Nippon Hotel Hamburg

Hofweg 75, 22085 Hamburg, Germany Access

Nippon Hotel Hamburg

Straight lines light forms and clear colors mark the four story house on Hofweg 75 only a few seconds away from the Lake Aussenalster. The reduction of color and material as well as the renunciation of destracting details are reflected in all areas of the house and open up a view for the
clear and ascetic form of a Japanese atmosphere. Shojis filter the daylight and create a quiete and peaceful ambience. Conference rooms offer space for business dinner as well as private parties and the Japanese restaurant WA-YO is an absolute MUST for lovers of the Japanese cuisine.

AIRP-HAMBURG-FUHLSBU
From Hamburg-Fuhlsbuttel Airport depart the airport heading south on High 447 towards Hamburg. Exit Alsterkrugchaussee turn right on Sierichstrasse Head straight into Herbert Weichmann Strasse and turn right on Fahrhausstras make another right on Hofweg. The hotel address is Hofweg 75.

Honestly I don't think this place deserve more, the room I had (150 euro per night) was a disappointment.
There is the smallest TV ever and a lame small painting on one of the wall.
Expect for the ground of the bed room there is no Japanese feel to it.
There is not even a 24h service at the desk.
Overall I really don't see why i would ever pick this hotel again.

A nice hotel with a good bus connection to the city and the harbor. Friendly personnel and clean and nice rooms.

It's very japanese style of tatami floor. Not everyone likes its smell, But we love it.
Great renovated modern bath room with plenty of space.
Best price for this location

The rooms are great, floored with tatami mats, has the sliding paper style of blocking the sunlight out, giving the room a very relaxing feel, has traditional Japanese bedding (futon) and are of a reasonable size. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is quiet and calm. I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat.

Nice rooms, arrogant and patronizing reception staff.
Had to pay a 40% upcharge because I booked directly with the hotel and not on one of those countless booking portals. When I expressed my confusion I got a lecture on flexible pricing. The whole experience was dominated by artificial friendliness and I did not feel welcome at all. (They gave me the option to cancel my reservation and book the very same room online if I wanna save money.) I think that is what you get when you deal with a family run business.
The Hotel is clean, rooms are renovated and enjoyable 'different' - Japanese style with bast mats (kind of no 'shoes allowed' in the room) and Shōji (fake translucient paper room dividers in front of the windows).
No wellness/sports/recreation facilities, lots of extra services for horrendous prices, no free parking and horrible parking situation in the area, breakfast unreasonable 15 € per person.
