Green Key Eco-Rating Program 4
With more than 1,200 hotels certified in Canada since its inception in the 1990s, the Green Key Eco-Rating Program awards hotels an environmental rating of one to five Green Keys. Green Key members are then given guidance on how to "unlock" opportunities to reduce operating costs and environmental impacts - and in turn earn more keys.
The Green Key audit looks at nine major areas of sustainable hotel operations:
• Energy conservation
• Water conservation
• Solid waste management
• Hazardous waste management
• Indoor air quality
• Community outreach
• Building infrastructure
• Land use
• Environmental management
Energy Star
ENERGY STAR is a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency voluntary program that helps businesses and individuals save money and protect our climate through superior energy efficiency.
Buildings that have earned the Energy Star label use an average of almost 40 percent less energy than average buildings, and emit 35 percent less carbon. LEED-EB buildings must achieve a certain Energy Star score as a prerequisite for certification.

Sadly not a good experience at all.
After staying at all other Kimpton Hotels in the city — and many others across the US and overseas — there was some hesitation to stay on this busy corner of Midtown South. Expecting some street noise, but also good insulation, the worries were justified. BUT, the biggest let down were the services/amenities or lack thereof. The welcome at Kimpton Eventi was warm, the doorman and Pauline were friendly, but that’s where it ended. Empty/used shower gel bottle were replaced, but with a grudge, the special Kimpton amenities needed to be requested, and after check-in smiles and help were far and few. The majority of staff looks tired and doesn’t care. Compliments for the chat team, as they were very courteous, but the request for a room change to a quiet/higher floor already made at reservation was not honored.
Biggest letdown is their ‘free’ coffee/tea and wine social hour (easily covered by the fees), which is subpar compared to other Kimpton in both location, service and atmosphere/offerings. The Eventi management should visit the Kimpton Shoreline Huntington Beach, they got THIS and still have a full bar/restaurant.

Stayed in this fantastic hotel for 10 days during the Christmas period, we couldn't of chosen a better hotel.
Hotel:
Trendy, modern, hip and clean hotel, as you'd expect from a high end hotel. The food in this hotel was excellent, couldn't fault the room service, bar food, breakfast or dinner.
Location:
Great location really close to the Empire State and Maces in the centre of Manhattan, within walking distance of pretty much everything. To give you an example.....we easily walked to Central Park, Soho, Grand Central & Times Square.
Rooms:
Spacious, (and that's saying something for NYC hotels as they are not known for having much of it) clean, modern, excellent quality furnishings and a great view of the city.
Staff:
Couldn't fault any members of staff, concierge/checkin staff were very friendly and would always be happy to help, they would answer any annoying questions tourists like ourselves would ask with professionalism, great local knowledge and a big smile......very helpful. Bar & restaurant staff were also brilliant, they were attentive, professional and friendly, couldn't fault them. Maids were also great, didn't speak to any of them but our rooms were always spotless and we had no interruptions.
Overall an excellent hotel and would highly recommend staying here, we will be staying again.

The Eventi is a nice hotel in Midtown. Good restaurant and bar, clean and comfortable. I made an error in booking, (wrong week) which I immediately tried to correct, and was initially declined based on policy. A second call to hotel management yielded an easy fix and the change I needed. Would recommend.

This place is decent! The people that served to seem pretty nice.. however management seemed very strict in grinched faced.. they didn't make me feel very welcomed.. but overall is a decent place to eat, by yourself or with friends.. the food wasn't amazing but it was good!

You know what you will get when you stay with this line of hotels. Stayed at Kimpton on both coasts - there is a certain level of standard they maintain. Rooms at Eventi are nicely sized and comfortable. Stayed at this and other Kimpton's nearby with good experience. Nice happy hours at the bar, appetizers were surprisingly good as well. Bathroom is done well and clean. If you are going to order breakfast make sure you are not in a rush to get to a meeting, somehow it is slow. The food is delicious, but you may not to get to eat it. I stopped doing it as it became a waste of food and money, instead grabbed something from a shop on my way to my destination. The staff are excellent, very helpful and attentive. They help you receive and send packages if needed. Recommend it, check it out!

The hotel was a very modern and chic, with a very welcoming front desk. I did have some trouble finding the hotel because the entrance is wedged in between a restaurant and another establishment. Also, the only place that says "Kimpton" is on the right door (which was propped open). The room was nice and had a great view of the city. I have one major complaint, which was about the room service breakfast we requested: it did not arrive in the 15-minute window we requested and half the order was wrong. Normally this isn't a big deal but we requested that time interval due to time constraints with our departure. Again, not normally a big deal, but with our time constraint and how much room service cost you'd expect better service.

