Just returned home from an exceptional experience with the Kimpton Marlowe. This was our first trip to Boston and the front desk at check in shared some points of interest that were all great! Our room was large and comfortable, and the bed made us feel like we were sleeping on a cloud. We had several meals at the restaurant and were very happy with the food and the people working there. Our last night, we found our safe would not open...we called the front desk and they promised someone would come at 8am... at 7:55 someone came to get our safe open and apologized several times that it happened ... at check out, the front desk also apologized (we weren't upset...things happen). All in all, the staff at the hotel was the best we have ever dealt with...everyone was friendly and helpful. Looking forward to our next visit!

I had the pleasure of staying at the Kimpton Marlowe Hotel. During our stay we came across some extraordinary people. Two of them, were night front desk staff at the Kimpton. They both made our stay so welcoming. So, friendly from the moment we checked in. Having such a beautiful hotel & great staff like these two in particular really made our stay so enjoyable. Thank you, for making our first visit to Boston so remarkable!

This is a lovely hotel centrally located in Boston. The rooms are large and clean. The food is fantastic, and the room service is pretty quick. The staff at this hotel are pleasant to deal with. I would easily have given 5 stars, however, it seems that the valet smoked in my car, as there was a stale smoke smell in my car and cigarette ash on the window and door. If I smoked, this wouldn't have bothered me, but I don't smoke and my car was brand new. We had a fantastic weekend at the Kimpton Marlowe, but the valet soured our experience.

Stayed as a guest for 2 nights. Room (king bed) was a good size for two plus baggage. Inner view of the courtyard was unexciting. Way access to shopping and local transit. Parking is a bit of hassle as you have to use the garage in the mall next door. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Would definitely stay again for day trips to Boston.

Wow. I was literally speechless about how amazing this hotel was on our stay. My husband and I took a little vacation to Boston for just three days, he has never been. We upgraded our room to a view, best decision ever. On the 7th floor, we had a perfect view of Boston! This first reason this place is amazing: They allowed my rabbit to come along. NO FEE, no questions. At the counter, the staff was so excited to see him! The knew he was coming, it was such a little thing that made me so happy, instead of making me feel weird about it, which come on, who brings a rabbit to a hotel? He was so excited hopping around the room, really relaxed and I didn't have to worry about him all weekend. The rooms were clean, smelled great, had awesome little touches. It had everything you needed, and if you didn't want to go out, it was there in the hotel. Take what you need! I really didn't want to leave the room the first night. Second, the staff was so nice. The woman who checked us in was BEYOND friendly. I never had to wait, and it was busy in there at times, always had a quick and easy time getting information. We had room service and the woman who brought it was super cute, even talked with my husband a bit and pet my rabbit. We like that kind of stuff, friendliness, and no we are not an old couple, we are in our twenties... Third, we were allowed to rent bikes here. WOW. This was great, easy, quick, hassle free. The valet helped us right away. We rode to breakfast at The Friendly Toast. Go there! So fun! We had the bikes all day in Boston and returned before sundown. So cool. When we wanted to go out, the valet called us a taxi, and that was cool to me. I love that it was quiet at night, we walked around the hotel, so beautiful! We are not city people, and even my husband was loving the walks and views. This was just an amazing weekend, and I really have to thank the hotel for it due to ease and comfort. Great location to Boston, so close. We didn't eat here, except for some coffee and bagel room service, but it looked lovely in the rooms where you do eat. I am sure it is tasty. Thanks Again. :)

We stayed here several nights recently while visiting family. The rooms were clean, spacious and quiet with an abundance of toiletries on standby. Complimentary kayaks and ice cream floats made our stay exceptional; unfortunately every interaction we had with the young front desk manager Allie Haddad was unhelpful and unfriendly. Drivers should note that self parking in the adjacent mall garage is per hour if you pay the Garage directly, while Kimpton will post the bill at 3pm. If you arrive in the evening as we did it’s more economical to pay the garage $30 for a full 24 hours of parking.

