I stayed for two nights and I found this hotel to be great! The food was truly delicious and cooked perfectly. The service I received was absolutely outstanding. The reception staves were always friendly, courteous, and always willing to help if you any concerns. I must strongly and highly recommend you to everyone!

My fiance and I spent a night at this castle looking super hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and the food at the fountain view restaurant is well above average. They are currently underway with some renovations to further enhance their lavish estate, so we'll be excited to see it when it's complete. Definitely going back!

Very friendly receptionists and bar tender.

Antoinette and Maureen are amazing and definitely a reason to book this enormous hotel! The bar tender looks, talks (twaks) and acts like a character from movie of the Godfather. Great place before taking a flight from Newark.

The rooms, service, and festivities for the wedding I attended were fabulous. Due to the quantity of the people we had we may have made an already irritating problem with the elevators worse. But all in all, it was lovely

The service was sub par this time. First we booked a king room, they gave us a queen, had to switch rooms. It was handled quickly and was fine. Went to find the hot tub was not filled enough and wasn't hot. Told the front desk, by morning it was still not resolved. Then a fire alarm was set off. No help from the staff at all, the elevators were shut off and I could not find a stairwell to attempt to make it back to my wife who was on the 22nd floor at the time. Finally after about 10 mins we were told it was false alarm and there was nothing to worried about. My wife doesn't ever stay there again. We have been going there for a few years now and lately the service seems to be getting worse and worse.

By far the best hotel I have stayed. Me and my girlfriend were lucky enough to be upgraded free of charge to the club room which is the top floor. But the coolest part are the elevator believe or not they are super fast.

Beautiful modern hotel spectacular views of the mountains impecable service food & staff.

The entire premises spotless to rival a Ritz Carlton.

What can U say, and the rates just terrific. Little known secret. Quietly nestled in its peaceful beautiful property. Vacation by itself.

The hotel was beautiful, the room was clean ,the bed was comfortable, the view of the hills are wonderful the swimming pool is well maintained, easy check in & out is quick. We had access to one freight & passenger elevator. The breakfast was good hot food buffet, cereal etc fresh fruit. Catering on premises, our food was good and the service was good, but slow. There was plenty of parking. The lobby was pretty. There is a restaurant on premises with bar. Overall better than average, 4 Star.

Looks great from outside but beauty is only skin deep. Staff tried to be helpful but is slow and barely serviceable. Front desk sometimes doesn't pick up phone. Bar isn't open reliably. The place needs repairs and fixing from the broken windows and escalator to damaged windows, ceilings and entrance way to the inoperative TV checkout system. See my pictures.

Ok hotel, a bit in the middle of nowhere though. Attended a wedding here and staff were pretty good, and it was a good time. Not a bad place to be. That being said, nothing really around and the hotel is pretty simple so if not attending an event, mostly only good for sleeping.

Awesome location. Beautiful interior design.
BUT very rude and unprofessional staff and services. I was really surprised that they could not give me hot water at 11:15 pm as if I'm asking for something special. The attitude of the service staff was poor and impolite... He made it sound like a huge favor he is doing to me... Just for providing hot water!!!

Everything smelled fresh and was very clean so clean you could lick the floor but who would want to take that risk, No other hotel can beat this price because the view alone is worth a million dollars. The staff here serves you as if you are an executive at a fortune 500 company. The quality of the food Is 50/50 for instance the dinner was 5 stars however the breakfast was as if no love nor care no effort had even went into it.

Very nice place. Big and beautiful, but in the middle of nowhere. Rooms were clean and in good condition . A little eerie heading into the parking lot and the grounds as if entering a campus of abandoned sites. Once you get into the hotel it's absolutely beautiful. I love the elevator with the outside View. I think that's the only elevator. I found out there was indoor parking behind the building but only after parking in the front lot.

