I enjoyed staying Oceanfront, great balcony including patio table with chairs.
I wish the Customer Service was better including the website offering amenities that were not available during my stay, that I thought I was paying for. There was no remote control for TV in my room? Don’t believe I’ll stay again.

The Hilton Garden (and I believe other Hilton properties) allowed me and my wife to stay at this hotel free of charge for working in hospital care.. HUGE humanitarian offer during this time of pandemic and greatly appreciated! The lobby, hallways, and rooms were incredibly clean without smelling like chemicals. Parking was conveniently located across the street in a garage (normal parking anywhere at the oceanfront during tourist season is $10/day). The room was spacious and offered a great view, but the TV interface felt dated and limited (I recommend considering a more intuitive and responsive program guide service). Understandably, food services were not provided at the hotel but we wish we would've been informed at check-in which would help us plan ahead.. however they did provide menus of local restaurants that were still operating for take-out. Overall a fantastic stay and would recommend to anyone visiting the oceanfront!

Located on the beach and within walking distance of everything. This hotel is super clean and super cozy. The staff is friendly and treat you like one of the family.

The beds and pillows were comfortable. The room was very clean. The bathroom was well stocked with bath accessories and towels.

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn for three nights while in Virginia Beach. We got a nice large room with a separate living room area with a pull out bed. The room overlooks the ocean and there is a lot with two chairs and a table for enjoying the ocean view and sounds. The bathroom is huge though we only had a shower and no bathtub. There was a medium sized fridge as well as a microwave and Keurig. There were K cups as well as sugar, Splenda and creamer in each room. In the hotel lobby they also had complimentary Starbucks coffee each morning. Throughout the day they had water in the lobby. The pool is half indoors and half outside and was open until 10PM. One day it rained so the pool was closed for a few hours so they stayed open until 11 PM to give extra time for swimming. The first 75 guests all get two chairs for at the beach. There are towels by the pool that can be brought to the beach. There is also a sundeck on the 3rd floor. The staff were all super friendly and accommodating. I would love to come back and stay in the same hotel next time we come back for vacation.

*Rating based on Va Beach, not all hotels as very expensive for what you could get elsewhere but in line with Va Beach pricing which is all over priced.

Very nice hotel with clean rooms, solid breakfast (for Gold and Diamond members), free beach chairs, a fun pool, and one of the better ocean front restaurants in that area. The hotel is relatively new (5 or so years old) so will be curious how it holds up, but a great experience relative to other Va Beach hotels. Staff has universally been great on 3 visits

Great view from our room, and friendly service! The beach is a bit busy, but that's only because it's such a fun beach to play on! It's a great place to bring the family for vacation!

Our stay was okay. The room was outdated and had an old smell to it. The refrigerator didn't work good at all. We had to keep a cooler in our room filled with ice at all times to keep our drinks cold. The water pressure was terrible and the water didn't drain good at all. We had a do not disturb sign on our door and housekeeping still came in to clean our room. The view was nice, but I wish we had a better room. The price per night was over $300.00, but we definitely didn't get what we paid for.

The only bad thing was the ac blows hot air onto our deck like a blast furnace which makes is a terrible place to relax. The staff was all great. The rooms are so, so. I know its a beach front property, but i expect more from a hilton. Just not a top-end hotel. Not sure if we will be back here next year.

Best hotel stay in VA Beach. Friendly staff, clean rooms. The restaurant and bar is located towards the rear of the hotel and man is it good. Overall an awesome stay and experience. Will definitely stay here again. Though there is a timeshare company across the street and they try to lure you in for a meeting with a prize for attending....

Very clean and nice facility. I love the breakfast they have there and the Lager Heads restaurant attached. The pool is very nice and the sub deck is a nice feature. The location is very convenient to food, live music stage and the water. The concierge is very nice and will offer a timeshare presentation that comes along with a monetary gift if you’re interested in that.

They were ok. Have stayed there twice for a convention. Breakfast is a little pricey considering I have stayed at other hotels and that same breakfast was complimentary. And watch your Bank account when they "hold" for incidentals. They will hold your account for twice the amount they claim and then say they can't do anything about it. Usually we stick to Holiday Inns, just as nice without all the money hassles, but had no choice since this was for a convention.

Loved loved loved it here. The Christmas trees that they had up were absolutely beautiful. We stayed on the club level so the view from the balcony was really nice. The room itself is a little small but it was clean and comfortable. Loved the t.v. in the bathroom mirror. We took full advantage of all of the amenities available to us. Room service was great. We dined at Catch21.... It was okay. We really loved staying. We originally booked the room for 2 days but ended up staying 5 days. I hated leaving

The hotel is generally in good condition and the staff are friendly. The hot breakfast was good with gluten free and dairy free options.

