First the negative: Be advised that you have to park across the street at the Hard Rock Cafe’s parking lot and pay $40 per night per each car. This is not typical of my experience staying in hotels in Boston.

The hotel is in a great location right by Quincy Market so it’s a convenient hotel for tourists. It’s very clean, modern, and feels comfortable and luxurious. If you’re not bothered by the parking, it’s probably the best value in the neighborhood. If you’re more interested in convenience, other hotels in the Back Bay neighborhood are a bit more central to things for the same price with more convenient, cheaper parking.

Beware when using the online cancellation. Using this does not initiate a refund. You must call the hotel so they can tickle their keyboard to start a refund. I cancelled on 20 Jun 2020, as of 1 Jul 2020 no refund. I called and the desk clerk told me that no refund was initiated. He then said to add an additional 4 - 5 weeks to my waiting time for the hotel to issue a refund. All this time my card is being charged for interest or late payment fees. I find it unconscionable that the hotel would take 5 - 8 weeks to issue a refund for a cancellation. My only advise if beware and be informed.

I would give this place 5 stars except for a hidden $25 fee added onto the price from online for services provided. The rooms are nice and relatively comfortable. Kind of loud but that's from Boston noise and nothing this place has control over. There is no noise between rooms, that we noticed. The staff was very courteous and always on hand to take care of anything you needed. I'd definitely stay again.

Edit: as the owners state, I'm partially incorrect. At the bottom after the total is "Rates are subject to an additional $25 ... per night", however the total on the checkout page does not reflect that cost. Thus why I missed it.

We came for my husband's birthday. Amazing hotel. Best service. And incredible restaurant. Highly recommend. Perfect location. They surprised him with cake and complimentary upgraded room. Restaurant was high quality food and we had 2 waiters who were exceptional. We got 20% off our bill because we were guests. Overall fantastic experience. Wouldn't have changed a thing.

We stayed here one night on a quick trip. Room was clean, front staff was friendly and helpful. Location was great. Only annoying thing was that housekeeping knocked on our door at 8am and woke us up. Not sure why they would try to come that early!

The staff was very friendly and it was a great location. There was no refrigerator but there was one provided upon request. No access to a microwave at all or laundry facilities so that was a bummer. There is no Lounge but you could sit in the back of the restaurant when it wasn't busy which I did first thing in the morning. The lack of storage in the room was surprising but everything was comfortable if not a little crowded. I was huge and had plenty of room and storage spots.

The Bostonian Boston is in great location, right next to Fanueil Hall on the Freedom Trail and Quincy Market (which is full of shops and food). Compared to other hotels in this area, the price is fairly reasonable. The areas for improvement include towels and toiletries, towels seem a little older and are thin, body wash is a bit drying. That said, there's not much else to complain about! The restaurant attached to the hotel is very good and is open later than many places nearby (the city seems to shut down around 9pm). For our experience in particular, we needed to move rooms due to some maintenance on the A/C system which cost us a bit of time our first night. The maintenance tech was very nice though... The coupled with a lack of additional amenities (such as a poll) is what leads to the rating. Should we need to stay in Boston again, this hotel will remain at the top of my list.

Family wedding at The Bostonian. Cannot say enough about the courtesy and helpfulness of every single staff member we encountered. The hotel itself has a warm vibe, situated in the heart of the historic Faneuil Hall area.

The staff went out of their way to make our anniversary trip special. We were upgraded into a tremendous room with a balcony overlooking Faneuil Hall. Any concerns were addressed promptly. Everyone truly cared about their guests. You can't beat the location.

Gorgeous hotel in a fantastic location. It was quick and easy to access the cities restaurants and bars. Despite the excellent location our son was extremely quiet.

Due to flight delays we arrived 15 min before bar closed. My husband went to get us a drink while I checked in & was told he couldn't be in the bar because he had a dip of smokeless tobacco in his mouth.
We went to our room & had to order ice (no machines for guest use) it took at least 40 minutes. We each had one beer and one whiskey on the rocks. Upon checkout there were 5 things instead of 4 on our bill. The clerk said he fixed it, I said I wanted another receipt showing it and he acted like that was just the silliest thing he had ever heard. Housekeeping lady busted into our room & our kids room next door even though both had Do Not Disturb signs up AND my husband had seen them in the hall & told them we didn't need anything.
The hotel is "nice" but no nicer than a middle of the road chain. Location is the only reason to even consider staying here when there are so many other choices.

The staff at this hotel, for the most part, was courteous and helpful. The room itself was what brought the rating down for me. We were put into a room that our only view out our window was the wall from another building. Very little sunlight was let in during the day so our room was on a constant Darkness. The real issue came at night when loud, thumping, obnoxious music from the building next door played for hours into the early morning. We got very little sleep and I still had an 8-hour drive in front of me the next day, and I was exhausted and unhappy. When I told the staff at the front desk, they simply said it was from the bar next door and they couldn't do anything about it. But they could have offered us a different room that was not butted up next to a loud bar. The hotel is very conveniently located in the midst of so much stuff to do. Sad that we had to have negative experiences at such a nice hotel.