Great hotel. Great parking. Great views as well from the rooms but the amenities says free breakfast but found out that it’s only 2 per room so when our family checked in with 2 kids (family of 4), the front desk said the kids weren’t included in the free breakfast. Needed Expedia to step in and help us out since we booked with them. In the end, they were kind enough to give a voucher for our kids as well.

This is my second visit for Thanksgiving. The hotel restaurant has a thanksgiving dinner special that we like to take advantage of, and the next day we go shopping at the mall or outlets to start our Christmas shopping. Unfortunately the club lounge was under renovations. But we had a nice stay.

6

Disappointed nobody told me the pool was under construction then told I could go across the street and swim for free? This was a special trip, topped off by a stay at Sheraton crossroads. Was the worst night. My sirloin steak was horrible. Buffett breakfast was 30.00???It was the best food of the stay not worth 30.00. The advertised club was also closed. Seems like a hotel suffering for business would try and and get something going for a Friday night to bring people in. And the parking lot is about a half mile to the entrance, because they have a big fountain and pool out front. They get a 3 should be aa 1 because the bed was a 10, the view and bathroom, was worthy of Sheraton name.

The hotel is really nice looking. Staff is very accommodating and the room that we got was a corner room so larger than average and really nice. We did it specifically for the hotel being pet friendly. That said it is not without its drawbacks. The thermostat in the room had to stay at 62 to keep the room at a livable temperature. It only goes to 60 for cooler sleepers, you will be out of luck. The breakfast buffet is a whopping $18 per person for food a Hampton Inn gives everyone for free. The shuttle to the town doesn't have a schedule and we were told it could drop us off but not pick us up which made it useless. Overall the place is nice but overpriced. If you don't need pet friendly I would look elsewhere unless you have the money to spare.

I love this hotel because it's a place not too far but you can get away and feel like you're away and it's a very nice hotel. Of course the restaurant is very expensive. There's nothing right next to it but everything is a short drive from it. You can go to the movies, different malls and other stuff in the mall to do. Lots of places to eat where you're not spending a ton of money for what the hotel charges. Breakfast is the most outrageous pricing st the hotel than any other meal and it's just crazy. One time we were here and they had a car show and Eddie from the munsters was there with memorabilia. The hotel is very beautiful.

Hotel staff was very accommodating, letting us check in early. Internet is amazing, as fast as I've ever had at a restaurant. The room is very small though, we can barely fit our pack and play next to the queen size beer. The view is amazing though.

Absolutely beautiful building. Staff is super friendly. and they are doing renovations to most of their rooms. Room size was perfect and room was clean. One thing I didn't understand was they do not do complimentary coffee on the weekend. For $3.25 a cup, you can definitely get coffee elsewhere.

7

While this was probably a great place, now it's undergoing some renovation. The rooms are probably ok for 1 night but small without any storage chest or drawers, so stay for 2-3 nights or longer will feel uncomfortable as you have to live out of bags. Bathroom doors not have exhaust so it will fog after a shower. Bathroom door opens in wrong direction and will be a nuisance each time you use bathroom. I saw loose carpet at few places - but I guess renovation will fix that. Despite these physical issues, I thought the service is very good.

The service was great, the blond lady in the restaurant was very friendly. She took my order and seeing I was the only person in the restaurant , we talked while I enjoyed there turkey club sandwich! ! It was bigger then I thought, and the French fries tasted great also. The new rooms are snug area wise but that's my only complaint. The bed was soft, the pillows were fluffy, and the room was clean

