Green Key Eco-Rating Program 4

With more than 1,200 hotels certified in Canada since its inception in the 1990s, the Green Key Eco-Rating Program awards hotels an environmental rating of one to five Green Keys. Green Key members are then given guidance on how to "unlock" opportunities to reduce operating costs and environmental impacts - and in turn earn more keys.

The Green Key audit looks at nine major areas of sustainable hotel operations:
• Energy conservation
• Water conservation
• Solid waste management
• Hazardous waste management
• Indoor air quality
• Community outreach
• Building infrastructure
• Land use
• Environmental management

My favorite hotel stay by far. We got a first floor atrium view room. It was perfect for us with 2 toddlers. We had a sliding door from our room, only a few steps to the pool. It made it much easier than dragging our wet children through the hotel 3 times a day. We loved the outdoor feel of the pool area, and the connecting restaurant was so good. Everyone was so nice, even when my kids wanted to run around instead of sit and eat😂

My family and I had a great experience at this hotel. The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast was perfect. We loved the indoor garden area! We will definitely be staying here again.

We booked this hotel while traveling back to Vancouver and we were really happy with the customer service experience we had. Not to mention that we have a dog, so offering a dog friendly room is definitely a big plus!

The amenities were great and well-maintained. We were able to enjoy the indoor swimming pool and hot tub, while appreciating the great atmosphere with all the plants. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the country style bar and restaurant always has something going on. We were there on a live music day, and it was packed!

This hotel was extremely accommodating. Got us into a room last minute on a busy long weekend. Was very comfortable and clean. Staff is very friendly the restaurant and complementary breakfast were fantastic. Not much to see on the outside but inside is gorgeous .They have an indoor atrium with waterfalls, plants, with swimming pool and hot tub. My kids loved it here. I will be using this hotel for all of our west coast vacations!!

Good country style motel with a nice all weather atrium in the middle of the hotel including a rainforest, pool area and some outdoor restaurant seating.
Restaurant food was quite good at both dinner and the included breakfast.
A good stay.

Always great service and clean comfortable rooms. We often stay with children and dogs and are very well cared for. The tropical atrium setting complete with pool and hot tub is a welcome atmosphere from travel in winter or summer and is always fun for the kids. Many members of my family stay at this location and always have nothing but positive feedback. I highly recommend staying at this best western with or without children and asyou can see by my photo everyone sleeps well in the soft cozy beds.

We stayed there for two nights with our 19 month old son. The hotel is an older, two level building. It has a very nice small very humid and warm atrium and a fair sized swimming pool and a hot pool on the side. Our family had fun in the pool... but the water was very cold. The rooms were roomy and clean. Wide hallways. The staff was friendly, but the front counter people doesn't greet you when you walk past them unless you greet them first. They have complementary breakfast in the mornings... we were pleasantly surprised. Make your own waffles (original and chocolate), scrambled eggs, sausages, hash brown potatoes, French toasts, a variety of fruits, cereals, yogurt, breads, pastries, juices, coffee, tea, etc... and the selections will vary every day. We didn't try the restaurant but you get 10% off total bill. We had a pleasant stay at the SureStay Hotel. It was an older building but it was confortable and clean. The complimentary breakfast was great.

Kids loved the pool and atrium. Decor is definitely dated. We had a nice sized room but it cost more than I would have liked to pay for a hotel room in downtown Vancouver.

Great indoor environment, as for the outdoor you should drive to places close by to enjoy. The location is just by the highway and not inside the mountains. Rooms were big, I enjoyed the restuarant.

This is always our go to hotel when we come to Chilliwack. The indoor gardens and fish pond are just amazing! Such a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are always clean when we check in. We always book a room with a balcony overlooking the atrium. The sound of the water features are so calming. The Embassy resturant there is always amazing as well! Great food, overly exceptional service and there is a section that even comes out into the atrium, super classy place! It is my most favorite hotel to stay at in all of British Columbia.

It's a older hotel but had great staff and was relaxing. The pool setting feels like you are outside. It was a nice to look over the balcony and onto the pool. It had a tropical feel to it. Continental breakfast was good the first night but the second they took away the sausages and a few others. But all in all was good.

