My family has always loved this hotel. We stay at an Embassy (Omaha or Lincoln) 3-4 times a year, mostly just for leisure to let our kids swim and the fact that we have always had a great experience. The rooms are spacious and the beds are so comfy. Breakfast is AMAZING and the pool is big. This time we had a much different experience. We reserved a room on Expedia to take the kids swimming. We drove 2 hours here to find out the pool was closed (this was not on the hotel website either). We were told by the front desk (who was extremely sweet) that the neighboring hotel offered to let their guests swim there...we just needed to have them call the shuttle. We were bummed, but it was something. It was late, so we didn't swim that night. The next morning at 8am we called the front desk to get the shuttle so we could swim. We were told they would call. We were in our suits and downstairs in 10 minutes. We were then told they called the hotel shuttle but no one answered. They decided to call the neighboring hotel to see if they could pick us up. After waiting 5 minutes, we were told we could not swim there for liability purposes. My kids (8 and 10) were devastated. I then told the front desk that was why we stayed there, and that we were told the night before we could swim there. They only offered to call our room if the pool was ready. I explained we had to check out in 3 hours, we couldn't wait around for that. We walked away and they said nothing. We were told on our check in they were doing renovations on the pool, although we walked by several times and saw nothing going on. The pool looked ready to swim in and full of water. I am very disappointed.

I liked the hotel. It's in the perfect spot in Omaha. We had a blast in Old Market! However, we waited in line for 2 hours just to get checked into our room. It's easier to board a plane than it was to check into the room. The rooms weren't ready until after 5(check in time is 4). I'm not sure what happened this weekend, as the people we were with, said it's never been like that.
It's a nice hotel, and I'd most likely stay there again. I just hope it's not like that every weekend.

Really nice place. The rooms in the hotel could use some upgrading, but the common areas are awesome. The hotel is at an Excellent location. Very friendly and resourceful staff. Shopping, restaurants and even cigars lounge literally across the street from hotel, but the place is not noisy. Centre center and welcome center is in walking distance. The merchants are super friendly and I enjoyed trying the variety of restaurants each meal all at reasonable prices!

Embassy Suites by Marketplace has a wonderful staff. When we arrived we were quickly greeted with a smile and warm welcome from the valet team. They quickly assisted me with my family opening doors for everyone and helping them from the car, even my 5 and 6 yr olds. They waited patiently as I checked in. When I returned they had a cart waiting for me to assist with my luggage. From the valet staff to the housekeeping service, everyone was very professional, friendly and helpful.
Also this location is wonderful for a quick getaway, with the family. It is within walking distance to unique restaurants and shops.

We had the BEST time. This was the most beautiful hotel we had ever stayed in. The abiance of the hotel, level of service, and room luxuries made this a wonderful experience. The staff was extremely helpful, courteous, and friendly, especially the valets John and Diego. They were very professional and considerate of us. Thank you for such an unforgettable and meaningful experience staying at this hotel. P.S.- please have John teach Diego to drive a stick shift. 😃

The embassy suites has a rather exotic atmosphere due to the impressive vegetation and water features. The central corridor feels like a tropical jungle lined with balconies of rooms. It's easy to forget you're in Nebraska, despite being in a great location within Omaha. Old market is only a short walk from the front door, and the Missouri River is close by as well. The restaurant had some great tasting food, and the staff were exceedingly professional. That being said the room I stayed in was incredibly humid, it felt like everything was sticky because the air was so damp.

The staff here is AMAZING. The location is perfect. This hotel is okay. This is an older hotel, so some things need updating. However, the pool area was really nice. There is a decently sized pool for hotels, a hot tub, and a sauna! The breakfast was really nice. You can get freshly made pancakes (that are huge) and amazing omelette. Overall a good stay.

Send really nice. Interior is very nice. Had a steam running through it, lots of levels and areas to hang out in. Rooms are all suits so they are spacious and nice. Good location to old market (across the street).

Location is great, right across the street from the main downtown area. Close to the bridge over to Iowa and a nice walking/running path. Rooms were clean. Staff was courteous especially during the free happy hour in the bar area when they were getting slammed.

