Very nice place to meet friends and take some cocktails

An okay hotel for business. Not a big fan of the windowless basement rooms. Delicious breakfast!

Went to the restaurant for lunch, was greeted by charmingly friendly staff who - in spite of this being a buffet lunch - introduced the dishes in a nice way, and genuinely cared about what we thought about the food (which was great, btw). A generous buffet of greens accompanied the mains. For a lunch place, this was well above expectations!

Very nice stay, friendly and competent staff, quite room with a comfortable bed and a very generous breakfast with tasty coffee. Perfect for me, I will come back.

The only ideas I would have for improvement would be a hotel sauna and please give me next time a room with a wall paper which would give me not such wild dreams ;-)

Great location. Breakfast was good with lots of choices. Hard to find a table due to dishes wasn't cleared, had to sit at a bar table to eat my breakfast. Many "empty" tables but they were not cleared.

Good value and excellent location. Some really good eateries close by and a short walk to public transportation. I recommend to all.

A hipster hotel close to the heart of Stockholm. The subway station is literally below the hotel. A great breakfast buffet every morning! Beds comfortable.

The hotel itself is good for the price. The location is great if you are looking for a hotel close to the city center. Underground station is very close and a lot of interesting places in the walk distance. The room looks nice and was large enough. From the downsides, there were no fridge in the room and I used to get a bottle of water in a room, while I was staying in this type of hotels all over the Europe, but none of that in Malmen. Of course it is a not big issue at the end. They also not provide any cleaning stuff except the shower gel, shampoo and soap. The restaurant in the hotel is very good and the hotel and restaurant stuff is very friendly and professional. The breakfast wasn't the best for me because not a big choice of food but on the other side the food that they have is healthy and best quality.

Excellent location. Everything is new, modern. Spacious rooms, but showers are a bit cramped. If you are of the bigger variety you might have actual trouble getting in the shower stall due to the weird, rigid door. The breakfast selection is of epic proportions, do NOT miss it!

Come on travel. Stayed at the Scandic Malen in Stockholm, Sweden on Saturday, January 27 - 29th 2018 & it was a very nice stay, my spouse and I enjoyed the room with the exception of it not having a fridge, microwave ,but it's located around everything, and anything to get into for fun and entertainment, very busy city!!!!!!!

Trendy bar near Medborgarplatsen. Can get very crowded during the evening but still has a nice atmosphere

Had a good time at this hotel. The room had a perfect size and is also really good looking. ? The staff is also nice. The breakfast is amazing. There is for everyone something. The only thing I didn't really like was the food at the restaurant in the evening. I had a burger and it was not that good.

Best budget place to stay, very close to the center of Stockholm! The hotel is located in Södermalm district, on the island with the same name. It is very close to Gamla Stan, the old town and the center of Stockholm. The rooms are very spacious, nicely furnished, the staff very friendly. In my opinion, Scandic Malmen is the best place to stay on budget in Stockholm.

Nice and central. Rooms have a cosy homely feel to them. Breakfast area is in what is used as a bar in the evening so a bit grotty!

But take care if you leave the room and your cash is not in the safe or you take it with you...they will steal it!. Otherwise is a good hotel if it were not because after issue the claim, we are still waiting the call of the manager (or supervisor)...

It's a nice location in the heart of Stockholm however it's a bit loud at night as there are several bars and clubs in the area. So if you're looking for a spot with a great night life it's great. If you're a family with a baby looking for quiet it's less great. The room is clean and large enough for a crib but not all rooms have a refrigerator so storing milk isn't always easy. They do have a fridge at the front desk that they will store things for you but...it's not helpful if you need a bottle at 3 AM because the baby woke up from loud yelling outside and don't want to go to the desk to get it. Its extremely close to the underground which is nice. Overall it's a great hotel it's just better if you're younger and want to have easy access to nightlife. That's not the hotel's fault it's all about location.

Perfect situated in the middle of Södermalm close to the subway station. Clean room, well equipped but a bit small. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast with both bacon, eggs and sandwiches.

We got a room without a window, very unpleasant to wake up. Breakfast was nice, only the staff couldn't keep up with cleaning the tables on Sunday so there were very few clean tables. Other days it wasn't a problem Staff was very friendly.

Really nice hotel. Very friendly staff. Perfect location, just outside of the busy part of the city but with really good transport links. I stayed in a room with no windows, but I would have preferred windows and maybe a kettle if I stayed again.

This a nice hotel and the facilities were great, but the bed was too springy and felt bowed in; like sleeping in a bowl. If I had a better mattress, I'd give it a 4 :D

It was a lovely hotel. I had a room near that was clean and just right for me. Near the metro and hop on hop off bus and local buses. Good selection of food in hotel for breakfast and lovely fresh food for dinner good value for money. Friendly staff. Cocktail lounge

Not my usual place to stay in Stockholm but a satisfactory experience. I would usually stay in the Scandic Klara where I would say it is a little more dated but much better location and the breakfast arrangement is nicer. The staff at Malmen are a bit hit and miss, no extra perks for being a gold card member either and this is always delivered at the Klara. Not a bad hotel but not the best Stockholm has to offer.

Drinks under the heat lamps were fine. Bar was 20+ which was not ideal

I've been to Scandic Malmen many times (always on the weekend) and the atmosphere is truly horrible. The wine is too expensive and doesn't taste good at all. The bathroom is always full and just because there is no "men and women" bathroom, it takes so long time. The security guards outside will not allow you to enter if you say you had more than one beer. Honestly, "Scandic Malmen" is only the name, but no quality.

Nice hotel with an awesome bar/nightclub. Helpful staff and a great breakfast. Very nice location with a view of medborgarplatsen.

Very conveniently located hotel with great amenities. It's about a half block from the metro, offers a great breakfast, and had a great price considering everything. Walking distance to tons of great bars and nightlife. Would definitely consider staying here again if I came back to Stockholm.

Room was great. The bar in the lobby had to have bouncers... and it was really loud. Not a great experience when the bouncers tell you you're not allowed into the hotel you paid to have a room in!

I can not say much about the hotel rooms because I have never stayed at this hotel, but the hotel bar is cool with really nice staff.

An ok selection of beer, and the bartenders were service minded, but it was rather expensive :-)

Very near to metro...the hotel situated in good location...and you can get a hop on hop off bus near by..

I have visited this hotel bar a lot of times and I am very pleased with the service and especially the drinks they make. Sometimes the music really isnt my taste and a lot of hipsters and alternative public gather but each to their own. Very good place.

The bar is good, they're playing good music sometimes loud but it's fun. Not really a great place to go dancing but it's all right

The hotel rooms were nice, the staff is friendly and helpful and the breakfast choice was good. Unfortunately the hotel is located opposite a night club and unless you are a heavy sleeper or stay out late then I think it will disturb your sleep. That is all that really let let the hotel down in my opinion as I couldn't find anything about the hotel itself to criticise.

Never stayed at the hotel but the bars are great. The live music can often be very high standard. Otherwise good location to start of a night.

Hotel has a good location, Scandic's full breakfast, it is close to shops and old town. The price little beat higher then other Scandic hotels. I looked for a discount offer and third time stayed there with my family.

I was here for a long weekend and the place was great. Very close to the old town and right next to the metro. The staff was very helpful and the people who work there nice. The rooms are clean and beds comfy. What else do you need? The only problem is that it is a bit on the pricey side.

Not too shabby, a little beat up. Tad on the pricey side but you can't beat the location.