My experience with the Sheraton began with the roads on hotel property. They are in poor condition, with potholes and cracks throughout. This was disappointing and not what you'd expect from a luxury hotel, a premonition perhaps for how a guests' stay at the Sheraton in Mahwah will most likely turn out. The walk from the parking lot the main lobby is not marked with any signs or convenient walkways. The lobby, although somewhat impressive, is not well-maintained nor is it cleaned well. The receptionist that checked my wife and I in at the desk was professional, but not friendly or welcoming. In fact, he didn't smile or welcome us to the hotel. After checking in we took the elevator to our room which was located on the 20th floor. The glass elevator showed the entire landscape around the hotel, which was very impressive. The glass window adjacent to the hotel wasn't clean, though, and it detracted from the view. The room condition was fair. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. There was also complimentary Starbucks coffee, a nice perk. However, the leather on the headboard and one of the room chairs was very worn, greatly detracting from the room aesthetics. When I called up the front desk in the morning and asked where the Club Lounge was located (I paid extra for access) the manager almost immediately said that I didn't have access to it. I'm pretty sure he didn't even look up my booking. I explained that I paid extra for it and that when I checked in the receptionist confirmed this. The manager continued to refute this, even talking over me while I tried explaining that I had paid for access. Finally, most likely when he actually looked up my booking, he acknowledged that I had paid for access and told me where the Club Lounge was located. However, he made no apology for his adament deniles of my available services. He behavior was unprofessional and certainly not befitting a manager. When I went to the Club Lounge I discovered that my key card did not grant me access, a mistake most likely by the not-so-friendly receptionist - not friendly and not competent. I was able to get access to the Club Lounge once another guest exited. Unfortunately, the breakfast was meager; certainly not what you'd expect for a paid breakfast. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen a complimentary breakfast as limited as the Club Lounge. What was available was not well stocked either. The juice container was nearly empty, the fruit salad was almost completely gone, and coffee was not made in advance for the guests. No employees offered any assistance to me either. Overall, I was a bit disappointed with the aesthetics, customer service, and paid services available at the Sheraton. The experience I had with one of the managers make me think that the hotel has managerial issues from the top down. In summary, the Sheraton at Mahwah does not live up to the perceived grandeur of the building, let alone the Sheraton brand name.

The Mahwah Hotel provided continental breakfast and service for all. The building skyrocketed over all and the view was beautiful. The price was reasonable and was a sensable stay. We swam in the heated pool and hot tub and couldn't leave. I would love to return and have the time of my life.

It was an OK stay. The location is quite isolated. And the hotel building is huge. But the room is surprisingly small considering how open the area is. The room quality is average in every aspect. Not especially clean but not bad. The pool is good in size and water temperature is on the warm side - good for the kids. I wouldnt pick this hotel if not just for a night on the road.

9

Excellent hotel. Some pluses were the Starbucks pods in your room so you can make yourself a good cup of coffee before leaving if you have little time in the morning. Hotel was elegant and seemed well maintained. Room was smaller than typical but all fixtures in the room and bathroom worked well.
Hotel is right off NJ 17 but finding the exit is a little hard, you have to pay good attention to your GPS because the signs for the hotel aren't very large. But you can easily see the hotel when you're driving as it's the tallest building in the area.
Very close to food and shopping. Conveniently close to the New World Headquarters of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Excellent stay, highly recommended.

I must say the Sheraton Mahwah Hotel is gorgeous. The staff was nice and friendly. The whole hotel was immaculate. The room was beautiful and the view was amazing. I had a Club Lounge room and it was so nice to have coffee, water or soda anytime for free. There were even snacks. Continental breakfast was included in the room I stayed in. The breakfast was great as well. The pool was great. Nice and warm, and the hot tub was hot. It felt great to relax in the hot tub and then take a dip in the pool. I love the Sheraton and will definitely stay there again.

Went there for a wedding, and the elevators did not work whatsoever. Out of the three, only one worked correctly which also took 10 mintues to arrive. The desk clerk didn't know any information about where breakfast was being held for the wedding guests. He led us to the wrong party's breakfast. When we actually got to the correct place, we came to realize that breakfast wasn't even ready to be served (they were "running late"). The venues for ceremonies held prior to the wedding were not ready in time for the event either, also pushing the event back an hour. They charged the newlyweds' family (who paid for the rooms), as well as us. They double charged us. Although the stay was comfortable, would not recommend for a huge event...

