Rooms spacious and clean, has a high quality bar/ restaurant and friendly helpful staff definitely worth the stay.

We had two nights the room was very clean and tidy, shower was great and the location very good. But my husband travels a lot and has stayed in lots of hotels and he said it’s the worst sleep he has ever had and I have to say the same, the bed is so hard so sorry would not stay again

Breakfast order took a while but was lovely in the end. Great tidy professional accom.

Parking lot isn’t nearly big enough to accommodate everyone but you’re able to park on the streets around without much trouble. Large rooms and having Tesla destination chargers is what makes this 5 stars instead of 4 stars. Well done on that!

Room was clean and tidy, wifi was fast, TV was large and has a clearer signal than other hotels I have stayed at. Bonus points for being well connected to public transport.

Nice hotel in walking distance to downtown. There is a restaurant there as well. Clean well appointed rooms. The front staff was also nice enough to answer all my questions about the progress of the renovations and restoration and repair of the city after the earthquake.

The room was simple, but elegant and perfect for a stay. Service was lovely at check-in and check-out. We had the full breakfast, which I ate far too much of! The selection was brilliant, the poached eggs perfect and the juices were a nice touch in the reusable bottles (yay for recycling ♻️) All in all, a perfect choice for our Wedding night stay.

Nice place. Decent room with huge bed. Crucially it had quiet and functional air con, which was good as was freezing outside. Nice breakfast and decent well used bar.

I attended a one day workshop at Rushes. The room was set up well, with tea coffee and water provided. The staff were very efficient and accommodating. A light lunch was provided of wraps, bread, fruit and cakes.

Stayed in Christchurch with my wife before our flight out of NZ back to AUS. We found the newly built hotel and restaurant to be our best experience in Christchurch. Room was clean and modern and the dining in the restaurant was excellent (bookings are essential!). Would highly recommend to anybody looking to stay in a Hotel in Christchurch.

A beautifully presented hotel very close to the city. Attended a three day conference and I can not fault this hotel in any way. The staff were attentive and very friendly. I will definitely recommend this hotel. I should have rated then 5 stars instead of 4

Loved staying here for a week. Every detail was incredible. The breakfast was hot, fresh and delicious every day and Bloody Mary's was a great spot to have a few drinks. Will stay again.

The staff are friendly and professional. Accommodation is great as is the services. It would be good if they could fix their curtains so that when you close them there is no gap and manually closing them is a hassle. All round though it is a very good hotel.

I went there for a seminar and a Christmas event. The meeting room was big room we had almost 150peoples and it wasn't too crowded. Good video projector and sound across the room. They served lunch which was well run and good quantity and the staff was friendly.

Really nice rooms, pretty much in the middle of the city. Free parking and bar and restaurant were really good, though the bar staff weren't the most onto it.

Great location. Friendly staff. Comfy bed and room quiet and dark...so much so I slept in! Very clean and spacious!

Nice hotel. Did not eat at restaurant, but had room service which was fine, chips had salt already on them and a bit salty for my liking. Bar ok although the first drink was hard to get served.

Quite rigid on check in and check out times. Although I requested use of sauna three times, it did not get switched on and I could not get it to work. Staff very efficient in other ways. Hotel very clean and tidy.

Nice modern looking room with a good mini bar selection. The bed and pillows are very comfortable, I had a great night sleep. Water pressure in the shower is really good.
The breakfast buffet selection is fantastic, the eggs were perfectly poached and bacon crispy.
The layout makes it easy to get what you want to eat without waiting too long when it's busy and the juice bottles are a unique touch. The coffee from the barista was really nice and the staff are very friendly.

Good location in the city. Quiet and nice confortable rooms. Wifi works well with good speed. They have a nice restaurant and bar attached to the hotel. But no convenience store within walking distance.

We enjoyed our stay at the Rydges Latimer. Room was spacious, modern and clean (as was the bathroom). Onsite restaurant was great and you are so close to CHC city. Just 5 minutes walk.

Room was awesome, big and spacious, comfortable, clean. Couldn't ask for anything more. Staff were friendly. Restaurant was good too, awesome steak. Plenty of parking. About a block away from the cbd, so easy access to everything.

Worth the booking if you're after a warm, cozy place. Excellent amenities, great customer service. The breakfast buffet can spoil your tummy to overflowing.

Friendly and helpful staff. High standard of cleanliness. Gym with all the basic equipment (treadmill, rowing mach etc.) The bar and restaurant attached (Bloody Mary's) is excellent.

This hotel was amazing. Relatively new and spotless. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was really nice and we'll stocked. Had the breakfast buffet and had great selection of food. Close to many amenities and large parking lot. I would stay here again and would recommend it to others.

Very nice hotel. It's clean, and the staff is friendly. The gym has a little more to offer than some of the hotels that I've stayed at in New Zealand. It's close to all sorts of restaurants, bars, and shops. It's also within walking distance to the botanic gardens.

Only two very small complaints.

1) The internet is very slow. It's also free though, so I can't complain too much.

2) There isn't a ton of parking. This wasn't a huge deal for us. We got lucky and got the last available spot, but I haven't seen very many open spots the rest of the time that we've been here.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Stayed for one night due back again in a few days time. Excellent hotel. Bloody Mary's for Dinner. Chateaubriand sharing meal. Absolutely out of this world. Breakfast also excellent. Just down the road from Christchurch Cardboard Cathederal.

Staff are very friendly and supportive. The room is clean and comfortable. Hotel is located in the city centre near to the ruined cathedral and the cardboard cathedral.

