Hotel Prinzregent an der Messe

As a place, in the traveller can recover, our hotel Prinzregent has a long tradition: During former centuries the house was the last postal station before the gates of Munich.
The hotel is situated in the quiet, grown Alt-Riem, but in walking distance to fairground. Off the big-city hectic rush, but from the city centre only ten minutes by car or suburban train. The technical comfort in the equipment of our rooms and a generously invested wellness area correspond to the claims of an international audience; the homy elegance and warmth of the atmosphere of the grown Bavarian hospitality at a family-leaded boutique hotel.

Great hotel. On walking distance to the Messe. We had the very spacious suite. Atmosphere is Bavarian, not like most hotels that are very modern yet lack real atmosphere. Parking space in garage costs a few Euros a day, but parking space is pretty roomy. Must admit exiting garage is bit narrow. Very very nice breakfast, with cook available to make your omelet to your liking. Restaurant serves good food and wine. Reservation in restaurant really required as it really gets fully booked quickly.
Few minutes walk to train station to get you to Marienplatz in Munich.
All in all we enjoyed our stay here.

We had a great time at the hotel. The suite was very clean and great in size for a family of 4 with separate toilet and bathroom. Staff were super friendly and helpful and we felt at home for a few days in Munich. Breakfast is excellent and the food in the restaurant was superb. We will definitely be staying here again when back in Munich.

10

Fabulous and very comfortable hotel in Munich!

I stayed here for two nights whilst attending a trade show.

It was very convenient for the main exhibition centre with a daily shuttle service.

Great breakfast buffet with a good selection of choice.

Friendly and very helpful staff
Warm , clean and very spacious bedrooms.

When I checked out I left a bag behind and didn’t realise until I’d returned to the UK. The staff were so helpful and arranged a courier service to return this to me....

Highly recommended

I truly enjoyed my stay here. So much more character than an international hotel chain. Room was super clean, newly renovated, great bathroom and shower. Restaurant Bavarian style. Good food and great beers. My advise: stay here or in a similar local hotel when you are visiting the Messe. Free shuttle service too :-) Walking distance to the S2 metro station. Will stay here again for sure.

Stayed here just one night between travels with my family.

The Good
Definitely clean and remodeled rooms and the staff were super helpful and friendly. Parking was good, though the garage was full there is free parking on the street! Also great breakfast lots of variety and good food.

The Meh
The bathrooms could be cleaner and the beds could definitely be more comfortable. Also when I book a twin room, for two people I do expect there to be pillows and blankets for two people. But they were friendly when I asked for more and provided me with more.

Would stay here again just because of the incredible cleanliness!

I stayed in this facility for three nights. I liked it and give it 85% due to few reasons will be listed below after touching upon my stay experience. The check in/out wad done fast and smooth. The room was clean and ready at the moment of the check in. The housekeeping was done daily. The breakfast was excellent and i liked it the most. It has many choices as well as the possiblity of placing some special orders. The parking was free and easy with no issues at all. The receptionists were amazing and helpful. The breakfast waiters were at the need and answer all of my question especially the lady (special thanks to her, i forgot to her about her name).

Few things could be improved to make the stay 5/5,
- minibar, the room i was given has no minibar.
- the soap was oily, i tried other soap and same result. I believe that the issue is in the water itself. I think the water used is a water well.
- the smell of the entrance was like a bar. I did not like it.

Other than above, The hotel has all the needed for an enjoyable stay. I recommend it and i will be back for sure.

Was there for a meeting, a nice boutique and apparently family run hotel. It has a lovely entrance, and lobby. Theres a lot of wood panelling. Beautiful, would have stayed in this hotel.

I would have rated it a 3 or 4 star because initially I found the place to be a bit over priced. But the staff behaviour, specially that is the main chef (maninder) really made up for it. Will really recommended the place.

The breakfast spread is great, plus the chef does accept special requirements. Do try out the tomato juice and omlet.

All was great til at breakfast time, bear in mind the breakfast was included in our stay and my wife looked to verify her room number BEFORE entering the breakfast room yet no kitchen staff wad to be seen, the waiter embarrassed my wife in front of the whole room filled with people. He shouted from across the whole packed room "YOU MUST TO PAY!"

He could have approached her and politely asked for her room number instead of yelling out loud from across the room.

It did not stop there. After my wife gave our room number and verified that, indeed we weren't theives like he made her out to be, 5 minutes later a second waiter came and approached her saying the same, "you have to pay... your room number please..."

Now, we would not stay here if we couldn't afford it.

Why is it that they treated my wife like a criminal!? She was holding our baby daughter in a baby carrier and wore a headscarf. I have a VERY STRONG FEELING that the waiter was RACIST and ISLAMOPHOBIC. The waiter was clearly PREJUDICE!

After we made a complaint to the front desk staff, the second waiter came to apologise, but the first did not and that the waiter was told off. They offered us an omelette, but we declined, having lost our appetites from being disgraced irrecoverably.

We are very disappointed by them. Was it our fault that there was no breakfast desk or waiter around? Im sorry, bit it's not. That's their provlem to resolve, along with their disgisting prejudices.

Definitely an excellent choice. A very clean and cozy hotel with a wonderful and really helpful staff. The family room is really spacious and the breakfast buffet is wonderful. Parking spaces available with an extra charge which is really reasonable.

* Lovely helpful, friendly staff, always smiling & clearly proud to be working at the hotel
* Beautiful german traditional food (and Schnapps!) in the restaurant
* Perfect location for the International Congress Centre -- a 15 min walk but much more peaceful/lovely area than right next to the centre
* Comfortable and spotlessly clean rooms/hotel
* Interesting combination of old and new building and some memorabilia from a previous hotel
* NIce little bonuses around the hotel like a few sweets at reception :-)
* delightful breakfast with plenty of interesting dishes on offer

If I was ever in the area again this would be my first choice!

Warm welcome (at reception, breakfast or restaurant), very clean hotel and room / bathroom, good food selection (breakfast / dinner). The bed is a bit harder than average (which I like), the noise of the street minimal. Only setback: the gym is a small room with 2-3 machines.

Sehr aufmerksames und freundliches Personal, schöne Zimmer - was will man mehr? Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Location is great - nice beer garden. Service more "check list" oriented than really caring. Kitchen boring, not much changing, not up to date regarding healthy or calory reduced food.