Rooms are nice and spacious, outside the lobby is a very nice place to just sit back and chill. Location is next to a couple good walkable food spots as well as the mall. Charles River is very close and makes for a good morning walk. Gym is workable, there were some free weights and even a punching bag. Room service was quick and friendly when we needed supplies. Overall good stay, would stay here again if I'm back in town.

Great experience! Lovely people. Every day after we back to the room it was very clean. Pretty big room with a huge bed, we had a table and a comfortable chair next to it. The single couch was also very nice. The hotel have is own kayak, bikes, and extra activities for free. The hotel serve coffee (hot and cold) every morning and they have an happy hour around 5pm. Easy 5 star for me.

I only went to the restaurant, therefore, can't speak of the hotel itself. However, the restaurant was all right. The decor is unassuming and stylish: not gawdy or pretentious. Food is not bad and affordable. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because I think five stars should be given when everything is superb and exceeds expectations. In this case, expectations were met, but not more than that.

It's located on the Cambridge side. You feel a bit isolated from Boston. It's a quick ride across the water, but would have preferred to be in Boston's North area. There is a mall close by, but not great for a night life. The area rolls up the carpet by 9pm.

Things I look for when staying at a hotel: convenience, comfort, modern, cleanliness, and good customer service. This hotel exceeded my expectations. I do a lot of travel for work and to be perfectly frank, this is one of if not the best hotel I’ve stayed at. If I’m back in the area, this will be my hotel of choice. I wish every major city had a hotel of this quality.

Great hotel. Me and the missus away from the kids for the night. Staff made parking, check in, info sharing a breeze. They also, somehow, understood we were on a date night and when we got to our room had champagne on ice. Great view, quiet, hydration and coffee stations. Recommended.

Kimpton is my favorite brand in the IHG portfolio. The Marlowe is a great example. From the unique roundabout courtyard and sculpture, to the beautiful rooms and conference area to the excellent menu at Bambara, it's hard to find anything to complain about. Staff was very friendly and attentive across the board - front desk, wait staff & bartenders, valets & doormen, housekeeping. Excellent location. Great Cambridge restaurants within walking distance and downtown is just across the bridge. Galleria Mall is right next door. There is a back hallway through which you can access the shared parking deck and the mall. Very convenient, if a bit spooky going through the maze to get there. I also love that an upscale establishment like this allows pets. Recommend a room with a view of the park and the river.

The location is ideal for the plans we had. I love the decor and especially the cleanliness throughout the hotel. The staff is extremely welcoming and accommodating... even with umbrellas on a rainy day! Room service serves delicious fare from the inhouse restaurant, BAMBARA. They even provide bicycles and kayaks for the guests to fully enjoy the surrounds. Elegantly wonderful!

Nice hotel. They don't have breakfast but there's a restaurant named bambara near the reception. The food is good there. The hotel rooms are clean. We can walk to galleria mall from inside the hotel itself which is big plus.

My wife and I stay here whenever we are visiting Boston for games or to visit family. It is in a great location, walking distance to the TD Garden and museum of science, and has great views of the Zakim Bridge and the Charles River. The rooms are nicely appointed and very clean. The staff is awesome, very thoughtful and friendly, they sent up a complimentary bottle of champagne and cupcakes when they found that it happened to be my birthday. Couldn't recommend more!

I've stayed here a ton, and my last visit was not nearly as great, I don't know if it was I IHG ruining the Kimpton's or just a bad stay but I and the people I stayed here with had problems up and down. Check in with the late night staff wasn't great, people had said the maid staff had tried to clean the room with the door locked and the do not disturb sign out. The rooms were still alright but things weren't nearly as great as I remember them being.

I went to the pop up Christmas bar. The drinks were very good however the atmosphere lacked something. They needed music they needed more holiday cheer it was very packed and crowded and the people weren't very cheery but two drinks were very good and the menu was very cute but they needed music and they definitely needed more Christmases Eve feeling

The hotel was a very easy walk, even in the cold with a dress on, to the science museum. All I can say about this hotel is excellent service! They really care about their guests! Arrived early in the morning, and they allowed us to check in when was a check out time. Told them it was our honeymoon, and after we left the hotel to explore the city, we came back and there was a champagne and strawberries waiting for us on the table, with a handwritten congratulations card. Didn't expect that at all. Also, everything was very clean, large room, and good view. Will come back again!

