We just got back from Excalibur and had a great time. Granted, it was extremely different from our previous stays due to the pandemic, loved it anyway. Although most of the restaurants were closed, there was still a good variety to chose from. Will be back as soon as we can.

Yo, the Excalibur Hotel and Casino is quite an active and busy resort. If you like crowds and fun energy in a slot and gaming area this is your destination. What I noticed is this casino seems to be more of a family friendly venue. It's definitely casual and relaxed. So try it out sometime✌

My room type was overbooked, so I was downgraded, but given a decent discount (if they follow through on their promises). I'm in the royal tower and have a lovely view of the Tropicana and the mountains. The room is decent (my original room was supposed to have a tub) with a nice bed, couch, table, side table, and dresser. I just got back from the pool, there are 3 free ones and an adult only one. I swam at the one with the slide and waterfalls. It was very nice! I am attending the tournament of Kings later and I'm looking forward to that. Overall, good hotel and near all the cool places on the strip

Enjoyed our stay here! Fun and active casino floor! Friendly staff and quick room service. The buffet was always packed so we didn't get to stop in, but plenty of other meal options to choose from. The Midway down stairs was fun and great for kiddos. The pool was nice. Its not the best on the strip, but it has a nice view of the neighboring resorts. Only knock on the Excalibur is the walk to get in and out of the hotel. Overall a great stay and a lower priced hotel! I would go back if giving a chance.

Top notch service everywhere! Check in/check out, casino attendants, dealers, security, restaurant staff and housekeepers... all fantastically polite. My only caveat was that I kept losing in the casino :p
Pool was decent although you need to reserve chairs or cabanas when it gets busy.
Shout to the rewards clerk for helping me save money on my room during checkout. Would definitely stay here again. Good job guys

This hotel was great during my visit to Vegas. It was so nice and clean our room was amazing always clean. They had the casino in the first floor and we loved it because if we wanted to do a late night slot machine games we were just a few minutes away. They have amazing restaurants inside and great gift shops where I bought some souvenirs to take back home. The hotel it self outside and inside looks amazing the castle effect I love so much..
Can't wait to go to Vegas again and if we get lucky maybe we can spend our stay at the Excalibur once again
Highly recommend to anyone

The service and ambiance were amazing. I loved their pool and they also have a decent gym. If you’re hungry head over to the buffet on the second floor or stop by the Johnny Rockets in the 1st floor. The only thing I would suggest is that they add more people to the Starbucks on the Casino level. The line for coffee was extra long and there were only two employees, naturally it took almost 20 minutes to get a coffee. Other than that we had an amazing experience.

The hotel room was very clean and beds amazingly comfortable. You get a spacious room and bathroom. There is tons to do in this hotel and casino. The pool had a great atmosphere and with the perfect July weather, it was the place you would want to be in if you were not gambling. The casino was great! Great selection of slot machines at different price levels and what can I say about the table games.... I would come back again and stay at this hotel and casino.

So I have been all over Vegas. You can for sure find more luxury, but that isn't the point when you want $$$ vs value. Excalibur is fun, has amenities and options. The rooms feel homey and not a place that you just have to stay. Great value for your dollar and the location is more than ideal. I highly doubt that you would regret having spent your vacation dollars here.

The room was great for the price. We had a view, but not of the strip (floor 23). Also we got to check in early which was great, so we recommend going to check in early if you're there because your room might be ready. We didn't try the food. A negative was the smoke smell in the Casino, but that's probably due to the age of the hotel. Drinks of course were expensive, but that's everywhere. Also something that was disappointing was the lack of a mini fridge and microwave in the room. The room was super clean and they had the AC on for us already, and there was a safe in the room for personal belongings. We really enjoyed our stay!

Used to stay here a lot in the past. This was my first visit in about 10 years. Rooms had been renovated, and seemed nice and clean. It was a little inconvenient that there were no shelves in the shower to put shampoo bottles or soap. Also no soap dish at sink, so it got a little messy. Staff was pleasant and check in/check out was quick and easy. Good place if you are traveling with kids, as they have a decent arcade (one of the only ones left in the strip properties). Used to be a great deal before the resort fees. Now, it's a bit pricey for what you get (or don't get). I think next time I will spend a little more and stay somewhere nicer.

We just stayed at Excalibur again for a recent trade show. Tower 1 is now the remodeled Royal Tower and Tower 2 is the newly remodeled Resort Tower (it's the one close to the pool). Excalibur is always clean and reasonably priced. The buffet has been updated and the food much better in variety and quality. The slots seem to be kind of loose at least for my friend who couldn't stop winning! Stay here and enjoy!

Went to Excalibur to see a show. We had a few hours before the show and played Blackjack and CRAPS. Was real fun, and they had all types of other gambling games. The workers were awesome in the casino. Was able to order drinks very often while playing. Definitely will visit again!

Excalibur gave me one of the best experiences of my life. I had so much fun at the craps table my husband was on fire! The dealers told us that they had never seen anyone shoot the dice for that long without crapping out. Just around and hour and 20 minutes. The decor is fun, not fancy. And that's not a bad thing. It's like a Medival Fantasy World. Overall it's become one of my favorite Casinos in Vegas.

Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves. We requested a quiet room and happily received a room facing the inner part of the resort as opposed to the noisy street side.

All of the staff was truly fantastic.

What we didn't like:
#1 ALL the pools were only 3' deep. Not very relaxing for those of us who wanted to truly swim. I am guessing it is to make sure even the drunkest patron doesn't drown.

#2 There was no mini-fridge in the room. The most basic of food is very pricey in Vegas, therefore we would have really liked to have a few inexpensive snacks & juice on hand.

