The Embassy is one of the more affordable luxurious hotels I've been to. The rooms are very nice, and from higher floors you have a pretty nice view. The complimentary breakfast was good too. The hot food is cooked on demand. Very accommodating staff.

The venue was well lit and spacious. The only two issues were the AC couldn't keep up with the 2000 people in the huge room and the tech seemed slow because we had four screens running at once. The facilities were well manicured on the outside and clean and new on the inside.

The outside of the hotel is nice but the suite we stayed in was not clean. Dirty carpet/floors, towels, fridge did not cool, A/C didn't work properly. There were not valet reps waiting to park your vehicle or to assist, I had to call to get someone to come outside. The conference portion of the hotel is nice. Unfortunately, I will not recommend this hotel to my friends and family. I expected better from Hilton Embassy Suites.

Very friendly staff, clean, beautiful facilities, and great location. Kid friendly even with the staff. In the area visiting family. Would recommend to try this place. Would definitely come back again.

Rooms were clean and spacious enough for our needs. The hot tub could've been a little hotter but it was perfectly fine for the current weather. The breakfast was good but not as much variety as I would have expected compared to other similarly sized Embassy Suites I've been to. Overall I would still recommend this hotel over the other local offerings.

Hotel and Conference Center well laid out. Rooms spacious, clean and we'll kept. Check in online feature works well. Check out provides for receiving statement by email. Convention Center connected to Hotel and provides a short indoor access back and forth. Free hot breakfast provided.

Stayed here while in Texas for work. The staff was friendly and the hotel was very clean. Rooms were the perfect size and there was never an issue. They had a free happy hour in the lobby after work which was super convenient, and the breakfast was good with tons of options.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good our stay was at this hotel. The room was spacious and clean and breakfast included omelets cooked to order. The only minor niggle I had was that the walls weren't very soundproof.

Wasn't thrilled with the experience. The A/C didn't work very well so it was pretty muggy and warm in the room when I though it was set to 66 degrees. I also reserved two queen beds and was given a king with a pull out couch so that my friend and I had to switch between staying on the pull out and the bed. But the glass elevator was cool.

We had a great time here. Came for a school event and was very pleased. The staff was very friendly, and the hotel rooms were clean. The lobby area was also nice and clean. Parking was easy, and finding the hotel was a breeze. We will for sure stay here again in the future.

Staff here was very good, directed us to sit in the restaurant which didn't open for a while. was able to get a drink at the bar and have out meeting. will definitely come back here to rent a room for the weekend next time I come to San Marcos. very pleasant atmosphere and beautiful building

A very nice and clean hotel, well organized and most everything is marked so u can find it easily, they have a bar and restaurant in house. They do charge a little more than they should and they charge u 4 breakfast which I think that it should be included in your stay. I believe your paying for the looks of the place more than your room but the rooms r nice, you can get 2 town within 10 min.

Stayed here on a business trip and it was great. The room was spacious and clean. It was a very quiet hotel which was perfect for me to get some rest. The breakfast buffet was awesome along with the made to order omelets. I needed a late checkout and they said I could stay until 2:00! That’s unheard of without having to pay extra. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I’ll definitely stay here again.

We love staying at these hotels. The rooms have always been clean with lots of room, a microwave, 2 TVs, and a fridge. We love the happy hour and free breakfast. The omelette station is always good! The staff is very friendly. On this last visit, my room did not have a hair dryer. I called the front desk and thought I might have to wait 30 min or more. He was there in less than 10 min. Good job! We will continue to stay in the Embassy Suites when we can.

Embassy Suites is one of my favorite locations to stay in any area. They are especially great for business stays since, you can separate a meeting are from your sleeping area. I love the made to order breakfast in the morning. The San Marcos location is very conveniently located just off the interstate making it easy to get to the Texas State Campus and just down the road to one of the best outlet malls in the country. There is a convention center attached, though not big, is a nice size for a company gathering. If you want outdoor activities, San Marcos is the outdoor play ground of Texas. The Embassy Suites San Marcos is a great convenient way to freshen up after a day of play.

