To protect the environment, we are reducing water use, energy consumption and recycling waste with the goal of limiting our carbon footprint. We integrate sustainable development into our operating procedures, contribute to preserve local communities and the natural ecosystems in which our hotel is located. The last but not the least, we engage our partners and suppliers in their sustainable development strategy and integrate them into the responsibility chain.

Certifications

Planet 21 Bronze

AccorHotels created an action plan that offered actions listed below to promote sustainable development, tailored to the hotel context. Those initiatives are structured into 4 pillars & 2 specific issues:

- PEOPLE: Raise employees’ awareness of the eco-friendly practice
- CUSTOMERS: engage guests in a sustainable experience
- COMMUNITIES: work hand-in-hand with local communities for a positive impact
- PARTNERS: co-innovate to open up new horizons

- BUILDING: Move towards carbon-neutral buildings
- FOOD: Strive for zero food waste & healthy sustainable food

Then, to go even further, each hotel selects other actions from over 60 additional initiatives. This flexible system enables it to build its own program in line with AccorHotels’ commitments, but also reflects the hotel’s local characteristics:
- Its prior level of progress on sustainable development
- Its priority areas for improvement
- The environment and local issues

A weighting mechanism establishes the action achievement level with a score that places the hotel around the higher levels. Each level marks the progress hotels are making in implementing the Planet 21 program.

We got there and were given our key, got into the room to find the room was already occupied. Such a breach of security.. we get moved to another room... we find the floors and carpets nor cleaned.. dirty mark like chocolate about the size of a 5 cent piece in the doorway very obvious the floors and carpet Gadd not been washed and vacuumed. They offered to come and clean, but it was getting late 8.30 said we would wait till the next morning.. they came and cleaned and the next fatty we had to move to another room. When we pulled out the sofa bed the sheets had nor been changed..the sheets were all messed up. we had to get new sheets. The bath to step into is very awkward.. very high. People in mid 60's to 70's would find it difficult even though there is a rail. Very disappointed

Nice staff and ground. Pool is really nice. Rooms are on the run down size. Showers have no water pressure. But for a $140.00 per night is still good for the price.

The rooms are very nicely decorated and comfortable, and so is the reception area. But the building where the rooms are is a bit run down. The pools are great, the food at the restaurant is good, and it has a tennis court and a golf course, which looks great (though I'm not a golfer). The gym is closed until further notice, and I'm not sure about the spa... I'm here with the vacation club (Vs regular hotel guest), so I don't get any service, as they offer housekeeping when you stay for 8 days or more, so no fresh towels and no room cleaning in a 7-day stay....

The room is beautiful, the reception area and the restaurants are fine, and the amenities (golf course, pools and tennis court) are very well maintained, but the building were the rooms are look a bit run down. The gym is not available until further notice, and housekeeping is included only for those staying 8 days or more (when staying as part of the vacation club program), so no fresh towels in a 7 day stay.

Our family of 4 have stayed there a few times in the last 4 years for $330 a night. Even though the rooms were a bit dated, it was the location & the free breakfast buffet that kept us coming back. Novotel sold it, so no Easter availability now due to closure... Hoping when they reopen soon it will have a nice makeover... But what will become of the free breakfast?

What a disappointment... our room was so dirty, dated and I would have gone somewhere else but everything was booked out.
The grounds are really magnificent though and the staff very friendly, professional and helpful. Restaurant on site is perfect, delicous food.
Think twice about staying in the rooms, a truck stop would be cleaner than our room.

Really good food and the sevice is grate. There is a good outdoor sitting area to have your drinks. It is worth the money. The accommodation is 4.5 star rated. The best accommodation out there nothing bad to say at all...

Great place to stay. Rooms can be dated as some are privately owned. Grounds and facilities make a stay worthwhile. You'll even meet some Australian wildlife

Vast range of facilities, rooms are a bit dated, good though. Nice food and bar, breakfast was pricey so ended up driving to town. Location is secluded.

Hotel is okay. The room was 3 star at most. The room I was in was dated and could really do with an update think 80s interior. The balcony could have done with a sweep. Facilities seem lacking. Bed not made yet room hoovered(?) and bins emptied. Breakfast had a great complete and wide selection. Great view of ponds with water dragons and waterfowl. Toilets in the reception / breakfast building were so/so. It all needs some TLC. Staff at reception were ever so friendly and accommodating.

