Business or pleasure...
The hotel is a popular and convenient meeting place for business people. We cater for conferences & other small business events.
All of our light and airy en-suite bedrooms have views over our extensive 2-acre gardens and some over the Axe Valley. All rooms have freeview television, radio, telephone, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities (with Devon fresh milk), soft white duvets and Egyptian cotton towels.
Tucked away in peaceful open countryside and approached down leafy lanes of Hawkchurch, the 'village of roses', the Fairwater Head Hotel is a mere 4 miles from Axminster and 5 miles from Lyme Regis and the Jurassic coast - England's first natural World Heritage Site which covers 95 miles of truly stunning coastline from east Devon to Dorset, with rocks recording 185 million years of the Earth's history.
With its flower filled lanes and ancient hedgerows, Hawkchurch nestles high above the eastern slopes of the River Axe on the Devon and Dorset border.
The area is steeped in history with many of the area's fine houses, gardens, cathedrals, monasteries, and castles dating back to the time when Sir Francis Drake and Sir Walter Raleigh had homes in the West Country. Because of the area's prosperous legacy, this area of England abounds with places of historical and architectural interes

Really cosy little hotel, really recommend, although shower is a bit weak and it's a bit out of the way, otherwise great place to stay if you're looking to stay in the Charmouth/Dorset area

If you want somewhere tranquil to stay then you will struggle to find a hotel quieter than this. Good service, good food and good rooms. Pet friendly too. It is isolated, the nearest pub is a good 15 minutes walk, but for a break away from the world and mobile phone signals it's good.