Overall, a nice place to stay. ( We were in the Resort Tower - much nicer than the other tower)

Staying in Vegas for six nights. We stayed downtown for the first two, then drove our rental car to the Excalibur to stay the following four nights. Upon arrival to valet parking, I notified the valet that I was only going to stay for about an hour just to check in, then i was going to return the rental car. I then let registration know that we were not parking a car and I had a car in valet so we could check in and get our bags to the room. When I went to get my car, they had already charged my room for full overnight parking instead of the 0-2 hour rate. I went to the concierge who then sent me to the business services desk. They told me that the valet service and the hotel are separate and I would have to speak with them about the charge. Not good service at all. When I returned to the room, my daughter was playing on the bed. That's when my wife saw the stains on the comforter. These we not subtle, but really large, dark yellow stains! We called housekeeping and they promptly brought a new comforter. Also, there was hair in the shower and on the bathroom floor. I realize this isn't the fanciest hotel on the strip or in MGM's roster, but when the draw of the hotel is to families and kids, there is a certain level of expectation in regards to cleanliness of the rooms. On the positive side, the pool is great, especially the water slide. The fun dungeon (arcade w/DQ) is also a plus to keep the kids entertained. Overall, the hotel is okay. Not the worst, but definitely not the best; just okay. Our room was not clean and the business services staff was not helpful. The pool staff were friendly and they kept the pool safe and clean. If my daughter didn't want to stay in a castle, I likely wouldn't stay here again. The things we do for kids.

We usually stay up on this end of the strip and enjoy the Excalibur. The remodeled rooms are great and the staff is always friendly and helpful. There was a problem with one of the rooms we booked as they were joining rooms they gave us a different room for one night and the next day they found two rooms together for us. The staff was in constant touch with me all day letting me know the status I really appreciated that. Will definitely stay there again.

For the price i was very impressed. Rooms were clean. It did not have as many amenities as some of the others, but simply as a place to stay it was great. Close to everything but just far enough away. Only negative was an extremely long wait to check in. But that may just have been the time of day (late night). I would go back again.

There is nothing fancy about this hotel and that’s perfectly fine with me! I enjoy staying here. The prices are always fair and most of the time pretty low. From this hotel you can access the majority of the strip with little challenge. The tram station connects the Excalibur to the Luxor and Mandalay Bay hotels for free. There are sky bridges that connect to New York, New York and the Tropicana as well. The rooms are always clean and well taken care of. There is an arcade for the kids. The buffet is delicious too! I definitely recommend this hotel!

Clean room, friendly efficient check-in! Pool was AMAZING! Definitely get a Bloody Mary from the pool bar... one of the best I've had! We didn't have much luck gambling but our friends won at every machine/table they sat at! Would definitely stay again 😁

At the Excalibur the show to see is a Tournament of Kings. In the years past, they have perfected the show for the better! And if you like eating with your hands, this is the place to be! I believe they have fixed the decor throughout the casino/hotel to have that Renaissance ambience. The food court is a lot better and more variety. But what I go for when I am at the Excalibur is the Dragon's Lair store to get new dragons decors for my house. To be honest sometimes I find things and sometimes I don't... but that is why I need to keep going back, for the new updated things.

We recently stayed in the newly renovated Royal Tower. Check in was easy and Quick thanks to Tasia. She was awesome. I will be back thanks to her. The only thing I didn't like was the buffet. Food was good but very limited on food choices. Very small selection compared to a few other buffets I have been too. So that kinda sucked but other than that I enjoyed my stay.

Stayed here 3 times. Each time they have thrown us a discount on our room or upgraded us for free. The rooms are super clean and service is always excellent. We also stayed here for part of our honeymoon years ago and they went the extra mile to make us feel special. The rooms are fairly inexpensive compared to other big name hotels in Vegas. The buffet downstairs is so good. Also make sure the check out the Festival of Kings if you get the chance. Great Hotel all around.

Upon arriving via Uber to the front entrance at Excalibur, we were struck by it looking like an actual castle. Going into the inside of the hotel, the theme continued and was amazing to behold. My son, whom loves knights and dragons, was extremely excited. We went down to the fun arcade and bought tickets to the 4-D movie experience. This was like nothing we have ever seen before. You put on the glasses and sit in the seats. The movies vegan and we watched 15 minutes of Superman: Man of Steel, San Andreas, and a special certain of Lego 3D movie made just for this theater, which we were all amazing. Played in the fun arcade and spent tickets at the hotel after getting some food from the Dairy Queen. Overall, this was a very good time and we will definitely come back the next time we are in Las Vegas. Walked over to MGM Grand after this to tour their facilities.

We had a great experience here. Our room was clean, spacious, and quiet. The bed was unbelievably comfortable and for all the activities surrounding the hotel, I slept well every night. No in room coffee, which for me is a bit of a deal breaker, I'm the type of person that has to have coffee before I can go get coffee. But you have to go downstairs to the casino floor to get coffee in the morning. We found the location of the hotel to be very convenient to other amenities and attractions on the strip. Would definitely consider staying here again, it was a good value.

I feel compelled to write a review on this hotel because I see way to many picky people with bad reviews here. Really can't go wrong here. Price is right, and the rooms are very nice. I went here with my girlfriend and stayed 4 nights. Was a great experience from start to finish. Perfect location, perfect price.

Great place. A little dated but if it's your first time to Vegas this is a great place to stay because it's a little more calmer than some of the other hotels. Everything is it within walking distance and Excalibur is fun. Everyone should check out Dick's restaurant and don't forget to go upstairs and check out the food court. The pools are plenty there is a pool and lounge chair for anyone.

Okay, so it's not new. Yes, the furniture has scuffs and there was no mini fridge in the room. But did we still have a great time? Oh yes!

Great location on the south end of the strip with quick walks to New York, New York, Luxor, and MGM Grand. MGM will connect you with the monorail which connects you with the strip and convenient bus stop locations for any direction you want to go. It's affordable which is why the carpet is a little torn up. But the amenities are great! Good selection of restaurants in the food court, good buffet, good service, and nice pool.

If you're expecting the Wynn, go pay for the Wynn. If you're looking for a clean, convenient place to sleep and store your stuff at while you get drunk and play at the mighty fine arcade, It's more than adequate.

My husband and I had such an awesome time at this hotel. It seemed to be located in the center of everything we wanted to do. The room was nice and clean. The staff was professional and accommodating. The casino was fun and the game room was a hit! I would definitely visit this place again.

