box of salt water taffy for under $200. Treat yourself.

I called and asked a question, was put on hold for 6 minutes. Called back and the lady who answered the phone told me in an acerbic tone of voice that I was on hold because she was busy helping someone else. She asked for my name and number, I told her that I didn't want to bother her, would call back later. She sighed and hung up on me. Wow...first impressions are everything. Bad customer service.

Location is right on the beach. Beach-centered design with pool area near boardwalk and ocean. Seemed clean and staff were decent. Attended a social event so didn't see the rooms.

We come to this Hotel every year. We love the fact that this Hotel is right on the boardwalk. Also has a pool that is right next to the boardwalk and they have plenty of parking for your automobile. We also feel that the Hotel is reasonably priced for being right on the Ocean.

Was pleased with my stay here. Stayed here for 5 days. The room was cleaned everyday by 3 o clock, but as long as you are active on the beach you don't think about the wait. No food was included in our package. Though it costed extra, it was about 15 for All you can eat breakfast. Has a nice pool and a our room was right over the pool and we could see te beach. Friendly staff.

I have come here for years and the remodel definitely made a big difference. Front desk employees need some customer service training, but they get you what you need. Nice rooms once you navigate the maze of hallways.

We stayed here for two nights. We had an oceanview room, but if available I would have liked an ocean view room with a balcony. We felt the rooms were a little expensive as it is an older hotel (dingy elevators, firm bed, dated decor, etc.). What made this hotel a 4 star is the prime location on the beach and boardwalk with chair/umbrella rental for free, as well as the Atlantic Bar and Grill. It was shark week and the drinks were fantastic, prices very reasonable and service from Jason exceptional. Also, on Wednesday from 4 to 5 they had customer appreciation, which included some appetizers, wine and beer. It is a nice hotel for a stay at the beach if your primary concern is location.

Location is perfect, especially having a 3 year old and 7 month old. They also give a free umbrella and 2 chairs for each night that you're staying. Pool is really nice and there are waiters there to take drink and food orders. The food was okay and the room was a little tight. Depending on who we encountered at the front desk they were either super friendly or a little rude but the rest of the staff was very friendly.

We actually met up with friends staying there. Rooms are nice, but not over the top. Inquired regarding the cost per night and it was quite high. We met for drinks and dinner in the early evening. Everything was just so-so, nothing extraordinary. Again, the prices were quite high for the what we received. The staff had trouble keeping up it seemed, and our drinks filled. All in all, not terrible, but can't rave either. Our friends felt the same. As one put it, "I came, I saw, eh."

Had my Daughter's June Wedding Reception at the Atlantic Sands. The event was 5+ stars! The food was FANTASTIC and the dinner portions for our guests were superb! Each of the Prime Rib, Chicken, and Vegan dinners were extremely fresh and flavorful! The serving staff was efficient and polite and extremely accommodating. Customer service was their Number 1 objective. Our event managers, Barbara, Joe, and Zoltan took care of EVERYTHING during the event, including clean up after an exciting evening of dancing with friends and family. Our guests, my Daughter and new Son in Law, her Mother and I could not be more happy with the event!

Adequate accommodations but nothing spectacular. Room had a fine layer of sand seemingly on everything. Shower had low pressure, and the temperature varied wildly despite not changing the settings. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Clean rooms, restaurant and pool area. Staff are friendly and attentive. Accommodations are a little dated and the bartender on the patio is sloooww but the waitresses are good. Underground parking is a great feature.

AMAZING........ i don't normally give 5 stars out as it is real hard to achieve. MY experience in dealing with this hotel has been top shelf, from sales, banquet, resturant and from all their employees, the experience has been amazing.

We are coming back as a group next year and looking forward to working with them again.

The staff was really nice and the free parking was worth staying here alone. We never had to worry about finding a place to park and could just walk to almost everything we wanted to do. The view from our room was fantastic with the ocean and sunrise right outside our room. The only real complaint is that when the shower got hot it had a high pitched scream from the nozzle....but that's probably unique to this room. I would definitely stay again

Had a very pleasant stay at the end of February. The desk staff was lovely, the room clean. I suppose some updating could be done - new carpet wouldn't be amiss - but I was only there to shower and sleep so my room was fine.

Great winter get-away. Love the sound of the surf. Clean oceanfront room. Friendly staff. The hotel restaurants were closed for the winter. Otherwise it would rate 5 stars.

My (now) Wife and I held our Wedding here on December 3rd, 2016. From the beginning, Justin was great in communicating with us and helping us get everything coordinated and setup. On the day and night of the Wedding we dealt directly with Lauren who was (I believe) the coordinator for the night. She was perfect in making sure everyone was taken care of and in keeping things running smooth. Everyone at the reception constantly mentioned how great of service the staff was and also how friendly they were. You guys deserve all the praise and we're glad we were able to hold our special day at your venue. Thanks again!!!

Nice hotel with good views of the ocean if you go in the off season. I just wish they had breakfast during the week in the off season too! Friendly staff too, especially since we were one of the few people in the hotel.

The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. Check in was a breeze. The rooms has some ocean view as we were on the side but I have had the ocean side and it's much nicer. Lots of food around on the main Street and cool souvenir shops all over. Conference room gets chilly so dress in layers! We love it here and come back every year.

The hotel was very well located, and otherwise it was a pleasant stay. The building is on the beach with several great dining locations nearby. Our room was clean and we were generally pleased with our stay.

4 stars because location is great and the pool is wonderful for kids. However, the hotel is much more of a motel. Rooms were clean and I enjoyed the studio/suite layout.

Although not a luxury hotel, we found Atlantic Sands to have the best ratio of price to location. It's literally steps from the beach. The hotel looks a bit dated but the rooms were clean, the pool area was nice, and the staff was friendly. They provide free rentals of beach umbrellas and chairs. Overall I have no complaint with my stay and would stay there again.

Everything was clean. The buffet was worth the price. Appreciated the free umbrella and beach chair loan. Called to reserve room and only paid $200 plus tax. Overall very nice, no complaints.

Nice time! Location was awesome right by the beach. I got a partial view of the ocean so when I woke up I saw the beach and waves. Reception was helpful could have been a little more enthusiastic. Wifi wasn't strong in our wing. The hallways could have had brighter lights but no big deal. Elevators kinda cramped but not bad. Pool was nice with lots of chairs. Everyone was really nice and friendly. Hotel rooms clean.

So awful we left a day early. Basically the only good thing about this place was location and the free beach chairs and umbrella. The beds were THE WORST I have ever slept in. The mattresses were concave and I woke up at 11pm, my back hurting from them. Myhusband and I were up all night. Could not get comfortable. The breakfast buffet was basic, nothing great and the staff not friendly and didn't seem to care nor did anyone ask why we were checking out early. Old, dingy looking (why do all these beach hotels look so bad???)

Go somewhere else or back an air mattress.