The housekeeping was disappointing, though. When I left my room for the day and returned, the covers had been straightened a little (but the bed hadn't actually been made - it was just a little less messy than I had left it) and my towels had been replaced but the coffee bar hadn't been restocked and the bathroom had not been cleaned other than having picked up the used towels. When the housekeeping that I can observe is only half-done, it does not instill confidence that the housekeeping between guests has been properly taken care of.

I'm sad to say this was the most disappointing experience I have ever had at a Hilton.

We were a last minute check in and the front desk was very accommodating and very nice. All the staff that we met and passed by in the Halls were very kind and everybody said hello. This is a typical inn, the room was clean and there was a beautiful view from the balcony. It has a step up from the usual free breakfasts with different hot items every day.
Everyone was very polite, friendly and helpful. This place is at the North end of Virginia Beach and has an upscale feel away from the seedy looking area on the south end. It is close to the Neptune statue and free entertainment area, but far enough away that the partying is not an issue.

Had dinner at Lagerheads. We really enjoyed it. The weather was rainy so we ate inside but still could watch the ocean. The kids were happy with the kids' menu selections. Their Texas Brisket Burger was amazing!! That burger is definitely on the to do list for the next trip to VA Beach!

I attended thos hotel for a wedding this summer. The dining room was spacious, although dimly lit. The reception area was very nice and large enough for the crowd that fit in the dining room. There was a beautiful and large terrace that overlooked the beach that was perfect for grabbing some fresh air. The bathrooms were large enough for the group and very clean. After the event, we visited the hotel bar which served reasonably priced drinks and good food. I would highly recommend this hotel for an event or casual drinking on the oceanfront.

This was our second stay here and overall, it's a pretty great hotel. Awesome staff with great service. Free self parking in a big garage right across the street. My biggest complaints he are that the 2 elevators that serve the entire hotel are terribly slow. Like you could be waiting several minutes for one and will likely have to stop on every floor. They really should have had 4 for a building of this size. The other would be the pool. While it is better than some in the area, it's somewhat small and the water was pretty murky when we were there.

It's a newer goal, so it's fairly nice. The staff can be mixed in terms of friendliness and such, but in general pretty good. Second tube staying in this hotel and this time at least didn't have an issue with the ac. Last time is wasn't working properly.

Decent room. Very narrow shower and your towels are sure to get soaked. They are racked from about 5ft down to the floor inside the shower. We booked a suite and the two room layout is very nice for extended stays. Fridge is small and no efficiency options for longer stays so be prepared to eat out or grocery shop daily.
As opposed to the regular Hilton down the street, the Bell men here are kids and just get in the way. There are about 15 of them and they stand there and watch things happen then park the next car 6 inches from your bumper so you have to pull your remaining luggage onto the hood of it.
Location is nice. Self parking is free and right around the corner.

Everything about this property and my stay there was wonderful. The view alone is worth every penny and then some. The staff was equally fantastic. From the catering manager, to the A/V staff that assisted with our meetings, to the waitstaff in the restaurant and the front desk staff. Amazing all around. Kind of a mixed bag with this hotel. Cleanliness and Service were all top notch (this is an almost new hotel-built in 2014). Pool (which is indoor and outdoor was nice-though kind of small. And why on earth they have the pool jutting out to the street side instead of the ocean, is downright moronic design. Location, toward the north end of the Boardwalk, is perfect-close enough to the action but away from the drunk kids. Value is the issue here. Yes, we had an oceanfront room booked peak season, so I wasn't expecting a bargain. But at $350 per night, I was disappointed at the cramped rooms--and especially the tiny (and I mean TINY) balcony that could only really fit one adult and maybe two kids. In other words, one of the major selling features for this hotel looking out over the ocean was lost as there wasn't enough room to actually enjoy the view from the balcony. As a result, one of the prime selling features when we booked the room (i.e. Ocean View) was lost. I was looking forward to sitting out with my wife and a drink and watch the ocean. No such luck. If I go back to V. Beach, I'll look for a hotel in the same general area with bigger balconies.

