Great little hotel. Rooms were nice and spacious, beds were comfortable. Food and entertainment is also nearby.

Just stayed in one of the King suites for the night. Nothing short of impressive. Very clean rooms, very comfy beds, the bathroom and shower was amazing, and the amenities blew me away as well. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. My son absolutely loved the pool. Can't wait for the bumper cars and bowling alley next time!

Well done guys, highly recommended!

Stayed here overnight. Location is good for finding other amenities close by. But this is just an average place to stay, don't expect anything more.

A good enough hotel in Orillia. Had a stop over on my way from Wasaga to Ottawa. The hotel was undergoing major renovations and most sections were wet and cold. The rooms are basic and hallways are as clean as it can get for an average hotel. Overall economical option for staying a night or two if you happen to visit Orillia.

Room could have been cleaner, there was a beer cap on the floor when we arrived at the room and random little pieces of hair in the bathroom. The A/C got really loud everytime the compressor kicked in so it wasn't feasible to leave on all night. There was only one towel in the bathroom for the two of us and took 30 minutes to get a second one.

Staff are nice though, and there are four walls with a bed which is the real reason we stayed here. Room is very modern looking though, and the king bed was comfortable.

Location: Awesome! So close by to all places, Zehrs, Shoppers, Tim's, Walmart, grocery stores, downtown. Rooms: Awesome! Everything was clean and the AC was already set up (especially with +35 degree weather and high humidity, it felt heavenly). Beds were comfy and there was Netflix. Wifi was not the best, but functional during non busy hours. Service: Good. We came in a bit earlier than check-in and our room wasn't ready which was expected and the receptionist was kind enough to call them again about the status. Came back to a new receptionist and my partner was not told there would be a security deposit so saw a transaction for $200 pending. It wasn't an issue to me as I explained it to him, but for someone such as my partner who doesn't travel often, he was a bit irritated on how she didn't explain the breakdown of why she's taking his credit card when the room was paid for.

Definitely not worth the money... Room was apparently newly renovated but the workmanship was shotty and incomplete. Bad water pressure in the shower... Hot Tub not working and air conditioning units in the suite were noisy. The booking price was lowered by 60 bucks compared to regular price and still at 134.99 not worth it. Woken up at 7am by workers outside doing renovations not my idea of holiday wake up time. Definitely will not be back... Previously stayed at the Econo Lodge and it was alot better experience

Room was renovated but the balcony door could barely be opened as it was still old and off the tracks. Also, there was nothing to latch to door onto which meant it was permanently unlocked. They were still renovating the rooms directly below is so the noise was a bit annoying first thing in the morning. Place is nice otherwise...Im sure it will be fine once renos are done. I would definitely stay there again.

Spent a night there with the kids. The room was clean & tidy. And had fun in the pool.
Can't wait to see the end result of their renovations.

This place needs a wrecking ball. Not lipstick. Pool renovations are pretty rough and pool area is often dirty/ lots of different bugs on the floors. The pool deck has lots of low puddle spots leaving many areas slippery and unable to drain. The pool has had some issues with being clean on a few occasions, but staff has rectified the issue and seems to be keeping a better eye on the pool itself. Hopefully the rest of the renovation improves the overall condition as a whole.

Hotel main front desk area is clean, same with the rooms. One good thing about this hotel is that it's close-by the highway. There is plenty of parking and there's a indoor swimming pool. Only thing is that during my stay on 2018-May-26 stay, the restaurant appears to be under construction. Hopefully it'll open soon. I recommend this hotel as a good rest stop.

Good and bad here. They're still doing renovation so I think they will end up with a great looking place. Interior hallway, and bathroom are fixed up modernly. Room was dusty in some areas, I'm guessing from renovation going on. Staff all seemed really friendly. Easy location off highway and shops all around this area.

We take the family to use the pool and hot tub. Recently renovated and really nice. Pool could be a little warmer.

Overall unimpressed with the hotel. The room was an ice box when we walked in as the heat was off. In - 30 degree weather you would think the heat would be on. Took hours for it to warm up. Seemed dated... I see they are doing renovations in parts of the hotel so may be different after...its in behind a Tim Horton's and is not cleanly marked so is difficult to know where to go to get to thr hotel. Most likely would not stay again... for the price expected more

Great room size but not all would be satisfied with the beds and pillows. The pool was not warm enough for me and my daughter to enjoy, we stayed in less than 5 mins before I decided we would have to go back to the room. The bath needed more cleaning, also the coffee maker. I would recommend this place to people that just need a night to sleep and go.

