Expensive parking fee we got a discount and it was still 30.00 per day sorry Indianapolis is not Honolulu. Rooms are fine, food good but again expensive for where we were. Meeting room are excellent great size and a/c cool them correctly. Front desk staff very helpful and friendly. Excellent restaurants within easy walk of hotel. Handy also to Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium.

My wife set up a weekend getaway downtown and we stayed in the Marriott. The room was very nice and the bed quite comfortable. The service was fantastic. They even sent a complimentary bottle of bubbly up to the room for my birthday. Another bonus is that the in-room breakfast wasn't "$23 for a piece of toast and an egg, but in your room" but reasonable prices for a tasty breakfast. Big fan, I'd return for other events.

Always do a great job helping host gen con
Edit: I'm editing this because the General Manager read and responded to my comment, which I made quickly and left no details. To add to my brief comment:
1. There always seems to be a good number of staff, who are all necessary to keep things running smoothly and safely.
2. They keep up with the restrooms about as best they possibly could considering the volume.
3. The staff is usually very friendly and excited to see us in our costumes just as much as the guests.
4. Despite the crazy summer heat and humidity they usually do a great job keeping the place cool so we're not passing out in our hot costumes. There's a lot of human bodies in one place and it must be draining to cool that much space. The only places that can get a bit warm are the places by exterior doors and there's not really anything they could do about that.
5. Having water stations set up every fifty feet is a live saver. Nobody wants people passing out from dehydration or heat exhaustion!

Thanks Marriott!

The proximity to everything is amazing! It's an easy walk to the ICC and a lot of restaurants. Service has been nice. Wish we had a refrigerator but all in all awesome. I hope to stay here every year (should we be so lucky!)

From the moment we walked in the (apparently very new) lobby, we knew it would be a nice stay. Check in was easy. The king room was spacious and had a nice (firm) bed. Cool chaise thing on the side with a nice table for eating/snacking. Bathroom was nice with a great shower. Super quiet but our room was as far from the elevator as you could get.

Beautiful hotel! Our staff just hosted our biennial convention here with over 1100 attendees. The hotel provided several amenities from bars, ballrooms, and lecture space. The inside and outside were clean and pretty impressive. The staff were informative, helpful, and polite. It was an absolute joy working with this location and I know we would do it again.

I visited for a conference. While they very nice and clean, and they served very good food, I took exception to the tables provided. We had tables suited for two chairs on the first day. On either side, the diagonal support bars bumped my legs (I'm 6'2). On the second day, we had tables suited for three chairs on each side, but only the middle chair wasn't in a spot where the person sitting would have to have a vertical bar between their legs. For a hotel that has such large and otherwise accommodating meeting rooms, I've never been inconvenienced like that.

Was nice and newly renovated. I had a reservation but they didn't find my name. I produced the confirmation number and it had been checked in by someone else. They got me a different room but the bed wasn't made. Third time was a charm though. 🤣 I did get an upgrade (room in the corner) which was nice.

Myself and 3 others came to town for a huge summit. We had a bill of a little over $900 to be split 4 ways (a little over $200 a piece) turned into 2 of my roommates being charged over $500 at initial check in - an additional $180 a piece for incidentals - this being after a card was already provided and "on file for incidentals" Upon payment of the 4th person's part of the room, only $300 was charged. So now we are maybe $700-$800 over charged on our room. I spent 3 hours getting this fixed - the hotel tried to set it right by giving us gift certificates to the restaurant inside their hotel. We set a reservation for 11 and was told that it was good to go. This restaurant marked our reservation as a "no-show" at 10:15 "after leaving a voicemail" that wasn't received.

As far as the rooms go - 4 day stay, 4 people, 4 towels = 1 towel per person, no fridge and very little space in the room to even move. Housekeeping didn't show up at all until we called for more towels and then we were told there was going to be a wait for towels.

Although the hotel tried to do the right thing in the end, it was by far the worst experience I have ever had in dealing with a hotel. The lack of basic math ruined it for me.

World class experience. Room service is phenomenal, the room was spotless. Every time I returned was like the first time I walked into the room. Staff in and around the front desk were cheerful and helpful. There's a bar that sits on the corner of the hotel with an outside patio that I visited my last night in Indianapolis, had an amazing hummus starter and a blackberry drink that was also great. And that's just the general guest experience. I had the pleasure of seeing their ballroom three times over the weekend, and the food and overall experience they offered exceeded any expectations by far. I've been to many similarly catered events and there's always one or two things that could have been better. I can't name one. Thank you to everyone at the Marriott that helped me feel very welcomed and even pampered away from home.

