The oceanfront location is AMAZING! The room was spacious, clean & customer service by the front door clerk was great! Residents followed the COVID instructions as far as the pool & we had a great hotel experience.

The hotel is clean! It's a little dated but it's right on the water. Parking is free and the beds are soft.

Just checked in a couple hours ago and we're blown away! We're taking a "local vacation" and this hotel is a beautiful resort in the middle of busy Virginia Beach. We cannot even tell Atlantic Ave is nearby while at the gorgeous poolside. Definitely coming back!

The location is great for families. It's close to plenty of things to do with the kids without having to deal with the night life crowd. Also it is truly right on the beach and all of the rooms have a great view with balconies overlooking the beach. We had a hard time checking in cause we got there a little early so we were forced to occupy our toddler for 2 hours before we could check in along with several other guests who were waiting to check in. Our other issue was the pool area was tiny and oppressively hot and the pool was murky and looked gross. But besides those two issues it wasn't a bad stay.

Beach view! Free coffee all day! Staff was super nice and very accommodating. We arrived early and they gave us a key to get in and out of the main doors, the pool and the gym before our room was ready. I’m walking distance of everything near the beach/boardwalk.

Great place on the boardwalk. Close to shops too. The hotel was clean and breakfast was good. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel and the food was good. The pool was indoor but very small and disappointing. We did have a great view of the fireworks for the fourth of july from our hotel room. The had a place next door to rent bikes too.

We arrived during very rainy weather and I expect that a lot of people bailed out on their vacation plans because we got a lovely upgrade for our room. Everyone was very friendly from the front desk to the cleaning staff and so forth. The hotel was nice, quiet, and clean. I was very impressed with the place and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Awesome view, hotel room was small. I thought I was getting some sort of sitting area as pictures showed a couch & comfy chair. I called in the morning but was told I didn't get that type of room. There was 1 big problem tho. Every single night we had to go ask for towels & washcloths for the next am.

Lovely place, wish they had turkey bacon or sausage and potatoes. There were two days where I didn't eat the breakfast because other than waffles I wasn't able to have anything. The fruit is mixed together and I have bad allergies. The staff was great and the place was well maintained though.

Stayed here for Sertoma Fest since its really close to the venue. The hotel staff was very friendly. Our room was on the top floor and we had two balconies. All of the rooms have an ocean front view based on the how the hotel is designed. The furniture was a bit out dated, but we really weren't in the room much so it was no big deal. It is an older hotel with some renovations, so the sink area is in the room. The bathrooms haven't been updated but it isn't anything that was too bad. The food area was typical. The bar in the lobby was probably the best part of the hotel.

My wife and I have stayed here a couple of times. All rooms face the ocean and have terrific views. There is a restaurant on site and plenty more within walking distance. The rooms are roomy, tidy, and well equipped. I'll be back!

The rooms where very well arranged and kept clean. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was better than most hotels. And the refrigerator was very big compared to other hotels. While I did not go in the pool, they seemed very clean and had adequate space. To top it all off, you get a great view of the beach and ocean. Would recommend.

This is for the South one. Loved the breakfast (yummy bagel thing with cheese and bacon - and waffle bar with whipped cream). Bed is ok. Workers are friendly. If it had a better bed I would give it five stars.

Absolutely wonderful staff- especially the catering team! We stayed there for 3 days with a group of 160 High School students, and they bent over backwards to help us with anything we needed. They even saw us off the morning we departed with a stash of granola bars and fruit for the trip home!

Not that best Hampton Inn stay that I've had. Beds weren't as comfortable as at other Hampton Inn's. The oceanfront view of the room was the best part of the room. Room felt dirty and it was very tight. Didn't like where the mirror/closet was positioned which was on the side of the bed...very hard to get to- to see your outfit. The hospitality was great! Front desk staff and breakfast attendants were amazing. Breakfast was good. Overall, I had a good stay.

Love this place. The only hotel l stay at in VB when l go. Everyone is so polite and friendly and the rooms are always clean. Breakfast is always good and coffee is available 24 hours a day.

