At first glance it is an outdated hotel, but it’s really comfortable and has its own charme. The garden is beautiful, you can park your car, the breakfast is huge and the restaurant has good food in the evening. No need to go to town in the evening, but if you want to, they have a free shuttle. I would certainly come again.

I had a very pleasant stay of five nights at Hotel Victoria. The hotel staff couldn’t have been nicer and everyone at the front desk spoke near-fluent English.

While located just outside of the city center, the hotel offers shuttles there and a cab costs only $2.50.

The quality of the food and cleanliness of the rooms were also favorable.

The hotel grounds are very peaceful, with a large swimming pool and a lot of greenery. There are also some beautiful views, including from many of the rooms.

Overall, a great value and a good balance between a peaceful resort vibe and proximity to the city center. Probably the best option in the area if you’re staying for at least a few nights.

Was impressed with the entire hotel considering how inexpensive it was to stay for a week. Absolutely loved the tropical surroundings, excellent pool, many walking paths and the view from the restaurant/bar. Spent most our nights having a light dinner and drinks in the bar area admiring the view and enjoying the great weather. Hotel is about a mile or two from the main city center and has some intense hills when walking back to hotel. We enjoy exercise and prefer being active so while we enjoyed the distance from Centro, others may require transportation. The room was basic with mainly just necessities but it was clean and comfortable which is all that matters to us. Staff was always helpful and breakfast buffet was delicious. Highly recommend to anyone visiting this region of Oaxaca. You will not be disappointed staying here.

This is the first night. Room, restaurant and service, good so far. We are on the 700's, rooms above us have better view of the city. Housekeeping did a relly good job cleaning the room today. Superior rooms are very spacious we are a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 girls. Room has 2 double beds and a kind of sofabed for one person.

An awesome place. Its a a very nice mix between modern and traditional. The breakfast at "El tule" restaurant its so tasty. The rooms are very comfortable and you feel like home because they're separated. I'll return and recommend it. The place its so quiet and we enjoyed a lot.

Really conforting place. It has a shutle servise to la catedral wich is the area where all the mesium and nice restaurants are. Do not have to worry about paying taxi. Which you will be saving about 80 Mx pesos. Room have beatiful view to oaxaca's metropolitanian city.

La ubicación no es la mejor que puedes encontrar en la capital de Oaxaca, pero, las instalaciones valen la pena y lo compensa. El hotel tiene unas vistas preciosas, bellos jardines, alberca, bar y restaurante. En general el servicio es bueno ¡Lo recomiendo mucho!! Sobre todo si es la segunda vez que visitas Oaxaca y buscas un lugar más para descansar.

Great views of the city. Great pool, good food and great service. Make sure to take the tours to Hierve el Agua and Monte Alban worth the price you pay. Very recommendable for families.

Place is nice and stuff. It's used to be better, our third time at this place and I do believe new employees need some couching.
Receptionists were the worst, I do believe they are the most important impression for the business.

This is anything but a 5 star hotel. Perhaps it was 60 years ago when built. But not anymore. They are actually lucky that I gave them 3 stars. Only because I've traveled extensively through out Mexico. I worked for 7 years at the Westin Tabor Center in Denver, Colorado. I know luxury!

Amazing hotel on the top of the mountain. View of all Oaxaca city. Nice restaurant, pool and staff. It's located about 5min drive from the city centre or 15min walk.

The rooms are small but it is a nice hotel, with pool. The food at the restaurant is pretty tasty and is buffet so the variety is good. The only thing is that in the rooms the plugs are scarce so it is hard to connect more than two devices at the same time.

Nice outdoor pool. Very comfortable well equipped rooms with a great view.

Very friendly staff. Clean rooms. Onsite restaurant. Close to downtown but far enough away that it's relatively quiet weeknights. Weekend nights may have a band which is great to listen to, but could disturb sleep if you go to bed before they finish, depending on location of your room. Overall definitely recommend.

I liked the visit there, I enjoyed going to the pool and dining with friends. It is a familiar or casual restaurant, and the food is really good.

Close to downtown area. Great service overall. Restaurant has breakfast options (didn't try their dinner menu). Room was big with a beautiful city view. Free transportation to and from downtown.

I like that it has a nice view of the city, nice pool, spacious rooms, green areas, free transport to downtown. Restaurant has a nice view, but food is better somewhere else, like the hotel on the next block (Fortin). I didn't like that it's not just a single building but more kind of a residential area, so you have to walk a while to get to other parts of the hotel and about 7 minutes to get to the street, but if you don't mind that is a great option.

Rooms are great, I like the room service you can order food between 7am till 1 am

Nice location, out of the crowded and congested areas but just minutes from downtown and places of interest. Very easy to go out of the city and explore the surrounding towns.

Nice views of the city from our room, specially after midnight when things get quiet. The views at dawn where even better.

Convenient shuttle service from hotel to zócalo and back to the hotel, if you arrive driving, finding a parking lot is complicated downtown, but the shuttle makes it very easy and simple.

I went to a breakfast buffet, it was so wonderful, the food are very delicious, all is Oaxacan food, the service are friendly and very complaint, I recommend this place to visit, the locations are very comfortable and the view of the city are unique, is very close to the cerro del fortín, and close to the center if you like Walk

This is definitely one of the higher-priced hotels in Oaxaca, but the view really makes it worth it. Located up on the hill above the city, the views from the balconies are really hard to beat.
We were there in December 09, and sitting on the terrace with a nice hot cup of Oaxacan chocolate when the evenings get cooler truly is a blessing.

Apart from the view, the hotel is fairly average, and if you can't get a room with a view, you might want to opt for one of the cheaper alternatives in town where you will get better value.

If you have the chance (and budget) to get the presidential suite - do it! it's the one all the way on top - it's huge, round, and you have an enormous terrace (basically the rooftop of the building) - this is the most beautiful view of Oaxaca I have ever seen.