We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms. They were well furnished, clean and tidy. A larger fridge would be nice. I enjoyed the pool, but wish it was accessible later than 10pm.

this is a no frills motel. If you are disabled then this is not the place to go. Nice staff and a nice pool but I'm passing on trying the hot tub. Looks like it's needed a treatment since we got here 3 days ago. Great location for amenities.

Fairly cheap, rooms are dated but are fine. No real issues, certainly not a luxury hotel but does the job of giving you a bed to sleep in for a fair price.

Hotel was clean but a little dated, and could have used some maintenance, in all fairness they were doing Reno's to rooms when we were there. That being said the pool was more than adequate with a hot tub off to the side and the rooms were comfortable. We had the breakfast buffet in the attached restaurant, waitress was friendly and the food was decent. Will likely stay again next time we are in town.

The Highwayman is getting a facelift! We stayed on the almost-finished 3rd floor, with all new furnishings, beds and decor, and who doesn't like " all new!"? It's going to be quite nice, but it will not be The Highwayman! It will soon join the Choice chain as a Quality Inn.
It still has a huge pool and a great location in Orillia, ON.

Our room was comfortable with a large balcony. The attached restaurant had delicious food. Service was great in both the restaurant and the registration desk. They seem to be doing some renovations, which are much needed. Our room smelled fairly strongly of deodorizer and cigarette smoke, mainly due to the ancient carpets. A few minutes with the sliding balcony door open freshened it up a bit. Overall, it was a good stay.

My boyfriend and I were visting Orillia and last miute we decided to get a hotel because I was feeling extremely ill (we are from Toronto). I choose this hotel because the rate was cheap $100 for the night and because the rooms looked beautiful in the photo's so i took a risk and choose this "no name" hotel over all the bigger/more expensive chains.

When I walked into the main lobby of this hotel it was around 1:30am. I was feeling cold and sick and anxious to get into my warm room and sleep. When I saw the main lobby I was immediately turned off. It was not appealing. Very old and outdated and not welcoming like in the photos online. I was worried and regretted my decision to book at this hotel but at this point I just wanted to be warm and in shelter. When we were given the key to our room and were told we had to go back outside into the -11 cold weather and walk to our room (it is seperate from the lobby) I felt even more convinced we made a terrible mistake.

When I opened the door to my room I was pleasantly surprised! Rooms are very modern, big, and clean! They look like the pictures or even better! Mattresses are firm. The hotel provided pillows that were both big and fluffy and thinner and not as fluffy (usually hotels provide one or the other ) i love love having the option. Needless to say, We slept very comfortably. Washroom was modern and upgraded as well. Overall, my boyfriend and I were pleasantly surprised and relieved. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely rebook and come back! Staff was friendly enough. We did not get to use any facilities so I cannot comment on them. Next time I stay I intend to try them! Tim Hortons is across the street...that is also a plus! I was told they have a connecting little restaurant but I did not try that either. Will defintely come back soon! Excellent quality for the money. The hotel was under renovations when I got there so I'm hoping the lobby gets a major makeover - it needs it! But the rooms are perfect and dont need any reno's and the rooms are the most important part of your stay! The other thing to consider is that the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Nothing special close by besides a few restuarants. We almost drove past it because its almost hidden. But definitely a hidden gem!

We were attending a conference, did not stay overnight. The staff was attentive, everything we needed was available. My only complaint is that it was very cold! We have attended other events there in the winter, & it's always cold on the conference rooms level, especially the washroom!!

Great conference space some what oddly shaped and on the smaller side but a great venue nonetheless. They are doing full renovations so this may change.

Nice salt water pool. That being said, not a great night. The walls are paper thin. The older couple getting in late next door sounded like a frat party. The skidoos roaring outside at 1 am were a super treat.

I have stayed at the inn on several occasions over the last 20 years. The service has been consistently excellent and the staff are attentive and friendly. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the conference facilities are well suited to most any business or administrative function. The restaurant offers great food for a reasonable price and the brunch and holiday buffets are not to be missed. I recommend the Inn to anyone looking for comfort and tranquility at a reasonable price without sacrificing the extra ammenities needed to ensure a memorable stay, likely to be repeated.