The suite was very nice and the bed was wonderful. I had a handicapped suite and it was well-suited for a handicapped person, especially the bathroom. The concierge was very knowledgeable about San Marcos. The catered food for our conference was delicious, we would stuff ourselves at lunch and save the rest for dinner. The in-house Starbucks was great, their coffee was a dollar cheaper than a regular Starbucks. The free breakfast at the hotel was very tasty. Overall I had a very good time over 4 days at this hotel.

I am a local Realtor from New Braunfels TX, I was invited to the Realtor appreciation Christmas Party 2017. It was held in 3 Event rooms, great table set up, provided wooden dancefloor, casino tables with service, catered food along the hallways, very nice serving set up. Friendly staff. Another event took place in the lobby/restaurant, this location can hold multiple events. As a guest to an event I can recommend this location.

My husband and I really enjoyed our weekend escape. Shopping is one exit away, got all my Christmas shopping done. Got a facial at the spa on site, completely amazing and relaxing. Cooper's, Gruene Hall, and Mozie's are a short drive away. The staff is gracious and helpful. A great place to escape, 3 hours from Houston.

Hotel is nice and conveniently located. Room was also fine. Bathroom had gobs of long curly black hair all over the floor. Obviously they didn't vacuum or even visually inspect their work. Kinda gross.

7

Clean and pleasant hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is convenient to I-35 and the outlet malls. The free breakfast overall was good, but I wish the waffles were self-serve rather than having to wait 30 minutes in line along with people wanting omelets.

Very nice atmosphere. I stay here for every business trip I make into San Marcos, and I have never had a single complaint about the rooms, or the staff. Free Drink Happy hour in the lounge is a major bonus after a day of meetings. They have plenty of snacks (not just bar nuts) and the staff makes you feel very welcomed. The breakfast each morning is also a very nice touch. The coffee is sub par, but the made to order omelets and French toast makes up for it.

I will never forget the expert customer service my husband and I received from Sofia Night Audit Agent. We walked through the front door after my husband begged the hospital discharge him in time to drive to Austin from South Padre Island. He was still in his hospital gown (practically shirtless) no shoes and very disoriented. Sofia treated us with respect and did not judge us. To me the first eye contact and facial expressions can tell if someone is genuine. Sofia not only had patience to check us in but continued to keep and eye out along with Security to make sure my husband felt indipend and that is so important to him. Great family facility and we will always visit.

The hotel itself is beautiful, and the staff and very kind and professional but we had a few issues! We were in a premium room on the 9th floor and our suite smelled funny. The rocky river grille was great and fast service with excellent food! And beds were comfortable but the breakfast was not great like we were expecting, the eggs were watery and the potatoes were cold the fruit looked and tasted like it was from the day before! I have experienced better but I am giving it four stars because of service and dinner!

I really like this hotel. I've been visiting once a year for the last four years for conferences, and have found the quality of everything to be consistently excellent. The rooms are lovely; every room is a suite and includes a fridge, microwave and coffee maker stocked with tea and coffee. Bathrooms are great. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are always clean. The breakfast buffet is also fabulous; it's definitely worth a little extra time to wait in line for a made-to-order omelette! There's a wide variety of other foods including yogurt, fruit, toast, bagels, etc. In terms of being a conference venue, this hotel also rates highly. The meeting rooms and amenities are good; they put on great mid-morning and afternoon snacks and coffee, and the ballroom is a great space for larger sessions. Food and service are excellent. In short, I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this hotel and highly recommend it :)

Was there this past weekend for our son's World Series. Our bathroom was not properly cleaned. I had to grab some wipes and clean around the toilet bowl. Our pull out/sleep sofa bed was also never made. However, the daily breakfast was good, happy hour was OK, nothing to brag about. Close to baseball field and lots of places to eat.

