One of the best experiences I've ever had at a hotel! The staff was friendly and helpful; in fact,they almost always have multiple people by the 1st floor entrance that are able to help with bus questions, mailing letters, tourist attractions, etc. Everything was very clean in all areas of the hotel, laundry room and fitness room included, and your room can be made up daily or left undisturbed simply by signaling with a button. If you have access to the VIP Lounge I highly recommend taking advantage of this! They have daily breakfast, dinner service/"happy hour," and beverage service. My time in Seoul was great and the Courtyard Marriott Namdaemun made it even better.

Best courtyard I’ve ever stayed at. Breakfast buffet was pricey but excellent. Most courtyards in the states are not this nice. This is more like a Marriott or Hilton. Service was excellent. Stay here!! Perfect location for all the sights.

Staff members are extremely friendly and fluent in English which really helped for non-Korean travellers. The hotel is close to many attractions and also easy access to airport bus. The hotel also provides free cot and bottled water daily. Highly recommended!

My fourth visit to Seoul and was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome during my check-in process. I had several requests and inquiries throughout my stay and all staff members were courteous, helpful, and responsive. Room was clean and tidy. Amenities were provided daily and consistently. Check-out process was fast. I honestly have nothing to complain about. By far the best stay I have had out of my four trips.

Loved my stay here!! This is a LOT nicer than your typical Courtyard Hotel. The location is fantastic for both shopping and business, and only a few minutes walk from the City Wall Park trail, the main train station and the market. The room was spacious and with a modern design. The staff live out Korean hospitality and treat you with fines. Unlike most Courtyards, this location includes an Executive Lounge. Thanks to my Marriott status, I enjoyed a fantastic spread each morning for breakfast and no lines when check-out time came. This is now my go-to hotel in Seoul without a doubt!!

Always very friendly and helpful staff. The executive Lounge also has good food and refreshments. Decent fitness center and an ATM on the property. I'm told I'm upgraded, but looks like a standard King room to me.

This was the last hotel on our six-day tour of the bicycle paths around Seoul and easily the most luxurious.
Our other hotels were fine and the trip included a very enjoyable temple stay.
The Courtyard by Marriott is very well located being just opposite from the Namdaemun Market and close to many restaurants and bars. It is also reasonably close to public transport and you could walk to Seoul Station if you did not have a lot of luggage. I believe the bus stop for the airport express is close by too.
Rooms are spacious and well-appointed and the bed is firm and comfortable.
If breakfast in included, you will find a very wide range of food to suit both visitors and locals.
Staff are polite, helpful, and efficient.

Very lovely hotel and very accommodating staff, the location is very good, close to myeongdong market. The bus is right outside as well as the metro If you need to use public transport. If you have a car it's also not bad as there is underground parking. Breakfast is good but I had the luxury of using the executive lounge. Not sure how much it is for breakfast so please make sure to find out.

modern, hip, new. smack in the middle of the old city namdamun with a charm. lobby is in the 2nd floor and concierge in the first floor which was somewhat different. although the hotel didn't have any c stores of Its own, it is close to convenience stores including 7 eleven and cu, that Also was a no problem.

my room had an amazing view of the N tower which was a definite plus!

This is, by far, the nicest Courtyard I've ever visited. It rivals most Marriott hotels stateside and offers a concierge lounge that offers breakfast, dinner and happy hour 7 days a week. It's a fantastic value.

Chic, contemporary property just minutes from Seoul Station and near the heart of the old downtown. It's less than 2 years old, still looks and feels brand new. Friendly and helpful staff, well appointed rooms with terrific views of the city, decent executive lounge. I really appreciated the free shuttle service to the train station the day of depature. Only minor gripes were the water in the shower and faucet was never more than lukewarm, and the tiny fitness center. Otherwise a very pleasant and restful stay after a grueling 14 hour flight, will definitely visit again.

Hotel is literally right across Namdaemun Market and two bus stops away from Seoul Station. My hotel room was spacious and clean. They had all the amenities I could ever ask for in the room ready for me to ensure I had all my needs met. I really appreciated that. USB ports are above the bedside tables so you can charge your electronics without worrying about getting a transformer as well. 5/5, best Marriott experience so far!

The executive floor Lounge is very similar to the one at Times Square. The rooms are relatively large, but none of them have carpet. The rooms have a very dark feel. It's actually rather depressing, unfortunately. The hotel is located very centrally. There is a huge market across the street. And, of course, you are also one block away from myeongdong, the very Lively and energetic neighborhood where all of the Chinese people go. It's very close to the Chinese Embassy.

A very nice place to visit. The staff were great courteous and very helpful. I enjoyed the concierge amenities and a great view.
Lots of surrounding shopping areas and transit bto get around. Buses, subway, as well as taxi services were at hand. I look forward to returning.

staying here for 5 days training and was great. Located near to tourism spot, namdaemun market, myoengdong and restaurants, enabled me to visit so many great places. Of course, the food were great, even they served halal food as we requested. Very convenient!

The staff at the concierge desk should be commended for being extremely efficient and helpful with making restaurant reservations, ordering taxis and booking a van to the airport.