Stayed there from 6/8 to 6/10. Booked 2 rooms -- one for my family and another for my parents. Had a wonderful stay in the hotel, great location, loved happy hour and the shuttle. However, billing has been a continued problem. Multiple calls were made to them over the next few weeks (because the problem would still be there). Eventually a manager said she would take care of it and wipe all the charges for both rooms. They did wipe the charges on my parents room, but not mine. I am still satisfied with this as I was never looking for a free room. I just did not wish to be billed for 3 rooms (my parents room twice and my room) on my card instead of 1. I have upgraded my rating from 3 to 4 stars.

This has got to be one of the best hotels that I have ever visited. They have a nice pool, nice breakfast, and nice hotel rooms. They have very nice staff there. The next time I go to Omaha I am definitely going to stay in Embassy. Embassy Suites is truly an Embassy!

I was here for a professional conference. The hotel staff has been friendly, the rooms were spacious and clean, and the hotel is in a great area. The atrium is quite attractive if slightly dated in decor.

The happy hour is an added bonus.

The location is fairly central to a good amount of dining and bars. Conference-wise, the rooms are reasonable but not excellent as a rented space. There are better venues in larger cities, but as a location central to staff across the nation this is above average.

If you are a fan of the early '90s you will love a lot of things about this hotel! For a hotel that hasn't been updated since the first gulf war it is clean and in decent shape. Breakfast ends at 9am sharp, so there will be no sleeping in during your stay. The people were friendly, but the 90's were a friendlier time. Even though they probably won't tell you, there is a 30 day cancellation policy a few times a year, so hopefully your plans don't change or it will cost you the full $265/night plus fees.

I have stayed at multiple Embassy Suites and this was the least impressive so far. The room I was in was dated. Also found a bandana in the corner of the room. Free drinks in the evening was good. Staff were nice. I liked the fish that are throughout the main floor.

Was there for a convention. They did a decent job. The place was clean. The staff was nice. If you have been to a convention center before this one will be very familiar. Everything is as you would expect. No surprises.

I'll start by saying the hotel staff were very friendly, they offer shuttle service within 3 miles, they have continental breakfast, and also light snacks and drinks from 5:30-7:30. The place has a gorgeous interior with plants throughout, a pool, a jacuzzi, a sauna, and an exercise room. The rooms are very spacious. They're a little dated though that really doesn't bother me so much. The only reason this place didn't get 5 stars from me is because of the beds... oh my were they horrible! They are as hard as bricks and very lumpy, we asked the front desk if they had any other rooms that had better beds and they said that all the rooms were this way. They may not have replaced these things in many years, I hope others can get over the sleeping situation and enjoy their stay! The other thing is that they charge you 15.00 a day to park your own vehicle, so I would recommend going with the 21.00 valet parking. I wasn't expecting an additional fee for parking but it is what it is! Aside from the beds themselves, this place was absolutely amazing... but our group was a bit cranky after the first night sleep and it did take a little from the outings when everyone was complaining about their backs hurting and not getting a good night sleep.

Absolutely great hotel, yes the furnishing is a little dated but its clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Our room was on the third floor right above the pool and as it was busy, we could hear alot of noise in our room. We talked to a receptionist about it and they sent security to quiet them down, within 10 minutes the noise levels improved, but I recommend asking for a room not near the pool area of you can (floor 3 from room 337 to 342). We also ate at the restaurant in the hotel, prices are high but our food was excellent (I had the tenderloin steak, it was absolutely perfect) and our waiter, Rex, was courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. The car valet service was great too, took the stress out of trying to find parking in a busy area of town. I highly recommend staying here, I know I will be again!

Its a great place and excellent service. The valets are awesome, but you could say I'm bias because I work as a valet all you want but the valet manager and my co workers are a great team even when we're short staffed... That does not stop the us for providing great service.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Location is great. Those are the reasons for the 2 stars. I had a very hard time getting past the lack of cleanliness in our room and the very dated decor and appearance throughout. Both beds had bedskirts with something on them and needed to be removed and washed - something on one of them was a nasty brown color. The carpet in our room was loose and moved as we walked on it. The room felt unclean. I don't think the decor had been updated since the 80s. Once you get past the initial part of the lobby, you walk into decor that has plants all on the walls, water features throughout, and very dated furniture and carpet with colors and patterns that took me back to my grandmother's house when I was 10. It was stepping back into time. There is no excuse to have this type of decor in a hotel of this price at this location in Omaha. The exterior of the hotel doesn't give any hints as to what it is like inside. Despite the great location and friendly staff, I will not stay here again. We were very disappointed.