Spent four days here while attending a conference in Boston. Extremely accommodating, gorgeous rooms with comfortable beds, room safes, mini bar and some rooms with fire places and Balconies. Room service we had one-day for breakfast 🍳 and it was very good. If you see my pictures that I have posted, these are from our outdoor balcony looking over the market. Great views and great to relax with some wine and check out the Boston Skyline 🌃. Slightly on the more expensive side but not overly for the service, quality and central location brought to the table.
Parking is a bit ridiculous with fifty dollars a day to park your car. But as I know Manhattan is just as bad. If you’re going to stay in a big city expect it. I give this Hotel 5 stars 🌟 and plain on a return.

The Bostonian is a very nice hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is right in the center of everything and it is in easy access to the T which will take you almost anywhere in Boston. Our room was quiet when the balcony doors were closed, you could also leave them open to hear music from Faneuil Hall across the street, the bed was comfortable and it was well decorated. My only issues were as follows: that we had to have an additional fridge to house our food and beverages because the in room fridge was stocked with beverages and even of you just touched or nudged them you would get charged. The sliding door to the bathroom sometimes slid open with no warning, the toilet flushed so aggressively that you had to close the lid or you would get sprayed, and the water temperature of the shower fluctuated a lot.

I went to the Bostonian for a wedding. The bar was extremely limited, but the bartender made the best drink he could with what he had. The cold cocktail hour food was fine, but the hot appetizers were lacking flavor and cold. Much of the dinner food was also cold, although the lobster bisque had nice flavor. My dinner was steak, mashed sweet potatoes and spinach and I thought it was great. The servers and staff were all very nice and helpful.

The rooms are a little dated, and the facilities too but The Bostonian is wonderfully placed right in the middle of the city. It's a little over-priced for what it is but I guess that convenience comes at a price. The service is very good and the bar staff make for a lively time.

Fantastic location! Excellent amenities! Superb staff! Lost two stars for the one reason you need a room... to sleep! The bed is hard and the pillow selection is either too flat or too thick. So much seems to be invested in the building and the rooms but the mattress could use some attention. Sleep on!

Attended a wedding at the Bostonian. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Balcony was just big enough to fit 2 people standing. Food at the wedding and at breakfast the following morning was delicious and perfectly cooked. Wedding venue had beautiful view of the skyline and faneuil hall Staff was helpful. Location is overlooking fanuiel hall and perfect for downtown Boston, however parking is a challenge.

We were at the Bostonian to view it as a wedding venue. We found it the perfect downtown spot. I was most impressed with the coordinator who showed us around, but the facilities were also excellent. A beautiful space that allowed for a great deal of customization.

We stayed over night in a Superior King room (2nd floor). The price is kind of high considering the rooms are tiny. The view was beautiful. Right in the middle of the city. Also, you're obligated to pay valley parking.

I missed my flight & needed a place to crash for the night. This was the least expensive hotel in the area with a vacancy, and I was upgraded on arrival. What a gem this place is. The service is next to none. The staff are so personable it felt like it was "where everyone knows your name." They will give you the world, all you need to do is ask. The rooms are clean and immense with anything you need at your finger tips in the heart of the city. You can hear the beautiful canter of downtown as it luls you to sleep. Professional is an understatement. I wish this place was my second home. I plan to come back and hopefully with someone to share the experience. 11 out of 10 without hesitation. I wish I had enough time to check out breakfast because I'd probably never leave. You really have to see this place. Incredible. Just Incredible.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked this hotel on there and they had the cheapest rates around...

The location is perfect, near Faneuil Hall and Quincey Market. Price is a bit steep, but you're paying for location. The Bostonian boasts great service, but I suppose my idea of great service is a bit different.

They still have the outdated mini fridges that charge you if you remove any beverage to look at, move slightly or give it a wrong look. You have to order ice to your room, which of course goes with a tip. They don't give you an option for that. So warm drinks, 6.50 mini fridge water, or tipping someone to get ice. Polyester pillows, chipped mirrors, previously used body wash.

I expected a bit more, but I suppose it's price is mostly just for the location. Next time I'll probably stay farther away and use the subway.

Perfect location, large comfortable and clean rooms, polite and quick service. It may have been the time we were there but a little overpriced. Would have liked a larger gym and maybe pool as we had super hot weather. Overall recommend - ask for a room with a view.

Great location, rooms were clean, staff was helpful. Overall we had a good experience. Did not utilize the upcharges (wifi, food, drink).

One complaint: a visitor of ours had their car "parked" by the valet. We returned two hours later from sight-seeing to find her car parked where it was left, her purse rifled through, PANDORA RUNNING ON HER PHONE, and a valet bill for $28!!! Our guest was appalled but wasn't willing to confront the valet about the situation.

The place is fine for a quick stay and the location is prime but if you value customer service, find someplace else!