A diamond in the rough!! It is set in the middle of the industrial district however we were pleasantly surprised with the facilities. The staff were very freindly and welcoming, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the centre courtyard atrium was awesome. The pool and hot tub were in the atrium and are usable all year round which was really nice. They have a very nice restaurant that also opens onto the atrium, which gave it a really nice ambience. The buffet brunch was nice with a lot of selection. They also have a liquor store attached which was stocked with lots of BC Wineries and high end liquors. A very positive experience.

5

Great experience overall, aside from breakfast on the last day. Maybe it was the younger staff, I don't know, but they basically stopped refilling the breakfast stations at 9:00am , even though breakfast was to run until 9:30am. We were there with a hockey tournament and had just finished a 7am game and rushing back for breakfast before the kids went swimming, only to have nothing except toast, dry cereal, and a line up at the waffle maker. They even took the drinks away as people were waiting to in a line to fill up. Again, the rest of the stay was great, but maybe a little better understanding of who your guests are- the rooms were all blocked as teams so they knew it was a tournament.

All the staff was very polite, courteous and patient. With multiple hockey teams staying, there were plenty of kids, and plenty of noise. We had a nice little relaxing getaway. Our view of the pool was great, especially since our younger one was sick with a fever. I was able to still enjoy being around everyone, while watching and taking care of my daughter. The hotel has a nice cozy, relaxing feeling and we even got to watch a wedding in the cute gazebo, from our balcony! The room was clean, and I especially love the sand soap and toiletries too. The hand soap sold me! Love that idea. I had brought my own, but was so happy to see this here. More hotels need to do this as well. Thanks for a great stay.

Just there for lunch. Quiet peaceful Atrium restaurant. Food was small town country food. Exactly what expected for where we were, but delicious, hit the spot and cheap. $12 for a full pork dinner with vegetables. Can't beat that price.

Very good food, nice friendly staff. However, they include gratuity on the bill when you get the buffet, BUT THEY DONT TELL YOU. And they will accept a tip on top of that without telling you. Someone in my party paid nearly $40 in tip for 4 people's brunch buffet.

From the moment we were cheerfully greeted until we were wished an enjoyable journey, we we're very pleased with the service and facilities at this hotel. It is in the throes of being updated and so our room was freshly renovated and exceedingly comfortable! The foyer was being painted and will be gorgeous when it's completed. The hallways have been done but the finishing details are in progress. We commented that the breakfast room was the nicest we've seen in any Best Western we've ever stayed at. It's situated in the atrium and is large and spacious. The staff throughout this hotel we're so polite and courteous, we wished we lived closer so we could have tried the full restaurant. We will definitely be back! Kudos to the leadership team.

Check-in was easy, though we had requested poolside ground floor and didn't get it. We had card problems a few times, but front desk worked pretty quickly to fix it. The atrium with the hot tub and pool in the middle was good if you don't mind the public atmosphere. Beds were nice, room was clean, drains drained. The continental breakfast was standard. We had the Striploin dinners at the restaurant , which was quite good. Location is close to liquor store and Tim Hortons. Overall, for a quick overnight stop with buddies, this is fairly ideal. I wouldn't recommend staying for a special occasion with your wife, but otherwise I was happy with staying here.

The hotel was very comfortable, and the air conditioning was fantastic. The room wasn't ready when we arrived so we went to the restaurant for a meal. The food and service were spectacular. When we got into the room it was immaculate and the beds were so comfy. With a free breakfast, attached liquor store, beautiful indoor atrium, and a Tim Hortons in the parking lot - it was darn near perfection!

I'll be honest, I was a little worried about staying here at first. The hotel looks out-dated from the outside and is nestled between a truck stop, a highway and a derelict lot. So I was all the more surprised when I found this to be a wonderful place to stay!
The rooms were large and clean, if somewhat sparsely furnished. The breakfast at the restaurant was very good considering it's complimentary (real scrambled eggs with bacon!). Staff were all friendly.
The standout however is the atrium at the center of the hotel with its stone walkways through real greenery and a decent sized pool for the kids to play in.
Absolutely worth staying at if you're in the area!

Not a bad hotel. It is clearly an older hotel. So you deal with old hotel issues. The bed was really comfortable, slept really well on it. The bath tub was ridiculously small. Impossible for a grown man to take a bath. One of our two key cards worked intermittently. The inside courtyard with the pool and dinning area was really impressive. The vegetation the little flowing stream the walkways through it. Very nice, very pleasant place to wander or to sit and eat or just relax. Hotel WiFi was fast and stable.