Very beautiful hotel. Accommodating staff makes you feel at home. The many waterfalls (streams) throughout make a very serene setting. The rooms are immaculately clean and well appointed. Cleaning staff is very friendly and thorough.
The food is excellent and has much variety. You will be surprised at how reasonable the prices are for such good food. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel itself was beautiful. The room however was okay...not too bad but not the best. The room was a fair size and had a nice rub in it with a living room space but the carpered floors had tears in it. Other than that, it was pretty nice...especially the location; it was close to downtown

Clean and well put together property. Indoor stream brings a level of class. Spacious Cafe and bar. Breakfast included. FREE DRINKS during happy hour. The room was clean and spacious. Very much worth the price. Great location, great staff, loved the happy hour, loved the breakfast. Was a little loud during happy hour, some of the other guests were getting a little crazy, especially in the pool area. They must have forgotten that it was a kid friendly area. Keep an eye on your kids.

This is a generally nice hotel in the Old Market of Omaha. The hotel is showing its age a bit, and which detracts slightly from the experience. The extras are particularly expensive, such as the "premium" upgrade which offers very little for the additional expense. Their on demand entertainment is also outrageous - $18 for a childrens movie and you only get to view it once. The complimentary drinks and cooked-to-order breakfast are nice, but the quality of the food is exactly what you'd expect from any hotel. It's a nice place for it's location, but it needs some better attention to detail to be a great hotel.

Really cool interior of this hotel. Great place to hang out - especially in December. Their Christmas decorations are great. The convention space is really great as well. Professional, inviting, and with almost immediate access to all that Omaha has to offer. Highly recommend.

The best thing this Embassy has going for it is the location. It is located across the street from the Old Market area. It is an easy walk to many nice restaurants, bars, and quaint shops. The hotel itself is a nice hotel but a little dated. It has a nice ambience with the many plants and water features with fish. If you are wanting a more updated hotel, then you should probably check out the Embassy at La Vista next to Cabela's. But you will give up the downtown charm.

Clean, friendly staff but difficult to get concrete information. Great breakfast and evening drink and snack service. Fantastic location, right at the old market. Biggest problem was the temperature of the common areas; the building was kept incredibly cold, so much so that people were wearing parkas and scarves inside. The room thermostats can be adjusted, but definitely bring a sweater for breakfast or the evening drink reception.

This is a fantastic hotel. I have stayed in Omaha before but never at Embassy Suites. The hotel is beautifully decorated with a large open atrium in the center. The rooms are super quiet and spacious. To top it off, this is the best hotel breakfast I have ever had (and rivals some of the better breakfast places that I like). I will certainly come back and would be happy to recommend this place to friends and colleagues!

Was a great place to stay. I don't think there was anything bad during our 3 night stay. It was pretty busy during all of the activities and during the breakfast. Had lots of fun and glad the location was so good. Breakfast was good and I like that they have cooks on duty to make people omelets and pancakes, really make you feel like they care. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable too.

Great location, easy to access by car. Literally across the street from the Old Market. Some have complained about the decor, don't be concerned. The hotel is finished in a craftsman style and apparently some don't get it. No complaints, I would absolutely stay here again.

Large rooms, their business suite is wonderful and includes all that is needed for a small meeting. Their breakfast selection is one of the best I have seen, and their lobby ambiance is beautiful, I absolutely Love the Koi ponds. heir workout center is very clean and well stocked, and their pool/spa met my needs. Every time I am in the area I always stay here. The only hotel worth staying at in order to be right in the heart of downtown

Location is good but that's about it. For the price I've stayed in much nicer places across the country with more on-site amenities. The hotel is extremely dated throughout. The valet staff made us come to them at their podium for service. The front desk was short and un-inviting. We won't be back.