This has been a regular stop for us just north of Coffs Harbour. We have always enjoyed our stays and its excellent restaurant. Hence it was sad to hear it will close as a Novotel in January 2018. A great pity as we particularly enjoyed our Accor benefits there as well. Its imminent closure explains perhaps why it is a little worn. It does rate five stars on their staff attention and some have been there for many years. Its location with gardens, lagoon, golf, two swimming pools and a rain forest short walk to a great beach is quite special. I hope whoever takes it over provides a similar experience.

The Novotel Coffs Harbour offers a comfortable stay. It is relatively clean, though there was some cobwebs in the kitchenette and a spider in the bathroom, suggesting my room had been empty for a short while. The rooms are a maze and we were among a handful of fellow co-travellers who seemed to have trouble finding our rooms. The decor is straight out of the 1970s, which will have retro appeal to some patrons. The trees surrounding the hotel are nice. They have a pool and kids' playground, neither of which I used but seemed highly enjoyed by others. Happy to stay again.

The room and view was nice but the outside needs a do over and parking could be better. The spa and sauna need a real make over as it is worn and falling apart the sauna needs to have benches removed abd the whole room a good sand and new benches fitted and for the vent to be installed in the correct position and for the time to work for an hour min.

We only ate breakfast here, but it was very good. Facilities look nice and the grounds are reasonably attractive except for the water areas that need some attention. Loads of parking.

Not terrible but also not great. Room was clean. But trying to find the room was challenging as the place is like a maze. Very dated place. And it didn't feel overly safe. I won't stay here again unless desperate.

This is a beautiful hotel resort, the grounds are very pretty located right on the beach. Views of the mountains and amazing walking tracks over the headlands. The facilities are top class although the buildings need some tender love and care as they seem a little dated. This is a perfect place to stay with endless sights and attractions to visit. Coffs Harbour is truly spectacular!

We called at night and reserved a room for the night, arriving later. We were upgraded to a beautiful big 1 bedroom suite with spa bath, big kitchen, balcony and own laundry at the same rate as a single room! Was a lovely stay, we booked again for another month this year for 2 nights so we can experience more of the hotel. We also use the Tesla destination charger overnight

I've stayed here twice so far first time around the bed was amazing, second time around just recently the bed wasn't the best but still ok. Rooms always nice and clean, parking can be a pain but the staff are amazing and still will continue to stop in on my travels down south.

Best par 3 golf course within at least 200km, not sure maybe farther. Great conditions on the greens and fairways. The pride the green keeping and resort staff put in week after week is noticeable and always appreciated by our group of golfers.

4

Showbag of a place, nice looking on the outside - full of S**t on the inside. From roller doors to the verandah that don't open to rooms that are stuck in 70's with wood panneling, tatty furniture, scuffed everything, vinyl flooring that looks like book covering contact - and lifting, strange stains on the bedding, worn out sheets, not worth the $$ for the stay. Novotel Coffs Harbour used to be a good stay but now it is in need of a serious face lift. Tired old and waiting for some love. Spend your holiday/accomodation dollars somewhere else.

Comfy hotel in good location. Poor phone reception in some of the locations. Also hard to find rooms from the carpark, especially in the dark. Fantastic breakfast selection and helpful staff. Thank you. Wished I could have stayed longer to enjoy some of the facilities.

Very friendly and welcoming upon arrival. Went out of their way to make sure our stay at the resort as well as our time in Coffs were as good as they could be.

Room decor was a little dated but still very comfortable and spacious.

Amenities were amazing with so much for the kids to do.

Overall great place to stay.

Enjoyed our stay which was prepaid and booked ahead through another Accor and on line. They rang this hotel to be told 'No rooms'. We paid and had a room on arrival and was assured that there would be no extra charges on the credit card swipe. The day after two (2) amounts of $50 were taken out. I contacted the hotel and no real apology. I am disappointed at these poor business practices of one place when I have used better Accor facilities that were no overpriced for school holiday times.

Great place to stay with kids and friends. We had a fabulous time and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. Rooms were great, only downside was pillows were very flat and uncomfortable I'll bring my own next time, and there definitely will be a next time. Look forward to coming again, thank you.

Room was clean and tidy but the drapes had holes in them and being on the ground floor with people walking past gives you no privacy.
the entry door hinges needed oiling, as there are 2 apartments one entry It's great for a good night
sleep. Not.
The 9 hole golf course is in good condition and fun to play.
The restaurant is five star, the food and service was excellent .
Would I stay there again, yes

Stayed for a week. Staff very friendly and grounds people great. I had a 83 y/o uncle staying
there with me and staff went beyond the call of duty and helped me out with him. That's what
makes a top rated resort. Grounds are excellent and same with the restaurant. Thank you, had a great time.
