Best location on the Broadwalk - right on the beach. Staff & manager are great. Accommodated all requests promptly and with a smile. Room was very nice, facing ocean. Nearby parking is included in room rate, which is a $25 - $30 Savings compared to most other hotels on beach. Good restaurant for breakfast and lunch right next door. Only a 1 minute walk to concert bandstand at Johnson St.

I enjoyed my stay lots of choices for restaurants and right on the Hollywood Boardwalk. Great prices and super nice and attentive staff.

1st time here, enjoyed it very much, staff very friendly, beach beautiful and so close, boardwalk was a blast. Unfortunately on 2nd night had a herd of buffalo on floor above us- when we complained it stopped for a little while! Will definitely return.

Great location, good staff but we had a rowdy neighbor screaming, cussing, and slamming things for three nights in a row. The guy would scream for hours in the middle of the night(usually from 12-9 am), called the desk every night and nothing was ever done. It was ridiculous. The walls are already super thin so him screaming and being violent made it sound like he was standing next to us.

This hotel offers great service at the beach. Super close and chairs & towels are for free (as parking is). The rooms are ok. All in all a good choice

The hotel itself is only OK. And I had troubles with the water in the shower. It is not so warm. But their location is all you can dream when being close to the beach. I loved the beach here. The hotel faces the beach.

The room is clean, nice and comfortable but what makes this hotel extra special is the fact you are only 5 steps away from the beach, "literally". It's surrounded by restaurants, offering different kinds of food, bars, a convenient store, and a cafe right outside the hotel. I will keep coming back.

I will say the truth. I stayed there this past labor day weekend. I spoke to Patricia on the phone and she was as pleasant as she could be. Super sweet. I check in and loved the feel of the hotel. Saw Patricia and greeted me with a great smile and even recalled our conversation on the phone. Our shower handle to turn on the water was broken so I called and the manager came to try to fix it. He coul dnt but offered me 8% off but he did offer to call someone . My room was great. Great view. The service and the staff is beyond my expectations. My hat goes off to Patricia and the girl up front with red hair , I can't recall her name but I was treated very kindly. I will return and stay again real soon.

I'm a big fan of The Sheldon Hotel. I call it a gem unnoticed right on the beach. Staff and rooms are great.

Went in to inquire about rates and availability. Front desk person friendly. Lobby was nice in presentation. They were booked up.

Very clean and comfortable rooms, great view on the oceanfront we rented. Mauricio de manager was very polite and accommodating. The rest of the staff were great too. We will definetely come back.

Still my favorite hotel in The Miami area. Wake up on the beach. Clean modern rooms and amazing staff. Free chair and umbrella rentals for the guests.

I'll start by saying the hotel is right on the beach deserving another star. It's negative comes from the run down, old interior which was concealed with modern looking parts. However, you could tell they tried to hide the age of this place. Maybe they should have improved the interior by preserving its history somehow. Which leads to my next observation. Quit reading if you don't want to read a weird story. We stayed in the "Requelle Welch" room. I woke up to an old man blocking off the door cracks with sheets as if he was gassing us. He was wearing a suit without a tie and said something like "breathe easy" or "have a nice breath". Something sarcastic. I said loudly "you don't belong in here". Next thing I remember, someone is wrapping a blindfold around my head while I'm saying "please don't do this". He is then going "shhh shhhh shhh". In a whispering like voice. Next thing I realize, I'm awake and in shock. I'm looking around and realize I'm not dead but am relieved it might have been a nightmare. I have never had such a vivid experience nor have I had experienced any such feeling of being murdered before. I don't suffer from ptsd or have issues with nightmares. I truly believe something paranormal happened. I asked my friend what she experienced and she said she heard me say "you don't belong in here" while sleeping but did not experience anything. Why would I have such a vivid dream with explicit actions that were not otherwise waking experiences drawn into a dream? I could explain nothing. As someone who has had lucid dreams before, this was much different and felt very real and was pretty scary. I tried researching murders at the hotel but it seems the hotel has changed their name? Not much history to report. It would be interesting to know if anything like that happened. I also think that if this was not murder, it may have been an attempt to lessen the impact of a deadly fire? Perhaps the man was trying to stop smoke from entering while the blind folder wanted me to numb my senses from the fire? Either way, it was freaky and surreal. Rip to whoever may have perished and needed the living to feel their suffering.

Recently stayed here. If you know the area lots of the hotels go waaay back so expect a little different. Hotel has been modernized but sure would be nice if they could offer balconies for ocean front rooms. Probably too expensive to retro fit but I'm splitting hairs. Nice clean place righ next to all the main action.

Super inexpensive for what you are getting, service on par with what you get in that area. So if you want perfectly adequate lodging with adequate service at an absolutely awesome location for an awesome price, Sheldon should be your go to.

If you have money to burn and like to spend it on people kissing your a**, go someplace else.

I stayed with my family this Fathers day weekend and it was so nice. the front desk Patricia and Marcelo where awesome. We got to the hotel early and Patricia was kind enough to accommodate us with early check in. The view of our room to the ocean was amazing. when you first walk in it feels like you are walking into a boutique. Rooms are modern. very nice Experience. Definitely will be coming back. Nice clean room, right on the beach!

I really appreciate the free chairs and beach umbrella's for guests. Staff was kind and attentive.

Pleasantly suprised at the hotel. The rooms have been updated recently and are extremely nice. The rooms are also bigger than a normal hotel. Staff was very accommodating with requests, such as holding bags until check in and after check out. The big thing is that this is right on the boardwalk and just a few feet from the beach. Towels, chairs, and umbrellas were provided free by the hotel.

Mariano was best! Their customer service wasa impeccable. This is definitely our hotel!

If you haven't stayed here in the last year, you have to come back. They have done a great job renovating and have kept the prices very competitive. Every staff member goes out of their way to make sure you have a great stay. We will be coming back this winter!

the rooms are not big but it is under renovations so great things are expected... great customer service!!!! complementary beach chairs, towels, umbrellas and best of all right on the ocean... not to mention in the middle of all the nightlife... would recomend to my family and friends... staying here from now on....