Stayed here more than 100 nights so far in 2017 and love the rooms, service, and friendly staff! Sean and Meredith are amazing plus Ali and many others make you feel right at home. Definitely park at the Cambridge Galleria yourself and you’ll save quite a bit of money and stress. Also try to get a room facing the Charles River - beautiful scenery year round!

I had a one of a kind AMAZING experience here this weekend! We came to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday & the staff went out of their way to make our stay special! We arrived very early in Boston & were gonna drop our bags off but room was ready early, they even upgraded us to a room with a view. Everyone was super helpful & accommodating from the front desk to housekeeping & dining services. I emailed them prior to arrival & texted them throughout our stay--very responsive! They displayed an 8x10 picture of us and even picked up some of his (favorite) sour candies!!! I will stay here again & HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Boston! Great hotel. The rooms are really nice and all the amenities are nicely styled. Little things like the plugs on the night stand are easily accessible, but at the same time fit the decor and aren't an after thought added later. The staff is super awesome and extremely helpful. When we mentioned that it was my wifes birthday at check in, they gave us an upgrade to better room. Then later on some nice little snacks showed up.at the room. I stayed at the hotel since I had a school competition at the business school nearby. To start, the location is awesome if you don't have a car or don't want to drive. It's connected to a mall and lots of nearby restaurants. It also isn't too far from other attractions ~15 minute drive. The hotel itself is great. If you forget anything they have a lot of things you can ask for such as a make-up mirror, tweezers, toothbrush etc. I didn't have anything to complain about but one thing to note is that the hotel is dog friendly so if you have sensitive allergies I suggest letting them know so they can help you accommodate. All in all, the hotel was great, the staff was friendly and efficient and I loved the scenery and location.

The Kimpton Marlowe in Cambridge is just simply 'spectacular'. I work in Cambridge and some evenings when the weather is bad or I don't want to wait in traffic for hours, I will rest my head here. Each time I've visited (about 4 now) I am greeted with open arms by the front desk. Everyone that I've met at the front desk always has a smile on their face and are ready to take care of you. During my last stay I was given a voucher for their nightly wine happy hour, since I missed it, with my later arrival. I was able to use the voucher in the attached restaurant 'Bambara'. Once I arrived after a long day of work and bad day in general (I had fallen on the sidewalk and scraped my knee earlier in the day) I was again, greeted and treated like a VIP. Patrick was behind the bar, and he made me feel special the second I sat down to grab a glass of wine and relax. Patrick was great at making everyone at the bar feel like they were the only one there and yet, had my glass of wine refilled each time before it became empty. Wonderful prompt service and he knows how to make a guest feel special. I ordered a side of their (DELICIOUS) thicker cut french fries and Patrick even took care of that order for me. After my prompt wine service, comped (and delicious) french fries....Mario (the Chef) came out to give me samples of both the chocolate homemade ice cream and mango sorbet. They make it in house at the restaurant and you can tell...it's just divine. The rooms at the Kimpton Marlowe are always perfect, clean and have gorgeous views of Cambridge. I would (and do) recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Cambridge or Boston area- as the service is second to none. Thank you! :)

Another wonderful kimpton property. Great location in Cambridge, super close to highway and the Charles River. Attached to a big mall by a covered walkway - precious in Boston wintertime. The rooms have a cool antique world traveler theme. Beautiful and unique decor. On site restaurant is really good. Free bikes, kayaks (!), coffee reception, wine reception, ten bucks free minibar. Great service as usual. Prices for the room were shockingly reasonable and they offer awesome last minute deals on their website. I am in love with their frette linens. And their toiletries.

