- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

A nice well designed hotel with super helpful staff. Not in the thick of things but very convenient if you're used to the Lisbon Metro system. Walking distance from Marques de Pombal, the heart of the city, and a short metro/bus/taxi/ Uber ride to the best of Lisbon

Promised one priced, charged another. Nice enough location, not as near the center as you assume. Service is nice up front, however not promised what you are told. If you put the do not disturb sign on the door, they will still go inside. Was very disappointed with the experience. It is very clean, strange matrix design, nice at the front desk.

I really wanted to give it 5 Stars...However there were a few things that kept me from doing that. There are many reviews on here that talk about the convenient location, modern upgrade to it, etc. The two places it fell short had to do with the room and a tour arranged by the hotel. With respect to the room, the street sounds were very loud (we could even hear people talking, coughing as they walked on the sidewalk) which disturbed us at night; secondly the bathroom light (and shade controls) were on the outside of the bathroom so in the evening if someone needed to use the bathroom, they would turn on the light then open the door which then bathed the whole room in light...and then again when they got out of the bathroom; might need to rethink that solution. One other thing that may be of interest to sports fans...the rooms do not get SportTV (sort of like ESPN or SkySports) so you have to go to the bar to watch WorldCup Soccer, Formula 1, etc. With regards to the tour, the hotel staff were very nice in reaching out to me before we checked in to see if they could help with anything... something for the room, restaurant reservations, tour of Sintra, etc. Since our time in Lisbon was short, we agreed to a 1/2 day tour of Sintra at a reasonable price for our family of 4; the reality was that it was really just transportation.... the driver took us to the Palace ticketing booth and told us to get (and pay for) our tickets go on the tour and he'd meet us back in that spot in 2 hours. The lines were so long, that we didn't even get to go inside the Palace after spending 49euros on them....and the driver told us after "oh, yes, Monday's are very busy here because the museums are closed". Not a happy camper after spending for a tour just to get transport, buying tickets that couldn't be refunded. When I explained to the hotel front desk, they did give me a 50% credit on the tour cost which I do appreciate...the hotel does need to, imho, be more clear on what to expect for the "tours" they offered. I would return to this hotel...overall the staff were fantastic, nice, courteous, helpful, always smiling. At the breakfast buffet they were always ready to help (with the waffle maker, milk for coffee, new plates, etc.), housekeeping with extra towels if needed, etc. and the front desk for trying to help with some compensation for the tour that wasn't a tour as most of us think of one. I would ask for a room away from the streets though.

Excelente and attentive staff all round, good breakfast selection, interesting but not functional decor. Some items in the room requiring a deep cleaning, i.e. TV remote, telephone, lamps, otherwise the room and bedding is clean.

Nice place. They meet you with chocolate cookies :) We got big room with orange tree view. The breakfast was very tasty. But they have problems with soundproofing (heard neighbours all the time) and cooker hood (fish smell from the restaurant even on the 3-rd floor)

Comfy rooms, great breakfast. We arrived late in the evening and the front desk staff were very friendly, have us warm cookies and brought us to where the elevators to our room were. Free water, tea and coffee in the room.

This hotel could not have been better. It was a bit of a walk (25 min) to the downtown area but the walk was worth it to see what the city has to offer. The hotel rooms are unique and while I could have done without the disco lights in the tub in the middle of the floor (it was hard to get under the shower head to get wet) the room had everything we needed including a view. The breakfast was the highlight for me with custom eggs, pastries, croissants, fruit, sparkling wine, meats, and fresh waffles. The best though are the custard tarts that Lisboa is famous for. I don't know if they make them in house or bring them in but they are almost as good as getting them from Pasteis de Belém. Do yourself a favor, exchange your currency here at no fee and make time for breakfast.
Also, I found the staff to be incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Fantastic for directions, recommendations, and conversations.

Staff very professional, helpfull and friendly. Breakfast plenty and varied, with loads of options. The only negative part in my opinion is the black walls, carpets, wardrobes, too much. I agree there is a modern design, but could be more light colours and illumination. People's eyesight would be thankful.

