Environment

Property's Green Action

To protect the environment, we are reducing water use, energy consumption and recycling waste with the goal of limiting our carbon footprint. We integrate sustainable development into our operating procedures, contribute to preserve local communities and the natural ecosystems in which our hotel is located. With all sister hotels, we have already planted three million trees as part of a global reforestation project supported by the United Nations. The last but not the least, we engage our partners and suppliers in their sustainable development strategy and integrate them into the responsibility chain.

Certifications

Planet 21 Bronze

AccorHotels created an action plan that offered actions listed below to promote sustainable development, tailored to the hotel context. Those initiatives are structured into 4 pillars & 2 specific issues:

- PEOPLE: Raise employees’ awareness of the eco-friendly practice
- CUSTOMERS: engage guests in a sustainable experience
- COMMUNITIES: work hand-in-hand with local communities for a positive impact
- PARTNERS: co-innovate to open up new horizons

- BUILDING: Move towards carbon-neutral buildings
- FOOD: Strive for zero food waste & healthy sustainable food

Then, to go even further, each hotel selects other actions from over 60 additional initiatives. This flexible system enables it to build its own program in line with AccorHotels’ commitments, but also reflects the hotel’s local characteristics:
- Its prior level of progress on sustainable development
- Its priority areas for improvement
- The environment and local issues

A weighting mechanism establishes the action achievement level with a score that places the hotel around the higher levels. Each level marks the progress hotels are making in implementing the Planet 21 program.

All in all good quality, except the view was to a wall of another building.

Ok Hotel across the road from the train station. Quiet rooms for all that (at least the ones facing away from the station). Trying to capture the style of 1930s apparently. Unfortunately this also continues in the bathrooms in which you'll find separate cold/warm tabs. Parking is pretty crazys in Lux center. Parking garage directly underneath the Hotel is available, but be prepared to pay 40 EUR for 48 hours. And you'll have to feed the ticket into the machine anyway, even if you had it "validated" at the reception. Other than that, no major complaints...

Stayed there for 2 weeks while on business trip. The hotel is overall very clean but little outdated. Staff was very nice and always willing to help. Hotel is basically on main station very close to the old city. Free overnight parking close by was a very nice bonus.

Carpet is awful, parking is awful, but the staff are super friendly. Rooms are nothing like the main photos. Not very luxurious for the price but located in a pretty good area. WiFi is bad but usable. They allow pets for 30€ a night. An extra bed for a third person is 80€ a night. They speak English pretty good. Oh an good luck figuring out the light switches! Lol.

Nice hotel, but nothing exceptional. I have rarely been in a 4 star hotel and this does not impress me at all. It looks a bit old. Anyway, beds are comfy, the room is big, and the bathroom good. No kettle for the tea in the room.

Okay hotel. The room was a bit over the top and the shower was not functioning very well. The breakfast buffet was very good and the dining room was very nice.

Stayed here for 2 nights during summer vacation with husband and our 1 yo daughter. We got huge room with huge bed. Few parts of the room are a bit outdated but it's still nice and clean. Staffs are friendly as well. Surprisingly we met a staff from Indonesia who willingly waited for us to check-in just because we're also from Indonesia (although we live in France). How nice!

Nice hotel but expensive. Lovely sized room but needs updating and some TLC. We parked on the road as the hotel car park was 20 euros a night. Ok for a stop over.

Lovely hotel. Helpful staff. Fairly pricey. Internet is shocking - don't expect to be able to upload all that much.

Room 201. Big room but tired looking decorations. Plugs on one side of the bed only but very comfortable nights sleep. Excellent location for the station.

A pleasant place for a drink. Quite spacious. Friendly service. Prices reasonable. I think they have happy hour in cocktails, but, I haven't tried any yet.

Mixed experience. Hotel's only advantage is it's location. Besides location:

- the interior is dated, rooms look so '80 :/
- restaurant staff does not show any care to customers - one needs to wait forever for a waiter who asked about dishes points out to other part of the room and says: there! same goes for breakfast - chefs are in trouble to fry an egg ... :/ No coffee is available or offered.

Stayed 2 nights on business trips. Pluses. Reception excellent, fast check in and efficient. Breakfast not bad. .. not much effort into it. Room was quite spacious. I was in 206, 2nd floor facing the square and it meant 2 sleepless nights for the noise and lights. Ambulances, bus, shouting people. .. anything went. Room was a little cold. I tried turning the heat all the way up but still chilly. Also, 3 days 2 nights with the same towels is disconcerting. Not sure I would recommend..

Nice hotel. Clean rooms, not to small. Bed's are very stiff. Breakfast is good and in the weekend until 11.00h. Rooms at the street side are BAD! Very noisy and I couldn't sleep. We changed rooms to the back side!
