Beautiful hotel! Great location on the harbor and near casino. At first the place looks hard to navigate. However you get used to it quickly. They also have an app to help with navigation.

The facilities are made for conferences! I believe they have over 2000 rooms. Hotel is also 10 to 15 min from Regan Airport. Dulles is much farther away.

The hotel is beautiful. The area surrounding it is awesome. Nice to walk around and grab some food and shop. Being on the water is nice. Close to new casino, downtown DC, and Alexandria. Rooms are well kept and service is great.

This is a huge resort and conference centre close to the banks of the Potomac river just outside of Washington DC. From Dulles airport it's about a 30 minute car or cab journey. It has all the facilities you could need, shops, restaurants, gym, swimming pool and the like. The rooms are large and comfortable with ironing, coffee making facilities and a small refrigerator. In addition, there is a safe for keeping valuables secure. Staff are friendly and very efficient.

I love this hotel! I went with my family and we had the best time. The sports bar, lobby lounge and breakfast buffet had delicious food and drinks. The hotel entertained us with an evening light show visible from our Atrium View room and we attended a Silent Disco at the Lobby Lounge which was so much fun for me, my family and the other guests that attended also. Also there is so much to do outside of the hotel and everything is close by. Can’t wait to come back and visit again.

Very large medium high end resort / conference center. If wanted you can moderately keep entertained without even leaving given the small shops, restaurants, and coffee shop. There is also a shopping center right outside the main entrance with a few stores, bars, etc. The steakhouse is absolutely amazing and a must try. Overall all its a solid mid-high end standard conference / resort. I imagine something like the various resorts in the Catskills when they still had that new resort smell.

Absolutely beautiful. Their indoor atrium is simply amazing, light shows over water falls at night, pretty typical resort pricing but with so many great places right outside its doors, you are walking distance to a myriad of fun places to check out that have really great pricing to fit any budget. Check pout the Ferris wheel and grab a lobster roll while you're there. And everytime you're walking back to this place you're going to be in awe with the atrium, it's just amazing. And if you're here for a convention for your company, the food they cater is spot on and superb. Plus they have an awesome pool, and a fun club upstairs with an amazing view.

Stayed here once and attended conventions here for five years. The staff is always friendly and helpful even when you're not staying in the hotel. Operations were all very well organized. My room was very clean. Parking was not super close to my room, but there is a lot of it.

The Gaylord is close to and contains a good selection of dining options.

Beautiful views from many parts of the hotel. I love the little arcade inside the hotel. I never shop there, but it still adds to the nice atmosphere.

What a beautiful resort! A gem on the coast of the historic Potomac River caters to the fanciest of tastes, with in-house bars, restaurants, and roof-top club, not to mention a variety of amenities, shops, and quick access to a riverside community brimming with culture and diversity. I visited for the gorgeous convention center but found myself enjoying more than the education. Water taxis, a Ferris wheel, and endless river walks lend to an experience barely rivaled in any part of this historic piece of the United States. Highly recommend!

I rate a hotel based on their shower water pressure, ventilation, and shower head. Call me weird, but I feel like it separates a good hotel from a bad one, for the most part.

This hotel has the best shower head, the water pressure is perfect and not slow or weak. The ventilation is good in that it doesn’t stay humid in the bathroom, and the shower head puts out a great spray, and wide spray of water.

I hate it when you take a hot shower but you’re cold the whole time cause the shower head sucks and the water pressure is basically non existent.

The room is cozy, the hotel is awesome, and the sites are awesome.

It is huge, I got lost the first couple times, and you may have to walk to your room a little farther than most hotels. But I just see it as exercise. The harbor is amazing too. If I come to DC this is where I’ll be staying each time.

Very nice overall facility. It has great amenities, and is extremely large and is located in a great area within walking distance to several resturants and shops, not including the shops and restaurants on the property itself. The rooms are a bit worn and have dated decor, bit they are clean and well maintained. Do expect typical issues with this large of a property, however, as I saw a pile of trash sitting next to the elevators for the whole three day stay that I was here. The fitness center is large and up to date, and the employees are happy and willing to help with anything.

Need I say more than Amazing! Lashonda...hope I spell that right was the best front desk person you could have. Great personality and we arrived at 2 am after a 15 hr drive and she made us feel so welcome. I can’t tell you how much we appreciate that. This is our first time in Washington and I’m impressed. The hotel from the looks of it is absolutely beautiful. I’m here for a conference but my husband and kids are going to sight see while I am learning. Your staff are top notch and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the week holds. There will be no other place that I stay but here if I’m ever back in Washington DC.

This is a first-class Marriott hotel and the prices for room and food are commensurate with top-quality accommodations. My only gripe is the parking garage operation. We had to wait almost half-hour to exit the garage while the line ahead of us paid their parking fees. I'm glad we allowed plenty of time to get to the airport!