Newly remodeled lobby area. Staff is extremely accommodating. Walking through the lobby we were greeted by several different staff members, in different areas of the large entry/lobby/refreshment center/bar area. The bar right off of the lobby has a very nice private patio street side. We had a tiny complaint about the refrigerator in our room, after it very quickly being addressed, an assistant manager tapped on our door to deliver a gift basket to make up for their mistake and overlooking that there was a small amount of food left behind by the previous guests. Very impressive guest relations! Rooms are nice as well!

Rooms appear to have been recently renovated, and are very nice. Clean, contemporary, equipped with nice amenities. Hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. Two bars, a VIP lounge, a Starbucks, and a small store make the lobby an easy place to frequent. Our room was quiet. Ice is not available in every floor. I saw no soda or snack machines. Short walking distance from great restaurants, shopping, a theater, museums, etc. Would recommend.

We stayed at the Downtown Marriott on a Friday night. Service was great. Room was freshly remodeled. Shower was pretty great. Comfortable bed. It was an extremely convenient stay for participating in the Indy Mini. Skyway walk to the Expo at the convention center. A 5 minute walk to the Circle Center Mall, monuments and plenty of dining options. We parked our car for the entire trip. The only negative I would take away from this is place is that there is no mini fridge in the room and no microwave available for guests to use. Location is the biggest plus of all!

Hotel has been nicely updated throughout. They just opened a new MLife lounge for Gold Elite and above members. It's really nicely appointed with complimentary food and drinks 24 hours a day. Stead are all very friendly. Staying here for a conference but would come back again if ever in the area for another reason.

Didn't like how they don't make it clear on the website or on the phone that it costs $49 to park! Had some random charge on my card after the stay. However, after finding out there was no refrigerator in the room they did bring one up for my husband's insulin. And since we were there for a convention they gave us extra parking time and held our things for us until 5. Loved that we could get to so many places without going outside.

No POOL!!!! They no longer have a pool Which is still being advertised on many 3rd party sites!! Lounge and Lobby area under construction and no restaurants on site.
That being said, our room was updated and very nice. We parked next door in the parking garage for $25 a night as long as you do not move your car. It has walk way over to Convention Center and the neighboring JW Marriott. We got free breakfast with our deal, that had hot items, fruit, oatmeal, cereal, pastries. It got very busy with a very long line to be seated. At first the gentleman who checked us in said we only got one breakfast voucher with our deal and it would cost $20 each, but after my crazy look, he added two more for my children. It clearly said breakfast included.

A pretty nice hotel, with a great location, and a great staff. There are better hotels in Indianapolis, but few have as good of a location. If you're coming into downtown Indianapolis for one of the sporting events, conventions, or just to hang out in downtown this is the hotel for you. Nice rooms, cheaper than some of the nicer hotel rates, and walking distance to all of the hot spots.

Yes, they are still under reconstruction. Not that I knew before I showed up. Great job Marriott for not letting me know. Even stating on your website "newly renovated". Was told at check " sorry for the inconveniences, however your room has been updated". After checking out the room looks like a very cheap remodel and the HVAC system was terrible. Freezing for half an hour and cooking for the next. Main entrance had been moved to the side and apparently hidden from all taxis. However, Marriott did manage to keep the price the same. At $295 a night for a single room. I suggest you choose another hotel if possible.

Great hotel, friendly staff. The workout room is very nice as well. Hotel is currently under construction but noise wasn't an issue. I stayed in one of the newly refurbished rooms and it was very comfortable.

It's under construction so it's not the best time to stay. That said, the rooms are great and the location is great for access to restaurants and events. I only stayed one night so I can't speak to everything. I didn't spend too much time in the main area but from what I saw the restaurant looked good. The gym is excellent and while I didn't use they pool it too was very nice. The room was really comfortable and would suit both business travelers and family. The location is really the biggest draw. Close to bars, restaurants and the stadium. The only downside is the renovation, it's a nuisance but nothing that would deter me from coming back soon.

Beautiful hotel in a great location downtown Indy. Connected to the convention center and short walk to shops at the Circle Center. Currently under some construction but the rooms are done and awesome. The rest is slated to be done April 2018. New restaurants, lobby, conference rooms. Would recommend!

