Stayed at the hotel for a two night break with family. The setting was gorgeous for a lovely break. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were delicious with very friendly and at the same time professional service from the staff. Bedroom was beautiful, spacious and well equipped with everything you need. Leisure facilities were great and a plus to the hotel. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you Haughton Hall for the lovely time.

Excellent staff, very welcoming. Had a lovely spa day, fabulous massage, followed by sumptuous afternoon tea, reception staff, in spa and hotel, therapist and waiting staff were exemplary. Well done! In the words of Arnie " I'll be back!"

Nice facilities when I attended a murder mystery night. However, I was ill for a week after attending. It's a little difficult to find if you've never been. I personally most likely won't go back. Lovely building both externally and internally. Staff were helpful through the evening. Parking was an issue as the car park wasn't very big.

I don't normally complain but the "Chef" needs to be replaced. Food was bland, the breakfast spread was boring. The cooked breakfast had no soul. The rooms were outdated and when I checked out they tried to charge me for the room again. My colleague had the same problem with his meal he already paid for. Could be nice but needs new management.

We stayed in the bigger Telford Suite which was larger than the average room. While quite nice, the whole hotel was a mixture of old style period features which was nice, bits that needed modernising, and newer fixtures that clashed a bit with the period features. The staff were all very nice. The food was also very good, which pleasantly surprised us. The gym and fitness suite was functional if also a bit dated. Overall, a decent stay, but could have been improved.

17th century building with an additional part built probably in 1970's. Separate leisure centre building with 15m pool, jacuzzi steam room and sauna and a beauty room.
Bar area is nice with lounge area containing leather sofas and chairs.
Dining room was ok a little dark i thought maybe that's just the decor. Food was very nice both dinner and breakfast ,which offers full English cereal and toast.
Room was adequate and clean if a little dated in appearance but bed was very comfy. Halls were dark as well but again the decor didn't help. Even the reception area was small and dark reminded me of an old school room. Having said this it didn't upset our stay and we enjoyed ourselves. We were only there for a night for my partners birthday we used the pool and sauna and ate in the restaurant.
So for a little mini break it was fine but wouldn't want to stay for any longer than 2 days.

The hotel was a lovely old property in very scenic grounds. The rooms are huge! But unfortunately very under powered shower and taps. The resturaunt serves amazing food.

Nice venue spoiled by lack of maintenance. We stayed at this hotel as a pick from a red letter day gift. The rooms were clean although the fan in the room did fail on the second day and the curtain did fall off on one side.

The food in a the restaurant was very nice and the bar area was well presented.

Not a bad stay but I am not sure I could recommend it is you are spending a lot to stay here.

A small group of us attended for afternoon tea, it was fresh and delicious. Staff were very friendly and left us chatting for a couple of hours until they needed to change over for evening service. Will definitely return.

Booked a spa day as a birthday treat for myself and my daughter. The massage was amazing. There is no relaxing room to sit before your treatment so you sit round the pool which was noisy with children having swimming lessons. Could do with some money being spent on decor especially the changing room which is very cold and dreary.

Went for a spa day and afternoon tea. The spa is very run down could do with some TLC. The lady doing the treatments was fantastic. Afternoon was amazing and the staff in the actual hall were lovely.

The Mrs and i came here for a spa day.. Staff were abit rude and very awkward, spent most of his time on a dating site which you can see clearly from the pool... The pool or cuzzi wasnt all that clean and the change rooms are awful!! open the door and all can see through.lol this place would get the 3 stars if it wasnt for the massage.. The massage was amazing.. Very calming and got all the right areas. I would recommend goin else where and bare in mind im only talking of our experience of the spa section and not the actual hotel.

Had a work Christmas do here. The main hotel building is beautiful. Our meal was in a large room which was very chilly and the toilets were clean but extremely dated. Not a large choice of drinks at the bar. Food was ok and we had no complaints about the service.

Cold room with broken storage heater, old and tired although the shower was good! Why do hotels still not use mixer taps?! Breakfast was very good

Fantastic hotel set in stunning gardens. Our suite was enormous with two huge rooms and a fantastic huge double bath. There was a huge four poster bed in the bedroom which was massive. In the lounge with two settees and a chesterfield chair. There was a tea/coffee area. A nice touch was homemade shortbread and chocolate biscuits. There are fluffy dressing gowns and slippers. The food in the restaurant is extremely good value and beautifully presented and very tasty. The breakfast had everything you would want. The staff are fantastic and couldn't do enough for you and work very hard. Well worth a visit

Had a neck, back and shoulder massage recently with Nikki, I mentioned how sore my shoulders were so she concentrated on that area. I was delighted with the results, a very relaxing experience and very professional. Thank you

In arrival the young gentleman was great!
That's the only good thing I have to say for £82 spend the same or if not cheaper for premier inn or something similar! The room was dated felt like I was in a bedsit.. with clean sheets and a bathroom.

If this hotel revamped and refurbed the place it would be easy 4* just needs some TLC !!

Absolutely loved it. We went there for a Murder Mystery Dinner. Stayed in a really nice room with a four-poster bed. The room was more spacious that our entire downstairs. Murder Mystery was good fun and the meal was excellent.

Standard rooms are awefull. Stuck in the 80's. Cold. Awefull carpets wallpaper and furniture. Bathroom had mould on the ceiling and the shower grout was dirty. The bar area was nice as was the food. But I will not be going back here nor would I recommend this hotel. It's in desperate need of upgrading. Very disappointed!!!!

Walked through the front door and it smelled.I'd like to say it may have been damp as it is an old building but it wasnt it was more like a scruffy house smell.food wasnt bad but could have been better for the price.room was ok and bathroom was fine also.my problem was with the staff, had to wait 15 minutes for someone to attend the bar to ask for a coffee so we complained and got a half hearted sorry.when i tried to order drinks at the other bar later that night i waited over 20 minutes to then be told there was no card payments at that bar and to go to the other one,a simple sign to let the customer know wouldnt go a miss which i pointed out to the young gentlemen on the bar.then while waiting for my drink at the second bar the gentleman came from the first bar sticking 2 fingers up at me when he thought i wasn't looking.maybe hiring a few more mature members of staff would be better than immature ones.overall i would not go back.

Stayed here for one night in January 2014.
The hotel has a mostly old world feel, it's in need of a little attention but nothing more than you would expect in a country home.
The staff were very pleasant.
We had breakfast which was fine.
I didn't get chance to use the gym and fitness suite, bit they looked in very good condition.