Our family spent Mother's Day weekend in the Fraser Valley. We chose the Chilliwack Rainbow Inn for Mother's Day dinner and an overnight stay. We splurged a little for the king suite, which my wife and daughters absolutely loved. The room was gorgeous, the in room massage tub was a huge hit and the beds were so so comfortable. Dinner in the garden restaurant was fantastic as was the free breakfast the next morning. We had an excellent stay and will return again soon....

We had stayed at this hotel previously and we really liked it. We got a good deal with our room and it was pretty big for 3 people. My daughter enjoyed running around the room because it was that big. It was pretty quiet so we got some good night sleep and it's pretty clean. The staff are friendly and would always say hi or good morning. Breakfast is good ( we got it part of the room rate) so that's nice that we don't have to go out of the hotel to get breakfast.

Our room was clean and comfortable, but was on the highway side so there was a lot of traffic noise. Thank goodness for earplugs! :-) The restaurant is noisy and basically serves only "pub food" so we went elsewhere (Greek Islands) for supper. Breakfast was fine. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The staff ALL went above and beyond to meet our needs. Braydan was extremely helpful every time we interacted with him, starting at the time I called to make my reservations for 5 separate weekend stays for business. I brought my family with me and the staff ensured a crib was set up and ready to go each time we arrived, and they always made an effort to plcevusbinnkegervsuites so my kids would have a bit of extra room while I was at work during the day - that way my wife had more space to keep them entertained as the weather was miserable most of the time (lots of snow).

I will ALWAYS stay here when out this way on business.

Ask a room with a view of the atrium and indoor fountain. It's well worth it! Also, the breakfast that's included was quite good. They've also got a pretty popular bar that plays live music on the weekend. The rooms are maintained well and the staff were pleasant. Definitely would come back again.

Basic hotel, and the staff are very friendly. The pool is clean! First time in a long time I have gotten out of a pool/hot tub and not smelled. We stay at a lot of hotels, roughly two weekends a month and this one was a surprise. The team booked here and after seeing the picture, I wanted out, but my child wanted to stay with his team so I thought one night wouldn't hurt, well we stayed from Thursday till Sunday and I would stay again.

It's a basic hotel along the highway with the added bonus of the atrium. The rooms are clean and the front desk staff friendly. The breakfast leaves something to be desired though. Not a lot of options, and what they do have is pretty basic. Stayed there twice now, and I would certainly stay again.

Spacious rooms, very quiet considering the location and clean rooms. Beautiful atrium with waterfall and tropical theme. Friendly staff and quick check-in. Good value for the whole experience. Only one thing that had us baffled was the shower/tub it was not a tub you could really fit in very well short sides and not it very long, being very tall made it not an option for me to have a bath. Other then that it was a very good over night stay.

I would come here again sometime in the future.

The dinning area is spacious and offers plenty of room for a large group dinning experience. They offered a special Thanksgiving meal which included salad/soup, main course of Thanksgiving spread and dessert. A little miss communication about the orders meant we got additional food at no extra cost which is fine. Over all enjoyable dinning experience. Walk around the arboretum for a little post dinner exercise.

Very clean. Spacious room . accomidates pets. Staff was nice. Resturant staff not so much we called ahead to say we were going to be late due to the ferry and they said no worries we will work something out for you but when we arrived the resturant staff was very rude because we were their 30 mins to closing... Even tho we called and then said it would be fine they made us feel terrible with their room comments about them not being able to go home and how they already cleaned everything. Liked the hotel but not the restaurant there.

As a wedding photographer, (Ken Pugh Wedding Photography), I have been at the Best Western many times. All my brides were pleased with the excellent personal service of the staff! The receptions are very well decorated and serviced by an experienced team of professionals. I know of one lady there for over fifteen years! You have to try the roast beef! It simply melts in your mouth. As a focal location for photographs, (pardon the pun), the atrium puts you in Jamaica! The tropical touch during our bleak winters is soooo nice. Great job with the landscaping! I am very pleased to have the Best Western Country Inn as a valued member in our select group of wedding professionals Fraser Valley Wedding Solutions!
