Green Key members are then given guidance on how to "unlock" opportunities to reduce operating costs and environmental impacts - and in turn earn more keys.

The Green Key audit looks at nine major areas of sustainable hotel operations:
• Energy conservation
• Water conservation
• Solid waste management

This hotel was near to the city proper and we always stay here whenever we want special bondings with the family. Their staffs were very friendly, accommodating and hospitable. The hotel itself, the restaurant and their rooms were very clean and comfortable. We love every time we are here! Thanks, guys!

I loved how this hotel's staff made my stay memorable. I know I only stayed there for two days but they never failed to let me enjoy my time there. The accommodation was absolutely great. I personally loved the pool area of the hotel and its diners. I can't say enough good things about my experience and this hotel, but one thing for sure is, I really had a great time when I was there! Thanks! Highly recommended!

My family liked this place so much for they have very accommodating staff and a very relaxing room. They could provide all you wanted to have during the stay. Even my mom said that this is the only hotel that could provide everything and she said that the staff is easy to deal with because of the nice and lovely attitude. Highly recommended place!

We planned our wedding here and the entire staff was BEYOND incredible. They went above and beyond in every aspect. Patricia, the Director of Social Catering, is one of the best event professionals I've ever worked with. I can't recommend this hotel enough for overnight stays and for any sort of event or wedding venue.

We loved our stay in this place. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. This is a perfect place if you really wanted a luxury and affordable hotel. In the end, we spent more time at the property. We enjoyed it so much. The owners were very nice and helpful! I can highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back soon.

Wanted to stay in Miami after a short cruise so booked a couple of nights here. The hotel is nice, obviously; the room superb, and the staff is awesome. Ordered room service for breakfast and it came up warm, fresh and the large coffee was actually a carafe of hot coffee that stayed warm all morning. The hotel was a short taxi ride from the ship, and with plenty to do and see within walking distance. I would definitely recommend to anyone interested in staying around the downtown area.

The Kimpton Epic is a wonderful place to stay. Great customer service. The only thing was my wife and I had to take a cold shower the next morning due to having no hot water. Customer service guy thought it was funny. But, I will definitely stay there again.

5 star in deed. The decor was well put together. Service was very warm and friendly. Wasn't a fan on the circle drive way for drop off and pick up. It was a bit overwhelming.

This is a beautiful hotel right on the bay. They are undergoing renovations at the moment but it has not diminished our experience one bit. The rooms are unusually spacious for a downtown hotel, and the bathrooms are gorgeous! They have complimentary coffee downstairs in the morning and a wine happy hour every day for hotel guests. This was the perfect place to stay before our cruise!

Excellent hotel. The rooms were bigger than expected. Comfortable, added with nice decor and amenities. First-class services at a fair price. Also thankful to the staff for doing their best to make my stay memorable and wonderful. A team really deserved a big ovation.

Gorgeous hotel with a fun view of the city. At night, the buildings light up and it looks incredible. Short Uber ride from South Beach (if that's your thing) and it's super close to SO MANY delicious restaurants. The hotel room itself was modern and comfortable. I enjoyed everything about my stay!

We stayed here for a night and we were so impressed with level of service from every employee in the hotel. We were checked in early, the room was beautiful, the beds comfortable, the shower was amazing. I wish we could have stayed longer. Breakfast is a little pricey but so delicious! The only downfall, we thought, was the service at Zuma which is the restaurant off the lobby. The host was rude but you can walk to other restaurants from this hotel instead. We recommend staying here but for dinner, head somewhere else. Great hotel!

On entering the hotel I was impressed and excited. But the suite was not at at 5 star. Had a few issues but the reception staff were helpful. The room was not cleaned thoroughly as I would expect, especially as I have a crawling baby I was worried about him crawling around on the floor. The food in the hotel was good, enjoyed the restaurant. Probably wouldn't stay here again however.

This hotel is the perfect hotel to stay in downtown Miami....it’s convenient and close to everything and has amazing views of the water!!! If you valet park just know it’s $42 a night so it’s pricey but it expected that staying here....they have two pools to swim and relax and have amazing views overlooking the city!!! I love the rooms how clean they are and it has double sinks, big shower head, a jacuzzi in the bathroom and a balcony overlooking the pool and city!!! Also free WiFi

Very nice Downtown Miami Hotel. Very, very helpful and polite staff. In town for tennis on Key Biscayne so I did not avail myself of all amenities but great location downtown, nice view and equally nice room. Would like to see more extensive in-room dining menu. That being said the somewhat limited menu was good. Excellent timely service!

