My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at your hotel. I would definitely suggest to my friends to stay here. Management and staff was very polite and helpful.

Location is good.
Hotel itself starts getting tired and looking outdated.
Staff was not wearing face masks, there was a plastic shield but it didn’t go over the whole counter. Guests were not asked to wear a mask even at check in process. I know it’s a Pence state, but common Indiana.

Avery made me feel so welcome. It’s hard traveling for weeks at a time, but not when Avery is working. Debbie treated us like royalty. Jessica made sure my dogs were safe and taken care of until my training was over.

Great choice for being a con attendee. 15 minute walk from the Con Center. There's some nice rooms for late night playing board games in the lower levels. The canal looks pretty, we can see it from our room, but haven't had a chance to walk it yet. No hot tub (but it looks like there is a spot where it could go in the pool?) which is the only negative.

The Residence Inn in downtown Indianapolis is perfectly located. It is sitting right on the canal, so a short walk from the convention center, so it is close without being too close. I'd happily stay again in the future when I'm in town! The staff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast isn't five stars, but it is more than adequate for a free breakfast!

I would say this hotel is just average. Quite expensive for what you get though. We used our Marriott points to book and it cost more than to stay at a Marriott hotel at Disney so I guess that's saying something. The amazing thing about this hotel is that it is right on the canal, which is gorgeous. I would stay here again for that reason alone. It is also only a few minute walk to downtown where everything is. A few things that annoyed us were 1) the breakfast is horrible, unless you want cereal or a waffle 2) they do offer an evening snack Monday through Wednesday with food and either pop or wine/beer, but the food seemed just prepackaged, dump in a bowl and microwave 3) it is a little outdated, the photos of the rooms online don't really look like our actual room. It was okay and nothing that I would look at disgust in, but we just stayed in a nicer Marriott so I'm comparing. 4) the housekeeping staff didnt clean our room, only made our bed, which was very annoying.

Overall, I would stay here again just for the location but I would look for other, more affordable hotels first.

Staff very nice! Good location on canal. However, room clean but definitely needs some updating and repairs with bare spots and stains on carpet.

After reserving two suites online, we called to confirm 2 days before arrival. Good thing we did because the reservation number somehow had a different guest name. Once we arrived, we were told one of the rooms had flooded. They ended up spreading my large family out across the hotel in 3 rooms.

Nice location. However we were not informed about the room that we had reserved not being available due to flooding until we arrived to check in. We were accommodated but I believe that we should have been made aware of that beforehand.

Had a room with no air, was moved to another room with poor air. Hotel had a funk to it, and the pool was freezing cold, not worth the time. Rooms were a little more modern in some manner but lacked maintenance for certain. If it wasn't for rates and convenience with kids, i would not stay here again

Was with my employer and everyone had issues with their room or amenities. To name the most glaring: parking lot gate did not dispense tickets, at least while we were there. Late check-in as room was "not ready." Breakfast was either overcooked or under cooked. Had no ironing board/iron in room - when requested was only given an iron and told "we don't have any extra ironing boards." In general just poorly managed for a hotel right across from city hall.

The hotel was satisfactory. Onsite staff was pleasant enough but they fall short on follow-up. Requested an electronic receipt over a week ago and never received it. Guest services phone number rings with no answer... Follow up customer care is substandard.

Our stay was entirely satisfactory, no more no less. I felt a bit nickel and dimed. First there is the $25/night parking which felt expensive for a dedicated lot that's on the fringes of downtown. Then, there are no kids stations on the satellite TV but you can conveniently pay $3.00 for a 30 min. episode of a show from the missing Disney channel. The staff were quite friendly and the breakfast plentiful and good quality.

Needs alot of updating!! We stayed in a one bedroom with 2 small kids and 2 adults worked great beds were very uncomfortable and Bathroom was very small. Pool was disappointing, as it was cold and tile floor was very slippery. Breakfast was just ok, but had something for everyone. Staff was very helpful! Although a walk on the canal walk was nice, I think we'd try a different hotel and make a trip to the canal Walk next time

Stayed here for one night and our experience was wonderful. The rooms are so clean, the bathroom is big and super clean!, and they have amazing temperature control in the room. We loved everything about it. Plus parking is FREE! Also staff was very nice.

