Certifications

ISO 14001

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. It is designed to help businesses remain commercially successful without overlooking environmental responsibilities, such as:

• Improve their environmental performance constantly
• Comply with local and national regulations and other requirements subscribed
• Prevent water, air and ground pollution hazards
• Control and optimise water and energy consumption
• Promote waste recycling and recovery
• Raise environmental awareness among employees and train them to adopt good practices in their activity
• Use eco-label housekeeping products
• Use sustainable forestry certified paper

ISO 50001

ISO 50001 is based on the management system model of continual improvement also used for other well-known standards such as ISO 9001 or ISO 14001. This makes it easier for organizations to integrate energy management into their overall efforts to improve quality and environmental management.

ISO 50001 provides a framework of requirements for organizations to:
- Develop a policy for more efficient use of energy
- Fix targets and objectives to meet the policy
- Use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use
- Measure the results
- Review how well the policy works, and
- Continually improve energy management.

It's good for a Homewood. Service is a little "why are you bothering me", exterior doors are locked 24/7, not at posted times (annoying to look for your key to get back into the lobby at noon), but the rooms and AC were great.

Location is convenient, can walk to Publix to grab a sub for dinner. Staff was friendly and room was clean. Though no plates, cookware, silverware, glasses, anything in the kitchen if you wanted to use it. Might as well have just given me a mini fridge. And don't go expecting the breakfast or evening social to be decent food or beverages. One evening we had cheese cubes and crackers, with Bud and two inexpensive wines. Another night, those little round bland dry cheese pizzas you probably ate in middle school. There is a tiny salad bar if you want. Lots of folks complaining and throwing food out. The hot breakfast in the morning was about as bad (think bland potato cubes and pre formed mini 'omlettes'), but a decent selection of bread, bagel and toast, etc. After staying at a local Embassy Suites a few weeks back, I expected a bit more from the food and beverages. If you just need a place to sleep, this works!!

My family and I had an awesome time the staff was wonderful and Chef Derrick at The Garden Grill and Bar is The Truth! The rooms were well kept and spacious. Please keep in mind you will pay for parking $30 a day which for the location you are in walking distance to everything.

Wonderful front desk staff, very accommodating. $30 for valet parking PER NIGHT is stupid though... Like I'd rather self park thanks...

Location was great, the room was clean but rather bland. The room was booked to sleep three adults and one 17 year old, but the sofa bed had no sheets and there were none in the room. The sheets were delivered quickly when requested. We were told we couldn't have a fold away cot because the room type wouldn't allow it. It was a one bedroom king suite and there was plenty of room, so I have no idea why. King bed was much too firm for my taste. Overall, about average.

I don't usually rant, but I'm going to do it now. So when you stay in a hotel a lot, sometimes your best way to wind down from your travels is watching a little tv. Don't expect that here. First, no online guide. I contacted the front desk to ask and NO, no online guide. Second, no accurate in room printed guide, it is totally useless. ......After you contact the front desk about it, they are no help. I asked them what service provider they use and searched out an online guide, that was no help either. It did not match up, an hour or so wasted. Finally found a station I wanted to watch and then went to the bedroom to watch it and surprise, the other tv did not have the same channels available and in no way corresponded to the channels in the other room. It wasn't even available on the other tv......how does that even happen??. What's the point of a suite??? I have now wasted a good 2 hours of my night and still haven't even caught a whole show. Alright, the hotel is nice so far but if most of my evening is wasted just trying to find something to watch, then its not worth it. I travel a lot and this is not ok. The response I got from hilton was deplorable and has prompted me to switch to Marriott for my future stays..a good 50 or so nights a year. I called hilton and only could get a promise of a future email reply. Good grief, Mon-Fri I am at a hilton hotel more than I am my own home, which, btw, I have a tv guide channel/listing. All I really needed was just a little help finding tv listings or just someone to pass along my requests for the future. I did a hypothetical phone call to Marriott with the same situation and got a way better response than all my phone calls tonight to hilton I spent dealing with this and it only started out with just a little frustration over tv channels. Although I have stayed at hilton exclusively for the last few years, their total lack of caring/and or response to my frustration tonight has prompted me to change to another hotel chain......really????? Follow up.......now I am at breakfast....sad to say. Once again, really? Steamy grey sausage? Ice in the OJ? That was a nice watered down drink. I have seen numerous people throw their entire plate of food in the trash. Glad I just opted for a bowl of cereal....but would have been nice if they actually had whole milk. Thankfully one more night to go and never again.

The room was nice, but it was very difficult to find at first. They had things to eat with and stuff in the room but nothing to cook with ( utensil wise) an didn't have a knife but a cutting board. The night shift was kinda rude but nice at the same time. We asked for coffie cups and a trash bag and it took them an hour to get them, and when we called to asked if they were still bringing them the gemtalman was rude about it and said it was only 15 minutes ago that we asked, and gave me a long excuse of why it was taking so long. But other than a couple of small things like that it was really nice.