Friendly staff. Nice hotel with a great pool. Unfortunately the pool was only open in the weekend because of maintenance. Not easy to find that on their website. When maintenance is over they are worth 5 stars.

We stayed at the Epic for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is beautiful; in the heart of downtown Miami right next to the water. The rooms were modern and very clean. The only downsides: traffic, it can be difficult getting in and out of the hotel. Parking, there isn't much street parking and overnight parking is expensive. We would definitely stay here again!

The rooms were nice but the service was terrible. I went to Kuma when I arrived and they said the wait for the sushi bar was 10 minutes. 25 minutes later I left. I then ordered room service and was told 30 minutes. An hour and a half later I called asking where it was told they would call me back. They did not call but sent someone to my room to let me know my food was delivered to a different room. At that point I decided to go to bed. I would not recommend this hotel.

The concierge and the checking personnel were professional and very helpful. The rooms are well designed and the shower meticulously cleaned. Alas, a coffee machine and suppers for the pool, were apparently not standard but the guest services were able to promptly deliver them to our room. Also, add and additional 5-10 minutes to your travel time back to airport as the plaza in front of the main entrance resembles a giant traffic jam.

Even though check-in itself was a nightmare, some our fault but mostly front desk staff, the hotel itself is very nice. Amenities are fantastic and it's sitting in a nice area downtown Miami! Our stay started off rocky but now that we're in, we're relaxing and enjoying ourselves!

Super cool spot. Really nice staff. I'd give it 5 stars but the bed sheets are holding me back. My friend in another room agreed. No breathability, plastic feeling and just not comfortable overall. Other than that, highly recommend this hotel.

Probably one of the better hotels that I've stayed in, ever! And I've stayed in plenty of hotels from cheap all the way to luxurious. I was given a room with a balcony overlooking the pool area, which was pretty awesome. Had I stayed here in the summer, it would have been doubly awesome! The daily rate will obviously reflect the level of luxury that's being offered here by the hotel. One thing that I have to mention, however, is you can forget about early check in. This hotel was so busy that even though I tried to check in early (around noon), they didn't actually have anything ready until the actual check in time (4 pm). They will, however, take your luggage so you don't have to carry them around with you. Valet parking will run you $40+/night. You can try to find an offsite parking lot for cheaper, but typically without in and out privilege. Allow up to 25 minutes for them to get your car - better to call them to retrieve your car before you come down.

It was a really neat place, but I couldn’t imagine it costing what it did. Also when I decide to splurge and get some room service I called in my order and it never came. When I called they had no record of me placing the order and by then I was ready to just go to sleep. It really turned me off from even trying any of the amenities. The next day they did call me to apologize, but they offered me a free breakfast at nearly 10:30 (which is when they stop serving breakfast) and said they’d do anything they could to help, but I had check out in less than two hours. Just wasn’t very impressed.

If I had to summarize my stay at the Kimpton Epic Hotel in one word, I'd simply say, "Epic!" After spending my first couple of nights in Miami Beach staying at the Lorraine Hotel (crappy experience), I spent my last night in Miami staying at the Kimpton Epic Hotel. Yes, it was more than twice as expensive; but you know what? IT WAS WELL WORTH IT! One of the reasons why I was willing to pay more for this hotel is due to the fact that it was almost New Year's Eve and so people were coming into Miami from all over and hotel rates in general just spiked. Another reason is because this is considered a luxury hotel and this is Miami where nothing is cheap. I arrived at the hotel around 11 am on a Friday and traffic was pretty bad at the time: It took me almost 45 minutes to get to the hotel from Hotel Lorraine and it wasn't even that far. But hey, again; this is Miami we're talking about so this was expected. When I checked in, I was informed that they didn't have any room available yet. But they checked me in, took my luggage and also my number so they would be able to text me when my room was ready. Long story short, they actually didn't have my room ready until almost 4 pm. I'm not sure if this is the norm with the hotel or if it was due to the fact that it was almost NYE. But I would recommend AGAINST early check in. And also, if you plan on staying in their lobby, bring a jacket because the AC is freezing in the lobby area. When I got up to my room, however, I was like "whoa!" I've stayed at a lot of hotels: budget, medium range, luxury. I've even stayed in a Marriott Suite before (another 'whoa' moment) so at this point, it's pretty tough to impress me when it comes to hotel rooms. But this room is "whoa!". Check this out: - 55" Samsung Smart TV in the room. - A balcony overlooking the pool (would have been super awesome had I stayed here in the summer). - An opening in the wall between the bedroom and the bathroom so you could soak in the tub and watch the TV (and yes, they have blinds if you need some privacy). - Super comfortable mattress to sleep in (unlike Hotel Lorraine). I actually planned on using more of the amenities being offered by the hotel (gym, wine at the lobby, etc). But you know what I ended up doing? SLEEP. The mattress was so comfortable and I needed the sleep after not being able to sleep well for two nights. I didn't even care to check out the gym or whatever. I just wanted to sleep. ALMOST everything about this hotel is perfect. The only reasons why I'm not giving it a perfect review are (1) no early check-in and (2) not a fan of the valet price and wait time. Your only parking option here is to valet and it will cost you, if I remember correctly, $48 + tax/night. Pretty steep. Would I stay here again? HELL TO THE YES! If you're visiting Miami and you don't mind staying downtown, check this hotel out. You won't regret it.