Zury treated us like family during the most difficult time of our lives. Her warmth and kindness were so touching, she truly made us feel at home here. Additionally, the property was clean, well maintained and in a beautiful location with all necessary amenities. I would recommend this location (and as a result of our experience here the Marriott brand) to all my family friends and colleagues. Thank you!!

Very nice room with kitchenette and right next to the canal. Due to the winter canal was frozen but it must be gorgeous during any other time of the year. Staff very helpful too. Would definitely stay again.

The Residence Inn on the Canal was a nice place to stay overnight. The front desk staff were courteous and professional. They would later accommodate us with their personal deck of cards so we could play Euchre in our room. Speaking of the rooms, we stayed in a two bedroom suite. It was clean and relatively up to date sans the cabinetry but no one will really care about that sort of thing. There were some basic dishes as is expected at "a Residence". Beds were comfortable and the bathrooms clean. About the only potential turn off to this place is it's distance away from events and parking can be sparce as it shares a lot with the Courtyard. All in all a great place to stay.

Great hotel, but the beds are too soft. Ask the Hilton who they use for their firm mattresses. This would improve my ratings. I only come back because of my points.

We stayed for 1 night while waiting for my son to go into surgery. The room was clean and didn't have any noticeable issues. It had a free coffee and tea area and hot chocolate too. Parking and room access was easy to navigate. I would stay here again.

I absolutely enjoyed my lodging at the Residence inn located in downtown Indianapolis. The reason being is because of the location and admins. They are located right off the Canal with a beautiful view, there are also many shops and restaurants nearby within walking distance. The service is also impeccable. The staff is great and the breakfast menu is absolutely tasteful. Thank you all for having me!

After checking in, we were notified that the pool was being serviced and currently closed. We were told that we could go next door to the Courtyard Marriott. So we went up to our rooms and got changed. We then called the courtyard to find out how late the pool was open. We were notified that the pool was being serviced and it was closed. We had very disappointed kids. Arrived to the room and started unpacking. Our children found a daily pill planner in one of the drawers with medications in the Box. Then we started taking the sofa apart for our children and found dog hairs all over the sofa. We pulled the bedding down and had four pillowcases but no fitted sheet, only one extra pillow. I called to request more towels, a fitted sheet, and several pillows. A gentleman arrived to the room with towels and washcloths but no fitted sheet or pillows. He told us the hotel was completely out of pillows. We asked gentlemen if the hotel was at Max occupancy. He said no so we asked him to get pillows from another room. The gentleman came back with four more pillow cases no fitted sheet and three pillows which one of them was ripped open and it looked like somebody had stuff it full of cheap animal stuffing. Terrible service!

I have stayed in this hotel for long stays, it was during 2011 to 2013 .. multiple long stays . Why am I writing the review so late, yeah .. I missing the place and wonderful staff. it is a such wonderful support team they have. They make sure that their guest is pampered. Any issues / queries you take it to them , it is immediately addressed.

My stay at Residence Inn went really great. My boy friend and myself only stayed one night, however it was fairly clean with the exception of a few carpet stains. The staff was absolutely wonderful and extremely friendly and helpful with directions in the city. My favorite part about our stay was being right on the canal and having an amazing view right outside the window! I definitely recommend this hotel as it's clean, affordable and has a great staff.

Location is good. Rooms are OK, but could be a bit cleaner, especially in kitchen area. Pool was cold and small. Breakfast was good and a great unexpected happy hour with free food and drinks. Parking is reasonable and being on the canal is great from walking and exploring.

If you want your stay in Indianapolis to be one to remember, you need to make sure it's complete by staying at the Residence Inn. Located right in the canal and within walking distance of downtown is a real plus. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. The staff is incredible, both professional and friendly.

Nice place. Booked a 1 bedroom suite, and upon check in, they upgraded us to a 2 bedroom suite, which was great because we could put our 1 yr old son's pack n play in the 2nd room. Front desk was very helpful with recommendations for food and places to visit.

7

Beautiful location. The front desk associates are very friendly and helpful, and they know the area really well. The room was clean and even though the hotel was almost full, noise was never an issue. There is a beautiful patio overlooking the canal and below that you can walk right out onto the canal. The room was clean, but some furniture was wobbly/cheap. This hotel does not have two double bed rooms, forcing you to get two rooms - they seem to think a pull out couch is the same as a bed, but if you've ever slept on one, it obviously is not the same! Overall, great experience!