I love all Kimpton hotels, and the Marlowe is no exception! The staff were super friendly and gave us a free upgrade to a bigger room without any prompting on my party whatsoever. The decor is a great mix of Art Deco and Traditional (in the interior decorating sense), and the vibe is what I'd call "luxury casual." Dinner at Bambara was wonderful and delicious, as was Sunday brunch. We'll definitely be returning here for future "staycations" when we just want a little break from the daily grind.

Full disclosure, I haven't stayed at the hotel yet. But just trying to book with them has been a nightmare. First, I was told that they would price match only to say after getting transferred 3 times that they weren't getting the same price for the same dates- I offered a screen shot- no, I'm sorry we can't accept a screen shot. Fine, it was a difference of less than $50 bucks. Because the hotel was beautiful from the pictures I thought hey I'll still book this place. Second, as I was booking two rooms separately on their website (because I wasn't going to call them again), I got an offer to upgrade my second room to an exec suite. The exec suite was the room I booked first and pay $388.00 per night. When I booked the second room, I got an offer to upgrade to the exec suite for a price of $314 per night. I called the front desk and they directed me to the call center (rut-roh). This time they were straight up rude. Look, I understand you are from Boston, but as a paying customer I don't like to be talked down to or patronized. After discussing and repeating the situation over again, they said I would have to call the hotel back. I called the hotel back to which they responded that it was weird, but Shawn was able to go ahead and match the price for me (which is why I gave it 3 stars instead of 2). Although this process was very painful, I'm going to give them one more shot. I hope it's a good decision.

The staff was outstanding and the hotel was absolutely first class. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I had an issue one night and it was fixed quickly and without attitude! Location is very convenient to the green line, but not very to other public transit. Lovely space, though, and very courteous and kind staff. I recently stayed at the Cambridge location. Partial business/partial pleasure. I must say that I had an excellent stay. Everything from the meeting room to the sleeping room was excellent. The food was delicious. The location is very convenient to all parts of Boston. BUT the best part was the STAFF. Everyone from the doormen/bellman; engineering; front desk; banquet; sales; bartender; and housekeeping were the nicest, most accommodating people. Can't wait to return!! thank-you.

My wife and I ran 5 miles around the Charles. We made it back to the hotel a hot mess. The friendly staff greeted us with ice cold bottle waters. Five stars. Wine time is great too.

Awesome hotel! By far one of the best experiences that I have when come to Boston for business. Super friendly staff and always very helpful. The rooms are spacious and offer great views. Bambara, the restaurant downstairs is pretty good too. I would recommend you to stay here.

We've stayed at Kimpton properties before and this one is just as greatas the others. The staff is courteous and very friendly and the rooms are super clean. It's pet friendly and we brought our Shiba with us. They had a dog bed and two bowls (food and water) waiting in the room for him in the room. This place is great.

A glass of wine and a view of downtown Boston. Great hotel in a great location. Friendly welcoming staff. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay in Cambridge.

It was nice enough. Nice decor, and their wine hour was a cute idea. But, I wouldn't go so far as to call this a luxury hotel. For the price of the room I would have expected breakfast to be included, not just coffee. It was also annoying to have to sign up for their rewards program in order to get WiFi access.

Hotel Marlowe is our place to stay in Boston. A staff that wants to help you-everyone was friendly and competent. Lobster omelette was brilliant for breakfast.

Great service, nice and big rooms, and most important very helpful and welcoming reception staff especially Sarah. I tried the room service, restaurant, and laundry services and all were perfect. The hotel location is great and also it is attached to Gallery mall which a relatively big mall and it has all what you might need.

The room, the view, the restaurant, the location and the staff. Especially Taylor who assisted my son and I with finding our way around Boston. Thanks to her we were able to see so much while there. And after sightseeing all day we returned to a lovely tray of treats. We will definitely return to the Hotel Marlowe next time we are in town. Thank you!

Hotel marlowe values customer service all the way! I mean from the moment you enter you feel it. Every staff member was kind and made our stay wonderful. We travelled to boston for a show and my experience here was amazing. I would of spent two nights instead of one. It is about five mins from all the museums and TD garden. Highly recommend staying here.