The security of the hotel is great where the guest rooms on each floor is only accessible by using the room key card.

The Free Wi-Fi is super fast compared to most other hotels in New Zealand.

Attended for conference, free wifi, a little slow in the peak Times, cabled connection in room didn't work but not a major... Good staff and conference facilities for small conferences. Great diving and events after on site.

Lovely hotel for the chill, hip and the cool travelers among us. Extremely friendly staff, huge rooms, very clean, excellent food and perfectly situated if you do not mind walking through beautiful Christchurch ;)

I stay at this property for a single night several times a year. As befits a near-new, purpose-designed building, a lot of things are better than average. There are plenty of power points; the WiFi is of good quality; bathroom / shower excellent; great-quality king beds. A refurb has begun, with improvements to decor to soften the somewhat 'industrial' initial fit-out. This is a very welcome addition, and moves the rooms up to firmly upscale. It is good to see the same faces in the hotel's crew from visit to visit. For as long as I frequently visit Christchurch, Rydges Latimer will be my stay of choice.

Great place to stay. Quiet and comfortable. Restaurant is very popular both with those staying in and locals.

Once again, Rydges has delivered a fantastic experience. The check in was painless, in fact, I was able to do this on line. The room was immaculate and the Bloody Mary's restaurant was flawless in its' delivery of a beautiful butchers board with 3 excellent cuts of meat.

Have been coming to Rydges on business for the better part of a year. Hotel is always very efficient and Justine (marketing manager? ) seems to go out if her way to ensure guests feel special. Often with some treat left in your room.

The rooms and food are good but the extra attention are what will keep me coming back!

Chose to stay here one night for our wedding anniversary since we knew they had an excellent restaurant. We were not disappointed. The hotel has been rebuilt after the 2011 earthquake which devastated the city so it is modern with all you need from a four star hotel. Only possible thing missing might be a pool of some description. The staff are very helpful & friendly with nothing too much trouble. The rooms are spacious, although the bathrooms fairly small. Free wifi is fast and unlimited for 2 devices. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others looking for a reasonably priced decent hotel in Christchurch.

On arrival ( booked online) our request for twin beds was not known, but helpful staff arranged our twin beds. Room only had 1 milk in fridge, but on our way out later in evening requested more milk; staff arranged that while out. On checkout asked in we used anything from the room mini-bar, said no , then informed that we had something from our first night. This was nil. My conclusion is that housekeeping slipped up and did not check minibar on the previous occupants checkout

Perfect....Modern New hotel within easy walking distance to the city centre. Clean stylish rooms with friendly staff. Breakfast was tasty and just the right amount of food options for a hotel of this size. Healthy options also. Althougg still a lot under construction, some great spots to explore nearby in the new buildings within the redevelopment area.

This was our second stay at the hotel in the past two weeks. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The bar area is lively with a good choice of bar food at reasonable prices. Breakfast choice in the restaurant is very good. On our second visit recently we were lucky enough to be on the top floor with lovely views of the port hills. Lots of parking and wifi is good. Easy walk into Christchurch city centre. Very good value for money. If we are visiting Christchurch in the future we will be back. This hotel is ideally located for the centre of the city. The staff are attentive and polite, rooms are quiet and comfortable, breakfast is good as is the food in the restaurant in the evening - great steaks! There is a good sized car park too which is handy.

Great rooms, staff are friendly and helpful, they have the best steak restaurant in town amazing atmosphere, staff have great knowledge in wine and on the different cut of beef available.

The room was great, quiet, comfortable and clean. The bed and pillows were also fantastic. Breakfast and dinner were great. Staff were professional and courteous however lacked warmth. With a welcoming heartfelt smile on check-in the whole mood would have been enhanced. Overall if staff were friendlier the score would jump to a 4-5.

This was my third stay. I find your staff great, especially the bar and restaurant staff. The rooms are OK, a little sparse and clinical. The restaurant menu is not as good as on previous visits, the prices to me are very expensive and not representative of range and quality offered. Has there been a change in restaurant management?

Had a very good stay here. Location is excellent. Parking is adequate but crowded during peak hours. Restaurant is excellent!

Was lovely to come back to the room after a very long day, and my bags had been taken up and the heat pump turned on. I have never stayed in a room so clean and cosy

Good quality hotel in great location. Rooms are very comfortable and modern. Bar/Restaurant area pleasant however extremely noisy with bar patrons, particularly between 6pm and 8pm. Not over conducive to enjoying a relaxing evening meal. Reception area a real dogs breakfast, particularly around 9.30am - Noon with check-out and arrivals congregating, making negotiating your way through even to get to the entry/exit difficult at best. Regardless, would recommend the hotel as being excellent amenity and value having regard to the amount of rehabilitation still to be achieved in Christchurch.

my room was comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast in the main restaurant was the best restaurant buffet breakfast I have ever had - anywhere - particularly liked the fish cakes and hash browns - and there was so much choice!! staff were friendly and helpful. conference facilities were great - temperature control was great in all areas and sound systems were excellent. first time i have ever been to a dinner/event and felt comfortable all evening, and accoustics great as I could hear my fellow guests over the music. Only picky point - my chicken at the gala dinner was a bit dry - and where was the sauce?

I started stay at the old latimer the new latimer Is fresh and clean hotel with awesome staff and management

Fantastic stay, staff going out of their way to make it amazing for us, and also the way they helped us get the best deal with staying with them, will do it again! :)