As usual Kimpton does not disappoint. The doormen were attentive to the very busy lobby, and not hard on the eye either. Desk clerks we're also attentive and very friendly. Since we were early for check in they offered to take our luggage and store it while we enjoyed the city.
The room was clean and fresh as usual for Kimpton. Beautifully designed and great views. The location was perfect our trip. Walking distance from Penn Station, Times Square, Fashion District, and Greenwich village. A short Uber drive to Central Park and other destinations.
Looking forward to our next trip to NYC

Great spot to stay, close to a bunch of sights. We just started walking from front door and found some sweet places. Time square is a 20 minute walk. Was BEAUTIFUL. Excellent staff. Restaurants top notch. Nice stay we had

Very nice hotel. The elevator was secured with your room key, but the sensor did not work properly, requiring multiple attempts to select your floor. Several times people on the elevator missed their floor.
Also, I was counting on borrowing a bicycle, but the threat of rain, which never came, halted the loans. Completely changed my day!
Otherwise, very comfortable rooms. Extremely friendly staff

The staff were the best, super sweet and made sure that I was completely taken care of. The presidential suite on floor 5 was one of the most amazing rooms in New York City. It has all the amenities you would want in a hotel. The location is great as well. Short walk to metro and bus stops.

Really nice hotel, amazing location. 5 minutes walk from Penn station and about 20 minutes from Times Square. The staff were fantastic at check in and even managed a random request from friends back in the UK to give us champagne as a birthday present. Thank you so much!

I only attended a short networking event. It was held at a small meeting area on the 3rd floor. The size of the area was well suited for the amount of people that attended. Light refreshments were available with the staff cleaning and distributing pretty quick. The hotel was clean and the furniture and decorations modern. No complaints in my short time there.

Marvelous customer service! The hotel room we got was quite spacious. The bathroom was a size of a small studio. Recommend the Jacuzzi. The balcony has a view of the Empire State Building and is actually a shared outdoor space separated by plants serving as dividers.

The Kimpton Hotel Event was very nice. The rooms are nicely up updated for a modern feel. The location was perfect - just a short walk from Penn Station. We walked to Times Square, Rockefeller Center and Chelsea Market from the hotel. There are a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. I liked the market across the street for a quick, affordable breakfast or lunch. The hotel restaurant was excellent. I also liked the daily, complimentary wine hour.

The hotel is a 7-minute walk from Penn Station. It has a modern feel: plenty of USB and regular plugs by the bed and desk, dimmer light in bathroom for night-time,and yoga mat in the closet! However, there was no soap, so I washed my hands with the shower gel. The service at the front desk was fine, but the bell service was both rude and inefficient: practically threw luggages at customers. Overall, I'd stay here again if I can avoid bell service (this time I just needed luggage storage).

We had a very pleasant experience at the Kimpton Eventi hotel. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful and the room, etc were clean and comfortable. To top off the wonderful service, I realized the night we returned from our trip that I had left two dresses hanging in the closet of our hotel room. I called and they connected me to the lost and found. He said he didn't see anything that I described. Not a minute later after hanging up the phone he called back and described the two dresses I was missing and took my shipping information down to ship to me FedEx the next day. About 30 minutes after i spoke with the guy who took my info, I got an additional phone call from the hotel confirming my shipping info, etc. Costumer service is top notch and the hotel is clean and enjoyable.

Nice little hotel; I'm fond of the Kimpton brand. Rooms are small, but very adequate and clean. Situated perfectly if you're attending an event at Madison Square Garden.
If you're a Kimpton Karma Rewards member, you can get a $15 "raid the minibar" credit, which is nice.
I did take a bottle of champagne out of the minibar, but it tasted like it had expired. I explained this to the front desk staff, and they said they would make a note to NOT charge for it, but they charged me anyways - that's why I docked them a star.

This hotel is within walking distance from the train station. It is has a cute hipster vibe in the lobby with 2 attached bars. Drinks are pricey, but it is a comfortable atmosphere. The rooms are clean....there is no ice machine and you have to call to have it brought up. Service was fine. I would recommend staying there.

The Eventi is a great hotel just a few blocks from Empire State Building, near to Times Square, Penn Station, Subway around the corner etc. The hotel team was very helpful and friendly. The bathroom was excellent and spacious, but the rooms of the Executive Suite we had were too small for a family of three. Specifically there was VERY limited storage space for three people and definitely not enough for a longer stay. But I know there are larger rooms available.

Our first time staying at this hotel in NYC but not our last. Great location in Chelsea. The room was so large, a bonus in this town. The restaurant served great food. Everyone there was professional and friendly. We plan to make this hotel our go-to place for future NYC trips.

I didn't stay in the property, but I visited this morning to meet a friend who was staying there. He had a company team-building event in NYC but we had time to have breakfast together at their very nice (although a bit pricey) breakfast buffet. When I was preparing to leave, the rain had started and it was POURING! The Bellman at the door offered me an umbrella and I explained that I wouldn't be coming back because I was not a guest in the hotel. He insisted that I take an umbrella anyway since he knew I had a bit of a distance to walk to get to my subway.
TALK ABOUT HOSPITALITY! FRANCISCO, BELLMAN AT THE KIMPTON! YOU ARE THE BEST! I'll be bringing that umbrella back when I'm back in Midtown again. I certainly hope your manager sees what I wrote here and congratulates you on representing your property so well. THANK YOU!

