Skodsborg Kurhotel & Spa

Welcome to Skodsborg
Skodsborg Kurhotel & Spa welcomes you to a modern hotel with spa, conference, restaurant, fitness and health facilities. The hotel is
located in beautiful and scenic surroundings, just next to oresund and Dyrehaven. You will find us only a 20 minute drive from Copenhagen and a 40 minute direct train ride from Copenhagen Airport.
Come visit us as a hotel guest or indulge in a spa stay, giving you room to relax, reflect and recharge. We have a broad selection of
soothing treatments, culinary experiences and refreshing mind-body activities. A visit to Skodsborg Kurhotel & Spa is also a glimpse of Danmarks unique royal history. Denmarks King Frederik VII (1808-1863) and
his third wife Countess Louise Danner stayed here every summer and found Skodsborg to be their favourite hideaway. Here they had
Villa Rex built to accommodate State Council meetings and other royal functions. Today Villa Rex is fully restored; decorated in colours
and interiors reflecting the original architectural blueprints and now functions as venue for banquets, private parties and meetings.

Very nice hotel in a "posh" area, but also a price is high. Breakfast was very nice, we didnt take the organic menu for 250DKK, bud ordered omelette, this was 3times cheaper and very good. Rooms were also nice and comfortable. Mine had a king size bed, spacious living part and really nice bathroom with separate shower and bath. I liked also a terrace facing the see with Sweedesh coast in a distance. Spa was also nice, one hot 90degrees sauna though, several other "rooms" like sauna 50degree, steam room, some salty room and few corners to relax. Also there is outside part with Jacuzzi, cold bath and a big sauna barrel... so I would say that only one thing I can say against is to find a way to spa, somehow the signs were not clear to lead us there and find the right entrance (and I was not only one who had this impression). But staff was very helpfull so no problem at the end ;)

I did not stay at the hotel, only uses their spa as a day guest. the spa facilities were absolutely incredible. people were friendly. I participated in a sauna gus followed by a jump in the sea (free, just a group of people standing around the entrance to a sauna saying “hey we’re doing this thing in 5min if you want to join?”) which was really awesome. the number of saunas, pools, tubs, steam baths etc. made it an incredible day of peace for me. it was mostly quiet although things were crowded in the morning. downside: the complete lack of towels. perhaps it is a european environ friendly thing, but i’m used to there being stacks of fresh towels around for guests to swap out from sitting in sauna to drying off after shower. this was not the case here. there were small washcloths available for sitting on in the sauna but nary a bath towel to be found (save the one given with the robe and slippers).

One of the finest, most exquisite experiences in the world. Spa and wellness to die for in beautiful, luxurious historic surroundings with direct access to Øresund. Three restaurants, one close to Michelin quality, and a fitness center tops it all off.
Will definitely be back.

Nice spa hotel with a rooftop, re-energizing and soothing. They rent bikes to ride the coast, go to visit Louisana Museum among many places. Breakfast was tasty but please add french bread.

The room was beautiful, in a very luxurious and classic style. The service was in top and the food was exclusive and one of the best tasting menus I have ever tried.

Lovely room, great dinner. Spa area was very busy during the afternoon, had to wait for some time to get a spot in the sauna and had to ask a few times for a towel. A few elements didn't work in the spa like a seat at the UV therapy, a water jet in the pool. Breakfast was very simple. A few touches could have made it a great stay.