Great stay. Came here for our anniversary. Love the ocean view. Everyone was kind and the restaurant lagerhead has amazing food. Only downfall was being pressured to go to a timeshare seminar at the beginning of our stay. The concierge spent 15 mins as soon as we got there talking about why we should visit this timeshare meeting to get a free gift card. Other than that we had a wonderful stay and very quiet stay during college beach weekend.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. When you go for breakfast you are greeted by a wonderful "good morning " (I am a very up personality person) and this is so energizing.
Hey if you go say good morning to Alex and his staff for me. The Hilton has a very comfortable heated indoor/ outdoor pool so relaxing. Enjoy a variety of burgers, appetizers, and beverages at the Lager Heads restaurant right in the Inn.
The Boardwalk is so well lit you see people, singles, couples, and families walking at night,
The beach is so well kept by The Parks and Recreation Dept of Va. Beach just another plus to our vacation.
I give it 5 stars and differently hope to return someday.

Tehhe game's on as I'm writing this so I'll keep this simple. All out of 10 Room cleanliness: 10 Hotel Services: 8 (I had no need to contact the desk for anything and the room was kept clean while I was enjoying the beach) Room comfort: 8 (throw pillows on the couch would've been nice considering the high armrests, but still comfortable) Facities: 9 (restrooms in the lobby were clean and functional, the indoor/outdoor pool was clean and heated to a comfortable temperature cafe for breakfast was very clean and the staff working it were very friendly and kind) Overall 9 (this is easily one of the best Hilton hotels I've stayed at, and I've been to more than my fair share, and being right on the beach is one heck of a bonus)

Hilton garden inn is a very nice hotel to stay in when your in virginia beach. Stayed there last january 2016. If your in town and stay there you must try the hamburgers down in the restaurant. The best i have ever had. The service was good but it was off season. I read some bad comments about staying there over the summer. You just have to remember that if you stay during the summer when they are at thier busiest that it will be harder to keep everyone happy. Try going off season and enjoy your stay...

Every employee encountered super friendly. The hotel has great location. Oceanfront hotels get beat up by the leisure summer crowd so the rooms get nicked up and ruff around the edges. Only came here for a job fair. No signage in the lobby for the job fair location. Had to ask 3 people before I could find it. It was raining and while watching a presentation the ceiling leaked on my paperwork. I mentioned it to some of the hotel staff that came in after the presentation. It looked like they were managers and were discussing, I think, turning over the room. They said it was the AC condensation coming through the ceiling, but never apologized. Water was straight tap water and all the ice had melted before the presentation started. Still wasn't freshened up after almost 4 hours. Yay warm city tap water. Ceiling in the hallway leaked too. Trash on the floor in the hallway that one of the attendants kept walking past. Dirty towel out on one of the chairs on the balcony that looked like it was there for weeks. Dusty artwork, window sills and carpets close to the walls. Bathroom was clean. Hilton used to care more. Management needs to step up their game.

Every person I have dealt with here has been extremely nice to the point of going out of there way to make our stay even better.
The front desk went so far as to make a birthday card with a lil bag of candy for the lil birthday girl.
I have stayed at Hilton a lot before but you guys are in a whole new league!
Thank you for a great stay from me and my family!

I thought my trip was destined to be horrible after the awful experiences I had in the airport on my way to Virginia Beach. This thought disappeared however upon checking in to the Hilton. The views are amazing and the staff makes you feel right at home. Two staff members in particular, Mike and Mason, were especially amazing. I could tell from our first interaction that they took extreme pride in their professions and wanted my stay to be as perfect as possible. As a result of its fantastic staff, amazing views, and exceptional rooms I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I can not wait until my next stay here and hope anyone who reads this review considers staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Virginia Beach Oceanfront.

Good hotel, very clean, only one bad day of housekeeping. Spoke to desk and they sent someone up right away.
Great location, pool, and friendly staff.

Kind of a mixed bag with this hotel. Cleanliness and Service were all top notch (this is an almost new hotel-built in 2014). Pool (which is indoor and outdoor was nice-though kind of small. And whyt on earth they have the pool jutting out to the street side instead of the ocean, I'll never figure out. As a result, one of the prime selling features when we booked the room (i.e. Ocean View) was lost. I was looking forward to sitting out with my wife and a drink and watch the ocean. No such luck. If I go back to V. Beach, I'll look for a hotel in the same general area with bigger balconies.

Very clean and nice hotel. You can tell its new. Love the location and the closeness to the beach. The rocking chairs on the backside of the building are a nice touch. Few disadvantages: the pool was freezing cold on Memorial Day - wasn't heated until the next day (or at least didn't feel any effects from heat). No hot tub. The sheets do not fit the king size bed. Other than that a pleasant stay at the Hilton and very friendly staff.