The room was great at a very reasonable price. Excellent location on the strip, and I won a lot of money at the casino. I would definitely recommend Excalibur. It was docked a star because the cigarette smoke was bad in the casino (no smoke at all in the room), and in all 3 days I played at the casino, I was not offered a drink. I don't know how that happened. But I did really enjoy my stay.

My girlfriends and I explored the Excalibur but didn't stay here. The exterior was really cute, the hotel looks like a castle and even included a moat. The interior was awesome as it looked like the interior of an old castle. It was a bit run down inside but it was a cool experience to walk the casino area and see the exterior. Plus they sell jello shooters at a small bar by the rear entrance - pretty good and well worth the $8 for 3.

I liked pretty much everything about the hotel. I'm only 18 so I can't tell what the casino was like, although it did smell like cigarette smoke constantly. The arcade was fun. I also really enjoyed the Tournament of Kings show. The hotel is really pretty and large. I would definitely go again!

We have stayed at the Excalibur for years, we love casino and it's location. The tables are cheaper than the newer resorts and there are plenty of them. The sports book is great too! Now that the book is non smoking it's even better!! The Excalibur gets four stars because it is a 30 year old property so it's not brand new and shiny. But the staff are great and the casino is fun and the restaurants are excellent. I recommend the Excalibur for a great trip to Vegas.

Great hotel. The room was a nice size. Great view. Bathroom was huge! Walk in shower with seat was just what I was looking for.
only issue we had was we were having to battle some red ants that found our sugar infused products. Nothing that ruined our trip though. We will definitely stay here again next year.

Being one of the main hotels & casinos of the strip makes a visit here essential. It's very nice and I actually really enjoyed the layout of the casino. It felt way more open and breathable then some other. Unfortunately one of the dealers was quite rude so I opted to take my money somewhere else.

The kids loved our visit here! The arcade needs to be updated: tokens instead of coins, for example. But regardless, they enjoyed their time playing the games. We really liked the 4d movie experience, and I feel like that was worth the price. Feeling the water in the movie spray on us was neat! Very multi sensory experience! I hate that parking costs money, and I think $10 for the day is ridiculous, but we did enjoy our day trip to Excalibur.

Absolutely happy with this hotel! Big, nice and clean! One can enjoy the swimming pool area outside, good service, fast registration. If you don't want to burn down to ashes in a hot Las Vegas sun that shines like crazy - use the endless roads-alleys for tourists. They are covered mostly with glass for you to see the town and they are connected to other hotels as well. There many places inside the hotel where you can eat, drink and entertain.
Enjoy!

1st time in Vegas, Spent 5 nights here with my husband.Check in was quick and everyone was extremely helpful. Bed was comfortable and cozy! Room was clean and excellent. The floor was quiet and we got a great night sleep! Casino was huge with a good choice of games to choose from. Food court upstairs had a good variety of different types of food to choose from and reasonably priced. The hotel was in a very good location to other hotels and T-Mobile arena.
We will be returning!!

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, the location is excellent on the strip and 10 minutes Uber ride to the airport. The hotel is themed around medieval times and the Knights of the round table. There is even a jousting event where you can banquet on chicken whilst watching the live show, horses and all. The bedroom was really nice we stayed in the royal tower and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Lovely shower and all the amenities provided. Good selection of food in the food court, the Chinese in particular was delicious. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and will be staying again

Spacious rooms, large bathroom and for $10 more an upgrade to a great view of the strip! Very busy, check in lines are long but move quickly and they provide water while you wait. Overall, we were very pleased! Also, if you sign up for rewards you can park free at any other MGM owned casinos and frankly they own most of them!! Great discounts too!! Only eating 4 stars because we started only one night a and didn't get to explore the casino and other amenities. Next time maybe!

We stayed here in 2013 for our wedding trip. We saw the Tournament of Kings then and again in December 2017. The show hasn't changed, but it's still fun. I love that it's still themed. It feels like the casinos are trying to be less themed; it makes Excalibur more special. I always find my way in when visiting Las Vegas.

This brand really needs an upgrade. Only offering three stars instead of one just because the staff is very helpful and clearly wants to offer a good experience at Excalibur. Plus, the facilities are clean which is not always the case in Las Vegas. While here, it felt like I was playing in a time capsule from the 1980's. Old machines, old decor, old everything. Obviously the unique look from the outside is a staple for Las Vegas Boulevard, but on the inside it's bland and pedestrian. Let's hope they give this place some love very soon.
I really do want to stress how lovely the staff is here, though. From the bartenders and servers to the maintenance staff and bellhops, everyone wants you to have a pleasant visit :)

While this kind of room may be great for Vegas, I felt it wasn't that great at all. So we could check in early, we upgraded our room for an extra $10/night. We were told these rooms were newly renovated. The wall art above the bed and a light fixture was pealing, and no stationary, frig or microwave. Just how long ago was this room "newly renovated". And while staying there 5 nights, we had to request extra towels every night. For a Vegas hotel, disappointing to say the least. I get better service and nicer rooms in local chain hotels.

I was a little nervous at first staying at this hotel. The reason was our rate was very cheap. And I expected the rooms to not be very good. But on the contrary they end up being great. A very comfortable bed. And a great shower. My only complaint about the entire stay was the pressure for water in the shower. Very low water pressure

I took my granddaughter to see the winter version of the Tournament of Kings. She is 8 years old and this was her 1st show. We sat in the Dragon section. The horses were magnificent. The actors were amazing. Their riding skills were perfect. The service was excellent. But the thing that pushed this over the top for me, was the actors taking time to acknowledge the fans. During the show they would make eye contact, smile or wink and my granddaughter was thrilled beyond words. Their ability to make their fans actually feel involved with the show..is priceless.

It's a decent hotel/casino, but it's not a top tier location. Everything has a used feel and nothing is well polished. Nothing is bad about the hotel or casino though. The show selection is not overly impressive unless it's what you're looking for. It's also at the South end of the strip so if you want to walk the strip, it's quite a hike.