The hotel is located in a pleasant village of restaurants, shops, and attractions within easy walking distance. There is a river walk with lovely views.

What a wonderful place for any event. We are there for the American Military University. The venue was clean, well lit, staff friendly & knowledgeable. The lavatories easily accessible & super clean. The vendor's were neat & well organized. Thanks to riggers, maintenance, audio visual staff and volunteers.

We had such a fun staycation! The rooms are very nice, and there is so much to do for the whole family. In the summer they have the splash pad, and in the winter the indoor pool would be a blast.

The hotel itself is gorgeous, and all of the National Harbor shops are a very short, and charming walk.

Room service rates were very reasonable, and they have a great variety of food and beverages all over the hotel.

For breakfast, the buffet was great!! Everyone was very happy. The kids want to live there!

My sister's and I took my Mom here for her birthday. We had a great time. We checked in and then took a bus to MGM casino which was free from the hotel. We came back for dinner at the Gaylord and ate at the sports bar. We had the loaded nachos which were fabulous. After we ate we walked around outside and sat by the water. It was very quiet and peaceful. At 8 that night we were guests to a live band and laser show in the atrium. It was great. We were all very impressed with the hotel overall and would definitely do It again. All staff went above and beyond to meet our needs.

The Gaylord is a beautiful hotel. The indoor atrium had lovely businesses for getting a drink, breakfast, or some coffee, and everything is very good. The rooms are pleasant, and some of them have a great view of the river or atrium. Mine, unfortunately, had a rather unimpressive view of a roof with some general growing on top. The location had multiple great restaurants and attractions within walking distance, and a pleasant waterfront to walk along in the evening (though the water was muddy and not terribly attractive this trip). It is, of course, quite and expensive hotel, but if you feel like splurging on a nice room (or are here for a conference in the company dime) it's a great place to stay.

We only stayed here because MGM cost too much, but you get what you pay for... Or sometimes less. First, this hotel is massive and not designed well so unless you're in an Atrium do you may have a very long walk. The rooms were nothing special, clean and we'll appointed, but with walls so thin we could hear both sides of our neighbor's phone conversation. Check in was backed up and front desk not particularly friendly when we got there. The pool us indoor only and was packed with kids. They looked like they were having a blast, but it was not an adult-friendly space. Outdoors by the pool was better, but neither of the tiny hot tubs was working. For the money, next time we'll probably just stay at the Hampton Inn nearby or one of the other hotels in the area. I expected more from the Gaylord.

This is a beautiful place. I'm not sure but I believe all the rooms have a balcony overlooking the atrium and the Potomac which is just magnificent. I was sure to spend some time sitting on the balcony, sipping coffee, doing a crossword, and people watching. There is so much going on. I was fascinated by how many birds live inside the building but there are plenty of trees, foliage, and nesting areas. I think they are some kind of wren protected from the larger predatory birds gliding around just outside. Also a great place to watch the planes come into the airport. It's a great way to have the comfort of the inside while feeling like you are outside. And if you should venture outside, the waterfront and shopping is just a short walk right outside the door!

Pricing for a room was reasonable... But it was under a conference rate. The room was very clean and all the normal amenities we're provided. Staff that I interacted with we're pleasant. The hotel is beautiful with gorgeous sights. There are a few food options within the hotel, but several options for different types within very short walking distance.

We attended the international gems jewelry show. We had a great time. Once you got to the correct Hall they had a map of the vendors. The aisles were wide for lots of foot traffic or wheelchairs to maneuver through. Though if you're in a wheelchair or scooter some of the display tables might be set up a bit too high to see comfortably. There was good ventilation and the temperature was quite comfortable inside. It never felt stuffy. The vendors are friendly. After the show closed and we were walking around the city one of the vendors recognized us and greeted us warmly, like old friends. As for the hotel itself there could have been much better direction and labeling to get us to the show. There were signs posted at odd places and random corners that were hard to see and yes, the location was mentioned but no arrows or directions were on the sign. We found an interactive map kiosk which was really cool but if you're not all that proficient with technology it was awkward to use but we got it figured out and found where we were supposed to be (3 floors down!) We explored done if the hotel. There is tons to do and places to eat. The bathrooms were great. So it was a nice place to visit. Maybe one day we can do an actual stay in the hotel. But they do really need to do better about directions!

This is a gorgeous hotel and resort! It's clean, modern and impressive. The rooms are spacious, with double sinks in the bathroom. It appears that all rooms have a view of the bridge and harbor. There are multiple bars, restaurants and many shops. Also a Spa and gym, neither of which I visited. Really, this place is a nice as any 5-Star Resort. We dined at the Steakhouse and both the food and service was excellent. We had lunch twice at the Sports Bar and same experience, food and service both outstanding.

