Green Key Eco-Rating Program 4

With more than 1,200 hotels certified in Canada since its inception in the 1990s, the Green Key Eco-Rating Program awards hotels an environmental rating of one to five Green Keys. Green Key members are then given guidance on how to "unlock" opportunities to reduce operating costs and environmental impacts - and in turn earn more keys.

The Green Key audit looks at nine major areas of sustainable hotel operations:
• Energy conservation
• Water conservation
• Solid waste management
• Hazardous waste management
• Indoor air quality
• Community outreach
• Building infrastructure
• Land use
• Environmental management

WWF

WWF aims to build a future where human needs are met in harmony with nature.

It is focused on 6 ambitious goals with people at the center:
WWF's work has evolved from saving species and landscapes to addressing the larger global threats and forces that impact them. Recognizing that the problems facing our planet are increasingly more complex and urgent. The new strategy puts people at the center and organizes our work around six key areas: forests, marine, freshwater, wildlife, food and climate. By linking these six areas in an integrated approach, WWF can direct all resources to protecting vulnerable places, species and communities worldwide.

People are at the center because together we can change the trajectory of the threats to nature, and help ensure nature's ability to provide - for the sake of every living thing, including ourselves. To accomplish goals, WWF works to educate and influence people into making sustainable choices and decisions, including those who work in business and make decisions around the use of natural resources, and those who work in government and set policy that impacts nature.

Personnel were very nice,. Food was good, but overall state and cleanliness did not meet my expectations. There was a beer festival going on, so I can understand that the place may have been overwhelmed. But there were signs of neglect and not meeting standard. Mission statement was to have the customer leave with a memorable experience. They did succeed in their mission, but not for all the right reasons.

A mixed bag. The views are great. The restaurant attached to the hotel took 45 minutes to cook a burger. And the crowd was minimal. The wait staff were however vere helpful and did a good job supporting a slow kitchen. Go for the views, skip the restaurant.

Beautiful hotel. Lots of great things to do here. Excellent pool, spa, and gym. Fantastic food. Views for days. A highlight for me was the bar at night. Lots of people listening and singing along with a great piano player and singer. Lots of stuff to do in the surrounding area as well. Highly recommended!

The staff here are excellent! They were all so nice! The access to the awesome view of St Lawrence River is great. The gym, and the pools are great here. They had a steam sauna that works well and smells really good. The reason why I removed one start is that our room isn't really anything special. Usually, we stay in 2 or 3 stars hotel, but this room wasn't that much of an upgrade. But, the Manoir is beautiful! Maybe if you pay for a more expensive room, it's better. But 500$ for an average room isn't a great deal to be honest.