This is probably my favorite hotel I've ever been to. It's a very nice hotel but I don't feel "judged" when I walk around in a t-shirt and shorts. There's an indoor pool, hot tub and fitness center. The free breakfast is a huge buffet. It has lots of options - fruit, yogurt, toast, pastries, bagels, several kinds of juice and a pop fountain, as well as made to order pancakes, omelettes, and a bunch of other stuff. There's a daily, 2-hour "evening reception" that has free drinks (alcoholic and non) and snacks. There's a small bar area in the atrium and the hotel is in the Old Market, downtown. You can easily walk to and from the restaurants, bars, stores, etc. in the Old Market. It's a lovely hotel. The staff is friendly and very accommodating.

All employees I encountered were very pleasant. The room and hotel was clean and well maintained. My only complaint is that the beds were a little small. The free breakfast had a made to order option, but the line was very long so I opted for the self serve buffet. There were lots of options and the food was pretty good.

The location was great. There are so many places within walking distance. I had a few issues in the beginning (clogged tube and housekeeping left my door open all day). I don't think it's worth the price. The hotel could use upgrades and a good deep cleaning. My Clorox wipes came in handy big time.

Overall it's been good. Everything is clean, haven't found anything broken, staff have been friendly, foods is good, and lobby is beautiful,(lots of trees, water and fish). The only negative is the pillows suck, but then again most hotel pillows suck, so you can't really hold that against them. I would definitely come back, I would just bring my own pillows next time.

First time staying here and let me start off by saying it was a beautiful hotel when you walk in. The pond and the greenery were amazing! The front desk clerks and workers in general were fantastic..... but when my fiance (who is recently paralyzed) showed up he was treated badly by the valet. He was getting questioned liked he shouldn't park in the front of the building to be let out. We are already experiencing a trauma but to be made to feel like you have done something wrong doesn't make things better! I advised the manager of the situation and although he did express sympathy it didn't really feel like he gave a dam! We will not be visiting this hotel again!!

The location is great within walking distance to the Omaha old market. Love the indoor creek and waterfall plus the overall ambiance. Complimentary happy hour for two hours is great as well. Rooms are spacious and clean, well furnished but dated. Friendly staff. Parking is the only real complaint as it is uncovered and remote.

Location is amazing. Restaurants, bars and shopping within walking distance. Parking is not good, valet service is available for $18 per day or you can self park for $12 per day. We chose self park and were told that we had to go to the back side of the hotel and then cross a street, with a median, to get back to the hotel. The hotel itself was nice, there is a restaurant, bar, pool, hot tub, sauna and a gym to use. There are three elevators but they are all in the same spot so you had to walk quite a distance if your room happened to be on the opposite side of the hotel, you'll have to see pictures to understand. Now for my room, it was pretty clean for how dated it was. Pretty sure the carpet, couch, desk and tables were from the 1980's. The shower had no water pressure, I took a shower as soon as I got back home because I still felt dirty, the shower curtain was torn and there was a hairdryer in a dirty bag on the counter. I honestly thought someone had left their bag in the room because I couldn't believe that the hotel would leave such a nasty bag on the counter. The towels were very nice, they were big and fluffy. The bed was very comfortable, soft but firm with nice and clean bedding.

The staff are friendly and very helpful, we had forgotten toothbrushes at home and they gave us new ones and toothpaste as well. The interior of the building has a nice water feature that leads to a small lagoon with fish in it. Kids can feed the fish if they'd like. I enjoyed the social event with snacks and the bar, I've never seen a hotel do that. They also have an ok breakfast in the morning, the line was long for the custom omelets so I went with just the scrambled ones. The scrambled eggs didn't taste like they were real egg. The rooms are spacious and clean. The only other complaint is the parking is across the street on the south side of the building. Not the most convenient place.

The rooms are spacious, and the beds are comfortable. There is a good gym with free weights, 3 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, and a bike. The fee breakfast had many options. The shower had excellent pressure and a lot of spray options on the shower head. There is no free parking. Non-valet parking is $12 and it is an open lot across the street. Valet parking is $18.

Amazing hotel. Great location in market district. Breakfast is awesome and made to order. Happy hour with drink and snacks is perfect ending. Rooms are very big and clean.

