Great rooms. Great customer service. Easy transport to centre of Amsterdam. Lovely scenery. Excellent food. I definitely would stay here again!

Hotel lies only a few minutes (by car / taxi) away from the Arena. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The room we stayed in was adequate but a bit dated but the beds are good which was all we really needed.

Cheap hotel that is just a little too far out. Value is good but travelling time to Amsterdam might be a deal breaker.
There is a 10 to 15min walk to the train station and then trams from the edge of the city. All in all about 45 mins to get to the attractions.
The rooms are adequate for the price. The restaurant serves very tasty food but is a self service style which leaves you not knowing what you have spent until you get to the till. You can sit at the lakeside whilst you eat which is very pretty.
My room overlooked the car park and then the motorway but the more expensive rooms have a beautiful view over the water to the rear of the hotel.
I'd come again if I needed budget and came with able bodied friends who didn't mind a bit of travel.

Stayed there for part of a contiki tour, it was very nice stay. Staff was great to deal with and the rooms were clean! Breakfast was amazing and I would go back again if I am in Amsterdam.

No frills, no effort hotel. Some staff were friendly and some weren't. Talking about us in Hollands but didn't know we understood every word. So rude! Restaurant is niche, good selection of meals, quick service. Pity the bar area is small and closes early. If you don't have transport it's a long walk to train station.

Great hotel. Nice and clean. Decent view of river. Everything you want from a hotel. Just too far away from Amsterdam Central. 35 minute uber/cab. Would have preferred somewhere closer so I can nip to freshen up but couldn't as just that bit too far away.

Eu gostei muito do hotel. Limpo, bom atendimento, excelente café da manhã, tem elevadores, quarto espaçoso e aconchegante. O grande problema é a localização. Para chegar ao centro de Amsterdã é necessário pegar um metrô, e para chegar nele leva uns 20 minutos de caminhada. Não parece muito, mas depois de passar o dia caminhando é bem desanimador. Ainda assim escolheria este hotel novamente.

Calm and nice place in 20 min by metro to center of Amsterdam. Tasty breakfast, gentle personal. Room is clean. Every day comes cleaner. Inside the room you can find all what you needed, including free tea and coffee

The hotel is pretty far out of Amsterdam. So far out, it is actually the last station on the metro. From the metro station, the hotel is yet another 20 minutes walk. The rooms are big and spacious but upkeep is not great. Bathrooms have fungus growing and a few spiderwebs.

The building is wheelchair accessible, there's an elevator to the floors. The carpets don't smell the best. There's no air circulation in the room - at least the one we stayed - maybe that's why it doesn't smell the best. The room is OK, the beds are confortable, looked clean. There's no hair dryer in the bathroom, you need to ask at the reception. There are no hangers for the towels in the bathroom, you sort of don't know where to place them after shower, which makes you want to change them before getting into the next shower. Restaurant is super good, food is tasty, fresh and the staffs upper friendly. Unfortunately it works only from 8h to 21h. If you wake up early or come back late, you should eat elsewhere or from the two vending machines available at the reception.
We were unlucky that we arrived in an unusual cold wave, during the coldest week of the winter. The distance from the train station wasn't the best. The bus between the hotel and the train station pass every 30min, if you want to go in between, you should walk 12min. Which is not that bad but you don't want to do it with -15 c in your face. Overall, I'd recommend to a friend traveling on the budget, otherwise I'd definitely recommend spending some extra and staying closer to the center.

It's located close to metro links that go into central Amsterdam. Nice, helpful and friendly members of staff. Clean rooms with comfy beds.

Great place to work and eat. It would have been nice though if they would have told me beforehand that parking is for free when you eat there.

The hotel is situated a little outside of the main town and A 10 minutes walk away from the metro. It's gorgeous surroundings will leave you stunned. A very nice and helpful staff. Great rooms and great service. We had booked 3 double rooms in the month of Jan 2018. The breakfast served is fresh and sumptuous. I enjoyed every bit of the spread.

Rooms were nice and big but a bit dated. The new restaurant in it was great. The food was very tasty. We were sad they were all sold out of pizza when we went down for dinner.

The Hotel is very nice and clean. Modern rooms and very quiet. We had a Nespresso machine with free coffee tabs in our room. The bathroom is big enough for 2 girls. :) Metro is about 10 mins to walk. Little bit outside of Amsterdam unfortunately.

I must say very well managed place. Not luxurious, but still nice. Metro at a 10 minutes walk will take u to the city conveniently. A not so expensive restaurant is also nice. But location is remote and not much to see around. You will need to travel a bit to see interesting places. There is always some trade off you see.

