Amazing location right in the loop. Very close to downtown and many attractions nearby. Rooms are slightly small and you can hear your neighbors open their doors. Front desk lady could've been friendly, she happened to be grumpy when we checked in. Housekeeping staff are friendly. One of the best places to stay if you are willing to compromise on the room quality for a great location.

I enjoyed my, albeit short, stay at the Central Loop Hotel. The room was a little dated, but very well-stocked, cozy, and clean. Check-in was easy and they even let me check in a few hours early. Didn't take advantage of anything else at the hotel since my stay was so short, but would stay there again.

For the fact that I paid almost $900 for three nights, and then was put in a low end room when I paid for the superior room seemed like they were trying to pull a fast one... the superior room is supposed to come with a kitchenette, so that was the first clue they lied and put me in the wrong room. I don’t know why you would try to do that to a customer who has clearly paid for what they want... as if I wouldn’t notice the difference. It wasn’t until I called the front desk that they agreed to put me in a “better room” which still did not qualify as a superior room (unless a microwave qualifies as a kitchenette). Additionally, the AC unit was so loud, I had to shut it off just to sleep, but then would get woken up at least an hour before my alarm because the room would get so hot. Light came into the room because the curtains don’t close all the way, so that didn’t help either. Don’t get me started on how terrible I an experience it was using the TV. Just wait and find that out for yourself. Three stars because the pillows were comfortable and free water bottles in the halls. Long story short, this was my first time in Chicago and if I ever come back, I won’t be staying here. Everything else could have still happened, but I just really did not appreciate being lied to and deliberately put in the wrong room.

Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Hotel decor a bit outdated but nothing too drastic. Nice coffee in the morning and wine at happy hour. Near a great pizza place and food hall, but a bit of walk for other things. Good deal and would return

Cons: This hotel oddly had diagonal doors with narrow halls. If you and the guest in the next room was coming or going at the same time, one would have to wait. There's no way you can come out at the same time. The room was the smallest I've ever seen!! I did see into a kitchenette room that was being cleaned and it was bigger. The bed wasn't comfy. I always check for bed bugs when I go to hotels. Boy was I upset that I did that. The mattress looked like it came from the alley it was so browned. The bathroom looked institutionalized. Housekeeping didn't clean our room. I had to chase her down for fresh towels. There's no iron in the room. You have to get it from a closet on your floor. Better hope it's one available. The view?? It was non existent. I had to stand on the bed to look out the window. Other rooms probably has a better view. Mine just didn't.
Pros:
Valet was friendly and accommodating. Hotel staff was friendly. The hotel has a restaurant where we had breakfast. Food was flavorful and delicious. The hotel offers social hour from 5-6pm where you can get free wine, snacks and socialize in a lounge area. They have water bottle stations on guest floors where they provide water bottles that you can fill for free.
Overall: If your only staying a night or two I recommend.

The location was perfect for sightseeing. The connected restaurant was great for convenience. The room wasn't very big, but a good size for one or two people. The service was quick and friendly. No issues, though the blanket on the bed had the tendency to slide off.

I surprised my boyfriend with a trip to Chicago last fall and we stayed at this hotel. Our flight was delayed and by the time we landed in Chicago it was 11pm. We had to check in at 4pm. I called the hotel and the staff was so kind and understanding. When we arrived the staff greeted us and told us they had be expecting us! They even upgraded our single queen bed room to a suite!!! The room was lovely and pretty big! This hotel has a great restaurant down stairs and its in the city close to everything! I definitely recommend this hotel if you will be traveling to Chicago soon!

Central Loop is spot on. The staff from check in to housekeeping have been excellent, the room exceeded my expectations, the location is exactly Central to the Loop. Phone as key didn't work inititally, but was quickly fixed at the front desk. The availability of the Elephant and Castle downstairs (with early and late hours) was a huge boon. Thanks to everyone here!

Rooms are very small but I found them to be clean and quiet. This hotel is about .5 miles from Millennium Park. Furniture was on the dated side. Staff were friendly and did not hesitate to stand in the pooring rain to help me hail a cab.

Really a nice boutique hotel. Rooms were small but clean and well equipped. Bathroom is tiny but worked for us. Great location and there’s an english pub connected. Staff was super sharp and friendly. They had free wine and cheese for happy hour. Not great views but we knew that coming in. We parked in structure but sounded like valet was about the same price.

Hotel room is perfect size if you are visiting/ for work or plan to explore Chicago all day. A little smaller than I'm used to but still a great place to stay. The smart TV allows you to sign into streaming apps that you have a subscription with.