Nice amenities and love the water features throughout the lobby. Bar & restaurant by the bubbling water is so relaxing when there's not a crowd. 4 stars only because there were signs in our room of it being an older hotel (a couple fixtures in the room were starting to sag) but enjoyed the stay and loved the friendliness of all the staff. Would recommend to friends.

I've never been disappointed with an Embassy Suites, and this place was no exception. It's beautiful, everyone is friendly and professional, and service is excellent. I received a text message before I arrived asking if there was anything that I needed and there was a note with some candy in my room informing me that I was guest of the day. Apparently being guest if the day gets you free basket parking, which I think is normally pretty pricey. Overall, it was another great stay.

An excellent experience. Very clean, the staff is friendly, and rooms are comfortable. The entrance leads into a well-lit lobby. The rooms are complete with refrigerator, microwave, sink, full bathroom, comfortable beds, pull-out sofa, two TVs, and dining table with chairs. Happy Hour is 5:30-7:30 and made-to-order breakfast is complementary everyday. All-around very welcoming and comfortable.

I was here for a work trip for the weekend and I absolutely love this place. Would definitely stay here again. It was within walking distance of a ton of bars and restaurants. The inside and rooms are slightly outdated but still a beautiful place.

Super hotel!
We stayed on the top floor so the view down the inside to the bottom was very impressive. Every floor had flowers and greenery on the railings. The tropical layout on the bottom with the stream and falls looked great. We enjoyed walking the paths and watching the fish. The staff even allowed the children to feed the fish one time. This was a highlight for them.
The elevators with glass on 3 sides was impressive as well.
Another neat thing, there was a free shuttle to the zoo!
Can't wait to come back.

Suite was huge with 2 rooms, plenty of seating and space to have luggage/bags. Theur happy hour is great to get some appetizers and free drinks before going out on the town. The historical Old Market is right across the street from the hotel. The buffet-style might be the crowning jewel of the entire stay. Best out of any hotel, period.

This is a standard Embassy Suites which isn't a standard hotel chain. The bar & dining area were great. I liked how they were on multiple levels and had the different fish ponds flowing and waterfalling all the way. The free fish food was a great plus for the kids!

I attended a wedding. It was awesome! Great location. I was really impressed by the turnover from ceremony to reception.

Old old old. Spacious rooms, but dated. The staff had no clue what was going on with my corporate paid travel and insisted I pay personally. Gave away my prepaid King bed room and substituted a double room with a grand view of a parking lot. Piss poor and no attempt to make amends. Avoid unless you must be right next to Old Market area.

Very nice but could use an update. Loved the ponds and fish and pool. Good breakfast and evening reception. Nice rooms and service.

Great hotel with nice amenities such as free made to order breakfast and happy hour socials. The furniture is outdated and the WiFi is not great or free in the rooms. I would prefer free WiFi over extra amenities. Conference space is nice and the hotel is overall very clean.

We arrived at the hotel at 12:30 am due to flight delays. We were happily greeted and given our key. Breakfast was satisfying. We stayed two nights and were happy with the services we used.

Stayed during 4th of July Weekend 2015. Nice atmosphere and reception was good. Breakfast needed more staff to help keep up with clearing tables and keeping dishes etc... stocked! Rooms were not updated and bathrooms were dirty and moldy. Grout and around toilets were nasty! My wife and I always stay at Embassy Suites wear-ever we go. This was the worst room at an Embassy Suites ever. Disappointing considering the location. So much potential.

I recently worked with the Embassy Suites in the Old Market while booking a block of hotel rooms for my wedding. They were easy to deal with, got us a very fair room rate (considering that these are SUITES, so the living room's couch is an actual pullout bed, great for traveling families!), and answered all my questions via email very promptly. The best thing about this hotel is location, and because I was traveling from Phoenix and most of my guests were coming from out of state, it being walking distance from the Old Market and most of my wedding venues was an absolute plus. They offer free shuttle transportation to and from the airport as well as to almost any location in Omaha (within reason). They even organized a shuttle service to and from the Joslyn Museum for my wedding. I would absolutely work with them in the future and would recommend them to any bride looking to have an Old Market wedding.