The Excalibur casino(&hotel) is the perfect place to stay in. It offers so much! There is so much you are able to do with your Rewards cards(M-cards) and personally, it feels like a family-friendly hotel, but still has the Las Vegas... Vibe. There is a massive arcade for kids, an even bigger "arcade" for anyone over 21 years of age. Its a big castle, with medieval characteristics. The jousting is an event that allows you to sit on stands and eat large meals with no utensils required, as you watch knights battle each other. Its a very nice place, and offers a spectacular view and entrance to the Strip. It feels like it is the center of it all. I would definitely stay here again.

I am a huge fan of the MGM properties and Excalibur in particular. I found my stay at Excalibur to be Exquisite, I thought there was a number of table games and I really enjoyed the availability and the number of machines. I also went to the buffet which I found to be very well stocked and full of good tasting food, and I also enjoyed the food court as well. I also like the proximity to the other properties on the Strip as I was able to walk over to New York New York with ease. I thought the room at Excalibur was well-maintained and well-stocked and the staff was friendly and courteous and gave me extra towels when I needed them.

We stayed at the Excalibur for three nights. Keep in mind it is located adjacent to Mandalay Bay and the Luxor of which both have a much cleaner nicer atmosphere as far as public areas go.
We had a king room in the royal tower. The room is dated to a point that it just doesn’t feel clean (though it was). It still has popcorn ceilings, old tile in the bathroom and a very dated shower stall. No it wasn’t a handicapped shower. No tub, which after a day of being on the move was sorely missed. The king size bed only came with three small pillows and when you called for extras you were only allowed two additional.
The room was bare minimum no coffee maker, no fridge, no microwave. It was a quiet room, but I would definitely recommend trying to stay elsewhere.

Keep in mind the pricing is very misleading. Whatever room rate you see you will need to add on a $30.00 per day resort fee and $10.00 parking fee per day if you have a car. The restaurants are mostly fast food and have a very poor selection. With that being said do your home work and really compare apples to apples before you decide to stay at the Excalibur.

We definitely wouldn’t recommend it or stay again.

Front desk staff was amazing, and helped us out with a problem with our reservation, which we really appreciated. The hotel is also obviously family-friendly - the vibe is relaxed and casual.

Beyond check-in, we received zero service in the hotel. We spent several hours on the casino floor and were offered drinks only once (and we had to flag the waitress down). When she finally arrived with them, we were still in play, and handed her a large bill - instead of offering change, she said "Thanks" and rushed off - so two "free" low-quality well drinks cost $50.

We were a bit annoyed to learn there was a players program, which no one informed us about - so we spent all night playing without accruing any points or comps. We also paid the "resort fee" surcharge, but found the pool was seasonally unavailable and other amenities we'd hoped to use were closed. We were charged an additional fee for parking, and we found the food available onsite to be both mediocre and expensive.

Overall, the room was nice and clean, and the check-in experience was good - but otherwise, we felt it was overpriced for the service and experience we received. Next time, we'll stay elsewhere.

Super accommodating staff helped us out with a last minute room reservation and even gave us an upgrade. Super nice, comfy, quiet rooms for the best prices on the strip. Great location. Good shopping/eating and easy access to the other casinos via foot bridges or monorail. Will definitely stay again!!

I've wanted to stay at the Excalibur since my first trip to Vegas 10 years ago. The hotel provides very good value for money and I would stay there again. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The only negative feedback I can provide is that the hotel should invest in more capital improvements to keep up with more modern competition. Also the carpets in the main casino hold in a stronger smoke odour than most other hotels.

Checking in was a chore because we were early so we had to wait. The line was crazy long but they have a new mobile check in thing that made it easier. The Tournament of Kings was awesome! I was in the Dragon 🐲 section so my king was the bad guy. Awesome. The kings are hot and the maidens fair. Food was good too. Little chicken and stuff. Eat with your hands and yell at the people acting. It's a good time. I also won slots so that was fun.

We have stayed here 5 times over the years, it seems more run down each time. Is is on the lower end of pricing so you get what you pay for. But still not worth the room rates plus the resort fees. Upside is, its smaller and easier to get around. Decent food court upstairs. We are going to stay elsewhere next time we visit.

The last 3 times I came to Las Vegas, I stayed here because I like it. I am here again and it's still good. I found that I did spend an extra $10 per night upgrade for the 'newer bed and modern room this time and found the bed and blankets comfortable. The room decor is what it is. I am not a big gambler but I like to walk and shop and enjoy the sites but the casino is a older one. This place has a good court upstairs that I would recommend over the buffet. The one thing about this place that I do find lacking is the buffet it never truly makes me want to come back for more. Nice front desk staff each time I have stayed.

Overall it's a great hotel to stay at for the price as little time was spent in the hotel room and served it's purpose well, they have a good buffet, and good selection of games on the casino floor. That being said. Their amenities we're pretty lacking. The rooms don't have refridgerators nor do they even have a coffee maker. Sheets are paper thin and while I can understand not having a need for many sheets (Vegas heat). My trip was in December in which thicker blankets would have been appreciated. All in all, decent place, just could have been better.

The hotel was very cool inside and the rates were very reasonable compared to some others in the area. The only issue I had was when checking in. The line was long and we had to wait 20-25 minutes just to check in. There should be some better system in place like online check-in or something. Then when I got to the counter the only thing available is handicap accessible Where the room wasn’t as described when I booked 8 months earlier. I did upgrade me for free after I expressed my dissatisfaction. The thing is, I should not been put in that position. Please give people the room they reserve. We ended up with a room with two queen’s instead of the king we ordered.

Rooms were fine to stay at. No microwave, fridge or coffee makers in the rooms. Rooms were also old fashioned. Parking is great. One paid parking pass works on all MGM casinos. The "fun dungeon" is great for arcade games. The resort is located in one end of the strip, so getting in and out is easy. Haven't tried the spa or the pool. Food court was decent. Out of the other casinos we visited, this place was the least flashy and the price was great.

