Property's Green Action

To protect the environment, we are reducing water use, energy consumption and recycling waste with the goal of limiting our carbon footprint. We integrate sustainable development into our operating procedures, contribute to preserve local communities and the natural ecosystems in which our hotel is located. With all sister hotels, we have already planted three million trees as part of a global reforestation project supported by the United Nations. The last but not the least, we engage our partners and suppliers in their sustainable development strategy and integrate them into the responsibility chain.

Certifications

Planet 21 Bronze

AccorHotels created an action plan that offered actions listed below to promote sustainable development, tailored to the hotel context. Those initiatives are structured into 4 pillars & 2 specific issues:

- PEOPLE: Raise employees’ awareness of the eco-friendly practice
- CUSTOMERS: engage guests in a sustainable experience
- COMMUNITIES: work hand-in-hand with local communities for a positive impact
- PARTNERS: co-innovate to open up new horizons

- BUILDING: Move towards carbon-neutral buildings
- FOOD: Strive for zero food waste & healthy sustainable food

Then, to go even further, each hotel selects other actions from over 60 additional initiatives. This flexible system enables it to build its own program in line with AccorHotels’ commitments, but also reflects the hotel’s local characteristics:
- Its prior level of progress on sustainable development
- Its priority areas for improvement
- The environment and local issues

A weighting mechanism establishes the action achievement level with a score that places the hotel around the higher levels. Each level marks the progress hotels are making in implementing the Planet 21 program.

Amazing in Paris right near the la defense and it was free trip to and back the next metro station but they don't serve food but however they have a bar and shop. The best thing is the shops behind are all food and drink.

I stayed at the Mercury hotel from 14th August to the 16th August.

The room was clean and spacious and had a good view. However, that’s as good as it got. The staff were nice, but not at all professional.

When I arrived at my room after a long journey and was getting ready for bed, I was shocked to find that there were no toiletries or amenities available. I did not find a tooth brush, tooth paste, slippers, soap, shaving kit, ear buds, let alone shampoo! Only shower gel was provided. When I raised this with the staff they were very impolite and stated that they had none left in stock and to go buy it myself. The hotels stock list is not my problem- it is the responsibility of the hotel to make sure they maintain their standards and their customers are satisfied; it is their responsibility to find an alternative solution to their lack of stock and not the customers.

I am someone who travels a lot and I have always received amenities from all the hotels I have stayed at, especially a 4-star hotel! Therefore, for a 4-star hotel, this is disappointing and well below a 4-star standard.

Additionally, I was extremely disappointed with the breakfast. It resembled a canteen, with basic food provided. The croissants, jam, butter, and bread, were barely appetising.

I must stress that the reason for my extreme disappointment is because this hotel is labelled as a 4-star hotel. It felt more like a 2 star at most.

I would like for the hotel to review the way they run their business because at this rate, they will lose customers and their 4-star rating.

Not bad but a little bit expensive for his quality, I supposed it's the price for being in Paris, but is not in the center.
The worst part is the breakfast area, is small and totally chaotic.

It's a tired hotel with building work all around. They are currently refurbishing the rooms, but even the new refurbished rooms are just ok. One thing that I still don't get as a business traveller it is essential to have an iron and an ironing board in the room, this hotel has one iron and one ironing board for the entire hotel to use, it is tucked away by the gym and is only available during gym hours, unless you ask specifically for access. There is always a queue to use it.

The staff were nice and helpful though.

Also the hangers in the refurbished room caused damage to my shirts. After ironing shirts I hung them on the clothes hanger, in the morning I took them off and had red stain all over the collar from them.

If I come back to Paris I think I will try another hotel

The room was extremely cold but they brought me a space heater when I called the front desk. The wifi is intermittent but I believe that is because all of the access points have the same name and the connection algorithm on my phone could use some improvements.

the location is strategic which is the center of new commercial area. Its only need €15 to go to eiffel by original taxi. However, the breakfast menu is very standard...

Nothing is very fancy, but everything is tidy and done well. Nicely decorated rooms, polite staff and a tasty breakfast (even though it could have a wider variety, but what they serve is worth eating). If you plan to go here, don't forget to visit the solarium to see a nice view of the Eiffel Tower.

Nice big hotel in a great and quiet area. The staff are friendly and accommodating. On the downside, bathrooms are small. Nonetheless, good experience overall.

Check in with my travel group on the 22th Dec 2017. There is 2 suspicious guy in the hotel lobby when our bus arrive. One guy I heard went up to our tour bus after it arrive . However, our group last member saw him and question him who then slip away. The other guy that remain in the hotel lobby try to move closer to a member luggage and attempt to take away a bag while everyone is waiting for check in. He was spotted by our member and the hotel security on night shift was also alerted. Thanks to their quick thinking, nothing was lost. The hotel security did a good job, however hotel as a whole may not be very safe.

Not terrible, not great. Definitely one of the poorer Mercure hotels I've stayed in. Very basic.

Near La Defense subway by a 10-15 min walk. The same distance to Le 4 Temp Shopping. The hotel gives a breakfast to groups thats remembers a line to your High School meal. No so new apartment the cleaning of room is late, not so good, and for asking the cleaning lady something she accept it and never do what was asked.

Room was clean and comfortable. On the small side but I only used it for sleeping. Nice view onto the Eiffel Tower from my room. Breakfast very expensive for what you get. The la defense shopping district just around the corner.

Good hotel with good service but some room design pitfalls are strange, i.e. no sockets at bed head, vent right above your head in bath tub, small closet height.

Expected better from this Accor hotel based on good recent experience of the newer Novotels, but will avoid Mercure based on this visit. Room felt a little grubby and very poor mattress

The staff is really nice and I can't fault that. However, I'm more disappointed every time I go by the room. Either I got much bigger or the room are getting smaller. Especially the bathroom.

Nice business hotel. I had issues with blowing the fuses 2 times in my room when plugging items but but they were fast to respond. I ate 2 dinners at the hotel, one meal was amazing!! the other not so great. The staff was extremely helpful. Rooms would be small if on vacation and there was no desk to work at. Rooms were clean and very neat.

Hotel could use a renovation. If you plan to stay for a business trip in La Defense it's OK. Especially since the restaurant has a very good value for price. Very good food and wines!

Wouldn't recommend. Feels old and a lot of stuff didn't work right while we were there (shower had random temperature spikes, internet worked half the time, needs more space for breakfast, it was super crowded every morning plus it wasn't good). Not going to say it's a BAD hotel, but try to look for something else first

Basic hotel. Enough for business travel. Room was cold, even if I put the heat at the top. Bathroom was cold too. Very few water flow in the shower.
Noise from the outside at night.
At least Breakfast is good, quite above average I've seen.
Multifunction printer was not working when I was there.
Overall, I've seen better, but again it's not expensive. You get what you pay for.

You get what you pay for. It is conveniently located close to center of Paris but the services and ammendities is no where how it looks on pictures on the website. You should be out exploring the city anyways but this hotel is definetely in between a hostel and a lousy hotel.

Nice location and the room was fine, although there was a problem with the heating apparently due to being '"between seasons".
