Clean well appointed restaurant with attractive architecture and decor. Views over the Saskatchewan River are very attractive. Server was prompt, helpful, and frequent, though the food took longer than expected for a mostly empty restaurant at 7:30am on a Saturday. Omelette was mostly well done, though the eggs a bit overcooked. Juice and fruit were fresh.

From start to finish my stay at the bessborough has been fantastic. It's a beautiful building inside and out. Every interaction we had with the front desk was lovely, the staff were very helpful for suggestions on things to do while in town. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The only grievance I have with this hotel was the elevators, they are a little slow but in spite of this, it was an amazing stay.

It is definitely a historical landmark in Saskatoon. The building is big and unique so easy to find. location is good too. The only reason I cannot give 5stars is I saw ants few times while I stayed. Luckily I have not seen them near bed, but close to TV. For somebody it would not be a big deal, but it wasn't happy experience. Otherwise, staffs were helpful, bar was nice too.

This is the nicest hotel I've stayed at in Saskatoon. The rooms are very nice with a fancy feel to them. The view of downtown or the river from your room is also very nice. The bed was comfortable and the curtains blocked lots of light. I attended a wedding here and the banquet halls were awesome with nice classic detailing on the woodwork and the food was great. The pool, hot tub and sauna were quite nice during a previous visit. The spa at the hotel gave a great couple's massage. The service was good and staff friendly. Overall, this is a very nice and historic hotel in the middle of downtown Saskatoon on the river. I would definitely recommend staying here if downtown is near where you need to be in the city.

Spectacular. Grand old hotel, fabulously located. Amazing rooms, decor, ambience and views. I honestly don't know why you'd stay at any other hotel in Saskatoon if you had the choice. Excellent facilities, dining, and very friendly staff. Don't miss it!

Nice building in nice location near the river. Hotel personnel was very helpful. It’s a short walk to Midtown Plaza, the closest shopping mall.
Breakfast and snacks in the lounge were very good. You see that the hotel is a little dated in certain spots. We liked the saltwater pool. Only point of criticism goes to the cleaning staff who did not remove the predecessor’s pizza leftovers from the fridge.

Stayed one night in a river view room. The view was amazing! The room and hotel and staff were all too notch. I ordered room service for breakfast and the meal was also excellent. Had an overall great experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

This is a fantastic location in Saskatoon and a historic building. A great way to experience the downtown core and close to the university. Some challenges with older infrastructure are apparent perhaps most in the bathrooms. Overall great place.

I had a river view room which was excellent. The housekeeping service was outstanding doing little things such as leaving notes thanking me for my stay. I ate in the lounge and my steak was prepared exactly as I would expect. Great stay.

I stayed on business. This is an older hotel, but very well maintained. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Internet is free and performed well. There is a $15/day parking charge. The pool looked good but I did not use it. The exercise room is very good: treadmill, bike and elliptical machines, weights, all well maintained. Complimentary water and fresh fruit in the exercise room is a nice touch.

This is a great historic hotel located in a prime location in downtown Saskatoon. The views from this hotel are spectacular. The staff were very friendly at check-in. The rooms are all newly renovated and there are many places to charge your phone or other electronic devices. The rates are very reasonable given the class of this hotel. I definitely recommend this place.

We live in Saskatoon but had always wanted to stay a night here because it is so iconic. We had a great time, the building is old, but it has been well renovated over the years, our room and bathroom was very nice. We also went to the pool and tried out the steam room and sauna. We had a very enjoyable time here.

Very little to complain about here. Stayed there a week for a work related thing.

Cleanliness was on point and the beds were comfortable, which are the two main things I personally care about.

Beyond that, the room had some nice amenities for those wanting to get work done, such as a sizable desk and ability to hook up your laptop to the TV nearby. They included all cables necessary though some in my room were damaged.

I'd have to nitpick in order to say something negative. My room was pretty noisy, both from neighbouring rooms and the lobby/street 2 floors below. They do offer complimentary earplugs though so meh.

This is a beautiful hotel. However attention to details has been lost. Room was barely cleaned when I returned. Bed was thrown together and she left dirty towels in the room despite my throwing them in tub. Bathroom plumbing and fittings need upgrading. It’s an old building. Front staff needs to be taught some basic customer service skills. Priority is customers not friends and work mates. I called front desk a few times and there was no answer each time, gave up.