We went to the Tournament of the Kings at the Excalibur the show was really fun and very interactive with the audience. The food was really great and was super fun to eat with your hands and toast while watching knights on horseback fight with swords, and also really neat to watch the jousting. The dinner was a Cornish hen, red potatoes, broccoli, and you can have soda, alcohol, water, also we had apple strudel for dessert.
Fun times I would recommend to come check out this show and dinner if you get a chance.

The first sightings of the Excalibur excellence told us that we were in for a tasty treat! The premises is ginormous with more than everything we'd need for our trip, from the bright casino settings to the long list of stores and restaurants as part of even more on the strip. I first found it tough to navigate round but the goosebumps it filled me with made this easier. Staff are always attentive and go the extra mile to help, access to the boulevard is easy and looks extremely picturesque by sunset. The larger pool was closed due to I think seasonal works but the spa facility was a lovely make up for it. Bar drinks are lovely and refillable, plus the weather ticked every box! Would love to return in the future 🤑💘

This is our go-to hotel and casino. It is in a decent location, the prices are awesome and they have a good selection of games. I've had pretty good luck here, so that draws me back each time. I've stayed here for several nights before and, after our flight was delayed once, we booked a room so my girlfriend and I had somewhere to relax and watch the college football playoff. That is how inexpensive and available this place is. Good food court too!

This is my go to hotel. They have an awesome sports book there and love playing blackjack and roulette there. My first time there I got a regular room with 2 queen beds. It was nice and clean but recently I stayed in the royal suite and it wasn't as clean. The shower had hair in it, the sheets were stained, and the ceiling had stains on it too. I was pretty disappointed after paying so much money for a suite and it not be clean to normal standards.

Nice place for the money. We stayed in one of the updated rooms in the Royal Tower, which was clean and comfortable. The sofa chair looked a little like a garage sale find, but the bed was good and the bathroom was good. The view from the room was a wall and a roof, and we were on the 3rd floor. The air quality in the casino was a little undesirable, but the ladies' rooms were always clean and actually the best smelling rooms in the hotel. All in all, a good place to stay when on a budget.

We had a good time, but the big pool was closed and the waterfall was not working on the other one. Did not like being bothered with ticket sales upon arriving still with all my luggage in tow. Next time, let people get to their room first, relax from the trip. Maybe just a handout upon arrival letting us know where to go for tickets within the hotel. Your valet parking staff were absolutely wonderful. Made me feel very special. Housekeeping was also great. They are the reason for the 4 stars.

First thing, when you check in be prepared to shell out some extra cash. On top of having your reservation you will need to pay an extra $34/night "resort fee" and and $20 for parking (they will waive The parking fee for military/veterans and automatically bump your m.Life rewards card up to pearl status) The hotel itself is a lot nicer than what I remember from a few years ago. The casino has up to date slots, $5 black jack table and a decent sports book. Food court is a little pricey, but I guess that's the price you pay in Vegas.

Disappointed but not surprised. I would recommend the mobile check in the day before or as soon as possible to anyone planning to visit this place. The lines are disturbingly long. During our visit we were treated like a number and the desk person did not help make our visit any better by offering peace of mind that our room would be ready by a certain time. Check in was at 3 and we arrived on time- they said "There's nothing we can do. Your room could be ready in 10 minutes or 1 hour." We just had to wait it out despite paying for a Royal Luxury Suite. It did not feel welcoming after a long drive through the desert. I would also recommend using any coupons possible to save you the hassle of paying full price for an inferior experience.

I stayed at the Excalibur last week and while I had a good time with family and friends, the room was not what I expected. Kind of disappointing.

The carpet is old and dirty and needs cleaning or replaced. It would have been nice to have a coffee pot, a refrigerator and/or microwave in the room. I had to call for a remote control for a television with awful reception.

Decent rate, just unsure how that extra $120 resort fee is being used.

I'm happy to say I did have a good nights rest on a comfortable bed and the staff was friendly. It wasn't all bad.

We really enjoyed our stay! We stayed during the weekdays so our room was unbelievably inexpensive. The room was very clean. It was a very large room with the king size bed. The bathroom was very large as well, and clean. We were on the 24th floor facing the strip so the views were totally amazing! I recommend the highest floor possible for the very best views. All the staff that we talked to were more than friendly and helpful. It's a lot of fun to walk around the casino and check things out. We would definitely stay there again.

Wish we had stayed her I stead of Tropicana. Place was well kept up staff all around was happy and helpful. The theme was fun yet clean and had a bit of a modern touch without losing its time period affect. Easy to navigate and the Dinner and Rennacens show was very entertaining. Large game room downstairs for kids, entry of slots to choose from and table games. Drink service was pretty good. In all we highly enjoyed this place. Tip we stopped by the pick an our stay stand for a pearl was fun and exciting. We stopped three times our last stop my wife picked one with twin, 2 equal size pinkish pearls. Lady said she worked there over 5 yrs and had only seen that about 4 other times.

Don't be fooled by the $29 rooms, you will also be charged a $30 resort fee like everywhere else.
Nonetheless, a less expensive, less upscale version of its MGM siblings next door. Not all room have bathtubs. Super low flow showers, but this is the middle of the desert. Everything is clean and working, and the staff is good. There is a free, fast tram to Luxor and Mandalay Bay.

We visited the hotel for the Tournament of King's show. It was a good show and would easily be fun for the whole family. We were happy to find out you could specify your food preferences (allergies or dairy related) when getting your tickets. However, we went dairy free and the event staff had no idea and proceeds to give us the regular entree items. We asked them politely for the salad instead of the soup and they just sent another guy over with more soup. Either way, the chicken was good and the show was fun. Seemed like a great family friendly hotel.

Reasonable rates. Rooms are clean and decent. Strangely no bar in the room on the royal tower side. Near the tram, so rather accessible. Walking to bus stops also not a problem unless inhibited by weather. Generally quite a nice place to stay with entertainment like tournament of Kings where you can eat and watch medieval-like stuff!

