- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

Let me first say the staff was amazing and the only reason I didn't give this a one star review. However, I expected much more from a property associated with the Hilton name. During my stay i encountered several issues such as no TV service in the room and ridiculously poor wifi. Two of my light fixtures didn't work and the desk chair was broken. This all sums up my overall experience at the property of general disregard and disrepair.

I travel extensively for business and have over 180 nights this year with a competitor chain, so I consider myself someone who has reasonable expectations based the type of property and what to expect - I could not have been more disappointed.

Free hot cookies upon check-in, what could be better? Staff has been very nice and helpful. Lobby has cool Memphis related historical decor. Rooms are spacious, perhaps a bit rough around the edges, but still very nice. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. Would recommend.

We went to the Double Tree to drop off our friends items in their room for their wedding night. The front desk staff was SO sweet and helpful. The entire hotel was nice and the room was lovely. We we're even kind of loud walking to the room and no one complained.

The location of this hotel is great. Walking distance to Beale Street and all the fun. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. The shower head was even awesome. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

Staff were lovely but hotel needing a bit of TLC as the rooms are looking a bit tired. They did say they are due for investment so I'm sure it'll be lovely once the refurb is complete. Beds where comfortable and the room was clean so all in all a pleasant stay.

My stay was from Monday though Friday, first thing I loved was the famous cookies they have at the reception, they have a tgi Fridays in there and it was very convenient to go grab a meal or a few drinks , which I did. The rooms are very classy and are not missing a thing a flat-screen with cable, ac, bathtub, the only thing maybe missing was a mini fridge, I didn't get to use it but there was a pool at the second floor. Loved my stay.

The room and staff were very nice, but I only gave 3 stars for the parking and breakfast situation. Valet parking at the hotel is $26/daily (I find that expensive). Breakfast is through a restaurant in the hotel, so it's half buffet and half waited. I found it confusing and frustrating. Some of the food was buffet style, but waffles and omelettes needed to be delivered. Utensils and drinks also needed to be delivered, so even if you had food you couldn't start eating. They also seemed to be short-staffed. Definitely do not plan to have breakfast there if you are in a rush/semi-rush.

Excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner from on site TGI Fridays.
Parking for checking in and out is very small. So either check in very early or arrive very late. Parking garage is over a block away. Normal refrigerator and microwave in room does not apply here.
Triple A baseball team-the Redbirds- play across the street. Five blocks South is the famous Beale Street.
All staff have been very nice.

Pros: The location is super convenient. Lobby is pretty and the beds are very comfortable. The room (paint/doors especially) is dated, and ceiling tiles look like they're falling apart. There was a hair on the shower wall when we arrived. I didn't complain thinking mistakes happen and it would get taken care of with room service that next day, but it didn't. So, not great, although everything else did look clean. Would stay here again for the location but would also try something else.

This hotel wasn't bad. I booked it for guests that were coming into town. However, the valet attendants were horrible. They had cars parked blocking the drive-through area, keeping usfrom pulling through. I asked the attendant to please move a car so that we would be able to pull through. He refused and instructed me to instead back out into oncoming traffic in a busy street. Upon going inside and asking for a manager, he seemed completely unphased and we still had to back out into oncoming traffic. Later that night as we were dropping off an elderly lady and her daughter, they had to walk from the street because the drive through was once again blocked. It doesn't seem like as much of an ordeal, but asking a lady over 90 years old to walk that far when it isn't necessary is cruel and completely uncaring. The situation was ridiculous to say the least and I was completely appalled by their (lack of) service.

Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was a little tight and dated. Great location for Beale Street, FedEx forum and Auto Zone Park. We’re already booked to stay there again on our next trip.

The valet guys were great. Check in was a little hectic but everyone was taken care of efficiently. Our room was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the buffet breakfast at Fridays which we received with our honors membership. Convenient location. Most importantly I want to give a Big Shout out to Kimberly at the front desk and housekeeping. After we left on Sunday and got over an hour down the interstate I realized I did not have my diamond earrings in my ears. I called and spoke with Kimberly. She had housekeeping check where I told her I thought they would be which housekeeping did locate them and Kimberly called me back to give me the good news. Words nor 5 stars can truly express my gratitude for these ladies honesty. Thank You for keeping my birthday/mothers day a great day!

When we got there, our check in was 4 pm and we needed to have our luggage held as our flight came in at 9 am. We asked up front and they sent us to their valet and he told us in a hasty manner "no".

We ended up having to leave our items in our rental car and making a trip out later. Possibly not a big deal but when you are expecting and paying for a Hilton experience, this is really disappointing.

At the same time, we stayed for 3 nights and there were a few front desk staff that were GREAT!

The rooms were old and run down. It seemed like the toilet seat hadn't ever been replaced and the shower floor was incredibly slippery with no mat.