Rooms comfortable, but only one set of elevators. There were 150 in our group and that made getting in and out, in a timely fashion, difficult at times. Also, pushing my wheelchair across those thick carpets was difficult.

So many wonderful things about this hotel. The rooms are spacious and the divided floor plan makes for family style accommodation. The convention staff is quick and helpful. The front desk is very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and quick to help. Vanessa the restaurant manager was helpful and tried her very best. The chef needs to be booted. Slowest service consistently and the food was terrible. The "flatbread" was made out of pie crust, the queso dip was grainy (no clue how he accomplished that), and just about all of our orders came out incorrect. So as long as you avoid the River Grille (the cafe was awesome though) you'll enjoy your stay.

I only used the convention center facility. Very nice, clean, and user friendly. Lunch was provided for approximately 200 attendees. The food was fantastic. There were two buffet setups with lines access from both sides, but only one tiny drink station, which we had to stand in line for. I hope to have the opportunity to attend another function there. Oh yeah, the coffee was off the hook!

The stay at the hotel was great. The beds were very comfortable. I did encounter an issue when checking in. I was informed that the premium room I selected to pay extra for was not available. I feel it should have been sat aside if I agreed to pay extra. I had called three days before my stay to confirm the "premium" room. The man at check in said he would take care of what I wanted since I did not get the premium buy that did not happen. The breakfast and managers special was great. I have visited this hotel many times and this was the first time I had seen so many staff members checking on the guests. The staff was very friendly. The hotel was having the carpet replaced but every attempt to make the customer feel welcomed was made.

I am a fan of Embassy Suites. My favorita is in Rosales in Bogotá Colombia. The Good. Spacious, Clean open atrium design of many. Not a bad breakfast, and The guys making the omelettes, were terrific The room was spacious, two TVs etc. However, the three things that should be the hallmark of a great hotel were not 1. Where did the beds come from. Rarely in a Hotel of this caliber have I slept so poorly 2. They use a water restrictor and the water pressure in the shower was weak 3. The towels were big, but they were not very soft and I used them to sand down a couple of pianos. So they were good for something

Of course the Hotel is clean, it is nice and everything. It does mention the fact that you must pay for WiFi, but having to pay for WiFi at a hotel like an Embassy Suites is ridiculous. Paying $200 for a room and not giving me free WiFi, but I could go pay half the price at other hotels with WiFi included. Very disappointed in this.

Heading back to DFW from New Braunfels, we had car trouble and ended up coasting into the parking lot of this hotel at about 1am on a sunday night. Asked for help pushing the car up their driveway, the front desk said no problem, but after waiting 30 minutes, some helpful passersby threw in and we were finally able to get the car out of the driveway. Not starting off great. We check in, front desk was very accommodating, even gave us a lower rate because of the situation. Hotel and rooms were very clean. Breakfast the next day was very good, however, once breakfast was over (10am), if you want more coffee, expect to pay $$$ for it at the in-hotel coffee bar. Not cool. I'm able to work remote via laptop. Just need a decent internet connection. In room internet was extra $$, even Wifi. This was just ludicrous. Called the front desk about it. Yep, costs extra. But you can get Free wifi in the lobby or coffee bar. What? You mean that lobby that's literally right outside the room door of +every single room+? Hmmm.... Oooooo kay. Found the Lobby's router, but no joy, same "pay for access" page comes up. Tried in the actual lobby and coffee bar. Same thing. Eventually got tired of messing with it and tethered to my phone to check email and pull down some documents. On the other hand, the hotel was accommodating, allowing us to park the dead car right up front till I could get it towed. They also used the shuttle to run me back and forth to the service center for the car, which was very nice. In the end, we were stuck for two days. Spent more than we expected, but that wasn't the hotels fault. And they were very accommodating given the situation. Wasn't thrilled with their WIFI or coffee situation, but I suppose those are lesser things in the grand scheme. There are certainly worse places to get stranded.