It was ok. Our travel agent gave us two other suggestions. We chose this one cause it was a Kimpton, but next time we'll choose the Archer.
The good:
1. Great location.
2. Had a salad at The Vine and it was excellent.
3. It was clean.
The bad:
1. Lady up front said we were upgraded a deluxe King. My wife and I surely felt like the bed was a queen.
2. Upon arrival the room had a 1/2 opened hand cream. And missing a few amenities. When we called up for them, I had to call 3 times to get them.
3. Also, didn't realize it was a dog-friendly hotel where we got woken up in the middle of the night by a non-stop barking dog.
4. Checked out the front desk guy didn't even ask how our stay was.
All in all, for the price we expected to be wowed. And all we said to ourselves was, "this is nice."

I was invited to a professional seminar on the 3rd Floor of the Kimpton Hotel Eventi. The front desk was very helpful in getting me to the right place and the event was run seamlessly. The microphones and projectors were great. Afterwards my event had 2 open bars outside the meeting room. The bartenders were nice and efficient and were packed up and moved the bars away exactly at the ending time and not a second more. Location: easy to find and get to General feel: the lobby seemed to be busy and the bars on the first floor looked fun. Maybe I'll try those out next time I'm there.

This hotel is one of New York best kept secrets. Lactated in the beautiful Pacific Heights area of NY , this hotel offers charm, coziness, warm friendly service and and old world European flair. The staff is professional but incredibly friendly. The rooms are appointed with all the conveniences. Every morning a newspaper is delivered to your room . The daily breakfast (included) is a first class spread with your choice of coffee's, cereals, danish, fruits, breads, cheeses, jams, etc.. Coffee and tea are available all day long and every afternoon there is a wine reception (included) for the guests. I have to say that staying here is a real treat !!!!!

House keeping was good and good location for sight seeing. Hotel has good facilities and the evening complimentary drinks between 17:00-18:00 on the third floor were excellent. Although the actual surrounding area is not the best so didn't feel 100% safe but had no issues it's located 30th Street whereas 55th Street close to central park seems safer (where we stayed before)
For a 5 star we expected better service from the door men. Previous experience we had at there hotels was better. On the last day we asked for help to flag a taxi - this did not happen, had to flag it ourselves. Nobody helped us with the 5 suitcases or the big heavy doors to the hotel - this was disappointing.

The rooms are slightly dated, however the atmosphere is still very nice and the rooms at rather large for a NYC hotel. The best part is they are completely dog friendly with no restrictions on size or breed. I have two dogs over 50lb so finding a nice hotel that also accommodates them was tough, but Eventi fit the bill nicely. I was very pleased with my stay and will certainly use this hotel in the future.

I frequently stay at the Eventi while on business and have always had a wonderful experience. The rooms are lovely and clean and the staff is always cheerful and helpful. My last stay had me raving about the customer service to my friends. I began to feel ill during a meeting and rushed back to the hotel to take a nap, but realized I misplaced my room key. Not only did the front desk quickly help me get a new room key, they also sent up tea and soup free of charge. I was so overwhelmed with the incredible care and customer service and have been raving about it ever since.

What a wonderful hotel, staffs are friendly and helpful. Atmosphere is cozy and romantic. The pricing is a little high but worth every penny because their hospitality is great. We spent Labor Day weekend in NYC and had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Eventi Hotel. As a Human Resource Manager, my husband is big on good customer service. The people at the front desk greeted us with a smile and efficient service. Every time we passed through the lobby, the front desk personnel addressed by name and offered their assistance. The location was perfect…close to or convenient to transportation to everything we had planned for the weekend. Our corner room was spacious, modern, very clean, had an awesome view of the city and was extremely soundproof! (We hate hearing people in rooms next to or above ours.) Even though we have many, many choices of hotels in New York, if we ever have to stay in a hotel in Manhattan, we will stay at the Eventi!

A fantastic hotel in the heart of Mid-Town Manhattan with easy access to everything the city has to offer.
The rooms are spacious with huge and incredibly comfortable beds, great modern bathrooms (with relaxing powerful showers), amazing views over Manhattan and anything else you could want from the top class concierge team!
On top of this you have a great modern bar just off the lobby, a 5th floor veranda where they serve free wine at 5.55pm daily, a well equipped gym and spa facilities as well.
Staying at the Eventi has been an absolute dream, the only downside is having to leave!

I've stayed in this hotel twice - May and June. It is a terrific place. The staff, especially Christopher and (OMG...cannot believe I can't remember his name) AfAm man with glasses, very handsome, at the front desk - responsive, engaging, curious and helpful...fun actually. The restaurant bar and outdoor area is inviting and cool. The rooms are wonderful and it's in a convenient midtown/chelsea location. I will stay here again. Highly recommend.
Great place to stay when you visit from out of town