Right on the beach with beautiful ocean views from the room's balcony. Room was large with king size bed as well as a couch and sitting area. Parking is easy with an attached garage, though the driving area is tight and can be difficult to navigate if you have a large vehicle with a wise turning radius.

very clean rooms, I've seen better, but not bad. there is a fridge and a microwave which is a plus. My room is on the 10th floor and we have a really nice balcony overlooking the beach and the parade of lights. The restaurant downstairs has pretty good food. Queen bed is questionably Queen sized but for one night it's fine. wall with balcony is all windows and it looks really neat. very pleased

Awesome hotel! Everything from beginning to end was great. The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and helpful, it was our sons 4th birthday and the ladies gave him cookies which made him very happy of course! The room was PERFECT in every way, the view, very clean, super comfy beds. The complimentary breakfast the next morning was great as well, so many options, the most I've seen in a hotel! We will most definitely be returning and staying at the Hampton Inn!

My fiance and I stayed here previously in May and loved it. When we booked our most recent vacation in October I mentioned that we were celebrating our engagement. The staff surprised us on our last night with pieces of cake and the sweetest card! The staff has consistently been super sweet and helpful with every question we've had. We will definitely be staying here for all our future vacations!

This was our 2nd time staying at this hotel and both times were awesome. They have an extremely friendly staff who go out of their way to help you. The rooms are always clean and spotless. The breakfast is free and includes scrambled eggs sausage french toast sticks waffle maker juice and milk machines. My fiancee in booking the room put in the notes that we were celebrating our engagement, and one night when we got back from dinner their was a congrats card from the staff and 2 things of ice cream waiting for us. We thought that was really sweet

Stayed here over the past weekend and was overall pleased with my stay. Mohamed at the front desk is extremely friendly and informative, telling me the hotel and providing me with a room with an excellent view of the beach on top of information regarding the hotel's amenities.

Additionally, Saida at the front desk was helpful as well and I was pleased at how her and her associate were handling a disgruntled customer who was being unruly. Great rooms, great stay, and great location.

I will be staying here again in the near future.

My wife and 2 kids stayed here and everyone from front desk staff to the cleaning crew to the kitchen staff were amazing. Very polite we had one small issue with a drunk guest knocking on our door at 1030 but the staff made that right. Views were great breakfast was delicious. The one and only criticism i can think of is the small tv and not being able to watch it comfortably from the bed due to the size of it.

It is great due to all rooms being ocean-front with balconies. I work for Hilton so I of course always recommend Hilton properties. This is a good location due to proximity to the pier and good food spots. The tap house bar and grill is located in this hotel and it is a really good place for food and beers.

The views from our room were amazing. The room was a good size but and a big but this room was not child friendly. The sliding doors to the balcony do not lock. They don't even have a lock on them. The balcony had a table and chairs I had to bring inside. My children are climbers and climb right on top and could easily get over the rail with enough time. There was no safe in the room. The breakfast was pretty good. It had a large selection. Fresh fruit, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, waffles, bagles, coffee, juice, ect.

The hotel employees are very kind and professional. We spent a few days and a tropical system was in Atlantic. Boardwalk was not crowded. We experienced watching surfers and dolphins playing

Rooms are fine with great beach views. Staff are friendly. The hotel doesn't have much of a front. Parking deck leads to a corridor with reception. Offer warm breakfast but the scrambled eggs were rubbery. Won't stay again.

We had a wonderful room with a kitchen area and two terraces overlooking the ocean. I Ioved the large glass windows which gave a full view of the ocean from any place in the room (including while lying in bed). The downside was no nice lobby to sit in and on the top floor the hallways were hot and smelled musty. We will be coming back and asking for the same room....

I usually really love Hampton Inn but this one is way over-priced, and maintenance is atrocious. We notified them about 9pm that our toilet was not flushing correctly and we were told someone would be up in a few minutes. well we got tired of waiting and went out and by the time we got back around 1am, it was still not fixed. I am really disappointed in this Hampton Inn. The only good points is that they have breath-taking views (but you can get that at any of the other oceanfront hotels.) & they are in a convenient location. I would stay here for one night but wouldn't stay for a longer term vacation.