An amazing property with atrium views overlooking the Potomac River. Kyle greeted us when we checked in and was very helpful in pointed out all of the amenities the hotel had to offer. The hotel is surrounded by upscale shopping and fantastic restaurants. The area is clean, safe and easy to walk around.

We saw a fireworks display in front of the hotel music performances in the town and several weddings. Our room was huge and the views of the river and D.C. were breathtaking.

Was here for a company Christmas party. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly from the cost check to the main dining experience. The drinks both mixed and not alcoholic were made to order and perfected. The food was great tasting and we'll presented. The atmosphere was wonderful as well. The rooms that were rented were well decorated and well prepared. From white table clothes, polished silverware, name tags, to attention to small details such as glitter, candles and fresh flowers. The view from here from rooms and patio were breathtaking. Can't wait to go back! Thank you for making it a wonderful experience and a memorable company Christmas party 2017!

Overall, it's a nice hotel. Easy to navigate and the large, open area in the center makes you feel like you are outside, which is nice. Oddly, there are very poor breakfast options - there is one restaurant that only offers an expensive buffet, a small do-it-all convenience store, and an awful coffee shop. The breakfast sandwich I got from there was $8 and relatively disturbing to look at. If they added a better breakfast option, this would be a great place to attend a conference or stay while visiting. Nice fitness area with an indoor pool and and whirl pool. Rooms are relatively modern.

Full disclosure: I was there as part of a convention and did not have to pay for my room. That being said, the hotel itself is beautiful. They put a lot of care and detail into their attention to detail - especially at Christmas time. The hotel itself is within walking distance to an outdoor shopping area with lots of restaurants and cool stores. They are also a pickup spot for the "moonlight monument" tour, which made it super easy to see the best of Washington D.C. The only downside is the food in the hotel itself is really overpriced for what you get and not really that tasty. It's much cheaper and tastier to get something delivered from Uber Eats.

I really enjoyed my time here. The place allowed my family to stay on the grounds and not have to go anywhere else. The ice show was amazing. When they say dress for the occasion you definitely need to put on your layers, and put on the coat that they supply. It was below freezing for the amazing sculptures. I saw people not watching their children who were touching and trying to taste the art.😕

An amazing place to visit and stay. I went for the CADCA convention and when I got there, all of the staff were nice and courteous. Getting a room is easy and the establishment is kept clean. One of the floors has a small town with animals, trees, restaurants, and small shops to visit. I didn't need to leave the hotel to get a good breakfast and I loved that. Amazing place and would recommend 100%.

This place is lovely. I booked a room for my birthday March 3rd just to experience the Pose Lounge and it was beautiful. I had an Atrium Room and the feel of being able to go out on the balcony and still be inside the property was beautiful and quiet other than me and my cousin laughing like crazy. The DJ was on point and the Lounge itself was great with a view across the river. They do not have food in the lounge, only drinks but there are restaurants on the property. The prices are a little bit up there but I will most definitely stay here again but the next time I will spend the night.

Wow! National Harbor isn't just a location, it's an experience. The entire place is gorgeous and The Gaylord is the crown jewel (sorry MGM Casino). It is the perfect place for a convention, especially during the cold months. It actually feels and looks like you are outside. It is incredibly beautiful. Also perfect for a romantic weekend, but PLEASE check to see if a convention is booked for the weekend you would like to reserve.

This is one of the most beautiful designed hotels I have seen. I have been here for special events in winter and spring and both times have their own charm. The inside of the hotel has a little village with stores and restaurants that are inside small houses. The court yard It self has a large glass roof and glass wall so you feel as though you are outside. The hotel rooms have balconies that face inside to this lovely court yard. It is just a sight to see and even more so in the winter when they decorate the village for Christmas.

Very beautiful place. I went on a conference during the Christmas time and the entire hotel was decked out and made me feel very content and happy. The little village of shops made me feel like I was in a Santa movie. The service and rooms are very good. Highly recommend. May be a little expensive but definitely worth the trip.

The Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center is a lovely hotel. There are many rooms of varying sizes for the conference to have breakout sessions and the exhibit hall. I stayed here for 5 nights for the conference. The hotel room was very nice, spacious, with the usual hotel room items. The hotel is difficult to navigate and many people had trouble locating their rooms. From the room to the conference area is a long walk, then in between session rooms is a hike too. It's a large and expansive conference center, maybe too big. National Harbor is awesome with shops, restaurants and cool things to look at.