Epic hotel is one of the most Beautiful hotels inside and out. Got wonderful views of Brickell. It's clean overall. However, the services are very lacking. Although the valet is efficient and professional, the front desk takes an extremely long time to check in as the managers refuse to help out their agents. The executive suite is restocked once a day only.

First off pulling up to the hotel is amazing with exotic cars parked right outside. The bellman are very helpful. The lobby was like a museum or art. The front desk staff where very pleasant. We had a room with a pull out bed, when we pulled out the bed there where no sheets on the bed nor in the closet. There where no garbage bags in the trash bins, we got a text message asking how our room was, we requested garbage bags through the text got a response stating yes they would bring some but never did, had room service come in to provide new towels and still no garbage bags. My over all experience was great it's a beautiful hotel!!

6

Good location, the place passes off as a fancy downtown hotel but too many things didn't work for me. First off, they nickel and dime you on things - parking was $42 per night. I've never heard of having to pay extra to park at a hotel I'm already paying for. A tiny bottle of water was $5. So the room was cheap but it loses value when they jack up the prices on everything else. The coffee cups they have in the lobby leaked. It's pretty to have their logo on the cup but they all leaked. It's an example of how they emphasize form over function. Then the room key didn't work. Several times I had to go to the front desk to have them remagnetized.

I have visited the hotel's lounge as well as their rooftop bar often. The lounge plays good music, its not usually too crowded and I've never had a bad time. The bar by the pool has beautiful views and Friday nights they usually have some sort of live music. Great spot to pregame before a night out or for after work happy hour when they have $5 drinks starting at 5pm.

Modern resort in a very central location. Amazing views and food! We have stayed here numerous times in the last year and it's the only hotel I would recommend. The hotel was beautiful. There was a doorman who opened the door and greated us. Check in was quick. They allowed us to check in early. The room was clean with great service. Great Hotel!!!! Left the beacon south beach and came here and they was great!!!! Loved it EPIC is definitely my home when I come to Miami. Those awesome views. Only thing I could say is be ready for the incidental hold but you get that back after you check out. WILL RECOMMEND FOR ANYONE. THE ROOMS ARE SO BIG AND THE LAYOUT OF THE ROOM IS GREAT. Nice downtown Miami views, spacy, well equipped and clean. Good sleep quality. In the room price add another 100 dollars for breakfast and parking. You pay 42$ per day and you wait at least 15 minutes to get your car! (The longer was 40 minutes). There was an attitude of arrogance from many hotel employees.

It goes without saying that this is a beautiful hotel. It is also a good spot for a business breakfast. Inexpensive it is not but good food and great service make it worthwhile. We ordered an omelette and pancakes with coffee which came to $58. Both were quite good. Great orange juice.

Epic has a great location in Miami and has a very cool vibe. I had a room over looking the Port of Miami as well as Biscayne Blvd. The lobby is very cool and the wine tasting at night is a nice touch. The room was a good size although be careful as the noise from the bar on a Friday drifts up and can be noisy even 10 floors above. The 16th floor bar had a bit of a cheap feel to it and I wouldn't consider it a scene place but there were quite a few people when I was there. One a Friday morning at 7:00 trying to have a cab hailed was impossible as there was no doorman valet front desk person to be found.

This was our second stay in two months at the Epic. Location is great, the waterfront rooms have a beautiful view, and the bar is excellent. It is a quick cab ride from the airport or the cruise terminal. Room was spacious, clean, and well appointed. This will be our go to hotel in Miami. The only negative is the very loud music that comes up from the poolside parties on the weekends. It ends about 11:00 but we won't stay here during a weekend again.

The room service was amazing. My flight was cancelled due to snow storm so had to go back to the hotel. I ordered food and told room service (Vanessa) about my flight situation. She left the room and brought wine and dessert to my room. It was such a beautiful gesture, I loved it. Simple things make you happy and make you stay at same hotel again. Overall great experience.