I recently visited the historic Delta Bessbourgh and was fascinated with all of the legendary legacy of this building. The bellhop, Dylan, was so gracious to take my group on a tour of the hotel which was so intriguing and educational. Kudos to the hotel for hiring this engaging man and most grateful for his time to show us around.

Was looking forward to staying here but was sorely disappointed. It is way overpriced for what it is, no benefits of staying here, no breakfast no 24/7 coffee in lobby like most other hotels. There is no insulation in the rooms so cold air can be felt coming from exterior walls from 3 feet away and you can hear people in the rooms adjacent to you leaving you with no privacy. Everything is dated and not in a charming way as you may expect but more so in a gross motel way. If you want to stay somewhere nice for the price I would say stay at the James or the Sheraton across the street, they outclass this place in everyway possible. The only good things about this hotel are it's location, staff, and it's grand stature on the outside.

Stayed at Delta Bessborough in Saskatoon while in town for work. It's a wonderful hotel with very friendly staff. Room was clean, beds comfortable and the view is fantastic! Prices are a bit on the higher side of things but you definitely get what you pay for.

The beds and pillows were not the best.

Have attended many Christmas parties at this location and the food is always been great. This last time however, our table was one of the last to be ushered to the buffet table and by the time we arrived some of the main course dishes were no longer present on the buffet setting. If a character look is what you're going for this is the place for you. Without the natural lighting of daylight hours the interior is not as well lit as more modern facilities are. If you're attending a function here don't be late as parking can be a challenge. Staying at this location has its benefits due to its close proximity to the downtown core. Just a few things nearby are the Farmers Market, Art Gallery, Ukrainian Museum and shopping mall or you can enjoy a scenic view along the banks of the South Saskatchewan River.

Wow the customer service here is amazing. My mom, my son and I stayed here and I have never received such amazing service in my life. From the Spa Michelle, Kim & Kelsey were fantastic to the Garden Court Café April and Roberta always greeted us first thing and made sure my son got to sit so he could see the pool. Our Housekeeper Veronika provided amazing service as well to cleaning our room always with a smile and positive attitude. My son who is 1 and a half made sure to give every individual who assisted us over the weekend a hug.

Thank you Bessborough staff for your phenomenal service we will definitely stay there again.

The Bessbourough is not an average Hotel. It's designed to an extent which makes it considerably unique. From the Queens' Room, rooms created to meet a uniquely Victorian era.
There isn't one wall, chair, or other amenities that one stands in awe as a first-time guest. The entire staff are that of an obvious hand picked choice. Where service and customer service take on international mannerisms yet reflecting Saskatchewan and for that matter Canada.
It's not a cliche to state that it's a gem of what often is seen as the "Castle Hotel". Once entering and upon leaving I would believe several customers look forward to their returning.

Was at Rock the River in Saskatoon Saskatchewan Canada. It is a 3 day Canadian Classic Rock'n Roll Festival held at Delta Bessborough Hotel Gardens on the west side of the South Saskatchewan River in the heart of downtown Saskatoon. The Hotel is magnificent and beautiful, built in 1928 in the design of a ancient Bavarian castle. Numerous Prime Ministers and Queen Elizabeth herself has stayed in the hotel when the visit the City of Saskatoon. So one could say the staff knows how to treat you like a World Leader and the rooms are fit for a Queen.

Good food if you're looking for a fun and fancy night out. Make sure you leave enough time to enjoy as the service at Samurai is not meant to be fast. Great entertainment for friends and family. Price is about $30 for dinner meal. Worth? Totally.

The customer service is always great for the most part. The location is incredible. Beds are comfy, room clean, and well decorated. The restaurants are good, although somewhat pricey compared to the multitude of other comparable restaurants in the vicinity.
It would be five stars if the restaurants weren't so pricey, as well if you didn't have to pay $15/day for parking, and because on my last stay I specifically reserved a river view room and was given one with no view of the riverfront whatsoever. Yes they did fix it and put me in a new room, but not before arguing as to why it was classified river view...perhaps with some sort of mirror setup.
All in all a really nice property.

