Certifications

Audubon International Silver

The Audubon Green Leaf Eco-Rating Program began in 1998 to meet the lodging industry's desire to provide quality guest services while minimizing its impact on the environment. Hotels are awarded one to five Green Leaves based upon the hotel’s commitment to:

• Saving energy
• Reducing waste
• Conserving water and resources
• Preventing pollution

The state of New York is launching its state hotel certification program using the Green Leaf standard. The New York State Hospitality and Tourism Association selected Audubon International’s Green Leaf Eco-Rating Program for Hotels to be the independent third-party evaluator for its green lodging certification, which is part of a larger state initiative to support and market sustainable tourism.

My family's been coming here for years, and we love it. It's not perfect, however. They'll close the pools with no good warning (got my boys hopes up for nothing one time) and the layout of the property is a bit wonky. But we love it.

Despite it's price, the rooms are great! We had a large room, although it was more like a condo. Overall the experience was great, as it isn't too far from the amusement park.

I've stayed in our room at Sabal Palms for about 1 night now, and the room is very, very nice. We got a little lost on our way in and couldn't find the parking lot for Sabal Palms, but luckily the service was great and helped us on our way. It is very secluded and high quality. Just a little hard to find initially when you first drive in. Don't park in the parking garage.

This hotel has all sorts of stuff like multiple pools and an indoor arcade. It is very close to fast food and restaurants. It is also very close to the Disney parks. I loved it there!

It's a great place to stay for am extended period of time. The rooms are spacious. The people are OK, not the friendliest. The place is not very soundproof, we could hear every step happening above us, or there is an elephant up there. The electrician that wired our room wired most the wall outlets in the master and one on the wall in the bathroom, and the one on the opposite wall stairs that has a night light all to a single wall switch. So you can't charge your phone on the nightstands if you turn the lights off, and the nightlight on the stairs won't work.

This place is massive, huge, you get access to the whole resort, not just your area. Its like 4 resorts. Staff are great. Lots of children in the world center, so if you don't like screaming kids. Don't visit that area. Everyone there to have fun. Its great. Many restaurants, a way over priced buffet.

Location was great and the room looked amazing. Only negative was that the floor need to be mopped and the counter tops cleaned. Definitely will go back here!

Newly updated rooms, a great view of the golf course, the pool and amenities that the hotel offers kept us busy and having fun with the kids. The staff connected with us and made it feel as if we were part of the family. They have a shuttle that takes you around the Marriott complex. This made it easy visit the other pools and restaurants. A great location near the parks and atractions in Orlando. We look forward to returning.....

Very nice. Modern. Clean. Quiet. Large, recently {within the last few years) renovated villas. Note that this is NOT a hotel. The Sabal Palms is part of the "Marriott Vacation Club" {timeshare). The buildings are two stories tall {no elevator, so your villa is either ground level or one flight of stairs up. All of the units are 2-bedroom. The master suite is huge and has a great walk-in shower. The second bedroom is small and will only sleep 3 maximum (2 comfortably). There is a full-size fold-out bed in the living room sofa. Every villa has a view of the golf course

Amenities at the Sabal Palms are minimal. The pool is basic. Nice & clean. But just your basic pool. The clubhouse & workout room are both nice, but there is nothing "wow" about them.

The real amenities are at the adjacent World Center Marriott {hotel}. Sabal Palms guests have access to all of the hotel amenities. Two large outdoor pools {the main pool is allegedly the biggest hotel pool in Florida}. An indoor pool. Water slides. Kiddie water park. All are an easy walk from the Sabal Palms. The hotel's (first class} workout room, tennis courts and daycare center are as close to the Sabal Palms as they are to the hotel. There is also a golf course on the property.

The Sabal Palms is the smallest & quietest of the three timeshares on the property. The other two (Royal Palms & Imperial Palms} are much further from the hotel amenities. And, they are situated near State Road 536, so road noise could be an issue in some units. Many more units at the Royal & Imperial Palms means more people and more activity - which could be good or bad. BUT, I've been told that there are 3 bedroom units available at the Royal & Imperial Palms.

Couldn't have found a better place to stay with our family. Truely a beautiful location and lots to do just on their property. Easy access to pools and the staff are all super friendly. Orlando is an expensive place, and staying here isn't cheap, but it's very much worth checking out. Access to Disney parks is so easy from here, we spent 5 days exploring the various parks and coming home to this was a nice break from the chaos of the parks. Wasn't expecting the full kitchen, so we were able to save some cash by making our own breakfast. The BBQ was nice to have a home cooked meal together while away on vacation. We will be back.

The rooms are very nice and, conviently placed next to the world center. There are many entertaining activities, such as chocolate tastings, and a plethora of fitness classes. The only issue one might run into is there is no elevator.

The freshly remodeled condo/villa was very clean and well stocked. There was even a blender in the kitchen. The second bedroom was on the smaller side, rather than the complete lockoff unit I had at other Marriott properties, but still had eveything I needed. The property offerred a full schedule of activities during my stay and also offered access to the World Center's pools. Great location just outside the entrance to Disney. The one downer for me is that the villas are located behind the World Center, requiring an ugly drive through parking areas and over some speed bumps that are far too large. Coming and going was my least favorite part and since my family was visiting theme parks daily, we saw those speed bumps pretty often.

Very pretty landscape with gorgeous, newly renovated units. In our 2br unit, the master bedroom has a huge shower with side jets and a bench. The second bedroom has it's own standard bathroom. Lots of space overall and a nice screened-in balcony. Easily accessible parking (for early December). Just an FYI, we didn't use the pool because of the temperature outside.

The place can be a little tricky to find and get to because it's in the back of a major complex of hotels, but the signs are very clear and help you navigate. All the staff are incredibly friendly and always wanting to make sure you're happy with everything. The rooms were recently renovated and are absolutely stunning. All utensils and everything you'll need is provided, the kitchen is very nice and the bathrooms are great too. Also a nice bonus being able to go to the World Center as well!

This old-school MVC property is a blast from the past with its floor plan layouts. Halfway through a significant refurb, it's a great choice for MVC folks who want to experience a smaller property that's close to Disney World. Dining options are limited to the other Marriott properties nearby but I still love this property.

I have been a reoccurring guest for more than 10 years, but this year is by far the best. Since the recent renovations the rooms look modern and beautiful, the beds and pull out couch are like sleeping on a cloud and the grounds are as beautiful as ever. Forever my Disney getaway spot!

The rooms are generous and the setting is quiet. The facility itself has a nice quiet pool and gym but little else amenity wise. However, a short stroll down the path brings you to full access to all of the facilities at the Marriott World Center. Last light show, water slides, pool bar and grill and all of their kids activities.

The two bedroom suite at Sabal Palms is one of the nicest layouts that we've seen at a Marriott Vacation Club Resort. Very quiet and very spacious with a great master bathroom. The downside is that the pool is very small with no bar and grill and no kids' area. You can walk to the World Center and use their pool, which has some big water slides and a play area for smaller kids, but it's just not as nice as the JW Marriott in Orlando. Overall, though, a very nice unit and a pleasant stay.

I am very bias, I will only stay at Marriott properties and I have mostly stayed at them all in Orlando area. Two months prior we stayed at World Towers and it was huge, busy, and like staying at a Las Vegas hotel hotel so much going on every where. Since we had family meeting us to celebrate my daughter's 1st birthday, I found the sabal palms to be the only vacation villa with 3 bedroom. We got to use all the amenities of the World without the convention distraction. I'm looking forward to the next time my family gather in orlando, we have already agreed we are staying here.
