Great, late Sunday afternoon lunch at Fire and Ice Hotel. Portions are big so go hungry! Their gourmet milkshakes are a must try. Service was super friendly. Kitchen is open until 15:30 on Sundays for lunch. Entertainer app welcome.

Room are too small. WiFi not user friendly not ideal for a perso nwho is on business trip for a week stay or so.Rooms and Breakfast are average compared to other Protea Fire and Ice hotels. Parking inside hotel paid in advance for duration of stay. It is not the same old same Protea Fire and Ice. Overall disappointed.

The service was good, food was nice, a small percentage i'll have to take away because we had to wait for a service for almost 30 minutes, so that would take away atleast 3% other than that i am happy....

This is my favorite hotel in cape Town. Affordable, well trained staff who are always looking out for your comfort. Rooms are great, comfy and cozy. The breakfast is magical, best part of the day.Has extraordinary views of the city and the mountain.Located in a central place easy access sarounded by cool drinking places and restaurants and also shopping malss and stores. I really enjoyed fire and ice ❄. It's the best trust me.

The protea hotel Fire and Ice hotel is something special. Their decor inside is very well done and the rooms are cosy and modern. The vibe of the hotel is great and funky, different from your typical protea hotel, there is a seriously great vibe at the fire and ice. They also host functions and birthday parties. I had my 21st birthday here and was thoroughly impressed the whole night!

Restaurant- Good food, awesome milkshakes and a nice contemporary environment with friendly staff. Has a decent amount of parking space around the building too. Perhaps just priced slightly higher than typical restaurants, but it is a hotel primarily after all.

It is actually Afro gem. An amazing place. A gem. A whole new world of discovery. All the stones and crystals you can think of on display and for sale aswell as gold and silver jewellery. They offer tours to groups and i must say the most friendly people ive met in a long time. A must visit when you are in South Africa.

I have had the privilege of enjoying Christmas lunch at your establishment today. What a truly pleasurable experience. The most exquisite food on offer and ever friendly and efficient dining room personnel in attendance. Congratulations to management, the chef and kitchen personnel, and the floor personnel. You have set bar very high. Please convey my appreciation to all who made this such a memorable experience.

Location is really good. Walking distance to all the great night spots. Rooms are small though and overpriced for what you get. Bar is really good. Their milkshakes are very good! Carrot cake and rooibos!

World Class hotel with clean rooms and state of the art security to the rooms. The kitchen offers a variety of healthy food and drinks.

Great views in the 2nd Floor rooms facing the City side. The rooms are well lit and sunshine can be enjoyed from the comfort of the living room. The sunshine part can be a bad thing for the curtains , one or two could look tattered or too old but it’s not a big deal. The class of everything else will make one surely love this place.

A few hundred meters away from Long Street hehehe . Ask around about Long Street surely it’s a very looooooong story.

Ciao

Visited South Africa and decided to stay here while we were in Cape Town. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with friendliness and offered a drink while we completed in the check in process. Nolene at the front desk was wonderful! She got us our room (with a really nice view of the city) and suggested that we go to Long Street. We had an amazing night on Long Street all thanks to her. Overall the staff was attentive and provided all types of suggestions. We didn’t really stay in the room but I will say our room was extremely nice and clean. Also their breakfast is unmatched. Thanks guys!

Bordering on boutique hotel. Dark and bright designs compliment each other. Not huge. Good views. Caters more for foreigners than South Africans which is pretty much the norm in Cape Town.

Visited the place to watch a comedy show in their event facility and this review is limited to my experience in the bar, reception and conference facilities. These spaces I found then to quite clean with nice ambience music. I found the conference place pretty cold though but it may have been just me. Staff clean and I like the idea of the informal golf t-shirt and jeans attire, adds to a relaxed vibe...perhaps too relaxed especially in the bar area.

Was very nice, although if staff could not move around furniture at 6 am that'd be great. Also having a baby next door wasn't great. People were friendly and the food was good. The place is very fancy and I had a nice view of table mountain.

Do you love Milk Shakes? Then this place is for you. Go to the bar on the ground floor. Ask for the milk shakes menu. They have an alcohol-laced list too. Order whatever you want, it might take a while to decide because there are plenty to choose from. I highly recommend the Lindt-o-liscious. Half portion is enough. Full portion is to share. I guarantee, you will crave these for many days to come. There used to be a dj some nights but that has since stopped. Disappointing because the vibe was great and the music good. Enjoy, enjoy. Oh and parking a nightmare, be patient friends.

Weve been wanting to go try their milkshakes for some time and finally went last night. The experience did not disappoint! Our waiter was very friendly and entertaining and we enjoyed our milkshakes over a few rounds of backgammon in the lounge.

Doesnt stand out from any other hotel. I had lambshank and it was truly tasty and soft. Fell off the bone. The steak my friend ordered was suppose to be medium and it came well done. The hotel itself is very chic and clean. The bar area is beautiful and they provide board games. Their milkshakes are amazing!

What a great stay. Avril the lady that received us at reception was so friend and helpful. Could not ask for anyone better at a front desk. Helpful and explained everything precisely. Leaving you with no question. The hotel have a great atmosphere and everything is of great taste. You don't need to leave the hotel for anything. Heated pool on the second floor and a gym on the third floor. Great bar, great restaurant. Great room. Would definitely recommend it to anyone else.

500mb data free on arrival, no sauna or massage, that's next door. Gym is in, & restaurants & bars. Not family 👪 friendly. Modern plain surfaces & glass architecture, not historical. Conveniently close to all of Cape Town.

I've never stayed overnight but seen almost all of their rooms, I love all of the different themes and how out there some of them are, even the lifts! Delicious milkshakes, great food (try their burgers) and a really cool, relaxed atmosphere at the bar. You can enjoy a quiet drink, get some work done, play a game of chess (built into the long glass table) and try out their huge variety of desserts.

I thought the hotel was ultra modern and swanky, very plush. I did not like the bartender though, seemed to have a serious attitude for no apparent reason. Standard rooms are very tiny, super cool shower enclosure in the middle of the room. You read that right.

Ridiculous milkshakes... Try the Kahlúa one. Arrive with an empty stomach and low blood sugar - they're oversized! Typical hotel bar interior is not a bad thing and the Café del Mar in the background adds a touch of extra class.

I recently stayed at the Protea Hotel Fire & Ice Cape Town and had a lovely experience. The entire staff was very friendly and attentive to my questions and requests. I especially enjoyed their world famous milk shakes at the bar. I must say I've never had one as good as those they made and the selection was out of this world. I hope to return to Cape Town again some day and will not hesitate to stay at this
hotel.

Perfect location, great breakfast. Would highly recommend the Executive Suites. The hotel rooms are perfect for conferencing facilities and accommodation. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Oh yes, and don't leave without trying a milkshake...well worth it! Just get the lift serviced, please. Hotel rooms currently under renovation, so remember to ask how far the renovations are and if you could have a room away from the construction area.

The milkshake I had was divine. No doubt...R45.00
The burger sliders...each one missed the boat.
the fish one was nice....needed a tangy mayo type dressing, lettuce, tomato
The lamb and the boerewors tasted the same....off, took one bite.
No one asked me why I hadn't eaten my food...for me...fAIL
the bar looks awesome! The staff are nice and friendly. Decor is very nice and quirky
the smoking room has coffins in. Outside is nice but no smoking.
