Environment
Property's Green Action
To protect the environment, we are reducing water use, energy consumption and recycling waste with the goal of limiting our carbon footprint. We integrate sustainable development into our operating procedures, contribute to preserve local communities and the natural ecosystems in which our hotel is located. With all sister hotels, we have already planted three million trees as part of a global reforestation project supported by the United Nations. The last but not the least, we engage our partners and suppliers in their sustainable development strategy and integrate them into the responsibility chain.

Certifications
Planet 21 Bronze
AccorHotels created an action plan that offered actions listed below to promote sustainable development, tailored to the hotel context. Those initiatives are structured into 4 pillars & 2 specific issues:
- PEOPLE: Raise employees’ awareness of the eco-friendly practice
- CUSTOMERS: engage guests in a sustainable experience
- COMMUNITIES: work hand-in-hand with local communities for a positive impact
- PARTNERS: co-innovate to open up new horizons
- BUILDING: Move towards carbon-neutral buildings
- FOOD: Strive for zero food waste & healthy sustainable food
Then, to go even further, each hotel selects other actions from over 60 additional initiatives. This flexible system enables it to build its own program in line with AccorHotels’ commitments, but also reflects the hotel’s local characteristics:
- Its prior level of progress on sustainable development
- Its priority areas for improvement
- The environment and local issues
A weighting mechanism establishes the action achievement level with a score that places the hotel around the higher levels. Each level marks the progress hotels are making in implementing the Planet 21 program.

My wife and I had the most wonderful 4 days at the Sofitel. The entire front desk team were wonderful but of note, Pablo Castro (Head Concierge), Ariel Hook (Front Desk) and Nicolas Santamonica (Bell Person) went above and beyond their duty to make our stay comfortable and more like home. Pablo is incidentally also the Head of the Concierge organisation in Buenos Aries. A very down to earth gentleman who is full of on-hand knowledge and connections that were wonderful for us to tap into especially given this was our first visit to BA. Sofitel are lucky to have such a great advocate of the city and the Sofitel hotel. Ariel, the gentleman who checked us in and out addressed us by our first names throughout our visit and took a genuine interest on our explorations of BA and constantly checked on how we were enjoying our stay. He also managed to double upgrade us which meant that our 25th anniversary visit was even more special. Thanks Ariel. Nicolas was the bell-person who is always smiling and incredibly helpful in all matters of local directions and our luggage. Thanks Nicolas - do keep smiling. We would only recommend Sofitel to anyone considering a visit to BA.

great location, Central too many Museums Art Galleries and within a 10 - 50 minute ride of the majority of things to do in Buenos Aires. I would definitely come back. Housekeeping was wonderful reception was great and there's sufficient English spoken. As always learn the local language.

Lovely hotel, great service and experience. If you come around April/May watch for some work being done on Arroyo St. that is affecting accessibility in the zone for transit. Just as heads up.

Great hotel great location, staff are always around in the lobby and you're find there is always two people generally on security/door duty. Minibar is overpriced, but hey there's a supermarket next door (Express) around the corner is supermarket (full). Walking distance to the underground otherwise taxi/walk everywhere else

We stayed both here and at the Four Seasons, and believe it or not, I think the Sofitel wins - the rooms are gorgeous, the staff is young and super friendly and helpful. We arrived early in the morning after a long flight, and recognizing we were tired, the girl at the front desk escorted us to a quiet spot where we could relax until a room was available. She even got us refreshments and checked us in without us having to go back to the front desk. Additionally, the cafe makes the most perfect empanadas - some of the best we had in BA. One of my favorite hotels in which I've stayed, and that is saying something.

From the moment you walk through the door they start taking care of you. The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff is excellent. After getting off an overnight flight from Atlanta is nice to have someone waiting on you. We arranged for car service through them at a reasonable rate. The driver was professional and the car was clean and comfortable. Upon arrival we were greeted by name and provided refreshments while we waited on the room to be ready (early morning arrival). After a short wait we were escorted to the room and shown the amenities provided.
On this same trip we also stayed at the 4 Seasons and like the Sofitel better. They had some of the best empanadas we had during our stay in South America.

I am in BA for work and have been staying at the Sofitel BA for about four days already, with a a few days to go. I would say that this place is the best hotel that I have stayed in after spending time in about 20 hotels this year.
It is not a resort hotel with large outdoor areas and fancy pools, etc., but the hotel is beautiful, relaxing, and the customer service is first rate.
They treat you so good, you almost feel guilty about it. If you are traveling to BA and this hotel is in a convenient location for you, and are thinking about saving a few bucks to stay somewhere else, please punch youself in the face until you change your mind.
A very nice place. Luxurious. Relaxed and likeable people.