I stayed for two weeks at the Homewood Suites in Mid Town Atlanta. I travel a great deal for business. All things considered, I was very happy with this hotel and would stay here again. The room was great. The Manager's reception was great. The staff were great. The only two things that I did not like was the unreliability of my room key and the mandatory valet parking.

By far the absolute WORST hotel stay ever. This weekend was planned as a fun birthday reward for the kids in my family since they are all so close... NEGATIVE. The cleanliness of the hotel, and guest rooms were great, when things were needed they were provided in a timely manner. There were 2 suites reserved for the weekend, upon check-in we were told that we would have to pay a $50 incidental fee per night, per room, in addition to a $30 per day parking fee. When the reservations were made we were informed of a $30 parking fee for our stay, we were NEVER informed of a $50 incidental fee per night, per room. We contacted Hilton to get clarity because we were not quoted these prices. The check in agent in turn got rude with myself, the Hilton agent that assisted us, and withy other party each time she saw us there was a rude remark stating that "let me let you handle them since they call corporate" to her co-worker. I understand that fees pop up from time to time but being harassed basically by the agent simply because there was a question regarding the price was completely unnecessary. Then in addition to paying the additional fees in cash we were then informed that we would have to wait to receive our refunds because "they don't give cash back at all no matter how you pay". I'm sure there is someone in management that would be interested in knowing how their agents behave with their guests. My kids and my weekend that had been planned for weeks was completely ruined! I'm an adult and I can accept changes but it's a totally different story when my kids have to be disappointed when they were looking forward to their reward.

Great hotel. Rooms are like small apartments with all the commodities you would need in their own separate space. Location is good as well as you are close to most important places in the city. Service was great as well.

The hotel room was decent. The maids did a great job keeping it clean and if we ever needed anything we got it. The bell good were wonderful and front desk staff were friendly too. You have to pay extra for gym which I didn't agree with. The gym is huge with a lot to do. Racket ball is also extra. The restaurant food was good but our service was horrible. We will never eat there again. The bar was cozy and the bar snacks were spicy. All in all a good place to stay.

I am staying at the Homewood Suites with my swim team. The staff has been very accommodating of us. We arrived early, and they quickly prepared a room so we could store out bags in it while we waited for the rest of our rooms to be prepared. Everyone has been extremely friendly.

We stayed at this hotel for a football game at the GA Dome. This is right off the highway for easy access. The hotel itself was beautiful. Very friendly staff. The rooms were modern and updated with large TV's. The only con would be the parking. Being in midtown there is no self parking. This hotel is valet only and..

This is a nice new property but it is pretty close to a major road and highway. Ask for a high floor or stay at Hilton Garden Inn if you plan to sleep early. Very close to midtown bars and cafés. Trains are just a few feet away.

We recently stayed at the Homewood Suites in midtown Atlanta. We were attending a swim meet at Georgia Tech so the location was ideal. The rooms are clean and spacious and include a kitchenette with full size fridge and dishwasher. There are hot beverages available in the lobby and a nice selection of choices for breakfast.

The suites are very spacious. Stayed here with some friends for music midtown. You could easily fit 6 friends in a room (king size room). The couch has a bed that pulls out. With plenty of floor space for an air mattress. Adorable kitchenette. With the option to drop off a shopping list. And the breakfast in the morning is decent. Looks like they use real eggs and sausage and not that lame microwave junk egg and sausage links.

Stayed here for DragonCon, had an EXCELLENT time. Staff was super accommodating of all of our requests (including for n+1 towels), always available, room was huge and very clean and well-organized, breakfast was good and refreshed pretty quick, shower had excellent water pressure, room was quiet despite being near elevator... I'll be returning here next year!

i've been here one night, but it's wonderful to be in a hotel so close to georgia tech and with such nice furnishings. i won't get too much use out of it because of work, but i'm definitely enjoying my time off. only problem is i'll have to wake up early for the free breakfast daily

Excellent hotel! We were a little early for check-in, so we waited in the lobby. They had some late check outs and we were held up about 30 minutes after check-in time. The staff was extremely courteous and offered us some snacks or beverages for our wait, we declined and went on to our room. The room itself was great. Very clean and comfortable, we had 5 people in a suite and it never felt cramped. Upon checkout, the lady there remembered us from the previous day and comped the $30/night valet parking fee and the drinks and snacks we had gotten the previous night before bed. Very pleasant surprise! The breakfast was awesome! Never seen such a nice breakfast selection at a hotel. I give it two thumbs up and would recommend it to anyone!