My husband and I have stayed here several times. Such a beautiful place. Banquets, charity events, weddings and other celebrations can be held in their eloquent ballrooms. They offer valet parking as well as self parking. You'll also be able to take a free shuttle to the National Harbor casino. The staff are very polite and friendly and so are fellow guests. The rooms are wonderful. Very comfortable beds with great views. You will be in awe at the beautiful decor throughout the establishment. Great complimentary breakfast. Will definitely be back!

I stayed at this place for 6 days attending a conference. The overall experience was good. They have got the room with some amazing harbor front views. If you walk outside the street, there are lot of places to hang around and some great food to taste. The resort is well maintained with some good courteous, skillful and welcoming staff. Ideally this place is good for conferences and events. Having said that doesn't mean that someone can't come over on a personal visit, but there are various options available by Marriott on the Harbor front side.

Went here for ICE. We walked around the hotel to check it out and I was very impressed. There was a dance competition going on at the same time so the room rates went up as there were not any rooms available. I'd love to stay here for a night or two the next time we visit the National Harbour. With the on-site eating and many choices locally, if you can get a room and plan to stay for a night or two I highly recommend the Gaylord over the other, even thought also very nice, other local hotels.

Cons: everything in and around the Gaylord is vastly overpriced, like the $22 buffet of reheated frozen pasta, or $18 just for parking. Partly that's just National Harbor, so if you have to be in the area, Gaylord isn't that much worse than average.

Pros: the Gaylord is a much larger convention center than I expected. It's got its own little village of shops and restaurants inside the courtyard. It's way expensive, but super convenient during the icy Winter months.

Overall, it's not a great resort, because National Harbor smells like a harbor. But if you're going to be there anyway, the Gaylord is the best choice.

If you just need to be in the DC area, there are much cheaper places, closer to transit. Like anywhere in MD on the red line, or anywhere in VA on the silver and orange lines.

Attended 2 days of MAGfest in January 2018 and had a blast! This hotel is really suited fire large events. Everything was beautiful and clean even with thousands attending the convention. The staff were pleasant and helpful, never seeming bothered by the chaos of the event, but rather enjoying it. The bathrooms were amazingly clean and well tended. The parking was plentiful and reasonably priced for the DC area. It's super easy to get to and a wonderful venue.

Lovely place, so much more than a "Hotel". Beautiful indoor atrium. Several inside restaurants and convenience shops with top notch food an drinks. The lobby bar is lovely. All staff in the resort go above and beyond to ensure you're happy & satisfied.
Couldn't be happier with this "resort hotel". Atrium has many shops for almost everything and has running streams, ponds and fountains. It is most lovely during Christmas time, with indoor decorations with hourly lively laser & fountain shows with a beautiful indoor glass Christmas tree featured in the show. I highly recommend it!

I spent to weekend there on a retreat and had the best time. The hotel is located near DC in MD. The hotel room was spacious with the custom amenities that most modern hotels carry. Our room was clean, came with basic TV, free wireless high-speed internet, and a great view of the harbor looking into Alexandria, VA. The restaurant has shopping, restaurants, entertainment, year round pool, Jacuzzi, and great staff. I even visited the nightclub for a bit. The club was in the top level and was a sprawling space with a great night view. The music was a contemporary mix of things. Near by you have a ton of restaurant and shopping. A shuttle can take you to the MGM casino and other locations. I had a great time and encourage others to stay there if they are going to be in the area.

This place is INCREDIBLE!!! Pictures of this place tells a good story, but being there is another story. My family and I never stayed there but man, from the Christmas spectacular show, to the shops and restaurants there, to the atrium thats really huge... if you like amazing views. Very festive during the holidays and crowded... and its right on the national harbor where there's many restaurants and other attractions. So, if crowds and traffic... AND the fact that there's a casino nearby (MGM)... if these things don't bother you then the Gaylord National Harbor Hotel is a nice place to check out

I recently went to ICE at Gaylord National Resort in National Harbor. It was amazing!! The exhibit itself was very nice, beautifully put together and so festive. All the staff members were very nice. The area is great as well. Lots of great shops and restaurants. The hotels were beautifully decorated for the holidays and the dinner we had at Succotash was DELICIOUS!! We visit every year for the holidays and it never disappoints.

Incredible resort hotel. We had a company event at the resort and it went off very nicely. The holiday light show is impressive. Food is very good. There is also a lot do to at National Harbor. Only warning is that this place is big, so you may have a lot of walking

The hotel has great views of the river and walkable to the attractions around National Harbor. The lobby is treat to just walk around and enjoy feeling like your outdoors but nestled inside. Plenty of pricey places to eat, fitness room, pool and no need to leave the resort. My 4.5 stars are only because the rooms are ready for an update to be 5 star. The cleanliness of the room was perfect down to the corners. The toiletry products are my favorite Gilchrist & Soames. We are here for the hotel winter lights decor which go off every hour 6-9pm. There is also a singing show, paid seating if you want to be up front 6:30 & 7:30pm. The annual Gaylord attraction of ICE is impressive. We went for the hotel package with tickets & photo included and hotel credit to eat here. We enjoyed the massive ice sculptures, this year's theme Rudolph. I would recommend this little whole overnight activity to spoil yourself and anyone of any age.