I didn't actually go into the hotel. I was attending the Saskatoon Jazz Festival outside in the Bessborough Garden where I saw Amanda Marshall. Venue was great. Didn't get there early enough so our view was hindered by a big tree. Lots of spectators were hanging off the fence to view the concert. Not a lot of security around.

Beautiful old hotel. Such unique character in every corner. The rooms are small but neat. The hvac in the room is really loud and never really cooled the room so I can see it getting quite not during the day. Otherwise such a beautiful place and a beautiful river view. Beautiful grounds too. Friendly and helpful staff. I would stay here again.

Mother's Day Brunch - Delta Bessborough May 14 2017. Many thanks for the wonderful brunch. The meal was outstanding and the service was great.

We had a vegetarian in our group and the thought put into making sure this group was accommodated was appreciated. She usually is provided a limited choices for options and then what food is provided is not well done but your staff went well beyond themselves. I am finding more and more of her age group ( 18 years old) and the younger ones are going vegetarian and your facility put thought into what worked for everyone. They even made a note of what was glutton free which was nice to see as well.

Great service. As you approach the main entrance there are staff there to open the door for you saying welcome to Bessborough. Reception Desk is right there as you enter the hotel. I do not readily give 5 Stars, but ... What a great experience ... From check in to check out - super efficient, friendly service in a beautiful hotel on the Saskatchewan River.

As i entered my room i was greeted with two personal, handwritten notes from the team ... A great touch!

My room had a beautiful view of the river and was very comfortable, quiet, spacious and well appointed.

Service in the bar area was fantastic, friendly and efficient. The Club lounge was well laid out and had a good variety of snacks and drinks ... Once again I received very personal treatment!

The only problem was my stay was too short - two days was not enough!

Thank you to the Delta Marriott Team!

I stayed overnight to attend a conference the next morning. The hotel is clean and the beds are comfortable. Comfortable stay in fine looking rooms.

Pros:
- Comfy beds
- Clean
- Prestigious look
- Classical design

Cons:
- Sound insulation is weak.
- Very chilly by the windows in winter time (which is completely understandable due to the fact that this is one of the oldest hotels in town.)
- Wooden structure vs. Cement structure means you can hear the folks on the floor above if they tend to make some noise.
- Slow wifi

I went in to reserve a room for my wedding night and came upon some snags. 2 weeks away from the new year and they couldn't input reservations for anything but the current year (which seemed a little silly). And when some little girls came in looking to use a phone, the receptionist couldn't help because there are rules against it. Besides that it is a beautiful building and I can't wait to finally reserve the room and spend the night!

Beautiful historic hotel, very friendly staff, great views, excellent pool facilities compared to most hotels. Within walking distance of a mall. One complaint, the lighting in the Adam Ballroom is not sufficient, there was a stage set up between two wall sconces which made no sense. At the company Christmas party it was annoyingly difficult to see. Everyone on stage was backlit, and the room is fairly dim to begin with.

Amazing location facing downtown Saskatoon. Within walking distance to anything you desire. We stayed in the 5th floor overlooking the river. Small rooms but the older style building and amazing stone work make up for it. Excellent mattresses and bathrooms. Pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room where fun as well. Only thing I couldn't change was the way to get to the pool is through the front lobby. For some that could be uncomfortable during busy hours.

10

Luxurious hotel room, with friendly but not overly insistent staff. When we checked in, our children were treated with a small package of toys: a nice way to end a long trip on the road. Valet parking is welcome, as there's understandably not much room on Spadina for unloading bags. The hotel is situated in the heart of the downtown, right on the park with picturesque trails. If I was to quibble about anything, it would be the finicky wifi, which not only disconnected regularly, but also seemed to aggressively filter traffic. Good luck uploading video content on that connection! But if you're coming to this hotel, you should just enjoy the area then come back to feel pampered in your comfortable bed.

A railroad hotel built in the early 1900's. The hotel has been through multiple renovations but still maintains the class and charm of an old railroad style hotel.
There is a huge garden in the back that hosts multiple events in both summer and winter. The Bessborough Gardens is one of the main venues for the Saskatchewan Jazz festival.

I was sooooo impressed with this hotel. It is absolutely stunning. Delta rarely disappoint. This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The beds are super comfortable and I loved the decor in the room. The staff could have been a bit friendlier. The hotel is extremely quiet and you don't hear your neighbours.