Abbastanza comodo come location, situato a pochi minuti a piedi dalla fermata Saldanha (metro gialla) e da Anjos (metro verde). Zona molto tranquilla, camere moderne dotste di tutti i comfort anche se non proprio nello standard Hilton. Personale presente, gentile e servizievole.

Very basic hotel as Hilton facilities. No proper business centre; no swimming pool, no zacuzi, no steam room or spa.
However all the colleagues are genuinely helpful and humble. One of the best hotel I have stayed with limited facilities colleagues are confident and polite to handle the situation. Breakfast and front office colleagues are just excellent!

Excellent hotel. The whole thing about the black decoration is, honestly, not a concern - seems a bit too picky for me to pay attention to that. Staff is super helpful. Bar food is great though expensive (hotel prices, normal). Rooms are amazing, clean, spacious. Awesome bathtub. Can't complain at all.

The double tree hotel by hilton is a simple hotel. The staff is friendly but needs more discipline. For example the housekeeping forgot to make our room and the breakfast service is way too slow. But the breakfast is very good. The room service also is not professional. The bathroom is nearly public domain because there is only a big window between room and bath. Not my style.
The double tree hotel "by hilton" is nothing special or luxury, its more the example of a price above value standard hotel...

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a weekend of leisure in Lisbon. We were very happy with the friendly staff and cleanliness of the hotel. The location is 30mins north of most of the city's mainstay tourist attractions with easy public transport links around. The decor is a little "moody", lots of black and glass. Breakfast was standard hotel fare but the accompanying acoustic guitarist on the Saturday morning was very cool.

I've run conferences at this event for several years, friendly staff, cookie upon arrival. Conference facilities are trendy, underground, and reasonably priced. Internet holds up well, we live stream to the internet with no problems. Copes with 100+ geeks each with 3+ devices using the WiFi.

From the time we entered Lisbon we were impressed. On checking into The DoubleTree Hotel in 2015 I found myself totally fascinated by the decor. Its dark, pretty black dark which is different. The hospitability is exceptional, which I found through out Lisbon. If you not a person for dark decor I won't recommend this hotel however if you like unique you should try this.

Friendly and helpful staff! My friend and I needed to change our travel plans last-minute and ended up at the hotel at midnight hoping to check in two days before our scheduled booking. The hotel staff were wonderful! We had an awful travel day (lost baggage, delayed flights) and they did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel itself is ultra-modern which looks great in photos but some elements are really impractical. The rooms were spacious and clean. We very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel. The only downside was the amount we spent in Uber's to get to the tourist sites as the hotel was a bit far from most things (about a 10-15 minute drive).

This hotel was a good value. The staff was very courteous, the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

For our trip, these weren't negatives, just oddities:
a) The hallways are straight out of the Matrix, with the room numbers on the floor no less. Interesting touch !
b) The bathtub with see through (both ways) glass into the living / sleeping area ???!!!!???? Note: being able to see a hotel companion taking a shower from the main part of the hotel room wasn't a big deal for us, but may be a problem for others. Also, this was our experience, perhaps all rooms are not like this. I suggest you contact Hotel management if you think this will be an issue for you.
c) Also, the toilet was in a separate room within the bathroom, however, the main door to the bathroom also served as the door for the separate room for the toilet. This may not provide as much privacy as some people would like. We also were unable to find a switch to illuminate the room with the toilet, so it was almost pitch black in there with the door closed.

Otherwise, it was a great place to stay. There are restaurants and supermarkets nearby. There are several Metro stations close by. The closest is only a couple of minutes away on foot.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lisbon, including Neo, Morpheus, Trinity, etc. etc.

P.S. A/C is ICE COLD. Seriously, it will freeze you out, if you set it to 20 degrees C (lowest setting) !