Gaylord facility is a beautiful and modern facility. The indoor atrium city is georgeius and the hotel rooms are clean and comfortable, though a bit pricey for an otherwise unremarkable room. The atrium area needs more food options, and while beautiful, would be more inviting, memorable and warm (and I am sure profitable) if a more diverse fare was offered and the space was designed around an experience and not around an appearance. Good news is there are plenty of food options just down the street. Overall would recommend a visit for the architecture or for the event, but would stay down the street.

I love this place, the last time I went it was 2008. So to see it all completed and decorated during Christmas. It was just amazing. Valet was great! A little hiccup with our room but we really enjoyed ourselves. Even with all the kids in the resort, the Ice show and Breakfast with Rudolph was very organized to family of multiples. It was awesome.

Staying as a guest during a convention. I haven't had much of a chance to explore the area around the hotel, though from the window it seems all new. The room is suitable, the convention space is very large, the meeting rooms on the side of the convention space are also very nice. Mostly the front desk workers have been very friendly and accommodating with any questions I have had. The Atrium and bar area has restaurants and a very engaging atmosphere. It's a nice place.

My recent visit to the Gaylord National Resort was spectacular. My room was a standard double queen, which was a very nice room. I was able to look out onto the Pitomic River from my room which was a very nice bonus. The lobby, atrium and conference areas were amazing. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel and conference center.

I love this place but be prepared to walk. Be sure to get on the correct elevators. The room was clean. I had a room with an Atrium view and it was sweet. The beds were comfortable. The check-in line was slow for a Saturday evening as they did not seem to have many people working the front desk. I visited The sports bar and it was very spacious and The bartender great and food came quick. The sky lounge was nice as it is for hotel guests only. It has great views. Check-out was quick. The parking is expensive... Self Parking is $30 or Valet $45, I was not planning to move my car so I just parked in the public parking garage across the street for $18.00 very short 2 minute walk which is probably the same distance.

We spent our Wedding Night in one of their corner suites with a vast view of the river in mostly all of the two walls of windows. The layout and style appointments were meticulous. We had a living room, dining room, sitting room, bedroom and a bathroom that connected two ends of the suite giving quick access between the spacious entrance AREA and the bedroom. Outside of the room, there is so much great stuff to do indoors and on the grounds outdoors. Our great regret was thinking that this place was good for just one night preceding our travels to our official honeymoon. We definitely should have planned to stay several days. And, we will return to do so!

Beautiful and grand facilities. Awesome view of the Potomac River and National Harbor area. Great waterfront area, shops and restaurants in the National Harbor complex that are walkable. Staff wasn't especially friendly and food was OK at the on-site restaurants. Parking on site is $12 per hour! Park across the street at the public garage for $6/hr, Max $18/day.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. You could never leave the premise and still have plenty to do. The restaurants were good and there was a variety. Plus, the place is beautiful and seems brand new.
I really only had two complaints. First, the place is huge. It seemed to take forever to walk to our room. I got off the elevator and it seemed like I walked for ages before I reached the end of the hall where our room was located. I don't mind walking, but this was crazy. Really not a big deal, but I wish I grabbed a luggage cart when we checked in.
Second, there is a lobby bar that has a beautiful view of the atrium. We went at Happy Hour and it was madness. There were only two bartenders working and it seemed like half the hotel was having a drink. As you can imagine, service was terrible and the bartenders were not very accommodating or polite. But, what do you expect when they were clearly overwhelmed and overworked. I feel the hotel could have done better in this respect.
Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay and would stay again.

The convention center itself was really impressive and worth visiting for a walk around. I went with a pair of friends who told me that the Christmas decorations are amazing as well. I would definitely visit again but I would go out of my way to not have to buy anything within the center itself because they do serious up charging. It is not a cheap area but they (the Starbucks in particular) somehow take that even further.

Went for National Convention. Rooms are mice and spacious. Beautiful building with relaxed atmosphere Indoor pool and gym are a nice plus.
Comfy beds, pillows are a bit soft.
All the staff were very courteous.
Difficulty with room key working for parking garage.
Light and water show at 9pm.
Located inside National Harbor which has become a neighbor onto itself. You can find anything you need...for an up price.

This is the BEST hotel EVER ! We celebrated our 10 year anniversary in the national harbor and im glad we chose this location. Everyone we came in contact with was super helpful and friendly. My husband and I were treated with first class service! they have trained their staff very well the hotel room was clean and comfy. This hotel is very big with lots of things to do . We fell in love with the rooftop area we were able to relax have some drinks ,enjoy some good music and walk right back to our suite ! I would definitely recommend this for everyone! KUDOS Gaylord keep up the good work!