We spent 4 nights here on a winter break from school and work. This is a new hotel for us. The location is great! We found many places to eat and shop nearby. We enjoyed the breakfast in the Executive Lounge and at Momo Café. The staff was very attentive, and we were happy with the level of service provided. We plan to stay here on our next visit to Seoul.

I found the executive lounge so large that there was enough apace even on the Christmas day. And the food and alcohol were quite good.
I wish I come back soon.

Hands down hotel with the best shower pressure out of four hotels I stayed during my trip to Korea. I could have back shower massage after long walk exploring the city. Good location and the breakfast buffet has good selection. Too bad our room was facing the construction site so we had to draw the curtain all the time.

Well, as Courtyards go, this one gets 3 stars. For one, there's limited times on room service - never seen that before. And two, there's no pool, which does honestly put a damper on the luxury part of it. The staff however are a very friendly group of people, very sparky, always ready to assist.

Excellent Location. With walking distance to attractions, Namdaemun Market and Myeongdong. The rest of Seoul can be easily accessible by taking the Subway. The nearest Subway Line 1 City Hall Station and Line 4 Hoehyeon. Staff are very professional and warm. Rooms are modern, chic decor. Beds was comfortable. Bath and Shower was awesome, water pressure was great. Overall experience was impressive. Highly Recommended and will definitely stay here again.

One of the best hotels I've stayed at. Great service. Great happy hour. It has all the essentials in the heart of Seoul. The entire staff speaks English, and several other languages.

Great location. Literally across the street from Namdaemun which is filled with shopping and food. And myeongdong is not to far either. Closest stations are City hall and seoul which are about 10-15minute walk. Executive lounge breakfast isn't bad but happy hour/snacks end too early. It all ends by 930p

Great location being a short walk from the subway, Namdaemun market and other public transport. Easy walk to many historical Seoul sites. Staff are very friendly and exceptionally helpful and proactive in making guests feel welcome. I definitely plan to stay here again when I visit Seoul next year.

The staff here was very friendly, amenities were awesome. We had a nice view of Seoul Tower. Bed was very comfortable. Fresh fruit was brought to our room right after we checked in. This was a wonderful experience. We definitely recommend this place and would like to stay here again if ever we back in Seoul.😊

Bad smell comes from the toilet. No room service after mednight till 0630am!! Even for a hot drink so if you are one of those who stay late and thinking to have something forget it

My wife and I had a wonderful experience at the Courtyard Marriott in Namdaemun. Jenny and the staff at the Marriott were extreme helpful and pleasant. They were able to coordinate a strawberry shortcake and chocolate covered strawberries for my wife's surprise birthday celebration, which she absolutely loved! In addition, the hotel is centrally located, making it easy to get to various tourist attractions in Korea.

Great bed, great room, nice bathroom shower and big T.V. A bit of noise from the street. Wonderful service Everyone was so nice. But why did they leave cookies on the table? I didn't eat them. I would have wanted some chocolates. Free shuttle rides in the city to certain places like the station and certain sites but you need to tell the front desk ahead of time. The ride from the airport on THEIR shuttle was just as expensive as the room. Just take one of the 6### limousine buses from the airport . It was about 1.5 hours and the seats are nice.

Great experience! Staff is very friendly and the views are nice from the 20th floor. Namdaemun Market is just across the street and close to most major locations in Gangbuk, most of them within a walking distance.

Well appointed hotel in a convenient location, easy walk to subway. Rooms are nice having everything you need (no desk) nothing fancy but very comfortable/practical. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money hotel.

I have been to many hotels before, but the bed in this place is the best! I should say the bed and the bedding made it such comfortable stay! The only bad thing is, the bed is too good that I don't want to get out of the bed early for my travel plans! We have been delaying our start everyday because no one wants to get out of the bed! I will definitely come back for another comfortable stay in the future! Just one down point is the construction site next door which caused a bit of noise throughout the day.

Hotel is immaculate! All staff is extremely courteous and helpful. I've stayed at several hotels in Seoul, and Courtyard Seoul Namdaemun is my favorite. Its location is also very convenient for military travellers going to Yongsan Garrison.

This is our 1st stay at Marriot Courtyard hotel here. Rooms are reasonable. Staff are helpful and nice. The hotel is new, clean and comfortable. Just opposite Namnaemum Market. Very easy to find food and shop around. We walked to Myeongdong. It will be better if there is a subway station that is much nearer especially when the weather is freezingly cold. Maybe more frequent shuttle service will be great for winter. Thanks for a good comfortable stay in Seoul! Will come back to stay again!

This is my first stay in this hotel and I like it very much. It is located walking distance from the Deoksugung and Gyeongbokgung palaces and at the end we walked to the other too. The rooms are very nice. I like the bed but I miss the working desk and the fact you can see through shower is bit strange (even though you can scroll the window blind over). Overall I would recommend it. The executive lounge on the 22nd floor is very convenient and has a nice view.

A lot of places just walking distance. They also have shuttle that can take you to main palaces if you don't feel like walking. We loved this hotel.