The staff is very professional and helpful. But the lower rooms that face the side street behind the hotel are very loud at night. In the middle of the night the buliding in the other side of the side street gets truck deliveries. You hear the metal gates slamming and the sounds of pallets being rolled off. Also dumpster pickup is also done on this side street. So if your on a lower level you will likely here he dumpsters being emptied at 4am. I advise you to bring earplugs or ask to stay on a higher floor. Other then that the hotel and it's staff are awesome.

Excellent service. Rooms were top of the line with freshly renovated rooms. Wonderful views of downtown. At the time, renovations were talking place in the lobby so there was not a restaurant on site. Hotel was connected to convention center via sky bridge. Great location in downtown with convenient access to restaurants, shopping and entertainment.

The venue is nice, but parking is impossible if your event is at all large. All of the staff was friendly (from an attending event staff's perspective; I had no part in organizing). There was plenty of space inside, accommodations were nice and the sandwich lunch was average. Really there were no problems other than parking, but I had to spend $37 to park at another hotel for a 1-day event.

Still under remodel/construction during my visit but very well organized and put together considering. Staff was friendly and helpful, upgraded rooms were nicely decorated/equipped and modern. My only complaint is the lack of a refrigerator and microwave in each room.

Loved this property. The staff is EXCEPTIONAL, which reflects the management of course. First rate! I first booked this property a couple of years ago- during a horrendous blizzard-with car troubles and they went above & beyond duty in providing assistance, including driving me to the cell phone store when the charging port broke on my cell phone, THEN granted me a later Checkout until my car was repaired. Reminds me of the country businesses that I grew up with. The Marriott corporation has THE BEST corporate relations policies of all of the hotel chains bar none.

Even though they were in the middle of remodeling I couldn't have been more pleased with this place. The staff was nice, friendly and super helpful. I can't get over how nice the people of Indianapolis are! I dropped my phone with my id and credit card, and the front desk people were extremely friendly and helpful, letting me borrow their computer to show them my itinerary and went outside to help me find my phone. Turns out, a local taxi driver had found it, and he called me over to give it to me. Such an adventure, and I'm extremely grateful!

Great view from 19th floor overlooking City lights. Need to add mini refrigerator and microwave to the room though. Room is fairly bare bones at a $260 per night price tag. Room phone not working. Called front desk by cell phone to ask for someone to check it out. Was led to believe someone would be right up. As hour later still no one showed up. Decided to forget it. Parking $40 per night to self park and $45 per night for valet parking. This is definitely not for the economy minded.

Nice, recently renovated rooms. Out of the few Marriott's I've stayed at in the last few months, this was easily the best. The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond expectations. Hotel was within easy walking distance of restaurants and the stadium, and a super convenient stay for the Indy Monumental Marathon. The only real negative I had with my stay is that the pillows weren't that great, but this seems to be a thing across Marriotts.

Recently renovated rooms and hotel, so everything was new. The beds were very comfortable, with several pillows provided per person. The location is minutes from all the popular downtown restaurants and other popular places. The hotel has recently been renovated and the look is beautiful. The bed is so soft and comfortable it was very hard to get up to go the functions we had planned for the days we stayed. The hotel staff were very nice, friendly and well to help with anything we need. I am very pleased with my stay and will come back.

My experience with the Indianapolis downtown marriott has been just awesome. I had to call to change reservations and some other things a few times before we got here and everyone was great. Went to the Mariott for a short business event with breakfast. Staff was helpful, main food was good and overall the space was excellent. Great hotel. Most staff are very friendly! William and John were so fantastic and made our entire stay worth while! Can't wait to go back just to see them again! Food is okay, nothing stunning. Came for an event. The hotel looked very nice. Staff was very friendly. I thought the parking was crazy expensive! $43.00 for 3 hours!! And getting in the building was nuts! They are doing construction on the front of the building was you have to walk around.

The rooms are newly designed, very nice. The service is fantastic. Employees went above and beyond to make sure my visit was excellent. "My pleasure" was a common phrase used by several employees I interacted with. I brought my 4 year old with me. The waitress in the lobby restaurant went above and beyond and took him to the restroom for me since it was located outside of the restaurant. Multiple times during dinner employees came over to check in on us. I was alone with my 4 year old (who is darn cute) so I appreciated the conversation and interest the employees took in us. A couple of things were not perfect but they were quick to fix it an apologize.