Our lock on our room didnt work most of the time, we would have to keep trying for what seemed like 20+ times to get it to work.

Of course, the location is great. Tons of stuff accessible within a few blocks.

Several wedding guests were staying at this hotel for an off site wedding. The staff was very courteous, and the rooms were nice. Excellent location. Parking is always a problem in any downtown location, the hotel offers valet, but it can be slow of they're busy. There is no other parking associated with the hotel, but public parking is available nearby.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating but a 4pm check-in time is poor policy. The room was clean and for that I'm thankful but it needed more light. I had every light on in the room and still had to use my cell-phone light to see in my bag. It wasn't worth a 200$ single night stay. The room felt like it was worth half that.

The breakfast at Fridays was excellent. Waitstaff was fun, professional, accommodating and a joy to be around.
The phone did not work in our room and was not fixed after telling the front desk. There were rust spots in ceiling shower. No trash cans in the bathroom.
But we stayed one night at the Peabody for twice as much money and it was the smallest bedroom and bathroom I have seen in a hotel since I was in Spain. We would stay at Doubletree again.

The staff at this hotel were so friendly and helpful from the valet to the front desk to housekeeping and everyone in between that I saw. It is so nice to be treated well when traveling. My room was clean, might could’ve been a little cleaner and it would be nice if there had been refrigerator in the room. Overall I recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again if in Memphis.

Customer service leaves a little to be desired, and my work group had issues checking in where they didn't have payment in file that they had confirmed was on file over the phone previously. I like the policy if a free warm cookie when checking in. It also always took a long time to find a valet person to get our vehicles in or out. There is sometimes nice live piano music in the lobby.

The customer service is exceptional which is why I gave this hotel 2 stars but my room seemed rather run down. There aren't many convenient plugs to charge electronics and the fixtures seem old and outdated. The lobby is very inviting and valet and front desk staff were really friendly, fast and accommodating but I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

Shabby. Badly in need of a renovation. Furnishings and appointments look like they were tired in the 1990's.

There was almost always a long and painfully slow moving line at the front desk. Very nice staff - extremely helpful - especially housekeeping and valet, but this hotel is badly understaffed.

Front vestibule is very small and always crowded with cars. Makes it tricky to get in or out of quickly, despite the best efforts of the valets.

Overall, this hotel is not up to the usual Doubletree standards for quality.

Great location. Staff was super friendly. The room I was in was a bit dated and worn. Also the rooms street-side are noisy on the weekend. The bed was extremely comfortable, but the comforter was old and looked dirty.

Old rooms in need of updates... Half of the hotel is really old (the side by the Peabody)... Lobby was really cold, Fridays is okay, staff are very friendly. Location is great, but there are many other better choices in the area... Unless you're getting a good deal, I'd avoid this hotel until they do some room and common area renovations... In fact, I think the red carpet in the hallways was from years ago when this property was a Marriott... Just really old and tired.

I give the staff an A+. Everyone from the valet service, to the front desk, to the janitorial staff were very kind and welcoming. The room was very clean and comfortable. My only complaint is that there is no mini fridge. I always like to bring a few sodas and water to keep cold in our room. Do not stay here if you need complete silence to sleep. The road gets loud with vehicles and music, and because the rooms overlook the lobby, the sound is amplified and very loud at night. Also, don't bother with the $12.95 breakfast buffet. It's just a glorified continental breakfast. Go to the Arcade instead. All in all it is a good place to stay, and cheaper than other hotels nearby.

The Double Tree downtown Memphis is a nice property in an older building downtown which gives it a great feel. The location puts you within waking distance of Beale Street and the rest of the great offerings in Memphis. For the runners, out the front door of the hotel and taking a left puts you a few blocks from the riverfront, where pathways line great scenery.

This hotel, while nice, it's not quite up to normal Hilton standards. The blinds in our room we're broken and there was a hole in the ceiling in the entryway. Also the toilet paper and Kleenex were like sandpaper. The mattress was quite hard as well. However stay were nice and helpful. The nose level was reasonable. I would stay here again but perhaps in a different room.

We were impressed from the moment that we walked in by the friendliness of the staff. Every single person that we encountered over our two day stay went out of their way to take care of anything we needed. This hotel is within walking distance of so many things downtown, too. We also loved the TGI Friday's breakfast buffet. That was convenient, and very good.

The staff was truly exceptional. I was impressed with how friendly everyone was. I read a few reviews here about how people said that they were impressed with the staff and so I doubted it; but they were 100% on mark.
The downtown location was perfect for experiencing the nightlife of Beale Street.

It's fine... But the Peabody is the same price! If I didn't need this stay to count towards my status, I would have stayed in the Peabody. The breakfast is not good. The beds are acceptable. The service is OK. The staff is very friendly. This property is an airline crew overnight contractor. Which means that everything is acceptable, but not amazing. And they cut a deep discount on the rooms for the airline crew in order to fill up the property... Because everything is just acceptable.

The staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating. Most venues are within walking distance including Beale Street (and all that goes with it) and Fed Ex Forum. The Red Birds stadium is directly across the street on one side and the Peabody Hotel duck walk is on another.

The rooms and lobby are nice. A good location, right across from the stadium and the Peabody. They have a guy in the lobby that the plays the piano a few hours everyday. The pool is a bit small, that's really my only complaint about the venue. There was a family reunion going on the weekend of stayed so it was a bit wild but it wasn't a bother once I was in the room. The staff was very friendly.

The best thing about this hotel are the employees and the location! It is a nice hotel, but needs some updating. The employees are outstanding! My oldest daughter has food allergies and couldn't eat the delicious chocolate chip walnut cookies they give you upon check in. The lady took her into the little snack store and told her she could pick out something she wasn't allergic too for free. We will definitely be going back to this hotel.

I didn't stay there overnight but I used the pool. The pool seemed pretty cloudy and wasn't very deep (only 4.5 feet in the middle). There weren'tany clean towels at the pool. The inside of the hotel was nice though, and the rooms were an acceptable size. They weren't the biggest I've ever seen. The restaurant inside the hotel is just a chain restaurant so the food isn't really any count.

Great location directly across the street from Memphis reds stadium and only about two blocks from Beale Street. Felt safe during our stay here. Valet parking is $25 a day which is an extra incurred expense that I didn't quite care for, but at the same time it was more convenient than arranging our own parking in a very crowded downtown on memorial weekend. I recommend paying for the DoubleTree breakfast at least once if you're not a diamond member. The omelet station is awesome and the gentleman cooking our omelets was very nice, friendly, and professional.

The hotel is super clean and everyone on the staff is so kind and accommodating. The valet was convenient and we had multiple people waiting to assist us with our luggage to take to our room when we arrived. The walking distance to Beale and the river front is beyond compare. We enjoyed our stay. Just a short walk to Beale St and other surrounding attractions. Staff was accommodating and friendly. The room was a little small for 4 adults bit we spent very little time in the room. I suggest using the valet parking as there is only metered parking close to the hotel. It was worth the extra for us. Overall we had a good experience.

Hotel in a great location. The rooms were a little dated but overall the facilities are nice. There is some awkward furniture in the rooms that make the layout and use strange like the desk that was up against the second bed pretty much so moving the chair was difficult. I'd recommend for its proximity to Beal St and other attractions.

My fiance and I had a lovely time here. I especially enjoyed the cookies when I arrived. I loved all the windows we had in our suite, I was able to see downtown and have plenty of sunlight! The staff were all very friendly and accommodating.

Came to my room with old room service left right outside the door- so the room couldn't have been cleaned very well. Went down to the desk for a new room, but no luck and no apology. Go back up to the room and do a once over around the room and discovered 2 cockroaches wandering around on the walls. Finally got a new (dingy) room, still no apology, but at least a card for 2 free drinks at the bar. I usually love Doubletrees but I will be making a complaint to my company not to stay here again.

Nice place. Large clean rooms. The bathroom, looked like it was renovated very reciently, but done very poorly... Tiles were not even, missing grout, and looked like they were about to fall off the wall.
The location is right next to another hotel (with the ducks). there is metered parking on the street (free after 6:00pm), the hotel has vale parking, and there is also a public parking lot a block away ($11.00 from 8:00am to 12:00am)

This hotel does NOT deserve the low ratings it has gotten. The staff is AMAZING! Very polite, friendly, and helpful. I was not really exited about having to valet park my brand new car but the staff did and excellent job with that as well. This is a good hotel in a nice location downtown, but it is on need of some work to bring it back to the Doubletree standard. It was a great place to stay. Just don't come see LSU play, LSU will disappoint. First class service and hospitality and a great atmosphere in downtown Memphis.

Room was OK. The bathroom was literally falling apart. Service however was wonderful.

The location is excellent! Close to Beal street and plenty of Memphis BBQ joints. The rooms are clean and comfortable with plenty of accessible outlets

Stayed on a Friday and Saturday so the rate was higher. Pieces of the ceiling in our bathroom fell down, which also caused water to splash all over the shower and toilet. The ceiling was discolored and looked like it had been patched many times. They didn't charge me for the second day, which was nice. Great location, definitely not worth the price.

Shower was partly broken/backed up, toilet had trouble flushing, got bit by something that made my leg swell and pool was pretty dirty. Dirty is the overarching word to describe this hotel (more like a motel). Two stars because staff is very nice and only saving grace here. And additional star because location is great and there's a TGI Fridays in lobby. Bring bug spray, don't expect too much (and definitely don't come here to swim!) and it's an okay place. Breakfast buffet is pretty decent too.