Was there for a wedding. It seems to be located in the middle of nowhere. The room rate was a bit high so we decided not to stay. It's overall quite spacious and we had a little troubke finding the access road to the hotel itself. We used the 12th floor ballroom and it was very well catered. For a day that was billed to be one of the hottest out here I'm a little surprised that they didn't have the AC on properly in the lobby, the elevator and the pre-wedding ballroom area. I think this was a big let down esp for someone like me who really feels the heat in a suit. Overall, it was a good hotel but nothing to write home about.

Recently stayed overnight while visiting family. Hotel was extremely comfortable even though there was a large wedding party and another event going on there. Bed was very comfortable with nice bedding. The property is large and expansive and set back alone from the road. The pool area was very nice with cushioned lounge chairs. It has separate toilet shower areas in the pool area including towels to dry off with and toiletries, blow dryer, everything you need to finish up with using the gym or the pool. The restaurant had a buffet which we ate which was good. We didn't use the restaurant other than the buffet but the room service menu was expansive and looked very reasonably priced. We will definitely stay here again. Close to New York and lots of nice towns to visit.

My second time staying at the Sheraton Mahwah. The hotel is beautiful, rooms are comfortable and breakfast was delivered to the room on time and was great. Only negative is I was not made aware there was a high school senior prom going on the same evening as my stay. Needless to say I was awake a good part of the night due to the noise.

Nice looking hotel, friendly staff, clean rooms, however the hotel isn't as shiny on the inside as it looks from the exterior, low drop-tile ceilings and lack of outlets made it feel somewhat out of date, not show-stopping, but not quite what I expected from Sheraton

Incredibly big and blue against the skyline this hotel was certainly easy to spot! There aren't many other things around so you'll need a car, but from here it's nice and easy to get out to Bear Mountain.

The walls are paper thin, especially when you have an adjoining room.

Ask for a high room if you like heights, the lift is half glass and the view is great!

This passed May, we celebrated our daughter's graduation from law school, at this Sheraton and we couldn't be more satisfied of everything about the hotel.

The hotel itself is gorgeous, the staff wonderful, starting by catering manager Felix Hidalgo, who worked with us all steps of the way to have a beautiful party for our daughter and guests who still talking about the party. Dora the waitress' supervisor was highly accommodating and with a wonderful attitude as well as all personnel. Food was delicious, as well as all the exquisite desserts.

Thank you so much for making my daughter's party a success!!

We had our wedding & reception at this hotel. This staff was absolutely AMAZING from start to finish! Felix Hidalgo was our sales manager and he was such a pleasure to work with. At the time when I got married, I had already worked in the South Asian weddings industry for 6 years. So for 6 years, I created this perfect vision for my wedding in my head. Also, I am somewhat of a perfectionist and was a very detailed bride which meant I was constantly driving Felix nuts. But he never once made me feel that way! He was always so welcoming and accommodating to all of our requests. What shocked me the most was when we received our final banquet order. I reviewed every little detail on that order but I did not have any changes to make. I’m not sure how he did it but he remembered every little thing we discussed!

On the day of our wedding, we were in absolute awe! These maître ds brought their “A” game. Dora guided everyone perfectly. She was so helpful throughout the entire ceremony. She even guarded the flower girl halos until it was time! My family praised her efficiency many times even after the wedding. Frank managed the reception event and he did it so flawlessly. One of my friends asked my bridesmaid during cocktail hour, “What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be busy with bridesmaids’ tasks?” Her response was, “see this is the thing about this wedding, it’s planned so well that we can actually enjoy everything!” I can honestly say that if you do not have a TEAM like Felix, Dora, Frank and bartenders like Jen…no matter how well planned your event is..the execution will not be as expected.

Last but not least, my husband and I both had every single food and drink item on our menu that day! How many times do you hear that the bride and groom were able to enjoy every meal at their wedding? This and much more is all thanks to the Sheraton Mahwah staff. Thank you for making my vision of 6 years and both of our hopes and dreams a reality. Definitely one of the best bang for our buck!