My mother, sister and I had a girls trip to Indianapolis and wanted to be near downtown so we booked a double bed room. The hotel is under renovation and the front desk attendant told us the construction crew would only be working from 9 AM- 6 PM. Not true! At 0730 there were power tools, hammering, and nails dropping right above our heads. We could hear the workers conversating and laughing. The cleanliness of the rooms need worked on! Found a used Q TIP right next to my bed and the shower was disgusting. Before 9 am, two people had knocked on our door, go away let us relax!' I took pictures and videos of it all to make sure people aren't wasting their hard earned money. Very disappointed!

Beautiful Beautiful Beautiful hotel. Great kind hearted staff. Its nice to have a food places inside the hotel for example Starbucks. Even though there is no pool, I still enjoy my time and visit in this hotel. Great luxury rooms and lobby. When I first got here, a young man helped my family and I with our luggage. We thanked him and tipped him. Give him money for helping us, we appreciated his help and he appreciated the tip. As said again, the staff here in Indy downtown Marriott are very kind hearted humans. This is not the last time I will visit this hotel, I will be coming more to this hotel in the future. This hotel earned 5 excellent stars.

Great hotel and wonderful staff. The hotel is located perfectly in downtown Indy and is a wonderful place to stay when visiting or doing business in town.
The hotel is doing a bunch of remodeling as of Early 2017... So there are some things being worked on including the conceirge lounge. Don't let that deter you from staying. The staff goes out of their way to make sure the construction doesn't interfere with things.

Highly recommend this hotel

It was AMAZING. I went in the Summer of 2016. It was very nice. I was there for a convention. The convention rooms were great. The room was nice and clean. Location was great. Pool was not so great at all. That is the only reason I'm giving it 3 Stars. Would recommend everything but the pool.

Awesome service as soon as we pulled up we were greeted with smiles! Customer service is this locations specialty. I've been to a lot of hotels and by far this is the best experience I've ever had. The hotel staff is great, very friendly and accommodating. Very easy access from the parking garage, and conference center, as well as close proximity to activities and food options. This is a fine hotel. It's clean and safe and very Marriott. It's connected to the city's skywalk network so you can get around the convention center and downtown mall without going outside, which is nice when the weather doesn't cooperate. The staff is awesome. I'm dinging it a star because the room was a little beat up. The shower tile had been repaired and not very well and it just felt a little dated. Not bad.

We had made reservations for a suite with a king size bed and they didn't have that room available when we checked in, I was pretty dissatisfied about that portion of the stay. The people at the front desk were nice, the bed was ok, pillows were less than pleasant, and they have markings for beverage centers on the floors but the only place I could find drinks were in the lobby downstairs. Parking was $40 which I thought was outrageous, we ended up parking a few blocks away for less than half that but we had to carry our things in the freezing temperatures to get to the hotel. Overall barely a 3 out of 5.

Under renovation... but do not let that scare you off. They have a VERY helpful staff. No issues getting lounge like access for drinks and breakfast and the manager was very helpful in fixing a rate issue with my reservation.

Beautiful hotel. Well maintained and clean. Easy access to the convention center, and if you stay in the skywalks, you can get to the circle center mall as well. Close to victory field, NCAA HQ, museums and white River. Great place.

We spent the weekend here for NAM pageant. The building is beautiful. The girls loved the escalator while I preferred the elevators. The third floor has Gatorade in their vending machines. There is a Starbucks in the lobby as well as a restaurant.

Stayed for Gencon and extremely convenient. Nice rooms, perfect for a couple of friends or maybe more if you don't mind sharing floor space. Hotel was not very accommodating to getting a cot or rollaway for additional guests in a room with double beds.

A little pricey for what you get here, but the rooms were nice and clean. Valet is a great option but wish they would lower the price just a bit. Very friendly staff.

Amenities were clean and attractive. Staff was helpful. Parking was overpriced. I parked across the street to save money

The venue is nice, but parking is impossible if your event is at all large. All of the staff was friendly (from am attending event staff's perspective; I had no part in organizing). There was plenty of space inside, accommodations were nice and the sandwich lunch was average. Really there were no problems other than parking, but I had to spend $37 to park at another hotel for a1-day event.