Great hotel!! Decently priced & a good location for touring downtown! Stayed a week here with my girlfriend, the staff was really nice, the rooms were really clean, the walk in shower was amazing, they had unlimited free water bottles in the lobby of each floor too which was convenient, they even had a decent sized fitness room where I could work out everyday it was open 24 hours!

I’d give 5 stars but they didn’t have a pool, I definitely recommend them though!

The room is plenty big enough for 2! It is clean, the coffee in the room was so nice, the shower felt great, no tub(in this room)if you need one. Jonah at the front desk has been just fantastic! Thank you for the late checkout🤗I highly recommend this hotel and when I come back, I will stay here for sure!

Wonderful hotel. Great customer service, plenty of commendations, good rooms, reasonably priced, and lets 18 year olds check in. Location is great for subways, and room was clean and pleasant. Only downside was the app was confusing, but it wasn't necessary anyway.

Good price, but lots of minor nuisances. 85% of the irons don't work, the printer wasn't working, the windows were not very well insulated, and they were always out of humidifiers. A good basic stay if you find have any extra needs.

“UNIMPRESSED” would be the summation of the weekend. It is an older hotel that is looking to impress with its technology. Unfortunately no of the said technology worked. They start with the check-in kiosk that could not find the reservation. Once we got our key we moved to the cramped quarters...which was not unexpected. However, from this point we found the television did not work. Maintenance came and could not fix it. We were told they would move us, but it never happened. The next day the tv was fixed, but had no sound. The fitness center was closed while we were their. The weekend was capped off with the guests service people insist I use the kiosk to check out even though it didn’t work. Once an employee unsuccessfully used the kiosk they finally agreed to check me out at the desk.

Location is nice, tidy and clean hotel, decent WiFi. Microwave and fridge in room and room service is great from the pub downstairs called the elephant and castle. The air-conditioning is extremely noisy, the TVs are small like 23 inches and pillows aren't great so overall your winding down and sleeping well ritual at the end of the day isn't catered for so well. No safes in the room but they have a work desk.

Well the room was very small as well the price. I took an special of $70 dls. It was clean, the personal was so polite and respectful. In conclusion this hotel is one of the best in loop. At least for me. If you are looking for some comfort and good prices this is the place to go. Obviously don't spect a luxury hotel but l enjoy my stance there.

I stayed here one night and the room was completely acceptable for Chicago. Plenty of resources if you are a professional who needs to work. Since i was in town for pleasure, not business, I was in the room to sleep and shower -that's it. They offer free water and a bottling service to all guests. The only quirk to the place is there are only online reservations. I tried to walk in and book a room and was told to book online. So I stood in the lobby, five feet from the check-in counter and booked a room. Then had to wait five minutes for their computers to get the reservation, at which time I could check-in. Seemed silly, but if you don't have a smart-phone you would be out of luck.

The room was lovely, clean and modern. It's a charming hotel in a fantastic location at an affordable price. My only issue is with the staff. They aren't very friendly.

My first encounter with this was on the phone before check-in, where I had questions about the valet. Our first pass by the hotel had no parking, and I saw no one out front for valet service. (It's on a one-way street in downtown Chicago; there's no time to linger.) After calling the hotel and navigating through a lengthy automated voice message system, the woman who answered the phone was rather short: there were spots out front available now for car drop-off, and they do offer valet service (as they should, with the $50+ parking fee per night).

The following day, the back of our valet ticket said to dial 0 for the front desk [to relay the message to valet to pick up our vehicle.] We provided the male, front desk worker with both our room number and our valet ticket number. It was going to take about 20 minutes for the valet to retrieve our car, which we had known about ahead of time, and were more than alright with. We waited more than 40 minutes before I approached the valet, who stated that he had never received the message from the front desk. It was then that the valet worker promptly went to retrieve our vehicle. (This means it took about an hour to get our car from the valet!)

From here, I approached the front desk and said I had a complaint. The woman, the other worker, standing next to Bob literally, audibly said "uh oh." I was stunned by this display of unprofessionalism. To Bob's (the manager, I assume) credit, however, he did fix the valet issue and refunded us the amount of parking/valet service for the night. I was very pleased.

As we waited in the lobby, we heard the front desk receiving the same complaint from another couple. I would have rated this hotel higher, especially because our issues were so quickly and rightfully addressed, but just as we left, we watched Bob go out and scold his valet staff. Our valet had been very apologetic for the mix up from the start - and incredibly kind throughout our whole stay. It was not their fault that they did not receive the necessary information to do their job from the front desk. I was disappointed that Bob chose to talk to the valet in such a manner rather than his workers at the front desk.