My family stayed here to visit me while in Indianapolis. The staff were friendly and rooms were nice enough. However the pool area is incredibly small and with slippery floors. There is also too much chlorine which caused my eyes to actually burn while in the pool area. However it is nice because it is by the canal which is beautiful.

Queen size beds and openable couch. Free Breakfast, newspapers, coffee, 5:30 pm social hour with some foods and drinks offered. It is directly on the Canal, can step out get a nice walk around the canal to the Zoo, botanical garden, and White river. Great location.

8

Conveniently located and well-staffed, I enjoyed my stay here. My main feedback would be that I wish they had more amenities, like somewhere to grab a bite to eat. When it's pouring rain, going out to dinner is not appealing. I later discovered Courtyard right across the lot has a Starbucks-- minimal exposure! The staff here was very nice and gave me some great recommendations!

I also had some problems with my bill and they said they would send me one complete receipt for my expense report, but they only sent part of it. I'm still waiting on customer service to get back to me....

Had a recent stay and my entire family enjoyed themselves. The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean. The furniture was comfortable. There was a nice variety to choose from the breakfast buffet. Although it was kind of chilly in the dining area. The pool area was clean, but the water could have been a little warmer. The chlorine was very strong too. My eyes burned. Another guest had to prop the door open because the fumes were too strong for him as well. But overall, it was nice. We hope to visit again.

OMGGGGG!!! I had a ladies night out on 10/22/16 and boy did we have fun. The staff was amazing the food was great and the pool table on the bottom floor was an added plus. The only issue we had was the elevator close to the desk wasnt working so we had to walk all the way down the hall and of course my room was the opposite way once we got off. Loved the easy access to the canal and it was a nice breeze. I will be back 3/11/17 to have another ladies night.

Good rooms with friendly staff. Location is very convenient. They have good and complimentary activities for guests every evening from 6:00PM to 7:30 PM which gives an opportunity to relax after busy day at work. Parking charges are high - paid 23 $ for overnight parking but guess that must be standard charge in downtown area.

Overall very good experience.

We really love this hotel and have stayed many times because of great location in downtown Indianapolis, right on the canal. This hotel offers an awesome continental breakfast, spacious rooms great for families, and a pool with a hot tub. The staff was very friendly and met the needs of our young family happily. My only negative feedback would be that the pool area didn't seem very clean. The pool looked like it had been a long time since being cleaned and the floor of the pool area was a little gross. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and look forward to going back soon.

We had a wonderful time at the Residence Inn on the Canal! We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite, with canal view, for a girls night / sleepover for my daughters birthday. Very comfortable, very clean and a great view. Nicole was beyond accomdating with my early check-in as well as late check-out. She called to let me know when my room was ready and checked me in over the phone. Emily was super nice when she provided our keys. We are locals and often stay downtown so i can say with confidence this hotel is in the top 3 for price, location, service and amenities. We will definitely be returning!

Stayed in a suite, where they have a FULL kitchen, complete with stove burners (electric) a coffee maker, a fridge/freezer, dishwasher... seriously, the works. The sofa sectional was even a pullout, so the room could have accommodated over 10 people if needed (not that my friends and I did that or anything...). I love that they changed the menu on the continental breakfast slightly every day, so if you got sick of egg muffin sandwiches, you might get biscuits and gravy the next day! Also free coffee in the lobby at all times, with to-go cups and several types of creamer/sugar, to keep you going during busy trips. The view from the dining room was great, overlooking the beautiful Indianapolis Canal (or whatever it's called). Overall a great place to stay.

Hotel staff was axcommodating. However, we encountered 2 issues. 1 we requested a 1 bedroom on the canal but upon check in were given a studio not facing canal. Just got back from a wonderful stay at the Residence Inn on the Canal! My husband and I eloped on the bridge just outside of the hotel. Every staff member treated us as special guests and went above and beyond for us. We were given a discounted, upgraded room, early check-in, free parking, and free snacks. They even waived the parking fee for our photographer. It was the perfect location, the room was very nice and smelled great, and we will for sure plan to go back for our first anniversary! Thank you for all of your help in making our day amazing and unforgettable!