We had a great view from our royal tower. We loved that we could see the strip. On top of it the location made us feel like we were right in the middle of it all. Also the casino provided a lot of affordable good and drink options compared to some. Just wish there was a mini fridge to keep beverages cold since it was over 100 degrees the entire time we were there.

This is by far not the most extravagant of the MGM casinos and hotels on the strip, however, we have always enjoyed our time here. The rooms have been recently renovated and there is a food court with more than one 24 hour options. The buffet has gone under an overhaul as well. The rooms are budget friendly and the staff are always genuinely helpful. I lost my debit card this last trip and they were very helpful. This casino is kind of like our home base.

Pros: it's right off the strip so it has a convenient location. It's a put together hotel, they keep up with it enough and the staff I spoke with were nice. It has a nice design so it can be cool for kiddos to see.

Cons: if you plan to gamble here, good luck on getting a waitress. I only saw one ONCE the entire time of my hour gambling and she didn't approach us. The rooms have dirty carpet. It's not visibly dirty but my daughter's feet were black after walking around on it all night. The cleaning lady used the same gloves she was cleaning with to hand out clean towels.

There is no coffee maker, microwave, or refrigerator in the room unless you want to pay an additional daily fee. We waiting a long time for bell service to in the a.m. We ended up taking our own luggage out, which took several trips. I was also surprised that we had to pay $15 per day for vallet parking, and there's no covered parking there so when we got our car back it was screaming hot. If you self park, you have to pay for that as well, not sure how much for that though. Last reason is that you have to pay for certain chairs and tables at the pool area? Other than that, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom is a good size.

Disclaimer: Stayed here "free" using MyVegas rewards voucher. Review takes discounted price into account. Score would have been lower at full price due to value perception. Nice hotel, but it needs some love. The rooms are only just OK. Ours had a fire sprinkler head corroded beyond use in the bathroom, and a questionable repair to the light switch on the lamp to the point where we didn't really want to touch it. There were also multiple outlets in the room that our cell phone chargers simply fell out of. Little things, left a little too long. That said, this is a free (pay resort fees of ~$30/night) room at a three star hotel, and the beds were clean and comfortable. Totally passable, but it's time to show this hotel some TLC. Unlike the real deal, these won't hold up to time unless you keep them well maintained. The service was great, check-in/out was simple, and the buffet wasn't bad. 6/10 because it's a pyramid and my five year old lost his mind when he walked in... But you'd have only gotten 5/10 from me if I'd have seen the room first. Wife insists she will not return due to the condition of the rooms, but for a place to crash there are FAR worse places on the Strip. I'd happily return after a minor round of renovation!

This place was awesome! plenty of drink servers, the technicians were really friendly and ready to help you, and the food at the buffet was fantastic. The medieval theme within the casino was really well developed and maintained as well. My wife had a ticket hung in her machine and the slot attendant couldn't get the belly door of the machine open so she called a slot technician over. She stayed with us the entire time we waited and talked with us, which was about 15 minutes. Very good experience all around.

We went because of the price... A room is a room if you only intend to sleep in it otherwise it's poor. The rest of the hotel? Gambling, kids arcade, a couple of places to drink and some great food joints... All pretty average... Spend less time here and go out on the strip!

I absolutely LOVED staying here. It's right on the boulevard so you can just get up and walk to see the town. Also the atmosphere is incredible. There's so many people buzzing around to experience Las Vegas. They had good food options inside the Casino and a LOVELY pool area. However to stay there nearly cost me an arm and a leg. I prepaid ahead of time so I was under the impression that it was taken care of but when arrived they told me about a "resort fee" they charged me an extra $200 after I'd already paid for the rooms.

Overall, a great stay. We stayed 3 nights, but ended up paying just as much for any other hotel on the strip, especially being that we stayed Wednesday through Saturday. There are really no good restaurants in this casino. The buffet was great, fairly expensive but if they do offer buffet passes on certain special bookings (we did not receive this offer). The casino itself is great, it is not too far and not too close, but we really appreciated the walking bridge connecting us to MGM or NY NY casino. The AC was horrid. It was so loud the entire time you had it powered on. They only provide you with two towels, which is adequate if you are staying alone or by yourself, but you end up having to call down or wait until the next day for a fresh set. There is no tub, and shower heads have little to no pressure. There is no shampoo / conditioner in the rooms, or mini-bar or coffee maker. You are given plastic cups, so we celebrated with champagne in plastic cups. Had to use the bathroom sink as a fridge. The largest pool was closed our entire stay, and the other pool (if not booking a cabana) was packed. We did not go down to the pool. This is a nice hotel, but does not compare to the more fancier resorts.

I was very happy with the service and facility for the price. My flight got in 5 hours late and there was no problem with them holding out room after one phone call. Check in at 2 am was a breeze. The room was clean and spacious and had a great view. Even though there was no fridge or microwave it was fine, we didn't go to Vegas to sit in the room. I loved the boarding pass printing station and quick check out stations. I didn't have time to go to the Tournament of Kings dinner show this time but have in the past and it was amazing.Would definitely stay again.

It was a fancy hotel especially because I'm a budget traveller. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom was quite nice. Linen was clean but there was no mini bar or fridge.
South of the strip everything in Major part of Vegas was at a walking distance.
The casino hotel is the same as those around with food & coffee options.
For one uninterested in drinks and gambling it was a good choice.

We were on the first floor so window view was not the greatest. But my daughter loved the idea of spending the night in a castle. The buffet is affordable and good. They even offer a all day pass. As many guests have stated, rooms are old, no in-room coffee or refrigerator. Shower only, no bath. So its very basic and the least expensive as far as staying on the south end of the strip, where you really want to be, but not what you expect from an MGM hotel. The air conditioner/heater is ridiculously loud like an old car idling in your hotel room. There was a giant cockroach in our bathroom and management was nice by refunding a few fees, though I couldnt sleep the last night we were there. Another guest told me about black mold in his room during this stay. The staff is pretty friendly, nice poker room. Staying here has a few nice amenities like fitness center and pool which may make up a little for the absolute bare basics of the rooms. I definitely expect more from the MGM group. Fun little casino area.