I attended our yearly convention here. Beautiful place. The most impressive part was when I was waiting on a class to start I really needed a cup of black coffee. I asked the gentleman that worked here if they had coffee in the room and he said no but he would be happy to get me a cup from in back. Now that is going above and beyond. Very impressed with the service here.

I stayed at Gaylord National Resort in August fora convention. I needed a screw for my flag pole topper. I asked the front desk for assistance and Tracie from maintenance was called. She listened carefully to my request and asked to take the part needing the screw so she would get the correct size. She took my room number and phone number. In a short time she was back with two choices. She even walked with me to another part of the convention center with a screw driver in case it was needed. She was extremely helpful and pleasant. It made what could have been a very frustrating situation go very smoothly..

My stay was for a work conference. The staff was very professional and helpful. I had a nice view of the Potomac and the Capital Wheel from my room. It's a great place to go for a couples weekend. If you bring the family the laser show in the Atrium is fun for the kids.

The place is pricey, but, it's well worth it. The housekeeping department goes out of their way to make sure that your stay is pleasant. Karen in housekeeping, is truly the best. She takes care of the 2000 to 2014 section. So ask for a room in this section on the second floor, and you're sure to meet her.

Visited the hotel a few times now. The arboretum is pretty and has a few restaurants. The main lobby is clean and the reception is huge for the large number of guests. There are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops only blocks away. The water front is right outside and there is a long walkway along the river. The rooms are big and clean. The bathrooms are huge with a door between the main restroom and the sinks. The conference center is massive. Parking was free for me. Biggest thing, skip the valet front and go to the left side. Smaller entrance but not massively congested.

Stayed here for 3 nights in mid-July for a conference. The conference facilities are very nice and the food served there was very good. The room I was in was horrible though. First off, I reserved a king bed (when I booked 2 months prior to the event) and got two queen beds instead. So, I asked for a room with a view of the harbor to compensate. The staff at the front desk told me she did so, but when I got to the room, I have a full view of the parking/unloading lanes in front of the hotel. Also, my furniture was scratched, I was given disposable plastic drinking glasses (the kind you get at a Motel 6), the TV is small and disproportionate to the size of the room, and the brown carpeting was heavily soiled in the normal "walking areas." Finally, my company had a gift sent to my room which we received notice it was not delivered. When we called the front desk, they said bell staff would re-deliver. Two days later, upon checkout, I told staff that I still had not received the package. They said the package was RETURNED TO THE COMPANY instead of re-delivered to my room. The staff offered no resolution/compensation for their negligence. Overall, this is a beautiful hotel (in the public areas) but the rooms are NOT up to Marriott standards, and the customer service from the front desk staff is commiserate with that of roadside motel. Unless your company is paying for you to stay here, make other arrangements for yourself.

This is a HUGE place. We had a very nice conference here. The rooms were nice and clean. Valet recovery can take up to 20-minutes, so call ahead. I would recommend and stay again. Very close to the water with nice walking available.

2* We had our national conference here. Speaking from a conference view, their staffs were slow at getting things done. Most of the time we ended up busting the tables and cleaning the conference rooms for them. Only the people in green jackets were helpful. 3.5* for the hotel side. Rooms were cleaned daily, 2 free water bottles, great amenities. Gym was big and nice. Watch out for charges to your room, it's so big ppl mistakenly charge to your room. The hotel is beautiful. Prices are expensive. Food was not that good. Room service is slow and limited. They definitely lack customer service.

Found staff to be both friendly and professional. Chamber hand on day 3 of stay went Above & Beyond duties! Rm 14-042. Alicia's table service was incredible during brunch. James at the Mini Market was a delight as well. The grounds speak for themselves. Conference rooms and conversions were on point. Well thought out common areas and hide-aways. Just an overall great experience.

Gorgeous resort!! Staff is really nice and helpful. I was in their standard room with balcony and it was nice also. There's a lot to do inside the hotel due to multiple restaurants, swimming pool, fitness center, bar, lounging area and it's walking distance to the Harbor. Definitely recommend when visiting D.C.

Hotel is spacious and pretty, the help excellent and the rooms clean. Disappointed with the area around the hotel and access to it. Dining was adequate, but don't show up with only short pants in your bags, you CAN'T eat at the steakhouse if you do. With that said...you're basically left with the Sports Bar and...oh yeah, there isn't another choice until breakfast.
Again, beautiful place, terrific staff and clean. Normally that would be enough, but not when your choices are limited and you feel stranded.