Really nice hotel. The layout of the hallway to the rooms looks like matrix which gets everyone talking in the elevator haha and some rooms are indeed for couples as the shower section of the bathroom is see-through from outside of the bathroom so your partner can actually watch you shower (never seen anything like it before). Overall a nice stay and always love the warm cookies they give you at reception :)

We stayed here in July. The hotel is in a very convenient location near the tube. The reception staff were extremely helpful and the hotel experience overall was good although there were some minor irritations with the room. We had to get down on hands and knees to find and be able to use the plug socket to charge our devices and even then my partner needed me to help. The maid did not leave milk for the tea and/or coffee. The floor very clearly had not been cleaned and when we reported this, nothing was done. The shower tap was so stiff my partner could not turn it on. The tap in the bathroom sink is of a ludicrous design, so small that it is difficult to turn on. Sometimes, I wonder where these designers get their ideas from. I don't really care whether things are ultra chic or trendy in appearance, provided they just WORK! What good is a trendy-looking tap if you can't turn it on? Function is so much more important than form. The breakfast room was very small and difficult to move around if other guests or staff were moving between the tables at the same time. The toaster was difficult to operate and when my toast eventually started going up in smoke even the staff didn't know what to do to get it out. These things are all quite minor but they added up to make the stay feel definitely less than perfect.

Overnight stay before leaving Lisbon. Hotel is in a great central location, in a quiet area near 2 metro stations. Contemporary decoration (dark), nice lobby, beautiful outdoor seating area with a huge waterfall (wow), and a very nicely decorated restaurant. The room decoration was sparse but I liked it very much; love minimalism! Bed was very comfortable, and the towels were luxurious. All the staff I interacted during my stay were super friendly, very professional and attentive. I gave 4 starts because there were 2 problems I noticed in the room. First, the single strip of carpet in the room and the floor didn't look clean. Secondly, 2 of the lights in the bathroom weren't working. Because both the shower and bathroom doors were black glass, I had to shower and pee in the dark. Not a deal breaker, but not expected in a 4 star hotel. Some people mentioned the very dark corridors and rooms, but I liked it. Bedroom doors from the outside are frameless, with the brass room numbers inbedded in the carpet; made me think of the movie Blade Runner. Overall I will stay there again, especially for the great staff they have.

I stayed in this hotel for 7 days 6 nights in early 2017 with a wonderful memory. Delicious breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, clean room, comfortable bed. Location is good, less than $5 to downtown Lisbon by Uber, shopping center and nice restaurants are within 5 min. walk. The thing impressed me the most is their manager, Sara. I had a Hhonor point issue and she went out of her way to help me to resolve the issue 2 months after our stay (and I am from USA). Incredible! Highly recommended!

Typical Double Tree - little bit fancy design. Rooms have acceptable space. Very nice bathroom design. All working well and clean. Very helpful and friendly staff. Nice: live guitar music during breakfast. 5 minutes to the subway and quite central location, well suited to explore the town.

This is a great hotel. The service was wonderful, check-in was a smooth and easy process (and the cookie wad delicious).
Breakfast was delicious with a great selection.
The room was peculiar, very modern boutique. The bathroom had no door for the toilet and the bathtub/shower is clear. So, this means there is a privacy concern.
The noise level can be a little high as we could hear upstairs and neighbors on the side.

Location is pretty good and about a 9-10 minute walk to the nearest metro.

Overall positive experience.

Hotel is nice enough, and is modern and clean. However, it's very much style over function.

The long, all-black corridors are oppressive, and the all-glass bathrooms are a strange design. The door didn't really close properly, and there's a window between the bedroom and bathroom that means you can be seen in the shower - and on the toilet - from the bedroom.

Don't book this hotel if you're sharing a room with someone you don't want to be *very* intimate with.

Clean and nice Hotel with very good food and breakfast. I was there for a three days conference and staying in the room was a good experience. The three stars go for the black corridors with the room numbers on the floor. That was the definition of depression. Also the conference hall was painted black in the basement. 😕 Why black guys? It's impressive but ....depressive.

It's located near some shopping centres and a metro station. However, it's not within walking distance of some of the key tourists spots. So if you're planning on sightseeing usually best to take the metro or taxi.

Rooms are all along one corridor painted black with room numbers printed on the floor.

Location was good, near a mall and close enough to the center. The hotel was neat and clean. The corridors are all painted black, and doors are paited black and you can't clearly see what's door and what's wall. Room numbers are not on the door but on the floor, next to the door. I guess that would be "modern design" but not sure :)
The room was well furnished, and balanced although a bit too much on this modern design. View was ok for a second floor. Several international channels available on tv