One of the older hotels in the strip, it's nice, but not as nice as some of the other hotels in the neighborhood. The rates for the rooms are a good price, but the decor is a little dated (not just because of the medieval castle theme). You pay for everything and it's all expensive. No in-room coffee, but you can stand in a long line and wait for a 4 dollar convenience store coffee at the bottom of the elevators, or you can hike to a near by Starbucks for an 8 dollar coffee. The buffet is pretty good, but it's $20 a plate.

Sneaky time share people are everywhere, they have booths all over the place. They look like they might work for the hotel and they're happy to let you believe that they do. They create the illusion of being helpful while they try to truck you into signing up for a 2 hour shake down seminar.

We saw the Tournament of Kings show, it was pretty mediocre, and we had to hunt around to find tickets for 25% off. There were a lot of empty seats, you'd think they'd offer better deals on those tickets if they're having trouble selling out shows.

I came here to go to the buffet with my husband and son. It was $50 for the three of us. But as soon as I walked in they had their own build your own crepe station and my mouth just started to water. The food here is very tasty you will not be disappointed. If you have kids here I would suggest to go to the arcade that is downstairs. There is a lot to do down there. And also you should try to go to the tournament of kings, the kids will love it!

I was just there while exploring the strip. The Excalibur, like lots of hotels here, is very uniquely decorated. It is very convenient having access to the team out front. The reason I did not give five stars is it is difficult to walk around the outside of the building. It's designed to funnel pedestrians inside to the casino.

I stayed at the Excalibur hotel during my second visit to Las Vegas. It is a great hotel that will fit your budget. I like how there is a food court in the hotel and it was great to get food any time of the day. Also, there seemed to be some photo booths involving a medieval type theme. The men that were dressed up in medieval costumes in the lobby were super good looking lol and that was quite enjoyable to have some eye candy! I would stay at the Excalibur hotel again due to the affordable rates and ease of access to everything.

Great price. Friendly staff. From housekeeping to front desk. Location is great. The rooms are clean

This hotel is not a luxury hotel. Needs a better circulation of air in the casino. In the rooms I do not smell cigarette smoke. Plus I prefer higher floor.

Great hotel for my budget.

Stayed here for the first time. I've visiting Las Vegas yearly for the last 15 years and never booked a room at the Excalibur.

I had some credits available to me and since the rooms were affordable at the time I was looking to travel, I decided to give it a shot. The name of the game was to get the best bang for the buck. I booked the "Royal Tower King Room".

I stayed at the hotel on Superbowl Sunday.. The casino floor was pretty busy and by noon the line to place bets was growing quickly. I got checked into my room a bit early, before noon thanks to the front desk and got a nice daytime nap.

My room was pretty nice, very comfortable, but despite the no smoking signs on the door, the room still had a smoke odor. I had a good view looking out towards the airport and the Tropicana. Surprisingly being on an upper floor, I was still able to hear traffic from the Strip.

The bathroom was decent, and overall the stay was good. I had a chance to try some of the restaurants in the food court as well as the buffet since my room came with some complimentary buffets. The buffet was decent, but not overly impressive compared to the many other ones offered in Vegas.

The casino offered a decent selection of slot machines, but was lacking some of the newer machines. I found the location to be a bit far south as far as convenience for walking to other places was concerned, but took advantage of the indoor passageways to the Luxor, Mandalay and the outside walkway to the NY NY.

I would consider staying here again when the price is right.

Stayed here with 5 (45,44,18,17,14) in July 2016 "in the week". Price was alright, though there were some hidden costs (for the spa and be careful: two meals- means two meals altogether and not each person). Rooms were fine and spacious. Location is fine, in the middle of the Las Vegas attractions. Big parking lot , where we could park our RV without extra-cost.

I went here for my 18th birthday and loved it. Everything is beautiful and well put together. As soon as you get out of the rooming area, the 'Las Vegas' vibe hits you. The rooms are very standard and I personally found the showers uncomfortable. But, overall it was a great experience. Lots of food, shopping, and activities. Also, the pool area is gorgeous. I cannot wait to go back again :)

Rooms were clean and everything was as advertised. Bathroom needed updating. Maid service was outstanding. Elevators were nice and did not require long waits. Fast food prices were outrageous. Attack dogs for MG property time shares made for an uncomfortable entry+exist every time. Parking is a bit high for guests but well protected and convenient. Not enough restrooms on main floor. Many working girls of the night were permitted to operate without being scrutinized by security. Staff was friendly and helpful. Stay was OK and priced accordingly for being on the strip.

We stayed here for the first time in years this past December and had a great experience. The rooms were recently updated and were much more modern than before. The beds were very comfortable and ac blew nice and cold. For the price point, it's hard to beat the Excalibur. If you want to score some great room rates, join the MLife rewards program.

Excalibur is a nice hotel located at the end of the strip in Vegas. The hotel itself is beautiful from the outside. However from the inside, I wouldn't say anything was spectacular about it. The other hotels have a nicer ambiance and themed decorations inside. Overall I enjoyed my stay, and the hotel was reasonable for the price

The new Mobile Check-in is great. They still verify your ID and credit card, which kind of defeats the purpose of it. Mainly because thats pretty much the same thing they do when you "manually" check-in. There is some tweaks needed to make it work better. Like, being able to purchase parking tickets at the mobile check-in kiosk. The room was spacious and accommodating. Staff was friendly with the exception of the one gentleman near the concierge who was rude and dismissive when I asked him for help. Use the mobile check-in if you come here before it catches on more. While it may not be any faster than dealing with someone the normal way. There wasn't a line to wait in because nobody was using it.

This is a fine hotel. It gets the job done. It might not look as up-to-date or as pristine as some other casinos on the strip, but our room was nice and very comfortable. Even though it was early spring and still a little cool, we were happy to enjoy the hot tub and even got to bring some friends along! This is a decent place for a decent price!