Absolutely amazing place. It's a great venue for a wedding or a prom, both of which were taking place when we were there. Even still it didn't feel crowded since the place is massive! The 9pm light and water fountain show were cool too. Getting in and out can be a bit chaotic with all of the taxis, Uber cars, and valets, but overall it was a very pleasant experience. I would highly recommend it.

It's a gorgeous location with large convention space and beautiful surroundings and decorations. The parking is fairly good. My main objection is more with National Harbor than Gaylord itself, and that's the issue of one road that enters and exits the area, which results in a lot of deadlocked traffic when you try and come into or leave the area.

Like most Gaylord properties, the resort is impressive and the large indoor atrium always puts a smile on my face. The pool is indoors and it's a little depressing. An outdoor pool, perhaps on the rooftop, would make this place perfect. They do have a high floor nightclub, but it's only open to hotel guests. The rooms are modern and clean. The bars and resturants on the property are pricey, but very nice. The location on the national harbor makes this a very fun spot, with tons to do around the hotel.

What a terrific place! It's on the beautiful National Harbor, in a newly developed area full of stores, restaurants and other hotels. And this place is mind blowing, from the moment you walk in. It's got a crazy Central lobby / atrium, that is just Woww! Some really good. Restaurants, shops, cafes,... I was here for a conference, and this was definitely the best conference venue I have been to.

This place is huge but the folks working here make it awesome. Everyone asks how you are, can I help you with anything (I've been lost a few times so that was nice), and I've had the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door but housekeeping is awesome! Ruby has made sure we have what we need, checks up without disturbing naps...wow. Lovely room, very clean and comfortable. I will be coming back and I'm surprised that a facility as large as this is as comfortable and clean as it is.

Extremely clean. Rooms spacious. Generally good views anywhere. Excellent housekeeping and friendly staff...with the exception of concierge service who was the least helpful I've ever experienced and pretty rude. National Harbor is a cool place and I will likely be back for future conferences.

The rooms are fairly nice but our room has a hard time staying cool. Seems the air constantly runs. The view from our window overlooks a grass top roof and honestly is a little bleak. Dinning at the resort can be a bit pricey as well but is on par with the other restaurants in the harbor. The staff has been very friendly by helping us navigate this very large hotel even without being asked specifically for help. The fitness center is nice and pool area was very impressive having a machine that helps disabled guests into and out of the junior Olympic sized pool.

Nice view depending on room. Everyone was friendly staff and guests. Everything felt upscale throughout. Close to other shops and bars. Valet parking retrieval could be better, but at the capacity of people staying I'm sure it couldn't be any resolved. I would stay again and recommend.

Nice property. Beautiful atrium. Great selection of restaurants. Hotel room was fine. No complaints, no wow factor; it was a room and it was fine. There are probably some rooms that have a great view of the harbor I'd guess. Convention center was great. Giant ballroom.

The hotel is very beautiful and has about 4 restaurants including a sports bar. The room is overly spacious and super clean. Only stayed one night but the bed made me feel like I slept for 2 nights. The MGM casino is not far. Also there is a really nice bar with a mechanical bull across the street

The room didn't have the greatest view (top of the convention center) but the room was clean and nice. The TV had to be rebooted to get video but not a big deal. I like the free water bottles every day and the atrium area is great. My son loved the dancing fountain. The "playhouse" is lacking but my son is young enough the handful of games was great. The staff was friendly for the most part.

Nice view, lobby and room were clean. Unloading was a problem, nowhere to unload unless we used bell service. Why pay/tip for something I can easily do myself. Had to pull the car off to the side which got dirty looks from staff. Elevators are painfully slow. Check in was slow despite having a reservation but I will mention the check in staff is very helpful and friendly. Room was fairly basic, not much more than a typical chain hotel. Probably won't stay here again, wasn't worth the price.

I enjoyed my stay at the Gaylord National. The hotel itself is extremely convenient and contains everything you would need. Especially great when attending a professional conference. There was a slight error in billing that was ultimately corrected before I left but it's the only thing that was remotely negative about my stay. Additionally, the hotel manager offered a formal apology to our entire conference for events that were, frankly, beyond their control. I felt this was going above and beyond personally. They did not have to apologize for anything but I appreciated the thought and taking the time to come and speak with us directly. Overall a great experience.

Nice rooms. If you are on the an upper inner room, beautiful atrium views. Nice to sit out in the evening and watch the sun and light show in the water-fountains below.

Be prepared to pay higher prices for anything inside the complex (snacks, food, meals, etc). To be expected for the convenience.

Wish the bathrooms were nicer especially the underwhelming water pressure in the showers. Plus now bathroom positive vents so multiple shower takers in the morning can steam things up.

Still your best option for conventions in our opinions. Convenience of not having to deal with parking (hassle IMO) across multiple days and tons of walking in and out of the convention center alone makes it a plus in our book.