Everything was clean quiet and updated! Loved our stay. Just took a star off because our bathroom fan didn't work :(

Hampton Inn Virginia Beach-Oceanfront has great staff and amazing breakfast, the view from the balconies are just amazing. The beds at this hotel are very soft and clean. The layout of the hotel is very nice and welcoming. Each room can fit up to 6 people.

Great views of the ocean. Pool was not great. Breakfast was pretty good, not enough drink options. Free coffee always brewed in the lobby. Clean and great location. Parking is free and very convenient and safe

Great view in all the rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, free breakfast, indoor pool, good wifi, great room. The only thing is the blanket on the bed was a bit thick, our first night was a bit too warm, but when we have the AC a bit lower we felt better. Would love to come back.

I had an amazing time here. The location of the hotel was great with restaurants and stores within walking distance of the hotel. Additionally, the staff was very helpful and kind. I would definitely recommend hotel to my friends and family

Good location right next to the beach. All rooms have an ocean view since they face in that direction. The rooms are nice and the free breakfast is delicious. One downside is that the walls are very thin. We had very disruptive/ noisy neighbors (loud children amd adults who spoke/ fought in very raised voices) and I could hear them clearly. Made it hard to fall asleep at night and try to sleep in extra in the morning. Our room was also at the end of the hall across from the parking garage door so we could also hear those people coming in and out. Even though we don't need it, we were given a handicapped accessible room so the bathroom/ shower is perfect for any guests who are in a wheelchair. The pool is very small, but that's common with many other hotels as well. The staff here are very nice.

The Hampton Inn is absolutely the BEST! They absolutely go out of there way to make you feel at home. They are there to help you , no matter what the problem is. I kept having problems with my phone, getting on the internet and they didn't quit until they fixed it for me. They have been so kind to us, all of them. From the front desk, Shana and the other ladies who have been helpful and kind, to the helpful fix it guys, like Jerry and Clint. Then, there's also Rita in the kitchen and all the other ladies who fixed breakfast. I didn't know everyones name, but they were all fantastic. We will keep coming back every time we come down. Thank you, Mel and Lee Martinson and Barbara.

Very friendly service! All rooms have a nice view of the ocean. Rooms are comfortable and come with a nice balcony. Breakfast was wonderful as well. Highly recommended staying here!

Great ocean view off season rates are better than summer rates. Fishing from beach is a bonus this time of year (late fall). Convenient for travel into the city for business.

Nice facility. Staff at front desk did a good job. Room was clean and quiet. Wish they would follow their policy on not washing towels if they were hung on the racks.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great! The one complaint we had was that our friend booked their rooms at the same time as us, and even though we paid the same price, their room was bigger and had additional chairs and an ottoman in it. When we mentioned this to the front desk, they just said that's how it is and suggested that we book our rooms before our friend next time. Did not seem fair but was not a big deal.

I'm half n half on this hotel. Maybe I came on a bad week.

The staff is great. Rosa Lee, Christine and another lady at the front desk were great and saved me from giving this hotel a lower rating.

What gets this hotel a low review is the sand in my sheets - and no one in my room went to the beach yet. That says a lot to me and I'm not going to downplay the whole hotel for one slackers mistake.

Got a good rate with my AAA membership. Right on the beach! Clean, well stocked room! Restaurant had very good food. The free breakfast was full of hot and cold choices. Loved my stay.

Hotel was completely booked when I visited but they still had great and fast service. Clean rooms, comfy beds, close to a lot of shops. Good overall experience.

Had a wonderful stay at Hampton Inn South in Virginia Beach. Convenient location, good parking, easy in and out, ocean view all added to our stay there. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was standard Hampton Inn offering but the staff kept a busy dining area well stocked, clean and fresh looking.

I would stay at this hotel anytime I am in the area. I would recommend it without reservation.