I would also like to mention that when we approached the front desk to check out, one of the workers (a man with glasses, beard, and longer hair - and also the one we assume who did not pass along our information to the valet) rudely stated that he'd be with us in a minute. (He never got to us. The female standing in front of the counter organizing luggage swooped back to assist us.) We were patiently standing back away from the counter waiting to be called. There was no need for that.

Overall, I would choose to stay here again, as it really is a charming venue, but I would leave any expectations of hospitality behind.

Good location for access to transportation, but far enough from the train to not suffer from the noise. Room was small but well furnished and very usable. Friendly and accommodating staff. We were able to store our bags for free all day before checking in.

Even though we went during construction, the service was still great and it was still a great place to stay. And may I add our whole trip was last minute and it was a perfect spot to be. Everything we needed was a walk away.

Nice hotel overall. Rooms were wonderful, if small and could use a fridge and/or microwave. Guest bathroom left room to be desired. Small, outdated. Felt cheap; very similar to a carnival cruise bathroom. Underpowered toilet. All in all, would probably stay again if it was the best price, but the bathroom issues were worth at least 1 star being removed

Mostly good. Room was pretty small but wasn't too cramped. We had to wait over 10 minutes for them to get us another pillow. When I asked for ear plugs at night they said they would send some up but when the guy came he only had a "sleep kit" which had a face mask, some tea, and a smelly oil, no ear plugs. Otherwise service was very good everyone was nice and professional.

Location is really great, close to everything you'll need. You can easily take the subway, rent a bike or even go walking to whatever place you want to visit. Our room was clean, the size was acceptable and there was a pretty complete kitchen in there. The Wi-Fi was not good though, there was no safe box in the room, the hotel does not offer breakfast and the lady who told us this was not kind. Fortunately, you’ll find a Corner Bakery pretty close to the hotel, which offers great stuff for your breakfast for a pretty decent price. Despite the mentioned lady, the hotel staff are friendly and the hotel is good.

My room was nicely furnished with a large tv, work desk and walk in shower. There is a nice restaurant and bar in the lobby as well as a fitness center. There are complementary refillable water bottles on each floor with chilled filtered water. This is a great location for business travellers.

The rooms are small, the heaters don't work and parking is ridiculously expensive ($53/day valet -- better to self-park nearby on Federal St.), but I still somehow enjoyed my stay. The employees there are very courteous, my bed was huge, and the hotel is relatively well-located (a little far from Wrigley but not that far from Soldier Field). Plus I got a stellar deal at $100/nt. At that price, I highly recommend it.

Pretty nice place, not super fancy. I kinda thought they would give us a robe, but they didn't. The rooms were small, but that's how it goes in Chicago. They gave lot's of nice little perks like a really nice business lounge with free computer access with nice coffee and really decent free snacks.

The rooms were very tight as was the bathroom. However the hotel had some very nice small accommodations I've never experienced before. They had free water bottles and refill stations in the hallways which were great. Also the rooms had ChromeCast so we could watch anything we wanted. The wifi was very good too. The rest of the experience was good, not great but definitely nothing to complain about. Service was very good as was the staff. Would stay here again.

One of the older hotels downtown. Some rooms are really nice, where others not so much. The hotel is very clean. The restaurant was closed however during my 3-week stay there, and of course there was no discount for the inconvenience, or apologies for that matter. Maybe some more snacks be made available for us road-weary travelers? That's a small price to pay for satisfied customers.

Overall I give them a 3 Star rating mostly due to the cost vs. the amenities (or lack of) during my stay.

The location is absolutely amazing if your intent is to visit the museums, as mine was! The art museum is right at the end of the street, and the field museum and aquarium are an enjoyable 20 minute walk away. The room we stayed in was a good size, though limited on space. But the bed was quite large and very clean and comfortable! The customer service by the staff was excellent. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others!

I stayed at the Central Loop Hotel on Feb. 21st-22nd to see Hamilton.

Pros:

1) Hotel was clean
2) Affordable @ $99 a night (with all fees included)
3) The hotel will keep your bag if your check out time doesn't align with your flight/train
4) The hotel let me check in four hours early @ 11am.
5) Staff is incredibly helpful and wonderful. They gave me recommendations on nightlife.

