Certifications

ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards
• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery
• Raise environmental awareness among employees and train them to adopt good practices in their activity
• Use eco-label housekeeping products
• Use sustainable forestry certified paper

ISO 50001

ISO 50001 is based on the management system model of continual improvement also used for other well-known standards such as ISO 9001 or ISO 14001. This makes it easier for organizations to integrate energy management into their overall efforts to improve quality and environmental management.

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

Nice lunch in a nice setting. Chairs and tables in the lounge bar aren't that suitable for eating but the atmosphere was nice.

I was here for a conference. The hotel looked nice and well kept, in the areas I was in. However the day bar staff seemed to struggle to meet the demand that was presented to them whenever their was a break in the conference precedings.

Had a weekend break with Hubby and although it's not the best Hilton we've stayed in, it does have character that you won't get in an ultra modern hotel. Entrance hall is impressive. We stayed on the ground floor - no dodgy smells, clean room, although it has some out dated furniture some of which I would agree needs changing (in room chair -fabric worn and discolored, curtains from the 90s) it's not offensive. Food is outstanding and staff throughout the hotel are extremely attentive and accommodating.

I have visited this hotel a lot over the past 10 years and stayed here a few times.
Until lately the rooms were very run down, but thankfully Hilton have started to refurbish the rooms which makes your stay a lot more pleasant.
Next they need to focus on the bathrooms as they look as they haven't been touched since the hotel was built.
Unfortunately they have not been changing the bed mattresses or sofa beds which makes sleeping rather uncomfortable.
The current staff are now very friendly compared to what they used to be.
Prices are also good as well. Seems Hilton have now realised they can't charge crazy prices any more for a less than average hotel.
WiFi coverage though is a joke. It's pointless trying to connect in a room.