Can't say much about the hotel itself as I didn't stay the night, but the facility is beautiful. Very modern and clean decor, art in the lobby areas, nice front desk staff. The hotel has a very swanky feel but was not pretentious at all which I was worried about given that I was wearing some extremely casual clothes. What brought me in was that I had a day to kill after a cruise before my flight out of town and I wanted to spend the day soaking up the sun before going back to the cold. I found the Epic on a list of best places to get a pool day pass. They offer a day pass to use the pool area for just $20! The view there on floor 16, right on the water, in the middle of downtown was incredible! Again, service was extremely excellent. And they offer poolside drink and food service. It was a Monday in February so it was not crowded at all.

This is our 5th visit to the Epic and it does not disappoint. The staff is exceptional starting with the top down. The rooms are clean, stylish and inviting. There are two pools. One is cool for swimmers, while the other is heated for us loungers. The pool staff is very accommodating, especially Juan who has been there since our first trip. We always look forward his kindness and professionalism. My only regret is that we are leaving tomorrow. Thank you Epic and all of your peeps for another fabulous stay. Until next time.......

A 4 star hotel with a 4 star rating....simply because they locked me out of the elevator on several occasions. The food served from the hotel kitchen was below average. I threw away the bland chicken soup I ordered because the pasta was under-cooked and the chicken tasted like cardboard. However, this is the party hotel. Great location on the waterfront, first class gym and spa along with relaxing rooms. Private balcony with a view overlooking the Biscayne Bay and downtown Miami.

I've been coming here for 6 years now. It's my favorite hotel. They have an incredible formula here and I believe it mainly has to do with their incredible staff. Both up front and behind the scenes. Very nice hotel. Rooms are very nice. We had a balcony and beautiful view. Pool area and outside bar were pretty. Very popular bar area and restaurant (Zuma). Miscommunication between the lounge there and the hotel staff about the lounge offerings was very frustrating. Apparently the lounge is going through a transition. Other than that, very nice and pretty. And popular!

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked this hotel on there and they had the cheapest rates around... The Epic Hotel is probably one of the best hotels I've stayed at. The service was absolutely amazing. The customer service was fantastic. Pool side is terrific while also enjoying the view of downtown. I will stay here again in the future. Visited Zuma japanese restaurant. A great gastronomic experience. Excellent service and amazing location. The cocktails were awesome too!

The room was very impressive, and great price. The only complaint was the valet took 30 minuets to get my car back, and they weren't that busy

Was an epic time at epic29! Rooms and service were outstanding. A lot of attention to detail. I've stayed At a number of downtown Miami hotels and this one is great. Both Kevin and Rosie were very friendly, accommodating and effective with their job of making sure the stay goes perfect. Highly recommend.

ok while no hotel is perfect this one is not too far off i am a VERY detailed person i see what others don't and i know where to look (due to employment history St.Regis Bal Harbour ,Marriott etc) i have only one complaint and that is the valet dept so lets get that out of the way while polite they are SLOOOOOWWWWW but polite and friendly and I'm gonna give the benefit of the doubt and say that all they guys standing around socializing and checking out the honeys are NOT on the clock but in uniform and highly visible not too far away from the crowd of folks waiting to get their vehicle its just not a good look while we are waiting up to 40 min for our car and yes 40 min now on to the glowing shining brilliant service i have experienced on EVERY LEVEL here my housekeepers ISABEL and DONNA were the 2 i actually spoke 2 and witnessed at work were exceptional and i have worked in the hotel industry for 2 years (it seemed like longer) at the LACK LUSTER perfumed pig that is the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay just a few miles from here (which EXCELS @ employee turnover and not much else) housekeeping is night and day different the EPIC gets it right after 2 yrs of watching it fail its nice to see it done right i even gone so far as to check for employment here.... there are some areas that could be improved but they are NOT in the effort or customer care dept. room service staff ,door people, spa staff , pool staff , i have yet to encounter one single person didn't fit my description and we are here for 3 weeks with 2 rooms 2708 & 2733 i wish i could upload pics of the view and the room interior

This hotel was the best, compared to that Leamington that gave me pure hell. EPIC was/is pure heaven. I wish it had not rained and I will go back there to the EPIC next time we are in town, I will book a room on the 30th floor this time, we was on the 18th and LOVE it!

Excellent. Good location. Pool was nice although full shade by 2:00. Very nice and clean. Great staff. Hard to see how someone could complain. Would certainly return. Free bike rentals too.