Based too far from civilisation, 12 minute walk to the nearest metro. Carpet in my room wasn't clean. Window sill was dirty, mattress was far too soft. Glass shower door, didn't meet the bath, so the floor was wet.
Hotel doesn't provide bottled water for free, the Wi-Fi was very sometime-ish.

I stayed at the Tulip Inn Amsterdam last year it has to be the nicest hotels Ive ever stayed in.
The staff were always nice to talk too & very helpful. The food there was amazing. On the next morning after I arrived I got a pleasant surprise when I walked out of the rear of the hotel to find what looked like a massive lake. The nearest Metro station is Gaasperplas station which is only a 10 minute walk away.

If I was to ever go back to the Netherlands I would love to go back to the Tulip Inn Riverside.

Oh! I left my heart here 😅One the most peaceful and serene place I have stayed during my visit to Amsterdam. Guess what, the Amstel river just flows behind this lovely place and they also have a seating arrangement over there... Peaceful ❤️

Decent room, but no hot water in the morning. Lots of hassle for friends checking in, dirty rooms and already occupied rooms.

6

The good part: Good rooms with good beds. OK breakfast. The bad part: 2 or of 5 people had to exchange rooms. One because the room was already occupied by another visitor, the other because the room had not been cleaned. The doors to the rooms slams with such a high noise that you have absolutely no chance of sleeping late, because you wake up every time someone leaves their room.

I would totally recommend this place for business trips since it is close to most business districts, but maybe not to tourists who may feel too far away from the city (though only 30' away from Centraal and 20' from De Pijp).

Excellent beds and services at a price that totally compensate the isolation from the city center.

This is for the Golden Tulip. The staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were quite soft. There was construction, but wasn't a problem as they usually stopped around 6 or so. Restaurant is nice. Breakfast a little much considering the price of everything else.

Great place to stay. Only negatives are the roadworks currently ongoing by the hotel. Super cosy rooms, staff super friendly.

Location was a bit out but only by about 20 minutes and gave you the experience to see more of amsterdam, staff were lovely and rooms were clean beds were super comfy will definitely return. For anyone wondering how far this hotel is from the metro line it took us no more than 8 minutes and the metro no more than 17, goes until 00:12 and there is a night bus for a few stops down, ideal for a short break.

The Tulip Inn riverside hotel is a lovely, modern 4 star hotel next to a large green park, yet also next to the Auto (motorway). The hotel offers Wi-Fi and also boasts a good restaurant. The rooms themselves are of high quality, with lots of space, air conditioning and a mini fridge available for guest use.

The hotel itself, however, is on the very outskirts of Amsterdam- this is NOT the city centre. A 5 minute walk away is the Gaasperplas Metro stop, which provides a direct link to central Amsterdam. The closest shops/bars to the hotel is across the Auto in a small town- about a 25 minute walk, or one stop on the Metro. There are cheap cabs available by the Kraaisennest Metro that will take you back to the Golden Tulip for just 5 euros, in the case you're out late and don't want to worry about waiting for the Metro.

Overall, the Golden Tulip Amsterdam Riverside hotel is of 5 star quality, but is simply in a very poor location. I would recommend checking other hotels in the Golden Tulip franchise closer to the city centre for similar comfort with greater access to local attractions; though the Golden Tulip Amsterdam Riverside hotel offers competitive rates for overnight stays, as well as offering meeting venues and other facilities.

As a side note, this is an absolute hot spot for Pokemon Go, with 5+ pokemon usually in the area!

Nice location, calm, neat and big rooms.
Would stay there again.
10 minutes by foot to the metro and then 20 minutes to the city centre.
Good choice for a weekend trip.

Its a bit out of the way you can take the M53 from central station in the heart of Amsterdam to the hotel in 30 minutes. You get to walk through a beautiful park to get to Gaaserpals station "end of the line" The rooms are simple with fridges. The pillows are a bit lumpy. But the riverside view is amazing! Definitely recommend the food truck in the park. You pass by it when going to the hotel the pricing is fantastic and you can get nearly anything there!

12-14 Minutes walking to the next train station. The Hotel is quiet fine, but the "riverside" mostly is a huge street in front of the building, and a small running water on the backside. Friendly staff.

7

Really good hotel, reasonably priced. 20 minute train ride and a 10 min walk to the city centre.. If you don't mind that, its a very good deal. I got to stay in a big room in a 4 star hotel for the price of basically a single bed in a cramped room in the city.

Everything is good for this staying in Tulip Inn except of metro is far from accommodation. Breakfast can be improved more better at hot meal and fresh salad. I will stay here again in next time.