The room was nice but was very basic. No coffee pot, no fridge, but was very well decorated. Staff was all great. Wish there hadn't been 13 time share reps hassling us every time we walked out of the elevator or back though. Overall nice.

Difficult to give a 3 star hotel anything else. While a fascinating experience and a convenient location, I probably wouldn't stay here again. The rooms are basic, although clean. Things that surprised us were the resort fee that wasn't communicated at time of booking, but staying as a family meant we fell prey to the hawkers who are strategically placed at all entries. They claim to be able to offer you cheap show tickets but let them keep talking and you soon find out this is only contingent on sitting through a 2-3 hour timeshare sales seminar. Tread cautiously, they're smooth.

I keep wondering when they're going to remodel this place. The hotel seems as though it'd be ideal for the following people: frat dudes, college chicks stalking frat dudes, individuals from Europe travelling on a budget, anyone fascinated with wizards and/or the dark ages, or anyone in need of a cheap buffet (you know who you are). I did like that you can buy alcohol basically every 50 feet or so - that's a plus... because it's Vegas. Pretty sure the used piece of chewing gum I left in an undisclosed spot in the mid 1990s is still there. I will say we ate dinner at the jousting/medieval show one time and that was highly entertaining.

The shows are awesome. The casino was good. The room was free so who can complain about that? The spa was nice and well kept. Don't order biscuits and gravy from room service; you'd be better off going to McDonald's and won't pay $30 dollars. The steak and eggs where supbar as well, considering the price.

Good for a cheap place to stay while on the strip. They charge for parking but its easy to get in and out and gives you parking access to other parking lots owned by MGM. Casino is relatively clean and there's some food places inside. Its on the southern end of the strip and the rooms are fine if you just need a place to crash at the end of a long day. Towels weren't the fluffiest, but they got you dry. Cheap rooms on the strip and perfect if you just need a clean place to stay the night, stow your things, and then get ready to hit the city again.

My husband and I stayed here for a week. We upgraded to a king superior room and we were given a deal by a very friendly gentleman at check-in. The upgrade was worth it to be able to have a fridge for snacks, and for having a deep-soaking tub for our feet at the end of each day in Vegas. We were nervous about the hotel before we arrived; we had read in reviews and travel guides that it was noisy, old, and "the cheapo hotel", however we chose it because my parents had no issue when they had stayed there. It was still a very nice hotel, even if it was not as posh as the hotels toward the north end of the strip. We thought it was comparable to the high-end hotels our home city. It was not noisy or old, and we certainly felt that we got more than we paid for. We were taken good care of by housekeeping and staff, and everyone wore a smile. One word of caution: the concierge service will try to sell you on a time share presentation - if you are willing to sit through a 3 hour presentation it would be worth it to get cheaper tickets to shows. However, my husband and I were not going to sacrifice that much time from our vacation. I highly recommend this hotel to frugal couples looking for a fun vacation. You will get comfort and cleanliness for minimal expense.

I've only visited Excalibur to shop and eat. It is one of my favorite hotels on the strip. It possesses the whimsical quality that I do love about Las Vegas.

Excalibur is a family friendly hotel. Because minors cannot be on the casino floor it is a very segregated hotel. Food, shopping and entertainment can be easily accessed away from the casino floor. It creates a less open feel then some other casinos but that is helped by the castle feel of the place.

There have been recent renovations to the food court that leaves it with a nice, crisp, feel. More family mall than gambling experience, it is still worth the walk through.

Beautiful pool but keep in mind if staying in the late fall (mid October) on, most of the pool is closed. Wish they would told me this. Besides that, rooms are OK and price is good for what you get. Never had a chance to see the knights fighting in the arena but that is probably a big selling feature for the whole family yo enjoy. I would recommend this hotel.

Nice place, good return for your money. The service could be a bit better though, as in friendlier people and maybe not hiring customer service staff that can't communicate well in English. I'm a foreigner myself, but some of the people walking the floor trying to sell us stuff couldn't speak very well, it ended up in a couple of a awkward conversations. That being said, it was only two people and it wasn't the desk staff.

Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a cool place on the strip with a pool and energy, but don't want to dish out too much money.

I like Excalibur, overall. They put us in a room at the end of the corridor, which is easily 150 to 200 yards from the elevator. That grew old fast, in addition to the registration desk being far from either tower. But the room is comfortable. The pool is a good time, and the location is very convenient to other resorts via walking, tram, and monorail. I'd stay again, but never in a room number ending in 01 or 02!

My husband and I went to the King's Tournament dinner and show. It was loads of fun and full of cool pyrotechnics. The food was alright, nothing amazing but certainly not bad tasting. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We played in the arcade area too and had a great time.

The line to check in was like nothing I've ever seen! Waited over an hour to check in! Really... They knew the tournaments were going on .. Could have hired more staff to handle check in ... Housekeeping came in , I stepped out in the hallway, while he vacuumed... One hour later, I noticed he had ran over my phone charger and ruined it... Didn't say a word...

The best option in LV to stay if you don't wan't to pay a lot for a hotel. Great location. Nice pools. Perfect complex of restaurants inside. ASK RECEPTIONIST FOR A ROOM AS HIGH AS IT'S POSSIBLE. I GOT A ROOM ON THE 24th FLOOR. THE VIEW IS UNFORGETTABLE!

The standard hotel room was very nice. The beds were comfortable and the TV was good.

The bathrooms were very nice including the sinks and shower.

The location was fine, as it sat at the beginning of the Las Vegas strip. And all employees were eager to help and did just that.

I like the look of the outside and the theme that is made to look like but once you go inside and in your room there is no more medieval theme at all just plan uniform colors and carpets as all the hallways and other room areas. The room I was assigned was facing he back of the hotel with a wonderful view of the roof with AC units and parking garage. The pool is very nice with a bar and areas to relax and enjoy or take a dip in the water as well. Most of the places to eat are fast food companies and not much else.
Its not bad but could be a better experience and you do get a reasonable rate for the rooms too
