Certifications
ISO 14001
ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:
• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards
• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery
• Raise environmental awareness among employees and train them to adopt good practices in their activity
• Use eco-label housekeeping products
• Use sustainable forestry certified paper
ISO 50001
ISO 50001 is based on the management system model of continual improvement also used for other well-known standards such as ISO 9001 or ISO 14001. This makes it easier for organizations to integrate energy management into their overall efforts to improve quality and environmental management.
ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

Relaxing resort in beautiful area surrounded by Borneo rainforest. From this resort you can go on arranged excursions, up river by narrow boat to meet local Iban people in their longhouses. A fascinating and amazing experience.

Even though the property is quite old and none is investing to refurbish and give a new spring to the resort, the hardwoods and the local hard workers and doing their best to keep the property accessible and operating. Still worth a visit . Recommended 2 nights

It is not part of the Hilton group anymore.
The Aiman Batang Ai is located outside Kuching on the Island of Borneo. You need to drive about 4 hours from Kuching and then take a ferry to the Hotel. It can all be organized by the Hotel. Around 60 USD for a roundtrip.

The place is a bit run down due to aging and not well maintain. Overall, Batang Ai is a really beatiful place. With crystal clear natural lake, surrounded by great reserve forest and symbolic of the Borneo- long house design with Belian wood. It's a heritage that we can't find at any other place.

An amazing resort where you can retreat at a place that's very calm and not that many tourists. The staff are to kind and the food taste very good.
Our room in the Longhouse was surprisingly very spacious and equiped with everything you need and almost no insects in there at all. The showerpressure surprisingly is the highest I've met so far have in Borneo.

If solace and tranquility is what you seek, stay a minimum of two nights. Sweeping lake side view and cool evenings calms nerves and rejuvenates the soul. A trip to a neighbouring longhouse is a culturally enriching experience.