Enjoyed my stay! The rooms were wonderful and the concierge were very helpful. The fitness room, and pool were easy to get to. The open terrace offered multiple places to sit and eat, drink, and socialize. Once out of the hotel, there was what was like a small community of shops, restaurants, and dock. I enjoyed strolling through the streets, eating amazing food, and enjoying the scenic views. Easy access to DC and the monuments. Very happy with my stay!

I have been going to the Gaylord convention center since it's grand opening. The staff has always been helpful and very kind. Outside of the convention center there are many places to shop and eat. There is a good mixture of adult and family fun. For the hotel, the rooms are very spacious. If you are not able to get a room looking over the water, do not fret. The hotel design will take your breath away.

BEAUTIFUL!!!! We took our kids here for Christmas to see ICE and we loved every minute of it. The lobby and hotel is gorgeous, the staff is very accommodating and it is situated on the water which makes for a beautiful view outside of the hotel as well. We were so very impressed with this hotel and the ICE display was also as impressive. The only complaint we did have was breakfast accommodations. There are a few restaurants within the hotel grounds but only one served a full breakfast. The wait was extremely long to get into this restaurant. It would be nice to see them open other restaurants during peak times so they could better accommodate larger crowds of people. Overall we had a wonderful time and would recommend that you visit at least once a year!

We just went to see the Christmas decorations, which were nice. There was also a nice show with lights and music coordinated with the fountain in the atrium. We didn't have dinner there because all of the restaurants except one had less then four star ratings. The one restaurant with a decent rating was a steakhouse, but we weren't in the mood for steak.

ICE is great, must try at least once. Light show at night was cool. Rooms were clean and as expected for a Marriott. We had 3 hotel rooms and at the end of our stay 2 rooms had random charges that they could not tell us what they were from, they were removed upon questioning. Service at national pastime (restaurant in the hotel) was slow and the kids burgers were under cooked.

We had an amazing view of the atrium and all the festive activities. It was clean and spacious. Took advantage of the free shuttle to the new MGM casino near by. Enjoyed delightful dining experiences at both the MGM and Gaylord hotel. Staffers were very happy to assist wherever we were, and that was refreshing to see. The only downside was the shuttle service being delayed. We almost missed our dinner reservation.

This is a really beautiful hotel and the whole holiday experience during ICE! makes for a full day of entertainment. This was our 4th year of attending ICE!, and we enjoyed other events such as the Elf Scavenger Hunt, the Christmas Village with rides, and the beautifully decorated courtyard. In the past, my kids have enjoyed the character breakfast and gingerbread making. We've also attended ICE! at the Gaylord in Orlando, and this Gaylord feels a little smaller. But with its beautiful location on the river so close to DC, my husband and I were just saying how we'd love to spend the night next year to soak in extra holiday festivities, even though we only live about 20 minutes away.

I was totally blown away the moment I saw The Gaylord National @ Pat. G. County, MD!
I was visiting with my Uncle and Aunt and they took me there for the Annual Christmas Ice Show.
This year's theme was "Christmas Around the World" and it was absolutely breathtaking!
We took a ride to the Penthouse to savor the view and I was mesmerized by the Ferris Wheel across the water. It was at night, and the light's reflection on the water was just gorgeous.
We walked down to the water and I pleasantly tickled at the metal art sculptures rising out of the sand...quite ingenious.
I signed up for a chance to win a free staycation and hope I win so that I can have the full experience.
Gaylord National, you ROCK!!!

Wow friendly staff! I guess when you pay $400 a night or $7 for one bud light at the hotel bar you better get some friendly service! Aside from the astronomical price of basically everything at this hotel it's very clean, bright and professionally run.

We are staying at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center for the IJO Show. It was just under a 20 minute drive from the airport in DC. National Harbor has a variety of shops and restaurants. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. We had a 2 queens room, we are on the inside wall of rooms so it is a bit of a walk from the elevator if that would be a concern. The convention center is very easy to find and navigate. The atrium is easily my favorite part of the hotel. It's large and airy, it really gives the feeling of being outside. The hidden fountain is lovely and there is a very nice collection of little shops in it. Overall I very much enjoyed our stay here!

Fenced in like Alcatraz. Everything is nice and beautiful inside the gates. But outside looking in? No chance my friends! The hotel is fantastic, with excellent accommodations. Great convention center space. The location is problematic if you plan to go elsewhere; no public transit in the area, all the shops and restaurants are costly, and parking is ridiculously expensive. Not quite as terrible if you intend to stay local for a convention, though don't expect to eat cheap. The drive to D.C. Isn't horrible, fifteen minutes to downtown without traffic - but it's D.C., so realize there WILL be traffic.