Cons:
1) As a single traveler, the hotel was perfect and conveinent

I only stayed at the hotel for one night but I really enjoyed the experience. The front desk was helpful and kind. There is free filtered water and water bottles available on each floor which I love since I always travel with a refillable water bottle. It's very easy to get to the blue, red, orange, brown and pink train lines. The room was clean and they offer free wifi (unsecured), launderette service, food delivery and many other amenities that I did not have time to take advantage of. I booked through groupon so I got an even better price for what they offer. Would definitely return.

Definitely one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. I don't usually stay in hotels that could be classified as "nice" so being here was really a great time. The room had a small kitchen area and we were on the corner of the building so we had a view of downtown in both directions. The staff was nice and the bed was ridiculously comfortable. 10/10 will stay here everytime I go to Chicago

The two amazing people at the front desk were absolutely fantastic. I seriously hurt my knee the day I arrived and had booked a room without a fridge. When I asked if there was any way I could freeze an ice pack they upgraded me to a room with a fridge even though I was already checked in and in a room for a few hours. They even offered to help with my one suitcase since I was limping around. I have never seen any hotel do something like that without even blinking. Both rooms were very clean and comfortable, I had no complaints about the initial room and certainly no complaints about the new room. Definitely a great place to stay and I will definitely recommend and come back myself.

This hotel is one of the real jewels of the windy city. New world old style grand at it's most authentic if not it's most affordable. Great though unobtrusive staff. Genuinely helpful concierge and well equipped if not spacious rooms. It's got everything going for it that a venue of it's kind should have in terms of location in a city like Chicago but more than that, this hotel is more to be experienced than just stayed in. Give yourself a few days else you'll miss what i'm talking about.
Central Loop is not by any means inexpensive so most families should forget it. For various reasons I found myself at Chicago airport unexpectedly the first time I stayed. What ever you do, don't do what I did and book the hotel a) at the last minute and/or b) using one of the online hotel finding services. You'll find that booking directly with the hotel will save you about 15% to 20%.

Overall, very nice hotel. I stayed here for a week while on business and I enjoyed the experience. One of the best aspects of the hotel is the location. Location, location, location! The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the hotel itself is very nice. There is a nice pub on the first floor of the hotel which offers a good option for lunch, dinner, or drinks. They also will deliver the food to your room. The perks and amenities are nice as well. They have a laundry room, gym, and guest lounge (no pool). I would have liked to see a vending machine & ice machine on each floor but it's only on one of the floors. They have chilled water stations on every floor which is very nice. Now to my biggest complaint, the rooms. They are outdated and small. For what I paid I was expecting something more modern, updated, and spacious. Notably, there wasn't a microwave or refrigerator in my room and the TV/tech in the room was very out of date. The bathroom was also small/cramped and outdated. Also, I had to request my room be cleaned every day because if I didn't my room would be skipped. Overall as I said the hotel and experience was good. I would stay here again if I had the chance and would recommend it. For the price there may be other better comparable options but I enjoyed my experience here.

I am not sure what others are looking for in their hotel rooms, but I found this hotel to be a gem. The rooms are not expansive, but well decorated and most of all clean. The amenities are wonderful and the staff helpful. The books in the room are a nice touch. I didn't need a degree to figure out the air conditioner and the bathroom toiletries were not cheap.

I will be back to this hotel. The location is great and near everything I wanted to attend.

I checked in here two nights ago. My first room was not the best because the bed wasn't great, but the staff here were excellent the and did all they could to get me into a different room and make my stay more comfortable.

However, the rooms need a serious upgrade. The walls are super thin and I have been woken up by people on both sides of me multiple times.

The hotel is just fine. Do not expect anything fancy. There are much better hotels over there, and I assume there must be worst also. The service was correct, the room small. The bathroom was ok, and the bed comfortable.

The locations was great as it was right next to where I was meeting for work. Rooms are pretty small and expensive compared to other places near it my coworkers stayed at. Service was excellent though.

We choose this hotel for the good rate, and close proximity to the attractions we wanted to see. Walking distance to Willis Tower, and there are tons of restaurants around.
One morning, we woke up, watched TV for a bit before going down to leave. Standing in the lobby, we heard what sounded like storng winds. We go outside to see a helicopter mid-air doing construction. We didnt even hear it in our room

The view isnt the greatest, but thats ok with me. There is no continental breakfast, and rooms are cramped, but for the price, i would stay here again and recommend it to others.
Staff was friendly, upgraded us because it was our anniversary. They offer discounted tickets to Willis tower.
